| 2 | Reproductive management through integration of PGD and MPS-based noninvasive prenatal screening/diagnosis for a family with GJB2-associated hearing impairment显示文摘A couple with a proband child of GJB2(encoding the gap junction protein connexin 26)-associated hearing impairment and a previous pregnancy miscarriage sought for a reproductive solution to bear a healthy child. Our study aimed to develop a customized preconception-to-neonate care trajectory to fulfill this clinical demand by integrating preimplantation genetic diagnosis(PGD), noninvasive prenatal testing(NIPT), and noninvasive prenatal diagnosis(NIPD) into the strategy. Auditory and genetic diagnosis of the proband child was carried out to identify the disease causative mutations. The couple then received in-vitro-fertilization treatment, and eight embryos were obtained for day 5 biopsy. PGD was performed by short-tandem-repeat linkage analysis and Sanger sequencing of GJB2 gene. Transfer of a GJB2 c.235del C heterozygous embryo resulted in a singleton pregnancy. At the 13 th week of gestation, genomic DNA(g DNA) from the trio family and cell-free DNA(cf DNA) from maternal plasma were obtained for assessment of fetal chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2 mutations. NIPT and NIPD showed the absence of chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2-associated disease in the fetus, which was later confirmed by invasive procedures and postnatal genetic/auditory diagnosis. | 6 | Psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare workers:a cross-sectional study in China显示文摘Background Healthcare workers fighting against the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic are under tremendous pressure,which puts them at an increased risk of developing psychological problems.Aims This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of psychological problems in different healthcare workers(ie,physicians,medical residents,nurses,technicians and public health professionals)during the COVID-19 pandemic in China and explore factors that are associated with the onset of psychological problems in this population during this public health crisis.Methods A cross-sectional,web-based survey was conducted in February 2020 among healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.Psychological problems were assessed using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale,Patient Health Questionnaire and Insomnia Severity Index.Logistic regression analyses were used to explore the factors that were associated with psychological problems.Results The prevalence of symptoms of anxiety,depression,insomnia and the overall psychological problems in healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic in China was 46.04%,44.37%,28.75%and 56.59%,respectively.The prevalence of the overall psychological problems in physicians,medical residents,nurses,technicians and public health professionals was 60.35%,50.82%,62.02%,57.54%and 62.40%,respectively.Compared with healthcare workers who did not participate in front-line work,front-line healthcare workers had a higher risk of anxiety,insomnia and overall psychological problems.In addition,attention to negative or neutral information about the pandemic,receiving negative feedback from families and friends who joined front-line work,and unwillingness to join front-line work if given a free choice were three major factors for these psychological problems.Conclusions Psychological problems are pervasive among healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.Receiving negative information and participating in front-line work appear to be.important risk factors for psychological problems.The psychological health of different healthcare workers should be protected during the COVID-19 pandemic with timely interventions and proper information feedback. | Jianyu Que Le Shi Jiahui Deng Jiajia Liu Li Zhang Suying Wu Yimiao Gong Weizhen Huang Kai Yuan Wei Yan Yankun Sun Maosheng Ran Yanping Bao Lin Lu | 2020 | General Psychiatry2020,33,3: | 8 |
