1GPS-constrained inversion of present-day slip rates along major faults of the Sichuan-Yunnan region, China显示文摘A linked-fault-element model is employed to invert for contemporary slip rates along major active faults in the Sichuan-Yunnan region (96°-108°E, 21°-35°N) using the least squares method. The model is based on known fault geometry, and constrained by a GPS-derived horizontal velocity field. Our results support a model attributing the eastward extrusion of the Tibetan Plateau driven mainly by the north-northeastward indentation of the Indian plate into Tibet and the gravitational collapse of the plateau. Resisted by a relatively stable south China block, materials of the Sichuan-Yunnan region rotate clockwise around the eastern Himalayan tectonic syntaxis. During the process the Garzê-Yushu, Xianshuihe, Anninghe, Zemuhe, Daliangshan, and Xiaojiang faults, the southwest extension of the Xiaojiang fault, and the Daluo-Jinghong and Mae Chan faults constitute the northeast and east boundaries of the eastward extrusion, with their left slip rates being 0.3-14.7, 8.9-17.1, 5.1 ± 2.5, 2.8 ± 2.3, 7.1 ± 2.1, 9.4 ± 1.2, 10.1 ± 2.0, 7.3 ± 2.6, and 4.9 ± 3.0 mm/a respectively. The southwestern boundary consists of a widely distributed dextral transpressional zone other than a single fault. Right slip rates of 4.2 ± 1.3, 4.3 ± 1.1, and 8.5 ± 1.7 mm/a are detected across the Nanhua-Chuxiong-Jianshui, Wuliangshan, and Longling-Lancang faults. Crustal deformation across the Longmenshan fault is weak, with short-ening rates of 1.4 ± 1.0 and 1.6 ± 1.3 mm/a across the Baoxing-Beichuan and Beichuan-Qingchuan segments. Northwest of the Longmenshan fault lies an active deformation zone (the Longriba fault) with 5.1±1.2 mm/a right slip across. Relatively large slip rates are detected across a few faults within the Sichuan-Yunnan block: 4.4±1.3 mm/a left slip and 2.7±1.1 mm/a shortening across the Litang fault, and 2.7±2.3 mm/a right-lateral shearing and 6.7±2.3 mm/a shortening across the Yunongxi fault and its surrounding regions. In conclusion, we find that the Sichuan-Yunnan region is divided into more than a dozen active micro-blocks by a large number of faults with relatively slow slip rates. 2Research on heart sound identification technology显示文摘In this article,both the basic principles and the experimental methods of identity recognition technology based on heart sounds are addressed.First,the characteristics of heart sounds and the feasibility of heart sounds as a biometric were analyzed.A synthetic model of heart sounds was then developed based on a family of wavelets;Finally,the characteristic parameters of heart sounds were extracted by using the heart sounds linear band frequency cepstra(HS-LBFC)with a specified configuration,and the similarity distance was adopted for heart sound identification.To highlight the difference in two heart sound signals between the time and frequency domains,a construction method of the heart sound wavelet,a calculation method of the parameters of a synthetic model,selection of the characteristic parameters of heart sounds and the corresponding data processing technology were examined.The experimental results showed that the proposed method exhibited excellent performance and practicability.CHENG XieFeng MA Yong LIU Chen ZHANG XueJun GUO YuFeng 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,2:20
3m^6A Regulates Neurogenesis and Neuronal Development by Modulating Histone Methyltransferase Ezh2显示文摘N6-methyladenosine (m6A),catalyzed by the methyltransferase complex consisting of Mettl3 and Mettl14,is the most abundant RNA modification in mRNAs and participates in diverse biological processes. However,the roles and precise mechanisms of m6A modification in regulating neuronal development and adult neurogenesis remain unclear. Here,we examined the function of Mettl3,the key component of the complex,in neuronal development and adult neurogenesis of mice. We found that the depletion of Mettl3 significantly reduced m6A levels in adult neural stem cells (aNSCs) and inhibited the proliferation of aNSCs. Mettl3 depletion not only inhibited neu-ronal development and skewed the differentiation of aNSCs more toward glial lineage,but also affected the morphological maturation of newborn neurons in the adult brain. m6A immunoprecip-itation combined with deep sequencing (MeRIP-seq) revealed that m6A was predominantly enriched in transcripts related to neurogenesis and neuronal development. Mechanistically,m6A was present on the transcripts of histone methyltransferase Ezh2,and its reduction upon Mettl3 knockdown decreased both Ezh2 protein expression and consequent H3K27me3 levels. The defects of neurogenesis and neuronal development induced by Mettl3 depletion could be rescued by Ezh2 overexpression. 