1Data-aided synchronization algorithm dispensing with searching procedures for UWB communications显示文摘Rapid and accurate synchronization constitutes a major challenge in deploying Ultra-Wideband impulse radio (UWB-IR) for indoor wireless communications.This paper develops a data-aided (DA) synchro-nization algorithm dispensing with searching procedures for UWB-IR communications.By adopting a stream of alternating orthogonal pulses,frame-level synchronization can be achieved without channel information.With-out utilizing any searching procedure,the timing offset estimator is obtained in a closed form.Because exhaustive search can be avoided,both computational complexity and synchronization time are reduced.Simulations and comparisons are provided to illustrate the advantages of our design over the alternatives.REN ZhiYuan JIANG Ting ZHONG Yi ZHAO ChengLin 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,4:3
2Fabrication and characteristics of excellent current spreading GaN-based LED by using transparent electrode-insulator-semiconductor structure显示文摘GaN-based vertical light-emitting-diodes(V-LEDs) with an improved current injection pattern were fabricated and a novel current injection pattern of LEDs which consists of electrode-insulator-semiconductor(EIS)structure was proposed.The EIS structure was achieved by an insulator layer(20-nm Ta_2O_5) deposited between the p-GaN and the ITO layer.This kind of EIS structure works through a defect-assisted tunneling mechanism to realize current injection and obtains a uniform current distribution on the chip surface,thus greatly improving the current spreading ability of LEDs.The appearance of this novel current injection pattern of V-LEDs will subvert the impression of the conventional LEDs structure,including simplifying the chip manufacture technology and reducing the chip cost.Under a current density of 2,5,10,and 25 A/cm2,the luminous uniformity was better than conventional structure LEDs.The standard deviation of power density distribution in light distribution was 0.028,which was much smaller than that of conventional structure LEDs and illustrated a huge advantage on the current spreading ability of EIS-LEDs.Chenglin Qi Yang Huang Teng Zhan Qinjin Wang Xiaoyan Yi Zhiqiang Liu 2017Journal of Semiconductors2017,38,8:2
3The effect of enzymes on the in vitro degradation behavior of Mg alloy wires in simulated gastric fluid and intestinal fluid显示文摘With an upsurge of biodegradable metal implants,the research and application of Mg alloys in the gastrointestinal environment of the digestive tract have been of great interest.Digestive enzymes,mainly pepsin in the stomach and pancreatin in the small intestine,are widespread in the gastrointestinal tract,but their effect on the degradation of Mg alloys has not been well understood.In this study,we investigated the impacts of pepsin and pancreatin on the degradation of Mg-2Zn alloy wires.The results showed that the pepsin and pancreatin had completely different even the opposite effects on the degradation of Mg,although they both affected the degradation product layer.The degradation rate of Mg wire declined with the addition of pepsin in simulated gastric fluid(SGF)but rose with the addition of pancreatin in simulated intestinal fluid(SIF).The opposite trends in degradation rate also resulted in completely different degradation morphologies in wires surface,where the pitting corrosion in SGF was inhibited because of the physical barrier effect of pepsin adsorption.In contrast,the adsorption of pancreatin affected the integrity of magnesium hydrogen phosphate film,causing a relatively uneven degraded surface.These results may help us to understand the role of different digestive enzymes in the degradation of magnesium and facilitate the development and clinical application of magnesium alloy implanted devices for the digestive tract.Yue Zhang Jian Cao Xianli Wang Huan Liu Yi Shao Chenglin Chu Feng Xue Jing Bai 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,1:2