| 7 | The input/removal rates of size-fractionated ^210Po in the Jiulongjiang estuary and its implications显示文摘The geochemical behaviors of dissolved (<0.4 mm), low molecular weight (<10 kDa) and colloidal (10 kDa- 0.4 mm) 210Po in surface waters from the Jiulongjiang estuary were examined and the input/removal rates of different 210Po species were estimated. Both dissolved and low molecular weight 210Po were considerably removed during estuarine mixing. However, colloidal 210Po was removed only at low salinity regions (S <15) but had input behavior at high salin-ity surface waters (S >15). The input/removal rates of three species indicate that 210Po was removed rapidly in the Jiu-longjiang estuary. The discrepancy of input/removal rates between 210Po species suggests different geochemical be-havior and a dynamic transformation between 210Po species. | 8 | Effect of Banxia Xiexin decoction on Helicobacter pylori-related peptic ulcers and its possible mechanism via the TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Banxia Xiexin decoction(BXD) on Helicobacter pylori(Hp)-related peptic ulcers(PUs) and the possible mecha-nism underlying BXD actions via the transforming growth factor-β/small mothers against decapentaplegic(TGF-β/Smad) signaling pathway.METHODS: PU patients with cold-heat complex syndrome were randomly assigned to groups that received Chinese or Western medicines with 20 patients in each group. Serum was collected after 7 d of treatment. The healthy group included 20 individuals. Gastric mucosal epithelial cell line GES-1 was cultured in vitro and randomly divided into the following seven groups: control, model, healthy,Western Medicine, prior treatment, low dosage,and high dosage. After 72 h of treatment with the corresponding serum, the m RNA and protein expression levels of TGF-β1, Smad3, and Smad7 were measured by reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blotting, respectively.RESULTS: The m RNA expression levels of TGF-β1 and Smad3 in GES-1 cells were increased after Hp introduction, and these increased levels were reduced by the BXD-containing serum. The protein levels of p-Smad3, but not TGF-β1 or Smad3, were significantly increased in Hp-treated GES-1 cells,and treatment with the BXD-containing serum markedly decreased the protein levels. | 10 | The effects of air temperature and precipitation on the net primary productivity in China during the early 21st century显示文摘Research on how terrestrial ecosystems respond to climate change can reveal the complex interactions between vegetation and climate,net primary productivity (NPP),an important vegetation parameter and ecological indicator,fluctuates within any given ecological environment or regional carbon budget.In this study, spatial interpolation was used to generate a spatial dataset, with 1-km spatial resolution,with meteorological data from 736 observation stations across China.An improved CASA model was used to simulate NPP over the period of 2001-2013 by taking into account land-cover change in every year during the same period.We propose the grid- based spatial patterns and dynamics of annual NPP,annual average temperature,and annual total precipitation based on the model.We also used the model to demonstrate the spatial correlation between NPP,temperature,and pre- cipitation in the study area with special focus on the impact of climate change in the early 21st century.Results showed that the spatial pattern of NPP over all of China is characterized by higher values in the southeast and lower values in the northwest.The spatial pattern of temperature indicates substantial latitudinal differences across the country,and the spatial pattem of precipitation shows a ribbon of decline from the southeast coast to the northwest inland.Most areas show an upward trend in NPP. | 11 | Effects of nitrogen ion implantation on Ca^(2+) concentration and membrane potential of pollen cell显示文摘The effects of low energy nitrogen ion implantation on Ca2+ concentration and membrane potential of illy (Mum davidii Duch) pollen cell have been studied. The results showed that the Ca2+ concentration was increased when pollen grain was implanted by nitrogen ion with energy 100 keV and dose 1013 ions/cm2. However, the increase of Ca2+ concentration was partly inhibited by the addition of Ca2+ channel inhibitor depending on dose. And nitrogen ion implantation caused depolarization of pollen cell membrane potential. In other words, membrane potential was increased, but the effect decreased by adding Ca2+ channel inhibitor. However, it was still significantly higher than the membrane potential of control cells. It was indicated that the depolarization of cell membrane potential opened the calcium channel on the membrane that caused the increasing of intracel-lular calcium concentration. However, its sodium storage capability is severely limited by the sluggish sodiation/desodiation reaction kinetics. Herein, NiCo_2O_4 double-shelled