1Tumor immunotherapy: New aspects of natural killer cells显示文摘A group of impressive immunotherapies for cancer treatment, including immune checkpoint-blocking antibodies,gene therapy and immune cell adoptive cellular immunotherapy, have been established, providing new weapons to fight cancer. Natural killer(NK) cells are a component of the first line of defense against tumors and virus infections. Studies have shown dysfunctional NK cells in patients with cancer. Thus, restoring NK cell antitumor functionality could be a promising therapeutic strategy. NK cells that are activated and expanded ex vivo can supplement malfunctional NK cells in tumor patients. Therapeutic antibodies, chimeric antigen receptor(CAR), or bispecific proteins can all retarget NK cells precisely to tumor cells. Therapeutic antibody blockade of the immune checkpoints of NK cells has been suggested to overcome the immunosuppressive signals delivered to NK cells.Oncolytic virotherapy provokes antitumor activity of NK cells by triggering antiviral immune responses. 2Predicting physico-chemical properties of polychlorinated diphenyl ethers (PCDEs): potential persistent organic pollutants(POPs)显示文摘Polychlorinated diphenyl ethers(PCDEs) have received more and more concerns as a category of potential persistent organic pollutants(POPs). Modeling its environmental fate and exposure assessment require a number of fundamental physico-chemical properties. However, the experimental data are currently limited due to the difficulty in analysis caused by the complexity of PCDE congeners. As an alternative, the quantitative structure property relationship(QSPR) approach could be used. In this paper, twelve kinds of molecular connectivity indices(MCIs) of all 209 possible molecular structure patterns of PCDEs were calculated. Based on 106 PCDEs with three observed physico-chemical properties—vapour pressure(P 0 L), aqueous solubility(S w) and n-octanol/water(K ow ) and their MCIs data, a series of QSPR equations were established using multiple linear regression(MLR) method. As a result, three equations with best performance were selected mainly from the view of high regression coefficient(R) and low standard error(SE). All of them showed significant relationship and high accuracy. With these equations the properties of other 103 patterns of PCDEs without the reported observed values were predicted. Furthermore, three partition properties for PCDE congeners—Henry’s Law constants(H), partition coefficients between gas/water(K gw ) and gas/n-octanol(K go ) were calculated according to the internal relationship among these six properties. These observed and predicted values, in contrast with the criteria listed in the Stockholm treaty about POPs which has been signed by more than ninety countries in May 2001, illustrated that most of PCDEs congeners are potential persistent organic pollutants. 3Preparation and Electrochemical Performance of Nano-Co_3O_4 Anode Materials from Spent Li-Ion Batteries for Lithium-Ion Batteries显示文摘A hydrometallurgical process for the recovery of cobalt oxalate from spent lithium-ion batteries was used to recycle cobalt compound by using alkali leaching,reductive acid leaching and chemical deposition of cobalt oxalate.The recycled cobalt oxalate was used to synthesize nano-Co3O4 anode material by sol-gel method. The samples were characterized by thermal gravity analysis and differential thermal analysis(TGA/DTA),X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and charge/discharge measurements.The influence of molar ratio of Co2+ to citric acid and calcination temperature on the structure and electrochemical performance of nano-Co3O4 was evaluated.As the molar ratio of Co2+ to citric acid is 1:1,the face-centered cubic(fcc) Co3O4 powder shows the discharge capacity of 760.9 mA h g-1,the high coulombic efficiency of 99.7%in the first cycle at the current density of 125 mA g-1,and the excellent cycling performance with the reversible capacity of 442.3 mA h g-1after 20 cycles at the current density of 250 mA g-1.Chuanyue Hu Jun Guo Jin Wen Yangxi Peng 2013Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,3:8
4Hypoxia-mimicking 3D bioglass-nanoclay scaffolds promote endogenous bone regeneration显示文摘Large bone defect repair requires biomaterials that promote angiogenesis and osteogenesis.In present work,a nanoclay(Laponite,XLS)-functionalized 3D bioglass(BG)scaffold with hypoxia mimicking property was prepared by foam replication coupled with UV photopolymerization methods.Our data revealed that the incorporation of XLS can significantly promote the mechanical property of the scaffold and the osteogenic differentiation of human adipose mesenchymal stem cells(ADSCs)compared to the properties of the neat BG scaffold.Desferoxamine,a hypoxia mimicking agent,encourages bone regeneration via activating hypoxia-inducible factor-1 alpha(HIF-1α)-mediated angiogenesis.GelMA-DFO immobilization onto BG-XLS scaffold achieved sustained DFO release and inhibited DFO degradation.Furthermore,in vitro data demonstrated increased HIF-1αand vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)expressions on human adipose mesenchymal stem cells(ADSCs).Moreover,BG-XLS/GelMA-DFO scaffolds also significantly promoted the osteogenic differentiation of ADSCs.Most importantly,our in vivo data indicated BG-XLS/GelMA-DFO scaffolds strongly increased bone healing in a critical-sized mouse cranial bone defect model.Therefore,we developed a novel BG-XLS/GelMA-DFO scaffold which can not only induce the expression of VEGF,but also promote osteogenic differentiation of ADSCs to promote endogenous bone regeneration.Xiao Zheng Xiaorong Zhang Yingting Wang Yangxi Liu Yining Pan Yijia Li Man Ji Xueqin Zhao Shengbin Huang Qingqing Yao 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:4
5Maternal miR-202-5p is required for zebrafish primordial germ cell migration by protecting small GTPase Cdc42显示文摘In many lower animals,germ cell formation,migration,and maintenance depend on maternally provided determinants in germ plasm.In zebrafish,these processes have been extensively studied in terms of RNA-binding proteins and other coding genes.The role of small non-coding RNAs in the regulation of primordial germ cell(PGC)development remains largely unknown and poorly investigated,even though growing interests for the importance of miRNAs involved in a wide variety of biological processes.Here,we reported the role and mechanism of the germ plasm-specific miRNA miR-202-5p in PGC migration:(i)both maternal loss and knockdown of miR-202-5p impaired PGC migration indicated by the mislocalization and reduced number of PGCs;(ii)cdc42se1 was a direct target gene of miR-202-5p,and overexpression of Cdc42se1 in PGCs caused PGC migration defects similar to those observed in loss of miR-202-5p mutants;(iii)Cdc42se1 not only interacted with Cdc42 but also inhibited cdc42 transcription,and overexpression of Cdc42 could rescue PGC migration defects in Cdc42se1 overexpressed embryos.Thus,miR-202-5p regulates PGC migration by directly targeting and repressing Cdc42se1 to protect the expression of Cdc42,which interacts with actin to direct PGC migration.Yilin Jin Wei Liu Yangxi Xiang Wanwan Zhang Hong Zhang Kuntong Jia Meisheng Yi 2020Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,7:2

15Determination of hydroxyl radicals with salicylic acid in aqueous nitrate and nitrite solutions显示文摘The qualitative and quantitative analyses of reactive oxygen species are essential to determine their steady-state concentration and related reaction mechanisms in environmental aquatic systems. In this study, salicylic acid was employed as an innovative molecular probe of hydroxyl radical(OH) generated in aqueous nitrate and nitrite solutions through photochemical reactions. Kinetic studies showed that the steady-state concentrations of OH in aqueous NO- 3(10 mmol/L, pH=5) and NO- 2(10 mmol/L, pH=5) solutions under ultraviolet irradiation were at a same magnitude, 10 -15 mol/L.
