| 1 | Clinical significance of EGF and EGFR expression changes in cryptorchid boys显示文摘Aim:To explore the changes of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) expressions in cryptorchid children and their clinical significance.Methods:The level of serum EGF was measured by radioimmunoassay (RIA) and the expression of EGFR by immunohistochemistry.Results:(1)The level of serum EGF was significantly lower in cryptorchid children than in normal subjects at age group of 5-9 years (P<0.01) and 10-14 years (P<0.01),(2)The level of EGF was significantly lower in boys with impalpable testis than in those with extracanalicular and intracanalicular testes (P<0.01),(3)The serum EGF level increased significantly 6 months after orchiopexy(P<0.05),(4)The EGFR expression in testicular Leydig's cells was lower in 2-4 year-old boys than in those over 5 years(P<0.05) and (5)the EGFR expression was less positive in the impalpable group and the intracanalicular group than that of the extracanalicular group (P<0.01).Conclusion:The EGF and EGFR expressions may correlate with the age and the position of testes;orchiopexy improves the EGF and EGFR expressions in cryptorchid boys. | YangGS LuRK | 2002 | Asian Journal of Andrology2002,4,4: | 2 |
| 2 | Thermal annealing synthesis of double-shell truncated octahedral Pt-Ni alloys for oxygen reduction reaction of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells显示文摘Shape-controlled Pt-Ni alloys usually offer an exceptional electrocatalytic activity toward the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)of polymer electrolyte membrane fuel ceils(PEMFCs),whose tricks lie in welldesigned structures and surface morphologies.In this paper,a novel synthesis of truncated octahedral PtNi_(3.5) alloy catalysts that consist of homogeneous Pt-Ni alloy cores enclosed by NiO-Pt double shells through thermally annealing defective heterogeneous PtNi35 alloys is reported.By tracking the evolution of both compositions and morphologies,the outward segregation of both PtOv and NiO are first observed in Pt-Ni alloys.It is speculated that the diffusion of low-coordination atoms results in the formation of an energetically favorable truncated octahedron while the outward segregation of oxides leads to the formation of NiO-Pt double shells.It is very attractive that after gently removing the NiO outer shell,the dealloyed truncated octahedral core-shell structure demonstrates a greatly enhanced ORR activity.The asobtained truncated octahedral Pt_(2.1)Ni core-shell alloy presents a 3.4-folds mass-specific activity of that for unannealed sample,and its activity preserves 45.4%after 30000 potential cycles of accelerated degradation test(ADT).The peak power density of the dealloyed truncated octahedral Pt2jNi core-shell alloy catalyst based membrane electrolyte assembly(MEA)reaches 679.8 mW/cm^(2),increased by 138.4 mW/cm^(2) relative to that based on commercial Pt/C. | Xiashuang LUO Yangge GUO Hongru ZHOU Huan REN Shuiyun SHEN Guanghua WEI Junliang ZHANG | 2020 | Frontiers in Energy2020,14,4: | 2 |
| 3 | Cytocompatibility of High Nitrogen Nickel-Free Stainless Steel for Orthopedic Implants显示文摘Cytocompatibility of high nitrogen nickel-free stainless steel(HNS) with different nitrogen content was evaluated and compared with a conventional austenitic stainless steel 317L.The MTT assay(3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) was performed on MG63 osteoblasts to assess the cytotoxicity.The expression of selected marker typical of differentiated osteoblasts,such as alkaline phosphatase activity(AKP),was also monitored in MG63 cells cultured on the tested materials.As a result,HNS had higher cell growth than 317L;meanwhile the cytocompatibility was increased with increasing nitrogen content.Furthermore,HNS enhanced osteoblasts differentiation,as confirmed by AKP activity.Overall these facts indicated that HNS had higher cytocompatibility than 317L and the nitrogen content contributed to the higher cytocompatibility of HNS.The influence of nitrogen on surface energy further explained the cytocompatibility of HNS. | Tianchi Ma Peng Wan Yuyan Cui Guirong Zhang Jiqiang Li Jihui Liu Yibin Ren Ke Yangg Li Lu | 2012 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2012,28,7: | 2 |