15Target the neglected VOCs emission from iron and steel industry in China for air quality improvement显示文摘Recent years have witnessed significant improvement in China’s air quality.Strict environmental protection measures have led to significant decreases in sulfur dioxide(SO2),nitrogen oxides(NOx),and particulate matter(PM)emissions since 2013.But there is no denying that the air quality in 135 cities is inferior to reaching the Ambient Air Quality Standards(GB 3095–2012)in 2020.In terms of temporal,geographic,and historical aspects,we have analyzed the potential connections between China’s air quality and the iron and steel industry.The non-target volatile organic compounds(VOCs)emissions from iron and steel industry,especially from the iron ore sinter process,may be an underappreciated index imposing a negative effect on the surrounding areas of China.Therefore,we appeal the authorities to pay more attention on VOCs emission from the iron and steel industry and establish new environmental standards.And different iron steel flue gas pollutants will be eliminated concurrently with the promotion and application of new technology.Chenglin Cai Juexiu Li Yi He Jinping Jia 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,8:1

19Li^(+)-ion bound crown ether functionalization enables dual promotion of dynamics and thermodynamics for ambient ammonia synthesis显示文摘Electrosynthesis of ammonia from the reduction of nitrogen is still confronted with the limited supply of gas reactant in dynamics as well as high activation barrier in thermodynamics.Unfortunately,despite tremendous efforts devoted to electrocatalysts themselves,they still fail to tackle the above two challenges simultaneously.Herein,we employ a heterogeneous catalyst adlayer-composed of crown ethers associated with Li^(+)ions-to achieve the dual promotion of dynamics and thermodynamics for ambient ammonia synthesis.Dynamically,the bound Li^(+)ions interact with the strong quadrupole moment of nitrogen,and trigger considerable reactant flux toward the catalyst.Thermodynamically,Li^(+)associated with the oxygen of crown ether achieves a higher density of states at the Fermi level for the catalyst,enabling effortless electron transfer from the catalysts to nitrogen and thus greatly reducing the activation barrier.As expected,the proof-of-concept system achieves an ammonia yield rate of 168.5μg h^(-1)mg^(-1)and a Faradaic efficiency of 75.3%at-0.3 V vs.RHE.This system-level approach opens up pathways for tackling the two key challenges that have limited the field of ammonia synthesis.Qiyang Cheng Sisi Liu Mengfan Wang Lifang Zhang Yanzheng He Jiajie Ni Jingru Zhang Chengwei Deng Yi Sun Tao Qian Chenglin Yan 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,10:0
20A biodegradable magnesium surgical staple for colonic anastomosis: In vitro and in vivo evaluation显示文摘Staplers have been widely used in the clinical treatment of gastrointestinal reconstruction.However,the current titanium(Ti)staple will remain in the human body permanently,resulting in some adverse effects.In this study,we developed a type of biodegradable staple for colonic anastomosis using 0.3 mm diameter magnesium(Mg)alloy wires.The wire surface was modified by micro-arc oxidation treatment(MAO)and then coated with poly-L-lactic acid(PLLA)to achieve a moderate degradation rate matching the tissue healing process.The results of tensile tests on isolated porcine colon tissue anastomosed by Mg and Ti staples showed that the anastomotic property of Mg staples was almost equal to that of Ti staples.The in vitro degradation tests indicated the dual-layer coating effectively enhanced the corrosion resistance and maintained the tensile force of the coated staple stable after 14-day immersion in the simulated colonic fluid(SCF).Furthermore,24 beagle dogs were employed to conduct a comparison experiment using Mg-based and clinical Ti staples for 90-day implantation by ent-to-side anastomosis of the colon.The integrated structure of Mg-based staples was observed after 7 days and completely degraded after 90 days.All animals did not have anastomotic leakage and stenosis,and 12 dogs with Mg-based staples fully recovered after 90 days without differences in visceral ion levels and other side effects.The favorable performance makes this Mg-based anastomotic staple an ideal candidate for colon reconstruction.Yue Zhang Jian Cao Mengmeng Lu Yi Shao Kewei Jiang Xiaodong Yang Xiaoyu Xiong Shan Wang Chenglin Chu Feng Xue Yingjiang Ye Jing Bai 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,4:0
