1Study and use of the probiotic Lactobacillus reuteri in pigs:a review显示文摘Probiotics are living microorganisms that provide a wide variety of health benefits to the host when ingested in adequate amounts.The bacterial strains most frequently used as probiotic agents are lactic acid bacteria,such as Lactobacillus reuteri,which is one of the few endogenous Lactobacillus species found in the gastrointestinal tract of vertebrates,including humans,rats,pigs and chickens.L reuteri is one of the most well documented probiotic species and has been widely utilized as a probiotic in humans and animals for many years.Initially,L reuteri was used in humans to reduce the incidence and the severity of diarrhea,prevent colic and necrotic enterocolitis,and maintain a functional mucosal barrier.As interest in alternatives to in-feed antibiotics has grown in recent years,some evidence has emerged that probiotics may promote growth,improve the efficiency of feed utilization,prevent diarrhea,and regulate the immune system in pigs.In this review,the characteristics of L reuteri are described,in order to update the evidence on the efficacy of using L.reuteri in pigs.Chengli Hou Xiangfang Zeng Fengjuan Yang Hong Liu Shiyan Qiao 2016Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2016,7,1:19
2Near-infrared responsive 5-fluorouracil and indocyanine green loaded MPEG-PCL nanoparticle integrated with dissolvable microneedle for skin cancer therapy显示文摘The prevalence of skin cancer is rising along with the rapid population aging in recent years.Traditional therapies,such as surgical treatment,radiotherapy,chemotherapy,photodynamic therapy,and immunotherapy,may accompany serious side effects,limiting their clinical benefits.According to the biological characteristics of skin cancer,we have already established two kinds of synergetic systems of photothermal therapy(microneedle)and chemotherapy,containing gold nanorods(GNR).Although the microneedle system exhibited great potential for skin cancer treatment,the system could be still improved further.So,we designed a near-infrared lightresponsive 5-fluorouracil(5-Fu)and indocyanine green(ICG)loaded monomethoxy-poly(ethylene glycol)-polycaprolactone(MPEG-PCL)nanoparticle(5-Fu-ICG-MPEG-PCL),and then 5-Fu-ICG-MPEG-PCL was integrated with a hyaluronic acid dissolvable microneedle system(HA MN)to get 5-Fu-ICG-MPEG-PCL loaded HA MN for treating skin cancers,including human epidermoid cancer and melanoma.In this system,hyaluronic acid,the microneedle carrier,possesses good skin penetration ability and is approved by FDA as a pharmaceutical adjuvant;5-Fu is recommended by FDA for skin cancer treatment;ICG,a photothermal agent,possesses a strong photothermal ability and is approved by FDA for its use in the human body.We hypothesized that 5-Fu-ICG-MPEG-PCL could be delivered by the dissolvable microneedle through the skin,and the release behavior of the drug in the nanoparticle could be controlled by near-infrared light for achieving a single-dose cure of skin cancer,improving the cure rate of skin cancer and providing a new idea and possibility for the clinical treatment of skin cancer.Ying Hao YuWen Chen XinLong He Fan Yang RuXia Han ChengLi Yang Wei Li ZhiYong Qian 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,3:17
3Overview of China's Antarctic research progress 1984–2016显示文摘It is more than 30 years since the first Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition(CHINARE) landed in Antarctica in 1984, representing China's initiation in polar research. This review briefly summarizes the Chinese Antarctic scientific research and output accomplished over the past 30 years. The developments and progress in Antarctic research and the enhancement of international scientific cooperation achieved through the implementation of the CHINARE program have been remarkable. Since the 1980 s, four permanent Chinese Antarctic research stations have been established successively and 33 CHINAREs have been completed. 4Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome elements of male infertility revealed by latent tree model analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To explore the features of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndromes in male infertility using computer-based analyses.METHODS: Latent class analysis was used to analyze the TCM syndrome data from 813 patients with male infertility and establish a latent tree model.RESULTS: A latent tree model with a Bayesian information criterion score of-11 263 was created.This model revealed that the characteristics of basic TCM syndromes in patients with male infertility were kidney Yang deficiency, kidney Qi deficiency,spleen Yang deficiency, liver Qi stagnation, Qi stagnation and blood stasis, and dump-heat; moreover,most patients with male infertility had complex syndromes(spleen-kidney Yang deficiency and liver Qi stagnation) rather than simple single syndromes.CONCLUSION: The hidden tree model analysis revealed the objective and quantitative complex relationships between the TCM symptoms of male infertility, and obtained the quantification and objective evidence of TCM syndromes in male infertility.Zhang Zhijie Liu Shaoming Zhang Yueyang Yang Jingzhe Kong Tao Wang Chengli Ning Peng Chen Xiaochao Li Xuesong Jia Yusen Chen Xiaojun 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,6:5
5High-Q microresonators on 4H-silicon-carbide-on-insulator platform for nonlinear photonics显示文摘The realization of high-quality(Q)resonators regardless of the underpinning material platforms has been a ceaseless pursuit,because the high-Q resonators provide an extreme environment for confining light to enable observations of many nonlinear optical phenomenon with high efficiencies.Here,photonic microresonators with a mean Q factor of 6.75×10^(6)were demonstrated on a 4H-silicon-carbide-on-insulator(4H-SiCOI)platform,as determined by a statistical analysis of tens of resonances.Using these devices,broadband frequency conversions,including second-,third-,and fourth-harmonic generations have been observed.Cascaded Raman lasing has also been demonstrated in our SiC microresonator for the first time,to the best of our knowledge.Meanwhile,by engineering the dispersion properties of the SiC microresonator,we have achieved broadband Kerr frequency combs covering from 1300 to 1700nm.Our demonstration represents a significant milestone in the development of SiC photonic integrated devices.Chengli Wang Zhiwei Fang Ailun Yi Bingcheng Yang Zhe Wang Liping Zhou Chen Shen Yifan Zhu Yuan Zhou Rui Bao Zhongxu Li Yang Chen Kai Huang Jiaxiang Zhang Ya Cheng Xin Ou 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,8:4

