| 8 | Quantification and timing of porosity evolution in tight sand gas reservoirs:an example from the Middle Jurassic Shaximiao Formation,western Sichuan,China显示文摘The diagenesis and porosity evolution of the Middle Jurassic Shaximiao sandstones were analyzed based on petrographic observations.X-ray diffractometry.scanning electron microscopy observations,carbon and oxygen stable isotope geochemistry,fluid inclusion microthermometry,and thermal and burial history modeling results.The point count data show that secondary pores(av.5.5%) are more abundant than primary pores(av.3.7%) and are thus the dominant pore type in the Shaximiao sandstones.Analysis of porosity evolution indicates that alteration of sandstones mainly occurred during two paragenetic stages.Mechanical compaction and cementation by early chlorite,calcite,and quartz typically decrease the depositional porosity(40.9%) by an average of37.2%,leaving porosity of 3.7%after stage Ⅰ(<85 ℃,175-145 Ma).The original intergranular porosity loss due to compaction is calculated to be 29.3%,suggesting that mechanical compaction is the most significant diagenetic process in primary porosity destruction.Stage Ⅱ can be further divided into two sub-stages(Stage Ⅱ_a and StageⅡ_b).Stage Ⅱ_a(85-120 ℃,145-125 Ma) is characterized by late dissolution,which enhanced porosity by 8.8%,and the porosity increased from 3.7%to 12.5%.During stageⅡ_b(>120 ℃,125-0 Ma),the precipitation of late chlorite,calcite,quartz,and kaolinite destroyed 3.3%porosity,leaving porosity of 9.2%in the rock today. | Zheng-Xiang Lü Su-Juan Ye Xiang Yang Rong Li Yuan-Hua Qing | 2015 | Petroleum Science2015,12,2: | 13 |
| 9 | Ecological pressures on grassland ecosystems and their conservation strategies in Northern China显示文摘In this study,we identified ecological pressures on grassland ecosystems and adaptive countermeasures in Northern China.Our research revealed that the main sources of these pressures included population growth,economic development,resources exploitation,and global climate change,with human-related activities being overriding factors.Overgrazing was an important reason for grassland imbalance,causing soil erosion and desertification,especially during the sensitive spring greening phase.In steppe zones,commercial coal mining was destructive to the ecological environment.Regarding long-term strategies,we recommend that policy-makers devote more consideration to a new conceptual approach for transforming grasslands through shifting the focus from die grassland's traditional production functions to meir ecological functions.Applying this concept,adaptive countermeasures should be developed to reduce human impacts based on the environmental capacities of grasslands.Moreover,we recommend the development of environment-friendly industries and reduction of pressures from human activities as effective measures for maintaining the balance between sustainable economic development and grassland conservation.Lastly,we suggest that restoration of degraded grasslands should conform to the principle of natural vegetation to further improve the ecological adaptability of plants and ecosystem stability.This study is expected to provide scientific support for policy-makers engaged in grassland protection. | Zhirong Zheng Chaoyang Feng Shengxing Ye Zhaoyan Diao Shihai Lü | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2015,13,1: | 4 |

The above result indicates that under the condition of advection, humidity variance meets the relationsm sA sB D and it is determined by relative magnitude of scalar variance of advection transport. | 11 | The sedimentological characteristics of microbialites of the Cambrian in the vicinity of Beijing,China显示文摘With oil and gas exploration transferring to deeper and more ancient marine strata,more researches have been conducted about the Meso—Neoproterozoic and Cambrian microbial carbonate rocks by petroleum geologists.The Cambrian deposits experienced the first transgression of the Paleozoic,with shallow marine facies depositing in most areas,which are favorable for different kinds of biological reproduction.The Lower Cambrian in Beijing area is lithologically dominated by purple red shales interbedded with limestones,the Middle Cambrian is mainly composed of thick oolitic limestones,and the Upper Cambrian consists of thin limestones and flat-pebble conglomerates.Two beds of microbial carbonate rocks were discovered in the Cambrian outcrops in the vicinity of Beijing.One is from the Zhangxia Formation of Middle Cambrian,and the other is from the Gushan Formation of Upper Cambrian.The microbialites are characterized by combination of multiple stromatolites forming different bioherms.The bioherms are mostly in oval shape and with different sizes,which are 3-4 m long,and 1-3 m high.The surrounding strata beneath the bioherms are oolitic limestones.A central core of flat-pebble conglomerates occurred within each bioherm.Wavy or columnar stromatolites grow on the basis of flat-pebble conglomerates,with dentate erosional surfaces.The bioherm carbonate rocks are interpreted as products from a deep ramp sedimentary environment where potential oil and gas reservoirs can be found.The analysis of sedimentological characteristics of bioherm carbonate rocks and its lithofacies palaeogeography has significant implication for petroleum exploration.Research on geological record of microbialites is beneficial to investigating the Earth evolution,biodiversity,palaeoenvironment and palaeoclimate change,as well as biological extinction event during geological transitions.It also gives warning to human beings of modern biological crisis. | Yin- Ye Wu Tian-Shu Zhang Jia-Lei Lü Yan Liu | 2017 | Journal of Palaeogeography2017,6,2: | 3 |

In contrast to the traditional MRRM, numerical stability is achieved by using the present new formulation for high-order frequencies or/and for plates with large span-to-width ratios. The heavy computational cost of storage and memory are also cut down. An improved recursive formulation is further proposed by modifying the iterative formula to reduce the matrix inversion op- erations.
