| 2 | Visual Fixation Assessment in Patients with Disorders of Consciousness Based on Brain-Computer Interface显示文摘Visual fixation is an item in the visual function subscale of the Coma Recovery Scale-Revised(CRS-R).Sometimes clinicians using the behavioral scales find it difficult to detect because of the motor impairment in patients with disorders of consciousness(DOCs). Braincomputer interface(BCI) can be used to improve clinical assessment because it directly detects the brain response to an external stimulus in the absence of behavioral expression. In this study, we designed a BCI system to assist the visual fixation assessment of DOC patients. The results from 15 patients indicated that three showed visual fixation in both CRS-R and BCI assessments and one did not show such behavior in the CRS-R assessment but achieved significant online accuracy in the BCI assessment. The results revealed that electroencephalography-based BCI can detect the brain response for visual fixation. | 3 | Effect of externally applied Jidesheng anti-venom on skin and soft-tissue necrosis after Chinese cobra bite: a retrospective study显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effects of Jidesheng anti-venom used externally for skin and soft-tissue necrosis from Chinese cobra bite.METHODS: A retrospective review was performed according to the clinical data recorded from January 2002 to December 2012. A total of 126 patients(116 females and 10 males) with skin and soft-tissue necrosis due to Chinese cobra bite were divided into two groups. The control group was treated externally with 40% glyceride magnesium sulfate(n=52), and the treatment group was given Jidesheng anti-venom externally(n=74). The data collected included maximum local necrotic area of skin and soft tissues, de-tumescence time, healing time,and skin-grafting rate.RESULTS: There were no significant differences in gender, age, and disease condition between the control and treatment groups(P>0.05). No statistically significant difference was found in de-tumescence time between the two groups(P>0.05). The maximum local necrotic area of skin and soft tissues was(19.9 ± 7.3) cm2in the treatment group,while it was(23.3±6.4) cm2in the control group.The healing time of the treatment group was shorter than that of the control group [(32.1 ± 3.7) vs(34.4±4.5) days)] The skin-grafting rate in the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(10.81% vs 25.00%). | 4 | Stable Lithium-Carbon Composite Enabled by Dual-Salt Additives显示文摘Lithium metal is regarded as the ultimate negative electrode material for secondary batteries due to its high energy density.However,it suffers from poor cycling stability because of its high reactivity with liquid electrolytes.Therefore,continuous efforts have been put into improving the cycling Coulombic efficiency(CE)to extend the lifespan of the lithium metal negative electrode.Herein,we report that using dual-salt additives of LiPF_(6) and LiNO_(3) in an ether solvent-based electrolyte can significantly improve the cycling stability and rate capability of a Li-carbon(Li-CNT)composite.As a result,an average cycling CE as high as 99.30% was obtained for the Li-CNT at a current density of 2.5 mA cm^(-2) and an negative electrode to positive electrode capacity(N/P)ratio of 2.The cycling stability and rate capability enhancement of the Li-CNT negative electrode could be attributed to the formation of a better solid electrolyte interphase layer that contains both inorganic components and organic polyether.The former component mainly originates from the decomposition of the LiNO_(3) additive,while the latter comes from the LiPF_(6)-induced ring-opening polymerization of the ether solvent.This novel surface chemistry significantly improves the CE of Li negative electrode,revealing its importance for the practical application of lithium metal batteries. | Lei Zheng Feng Guo Tuo Kang Yingzhu Fan Wei Gu Yayun Mao Ya Liu Rong Huang Zhiyun Li Yanbin Shen Wei Lu Liwei Chen | 2021 | Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,7: | 3 |