7FBG Arrays for Quasi-Distributed Sensing: A Review显示文摘Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) array is a powerful technique for quasi-distributed sensing along the entire length of sensing fiber with fast response and high precision. It has been widely used for temperature, strain, and vibration monitoring. In this review work, an overview on the recent advances of FBG arrays is conducted. Firstly, the fabrication methods of FBG array are reviewed, which include femtosecond laser system and online writing technique. Then, the demodulation techniques for FBG arrays are presented and discussed. Distributed static sensing can be performed by demodulating wavelength shift of each FBG, while phase demodulation techniques with low noise are employed for dynamic vibration sensing. Simultaneous distributed dynamic and static sensing system based on FBG array is also outlined. Finally, possible future directions are discussed and concluded. 10A Flexible Three Clouds 5G Mobile Network Architecture Based on NFV & SDN显示文摘Along with the completion of the development of 4G technologies, the global mobile community starts the study of the next generation technologies, i.e. 5G technologies. This paper proposes a new flexible architecture for 5G mobile networks based on Network Function Virtualization(NFV) and Software Defined Network(SDN) technologies, which is adaptable to use cases and scenarios. Then implementation reference architecture and some typical 5G network deployment cases are discussed. 11Preparation and surface modification of magnetic poly(methyl methacrylate) microspheres显示文摘A novel method for preparation of magnetic polymer microspheres by spraying suspension polymerization (SSP) was developed. Relatively uniform magnetic poly(methyl methacrylate) microspheres were prepared by the spraying suspension polymerization (SSP) using methyl methacrylate (MMA) as monomer, divinylbenzene (DVB) as cross-linking agent, benzoyl peroxide (BPO) as initiator and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as stabilizer in the presence of hydrophobic Fe3O4 magnetic fluid. The microspheres prepared were modified by surface chemical reaction. The magnetic properties and morphology of the microspheres were examined by SEM and VSM respectively. The active functional groups of microspheres were examined by infrared spectra. 15The construction of a lymphoma cell-based, DC-targeted vaccine, and its application in lymphoma prevention and cure显示文摘In recent years,Non-Hodgkin lymphoma(NHL)has been one of the most fast-growing malignant tumor diseases.NHL poses severe damages to physical health and a heavy burden to patients.Traditional therapies(chemotherapy or radiotherapy)bring some benefit to patients,but have severe adverse effects and do not prevent relapse.The relevance of emerging immunotherapy options(immune-checkpoint blockers or adoptive cellular methods)for NHL remains uncertain,and more intensive evaluations are needed.In this work,inspired by the idea of vaccination to promote an immune response to destroy tumors,we used a biomaterial-based strategy to improve a tumor cell-based vaccine and constructed a novel vaccine named Man-EG7/CH@CpG with antitumor properties.In this vaccine,natural tumor cells are used as a vector to load CpG-ODN,and following lethal irradiation,the formulations were decorated with mannose.The study of the characterization of the doubleimproved vaccine evidenced the enhanced ability of DCs targeting and improved immunocompetence,which displayed an antitumor function.In the lymphoma prevention model,the Man-EG7/CH@CpG vaccine restrained tumor formation with high efficiency.Furthermore,unlike the non-improved vaccine,the double-improved vaccine elicited an enhanced antitumor effect in the lymphoma treatment model.Next,to improve the moderate therapeutic effect of the mono-treatment method,we incorporated a chemotherapeutic drug(doxorubicin,DOX)into the process of vaccination and devised a combination regimen.Fortunately,a tumor inhibition rate of~85%was achieved via the combination therapy,which could not be achieved by mono-chemotherapy or mono-immunotherapy.In summary,the strategy presented here may provide a novel direction in the establishment of a tumor vaccine and is the basis for a prioritization scheme of immuno-chemotherapy in enhancing the therapeutic effect on NHL.Tianlin Zhou Jinrong Penga Ying Hao Kun Shi Kai Zhou Yun Yang Chengli Yang Xinlong He Xinmian Chen Zhiyong Qian 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,3:1

20Advances in nanotechnology-based delivery systems for EGFR tyrosine kinases inhibitors in cancer therapy显示文摘Oral tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs) against epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) family have been introduced into the clinic to treat human malignancies for decades. Despite superior properties of EGFR-TKIs as small molecule targeted drugs, their applications are still restricted due to their low solubility, capricious oral bioavailability, large requirement of daily dose, high binding tendency to plasma albumin and initial/acquired drug resistance. Nanotechnology is a promising tool to improve efficacy of these drugs. Through non-oral routes. Various nanotechnology-based delivery approaches have been developed for providing efficient delivery of EGFR-TKIs with a better pharmacokinetic profile and tissue-targeting ability.