5Electrochemical oxidation of recalcitrant organic compounds in biologically treated municipal solid waste leachate in a flow reactor显示文摘Biologically-treated municipal solid waste(MSW) leachate still contains many kinds of bio-recalcitrant organic matter. A new plate and frame electrochemical reactor was designed to treat these materials under flow conditions. In the electrochemical oxidation process, NH3and color could be easily removed by means of electro-generated chlorine/hypochlorite within 20 min. The efects of major process parameters on the removal of organic pollutants were investigated systematically. Under experimental conditions, the optimum operation parameters were current density of 65 mA/cm2, flow velocity of 2.6 cm/sec in electrode gap, and initial chloride ion concentration of 5000 mg/L. The COD in the leachate could be reduced below 100 mg/L after 1 hr of treatment. The kinetics and mechanism of COD removal were investigated by simultaneously monitoring the COD change and chlorine/hypochlorite production.The kinetics of COD removal exhibited a two-stage kinetic model, and the decrease of electro-generated chlorine/hypochlorite production was the major mechanism for the slowing down of the COD removal rate in the second stage. 6Discovery and implications of catenary-bead subaqueous dunes显示文摘Measurements of topography at the segment of bifurcation between the South Channel and North Channel in the Yangtze Estuary were conducted, and a new type of subaqueous dune was discovered. This structure, newly defined as a catenary-bead dune, consists of a catenary dune and its associated elliptical pit bedform. Based on this finding, the nomenclature of 'morphology of dune associated with accompanying bedform' is first proposed. The measured data indicate a mean height and wavelength of 1.29 m and 31.89 m, respectively; wavelength/height ratio(L/H) of 14 to 56; and elliptical pits of mean and maximum depth 0.98 m and 1.98 m, respectively. Flow information was obtained using an Acoustic Doppler Current Profile(ADCP), and the bed material components were gathered with a bottom sampler. The results show mean flood and ebb velocities of 0.27 and 0.78 m s?1, respectively, with shorter duration of flood tide than ebb tide. The silt, very fine sand, and fine sand fractions were within the ranges 21.6–23.4%, 28.2–32.2%, and 39.7–41.6%, respectively, revealing complex bed material composition. Water depth at the study site varies from 13 to 17 m. This finding will enrich the study of dunes and provide important data for geomorphological research. 7Photocatalytic degradation of bisphenol A using an integrated system of a new gas-liquid-solid circulating fluidized bed reactor and micrometer Gd-doped TiO_2 particles显示文摘A new gas-liquid-solid circulating fluidized bed photocatalytic reactor (GLSCFBPR) with internally placed multi-layered UV lamps was developed. Micrometer Gd-TiO2 particles and commercial nanometer P25-TiO2 were chosen as the photocatalysts, and the hazardous substance bisphenol A (BPA) was chosen as the model pollutant to investigate the performance of this new photocatalytic system. The results showed that the photocatalytic degradation efficiency of the micrometer Gd-TiO2 particles was similar to that of the nanometer P-25 particles at their respective optimum dosage but the former could be easily separated out by gravity. After investigating the effects of process parameters on the photocatalytic BPA degradation, the response surface method (RSM) was further used for process optimization. The interactions among process parameters, i.e., TiO2 concentration, superficial gas velocity and superficial liquid velocity were discovered and a related analysis was carried out to explore the underlying mechanism. A quadratic mathematic model was established and performed satisfactorily when used for prediction. 8Brain Network Analysis of Schizophrenia Based on the Functional Connectivity显示文摘Network analysis based on graph theory has greatly promoted the cognition of the human brain network. A detailed brain network function connection analysis was carried out for the brain of normal human brain and mental illness patients. We studied the Magnetoencephalography(MEG) of 9 normal subjects and9 schizophrenics in left hemisphere temporal lobe and frontal lobe regions. And obtained the dynamic function connectivity matrix by calculating Pearson correlation coefficients that based on sliding time window and shorttime Fourier transform, and constructed weight and binary network by graph theory. 12A comparison of lightwand and laryngoscopic intubation techniques in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy显示文摘Objective:To assess the effects of lightwand and laryngoscopic intubation techniques in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). Methods:300 ASA physical status I and II patients,undergoing LC,were randomly assigned to two groups,with 150 cases in each group. Patients in the LS group underwent endotracheal intubation using a standard direct-suspension laryngoscopic technique. Patients in the LW group were intubated by using transillumination with a lightwand. Mean arterial pressure and heart rate were recorded before induction,and at 1,3 and 5 min after intubation. The incidence and of sore throat,hoarseness,and dysphagia was assessed twenty-four hours after surgery. Results:This study demonstrated no clinically significant difference in cardiovascular variables between the two techniques. Patients had a significantly lower incidence of sore throat,hoarseness,and dysphagia when the lightwand was used for intubation. Conclusion:This study suggests that lightwand intubation may decrease the incidence of postoperative sore throat,hoarseness,and dysphagia,thereby potentially increasing satisfaction in surgical patients. 