| 1 | No expenditure difference among patients with liver cancer at stageⅠ-ⅣV:Findings from a multicenter cross-sectional study in China显示文摘Objective:The number of liver cancer patients in China accounts for more than half of the world.However,China currently lacks national,multicenter economic burden data,and meanwhile,measuring the differences among different subgroups will be informative to formulate corresponding policies in liver cancer control.Thus,the aim of the study was to measure the economic burden of liver cancer by various subgroups.Methods:A hospital-based,multicenter and cross-sectional survey was conducted during 2012・2014,covering 39 hospitals and 21 project sites in 13 provinces across China.The questionnaire covers clinical information,sociology,expenditure,and related variables.All expenditure data were reported in Chinese Yuan(CNY)using 2014 values.Results:A total of 2,223 liver cancer patients were enrolled,of whom 59.61%were late-stage cases(III-IV),and 53.8%were hepatocellular carcinoma.The average total expenditure per liver cancer patient was estimated as 53,220 CNY,including 48,612 CNY of medical expenditures(91.3%)and 4,608 CNY of non-medical expenditures(8.7%).The average total expenditures in stage I,H,m and stage IV were 52,817 CNY,50,877 CNY,50,678 CNY and 54,089 CNY(P>0.05),respectively.Non-medical expenditures including additional meals,additional nutrition care,transportation,accommodation and hired informal nursing were 1,453 CNY,839 CNY,946 CNY,679 CNY and 200 CNY,respectively.The one-year out-of-pocket expenditure of a newly diagnosed patient was 24,953 CNY,and 77.2%of the patients suffered an unmanageable financial burden.Multivariate analysis showed that overall expenditure differed in almost all subgroups(P<0.05),except for sex,clinical stage,and pathologic type.Conclusions:There was no difference in treatment expenditure for liver cancer patients at different clinical stages,which suggests that maintaining efforts on treatment efficacy improvement is important but not enough.To fiirtherly reduce the overall economic burden from liver cancer,more effort should be given to primary and secondary prevention strategies. | Haike Lei Lin Lei Jufang Shi Yongzhong Wu Ling Liang Huiyao Huang Mei He Fangzhou Bai Maomao Cao Hui Qiu Yuting Wang Chengcheng Liu Jia Du Hong Wang Yan Zhang Mengdi Cao Ji Peng Ni Li Chunfeng Qu Min Dai Wanqing Chen Jie He | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,4: | 7 |

| 4 | Inflammation-induced inhibition of chaperone-mediated autophagy maintains the immunosuppressive function of murine mesenchymal stromal cells显示文摘Macroautophagy has been implicated in modulating the therapeutic function of mesenchymal stromal cells(MSCs).However,the biological function of chaperone-mediated autophagy(CMA)in MSCs remains elusive.Here,we found that CMA was inhibited in MSCs in response to the proinflammatory cytokines interferon-γ(IFN-γ)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α).In addition,suppression of CMA by knocking down the CMA-related lysosomal receptor lysosomal-associated membrane protein 2(LAMP-2A)in MSCs significantly enhanced the immunosuppressive effect of MSCs on T cell proliferation,and as expected,LAMP-2A overexpression in MSCs exerted the opposite effect on T cell proliferation.This effect of CMA on the immunosuppressive function of MSCs was attributed to its negative regulation of the expression of chemokine C-X-C motif ligand 10(CXCL10),which recruits inflammatory cells,especially T cells,to MSCs,and inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS),which leads to the subsequent inhibition of T cell proliferation via nitric oxide(NO).Mechanistically,CMA inhibition dramatically promoted IFN-γplus TNF-α-induced activation of NF-κB and STAT1,leading to the enhanced expression of CXCL10 and iNOS in MSCs.Furthermore,we found that IFN-γplus TNF-α-induced AKT activation contributed to CMA inhibition in MSCs.More interestingly,CMA-deficient MSCs exhibited improved therapeutic efficacy in inflammatory liver injury.Taken together,our findings established CMA inhibition as a critical contributor to the immunosuppressive function of MSCs induced by inflammatory cytokines nd highlighted a previously unknown function of CMA. | Jie Zhang Jiefang Huang Yuting Gu Mingxing Xue Fengtao Qian Bei Wang Wanlin Yang Hongshuang Yu Qiwei Wang Xin Guo Xinyuan Ding Jina Wang Min Jin Yanyun Zhang | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,6: | 3 |