hollow spheres were synthesized via a microwave-assisted, fast solvothermal synthetic procedure in a mixture of isopropanol and glycerol, followed by annealing. Isopropanol played a vital role in the precipitation of nickel and cobalt,and the shrinkage of the glycerol quasi-emulsion under heat treatment was responsible for the formation of the double-shelled nanostructure. | 14 | ^(226)Ra evidence for the ecosystem shift over the past 40 years in the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre显示文摘Surface seawater was collected for ^(226)Ra measurement in the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre from July to October, 1999 and October to December, 2003. Combined with the historical data reported for this sea area, a declined trend of surface ^(226)Ra concentrations was observed since 1960s, indicating the ecosystem shift in response to global warming. On one side, the enhanced stratification of the upper water column resulting from global warming reduced the ^(226)Ra input from the depth, on the other, the temporal increase of biological production resulting from the climate-related ecosystem structure change strengthened the ^(226)Ra removal from the surface ocean. Both the physical and biological processes resulted in the decrease of surface ^(226)Ra concentrations in the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre. The temporal trend of surface ^(226)Ra concentrations was consistent with the trends of chlorophyll a, silicate, phosphate and primary production previously reported. | 16 | Sources and Accumulation Risk of Heavy Metal in Major Animal Manure显示文摘Feed and corresponding manure samples were collected from 27 scale pig farms and 7 scale chicken farms in Jiaxing City,Zhejiang Province,and their heavy metal contents were analyzed. The weighted average values of Cr,Cu,Zn,Pb and As in pig feed were 4. 6,123. 4,370. 7,0. 69 and 6. 9 mg/kg,respectively. However,referred to Safe Use Specification of Feed Additives and MOA Announcement No. 1224,the exceeding standards rates of Cr,Cu,Zn,Pb and As in pig feed were 5. 36%,62. 5%,19. 64%,3. 57% and 37. 5%,respectively. The sequences of heavy metal content in pig feed successively were piglet > growing pig > big pig > sow,but the exceeding standard rates of heavy metal in feed were big pig > sow > growing pig > piglet,and the exceeding standard rate of big pig feed was more than 95%. The exceeding standard rates of Cu,Zn and As in chicken feed were 46. 7%,11. 1% and 33. 3% respectively. Based on Organic Fertilizer( NY525-2012) and Sludge Agricultural Pollution Control Standard( GB4284-84),Cu,Zn and As in pig manure and chicken manure exceeded the standard; the exceeding standard rates of pig manure were 71. 9%,78. 9% and 42. 1%,while that of chicken manure were 12. 5%,25. 0% and 44. 4%,respectively. The exceeding standard rates of Cu and Zn in piglet manure reached 100%. There were very significant positive correlations in Cu,Zn and As between pig feed and corresponding manure,or Hg,Cu and As between chicken feed and corresponding manure,and the correlation coefficients r^2 were greater than 0. 8. | 18 | Ultrathin nanosheets of cobalt-nickel hydroxides hetero-structure via electrodeposition and precursor adjustment with excellent performance for supercapacitor显示文摘A homogeneous better-dispersed ultrathin nanosheets(ca. 5 nm) of cobalt-nickel layered double hydroxides(LDH) supported on nickel foam scaffold was synthesized using controllable electrodeposition approach for high efficiency electrode materials of new supercapacitor. The morphology and electrochemical performances of the samples can be controlled by adjusting the precursor ratio, i.e., Ni(OAc)_2/Co(NO_3)_2 molar ratio in the electrodeposition approach. With the increase of this molar ratio, the electrochemical performances give a volcano trend. When the optimized molar ratio is 0.64/0.36, the hybrid delivered a high specific capacitance of 1587.5 F g^(-1) at a current density of 0.5 A g^(-1), with good rate capability(1155 F g^(-1) was retained even at 10 A g^(-1)) and a robust recycle stability(remaining 91.5% after 1000 cycles at 5 A g^(-1)). The good performance could be attributed to the enlarged interlayer spacing, ultrathin nanosheets and synergistic effects between Co(OH)_2 and Ni(OH)_2. Furthermore, an asymmetric supercapacitor with a high energy density of 34.5 Wh kg^(-1) at 425 W kg^(-1) and excellent cycling stability of 85.4% after 5000 charge-discharge cycles at 2 A g^(-1) was fabricated.