14Mechanism of Surface Vertical Deformation in Parts of the Underground Gas Storage Reservoir of Hutubi, Xinjiang, China显示文摘The Underground Gas Storage( UGS) in Hutubi( HTB),Xinjiang is the largest gas storage reservoir in China and it has significance for coordinating the gas supply and demand relationship,peak-load regulation,implementation of strategic reserves,national security, and social economic sustainable development. Therefore, the deformation monitoring and simulation analysis of UGS operation has important technical support and reference value for the stability and safe operation of the underground gas storage. In this paper,we use the elevation data obtained from 7 periods of second-order leveling surveys in the Hutubi underground gas storage area in 2013- 2015 to analyze the influence of gas well pressure on the vertical deformation of the underground gas storage reservoir.Research has shown that the absolute vertical subsidence rate is approximately in the range from 11. 8mm to 16. 1mm and the relative subsidence change is about 4. 3mm,near the surface deformation of Hutubi underground gas storage area except for the annual subsidence rate of- 2. 86 mm by the basic influence of uplift of the Tianshan Mountains.Groundwater over-extraction in the Hutubi area also has an impact on the vertical variation of the surface in this region. The land surface change per unit pressure of gas storage has an impact of about 0. 625mm- 1. 125 mm. 17 scenes Terra SAR-X radar images acquired from August,2013 to August,2014 are exploited by Small Baseline Subset( SBAS) In SAR method to obtain the surface deformation time series during the operation of UGS in Hutubi,meanwhile combined with the pressure data of injection / productionwells,the multi-point source Mogi model is used to simulate the UGS deformation field in Hutubi. The results show that the deformation characteristics of the whole UGS area is a discontinuous distribution with the peak deformation value of 10 mm and- 8mm in the satellite line of sight( LOS) during gas injection and production,respectively and the retrieved deformation sequences correspond very well to the gas injection / production pressure changes. Based on the multi- point source Mogi model, we simulate the deformation process of UGS,HTB,and with the adaptive forward search method,the radius and depth of point source are obtained. The simulated results indicate that when the average injection / production pressure of UGS,HTB is 18 MPa and 15 MPa, LOS deformation is up to 7mm and- 4mm,respectively,and surface deformation is related to the density of gas injection( production) wells. The UGS gas distribution is not uniform,indicating that the structure of underground gas storage is complex. 19Vision-based adaptive variable rate spraying approach for unmanned aerial vehicles显示文摘The rapid developments of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV)and vision sensor are contributing a great reformation in precision agriculture.Farmers can fly their UAV spraying pesticides around their crop fields while staying at their remote control room or any place that is separated from their farm land.However,there is a common phenomenon in rice planting management stage that some empty areas are randomly located in farmland.Therefore,a critical problem is that the waste of pesticides that occurs when spraying pesticides over rice fields with empty areas by using the common UAV,because it is difficult to control the flow accuracy based on the empty areas changing.To tackle this problem,a novel vision-based spraying system was proposed that can identify empty areas automatically while spraying a precise amount of pesticides on the target regions.By this approach,the image was preprocessed with the Lucy-Richardson algorithm,then the target area was split from the background with k-means and the feature parameters were extracted,finally the feature parameters were filtered out with a positive contribution which would serve as the input parameters of the support vector machine(SVM)to identify the target area.Also a fuzzy control model was analyzed and exerted to compensate the nonlinearity and hysteresis of the variable rate spraying system.Experimental results proved that the approach was applicable to reducing the amount of pesticides during UAV spraying,which can provide a reference for precision agriculture aviation in the future.Linhui Wang Yubin Lan Xuejun Yue Kangjie Ling Zhenzhao Cen Ziyao Cheng Yongxin Liu Jian Wang 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,3:1