| 6 | Earthquake detection in the Jiangsu region, China using graphics-processing-unit-based Match & Locate and rapid earthquake association and location显示文摘Earthquake detection and location are essential in earthquake studies,which generally consists of two main classes:waveform-based and pick-based methods.To evaluate the ability of two different methods,a graphicsprocessing-unit-based Match&Locate(GPU-M&L)method and a rapid earthquake association and location(REAL)method are applied to continuous seismic data recorded by 24 digital seismic stations from Jiangsu Seismic Network during 2013 for comparison.GPU-M&L is one of waveform-based methods by waveform cross-correlations while REAL is one of pick-based method to associate arrivals of different seismic phases and locate events through counting the number of P and S picks and travel time residuals.Twenty-six templates are selected from the Jiangsu Seismic Network local catalog by using the GPU-M&L.The number of newly detected and located events is about 2.8 times more than those listed in the local catalog.We both utilize a deep-neural-network-based arrival-time picking method called PhaseNet and a shortterm/long-term average(STA/LTA)trigger algorithm for seismic phase detection and picking by applying the REAL.We then refine seismic locations using a least-squares location method(VELEST)and a high-precision relative location method(hypoDD).By applying STA/LTA and PhaseNet,1006 and 1893 events are associated and located,respectively.The newly detected events are mainly clustered and show steeply dipping fault planes.By analyzing the performance of these methods based on long-term continuous seismic data,the detected catalogs by the GPU-M&L and REAL show that the magnitudes of completeness are 1.4 and 0.8,respectively,which are smaller than 2.6 given by the local catalog.Although REAL provides improvement compared with GPU-M&L,REAL is highly dependent on phase detection and picking which is strongly affected by signal-noise ratio(SNR).Stations at southeast of the study region with low SNR may lead to few detections in the same area. | Yafen Huang Shengzhong Zhang Yuejun Lv Yanzhen Li Yuting Zhang Min Liu | 2020 | Earthquake Science2020,33,1: | 2 |

| 8 | Near-surface structure from ambient-noise tomography and horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio beneath the Nankou-Sunhe fault显示文摘Active faults pose a great threat to urban security.As the largest NW-trend active fault in Beijing area,the Nankou-Sunhe fault plays an important role in earthquake disaster and city construction.In this study,we collect continuous ambient noise data recorded by 43 temporary short-period seismograph between September 21th to October 12th 2019 to investigate the near-surface structure beneath the Nankou-Sunhe fault by using ambient noise tomography(ANT)and horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio(HVSR)method.From ambient noise processing,fundamental-mode Rayleigh wave signals are clearly observed in the frequency band of 0.4-2.5 Hz.Then direct surface-wave inversion algorithm is applied to calculate the 3D shear-wave velocity model.Our results show that there is a sharp velocity contrast across the Nankou-Sunhe fault,with low velocities down to about 2 km on the hanging wall and high velocity on the footwall of the fault.According to the geological investigation,the low velocities are related to thicker sediments and Jurassic volcanic rock below which are the cap rock of the hydrothermal system.From the HVSR analysis,the HVSR curves of the sites near the fault shows double-peak,one less than 1 Hz and the other centered 7 Hz.After converting frequency to depth by the empirical equation,the results show that the thickness of sediments is thinned from southwest to northeast,which generally agrees well to field survey.Our results provide high-resolution near-surface structure for future study on disaster risk reduction and urban planning. | Yuting Zhang Hongyi Li Yanzhen Li Zhijie Wei Zeyu Ma Huiying Ge Tongli Wang Yafen Huang Min Liu | 2020 | Earthquake Science2020,33,5: | 0 |

| 10 | The SMAD2/miR-4256/HDAC5/p16^(INK4a) signaling axis contributes to gastric cancer progression显示文摘The dysregulation of exosomal microRNAs(miRNAs)plays a crucial role in the development and progression of cancer.This study investigated the role of a newly identified serum exosomal miRNA miR-4256 in gastric cancer(GC)and the underlying mechanisms.The differentially expressed miRNAs were firstly identified in serum exosomes of GC patients and healthy individuals using next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics.Next,the expression of serum exosomal miR-4256 was analyzed in GC cells and GC tissues,and the role of miR-4256 in GC was investigated by in vitro and in vivo experiments.Then,the effect of miR-4256 on its downstream target genes HDAC5/p16^(INK4a) was studied in GC cells,and the underlying mechanisms were evaluated using dual luciferase reporter assay and Chromatin Immunoprecipitation(ChIP).Additionally,the role of the miR-4256/HDAC5/p16^(INK4a) axis in GC was studied using in vitro and in vivo experiments.Finally,the upstream regulators SMAD2/p300 that regulate miR-4256 expression and their role in GC were explored using in vitro experiments.miR-4256 was the most significantly upregulated miRNA and was overexpressed in GC cell lines and GC tissues;in vitro and in vivo results showed that miR-4256 promoted GC growth and progression.Mechanistically,miR-4256 enhanced HDAC5 expression by targeting the promoter of the HDAC5 gene in GC cells,and then restrained the expression of p16^(INK4a) through the epigenetic modulation of HDAC5 at the p16INK4a promoter.Furthermore,miR-4256 overexpression was positively regulated by the SMAD2/p300 complex in GC cells.Our data indicate that miR-4256 functions as an oncogene in GC via the SMAD2/miR-4256/HDAC5/p16^(INK4a) axis,which participates in GC progression and provides novel therapeutic and prognostic biomarkers for GC. | MIN WANG HAILIANG ZHAO WEIWEI CHEN CAIQUN BIE JINYING YANG WENRUI CAI CHUTIAN WU YANFANG CHEN SHUFEN FENG YING SHI YUTING LI HUIJUN TANG LIXIAN ZHONG LILIANGZI GUO SISI CHEN LINJING LONG SHAOHUI TANG | 2023 | Oncology Research2023,31,4: | 0 |