| 7 | Enhancing the stability of astaxanthin by encapsulation in poly (1-lactic acid) microspheres using a supercritical anti-solvent process显示文摘To improve the physicochemical properties of astaxanthin, it was encapsulated in poly (1-lactic acid)(PLLA) using a supercritical anti-solvent (SAS) process with dichloromethane/acetone mixture as the solvent, and supercritical CO2 as the anti-solvent. The effects of altering five SAS operating cond让ions, solvent ratio, temperature, pressure, concentration of carrier, and flow rate, on the microstructure of particles were investigated using an orthogonal experimental design. Under the optimal conditions, astaxanthin/PLLA particles were produced with an encapsulation efficiency of 91.5% and a mean particle size of 954.6 nm. SEM images showed that most astaxanthin/PLLA particles were uniform microspheres. FT-IR spectra showed that the chemical structure of astaxanthin was unchanged by the SAS process. The results of chromatic difference, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric, and differential scanning calorimetry analyses showed that astaxanthin had been encapsulated in the PLLA matrix in an amorphous state. Overall, astaxanthin/PLLA microspheres greatly enhanced the stability of astaxanthin during storage, and the levels of residual solvents were far lower than the ICH lim让s. | 10 | Characteristics of Element Migration in the Process of Wall-Rock Alteration in the Shibangou Gold Deposit,Western Henan显示文摘The Shibangou gold deposit in western Henan is associated with irregular quartz veinlets occurring in altered shear zones dissecting a dioritic intrusion. The altered shear zones are characterized by silicification, pyriti-zation, sericitization, chloritization and K-feldspar alteration. Zoning of altered rocks adjacent to the Au-bearing quartz veins is obviously exhibited. Fine-grained sulphides and quartz veinlets of different ages and small-scale fissures are widely distributed in the central part of the altered zones. Major mineralization types in this gold deposit are Au-bearing quartz vehlets and altered rocks in the shear zones. Samples were collected from drilling cores according to the alteration zoning and mineralization type and all samples were analyzed for major and trace elements. | 12 | Effectiveness of Liu-zi-jue exercise on coronavirus disease 2019 in the patients: a randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to examine the effect of Liu-zi-jue exercise on the respiratory symptoms, quality of life, and mental health of patients with mild coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19). METHODS: A single-center randomized controlled trial was conducted with 104 patients with mild COVID-19. The patients were randomly assigned to the Liu-zi-jue plus conventional therapy group and conventional therapy group. The outcome measures included Modified Borg Dyspnea Scale(MBDS) score, Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9) score, Fatigue Scale-14(FS-14), respiratory symptoms, and vital signs. Data were collected on the first and sixth days of hospitalization and on the discharge day. RESULTS: Repeated-measures ANOVA revealed that the whole scales all showed a downward trend in the two groups(all P < 0.05). The results of single-group effect suggested that the whole scale score in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group at the sixth day of hospitalization. Compared with the control group, only the MBDS, expectoration, and FS-14 scores showed significantly lower scores at the discharge day(P < 0.001, P = 0.011, P = 0.002). Comparison within the group showed that all the variables were significantly different at the three time points with a decreasing trend(P < 0.05), except for the PHQ-9 and expectoration scores(P = 0.331, 0.052). All patients’ vital signs remained within a stable normal range throughout the hospital stay. | 13 | The combined effects of lysozyme and ascorbic acid on microstructure and properties of zein-based films显示文摘Edible zein-based films containing lysozyme(LY) and ascorbic acid(AA) were developed in the presence of polyethylene glycol 400(PEG 400), the combined effects of LY and AA on the microstructure, mechanical properties and release properties of developed zein films were investigated in detail. The results of microstructure characterization indicated that zein-based films became compact and smooth, and LY aggregates were well distributed in the zein matrix because of the simultaneous addition of LY and AA. The results of mechanical tests showed that because of the synergistic effects of LY and AA on zein film, elongation at break of zein-based film could be up to 138%, which was 34.5 times higher than that of zein control film. LY release tests showed that when the concentration of AA was less than 3.1 mg·cm^(-2), the release rate of LY significantly decreased by 33.7%, and the total release increased by 80.6%. While the release profiles of AA showed that the release rate and total release of AA from the films containing LY increased by approximately 68.9% and 61.7% than the films without LY. Whilst, the corresponding Hall resistance measurements consistently showed a sign reversal.