| 12 | Slow-light-enhanced on-chip 1D and 2D photonic crystal waveguide gas sensing in near-IR with an ultrahigh interaction factor显示文摘Nanophotonic waveguides hold great promise to achieve chip-scale gas sensors. However, their performance is limited by a short light path and small light–analyte overlap. To address this challenge, silicon-based, slow-lightenhanced gas-sensing techniques offer a promising approach. In this study, we experimentally investigated the slow light characteristics and gas-sensing performance of 1D and 2D photonic crystal waveguides(PCWs) in the near-IR(NIR) region. The proposed 2D PCW exhibited a high group index of up to 114, albeit with a high propagation loss. The limit of detection(LoD) for acetylene(C_(2)H_(2)) was 277 parts per million(ppm) for a1 mm waveguide length and an averaging time of 0.4 s. The 1D PCW shows greater application potential compared to the 2D PCW waveguide, with an interaction factor reaching up to 288%, a comparably low propagation loss of 10 dB/cm, and an LoD of 706 ppm at 0.4 s. | 14 | Identification and characterization of related substances in EVT-401 by hyphenated LC–MS techniques显示文摘A sensitive and selective method was developed for the separation and characterization of related substances(RSs) in EVT-401 by hyphenated LC–MS techniques. Complete separation of the RSs was achieved with an Inertsil ODS-SP column(250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm) by linear gradient elution using a mobile phase consisting of 0.2% formic acid solution, methanol and acetonitrile. EVT-401 was found to be susceptible to acid, alkaline and oxidative stresses, while relatively stable under photolytic and thermal dry stress conditions. Fourteen RSs including six process-related substances and eight degradation products were detected and identified in EVT-401 with positive ESI high-resolution TOF-MS analysis of their parent ions and the corresponding product mass spectra elucidation, and some of them were further verified by chemical synthesis and NMR spectroscopy. | 15 | Strategies for Improving Public Transportation Accessibility in Beijing's Urban Regeneration from an Inclusive Perspective: Inspirations from Paris's Experience显示文摘As China’s urbanization has transformed from extensive development to 'refined operation,' urban regeneration is more significant. This paper analyzes changes in research perspectives of urban regeneration in recent years at home and abroad and the innovative concept of inclusive development proposed in the context of globalization, finding that the connotation of urban regeneration in European countries has been gradually enriched in order to promote social integration. Based on this, the paper examines how Paris, the first European city, combined inclusive development and urban regeneration and addressed social integration and equity in urban regeneration by taking accessibility as a key point in solving the most fundamental transportation problems. | 18 | miRNA-195:The New Target of Inhibiting the Proliferation,Migration and Invasion of Gastric Cancer Cells via Propofol显示文摘Objective:To explore the effect of propofol(Prof)on the proliferation,migration and invasion of human gastric cancer cell MGC-803 and its molecular mechanism.Methods:The MTT method was used to study the effects of Prof with different doses and durations on the viability of MGC-803 cells.Hoechst 33258 staining and electron microscopy were used to detect the effects of Prof on MGC-803 cell apoptosis.Transwell experiments were used to detect the effects of Prof on the migration and invasion of MGC-803 cells.RT-PCR detects the effect of Prof on the expression of miR-195 in MGC-803 cells,and Western Blot detects the effect of Prof on the protein expression of JAK/STAT signaling pathway.Results:Compared with 0μg/ml Prof,5μg/ml,10μg/ml and 20μg/ml Prof treatment with 24h,48h and 72h can significantly reduce cell viability(P<0.05).Compared with the Control group,the percentage of Hoechst 33258 staining positive cells in the Prof group and the apoptosis rate under the electron microscope were significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the Control group,the cell migration rate and invasion rate of the Prof group were significantly reduced(P<0.05).Compared with the Control group,the expression of miRNA-195 in the Prof group cells was increased significantly(P<0.05).Compared with the Control group,the activity of p-Jak1 and p-STAT3 proteins in the Prof group were significantly reduced(P<0.05).Conclusion:Prof can reduce the cell viability,migration and invasion of gastric cancer cell MGC-803,and promote its apoptosis.Its mechanism may be related to the promotion of miR-195 expression and inhibition of JAK/STAT signal pathway activity. | Yuming Zhang Zhijun Mao Fei Xue Yu Zhang Yuting Min Jun Wang | 2021 | Proceedings of Anticancer Research2021,5,2: | 0 |
