1Determination of Interfacial Heat Transfer Behavior at the Metal/Shot Sleeve of High Pressure Die Casting Process of AZ91D Alloy显示文摘The interfacial heat transfer behavior at the metal/shot sleeve interface in the high pressure die casting(HPDC) process of AZ91 D alloy is carefully investigated.Based on the temperature measurements along the shot sleeve,inverse method has been developed to determine the interfacial heat transfer coefficient in the shot sleeve.Under static condition,Interfacial heat transfer coefficient(IHTC) peak values are 11.9,7.3,8.33 k W m^(-2)K^(-1)at pouring zone(S2),middle zone(S5),and end zone(S10),respectively.During the casting process,the IHTC curve displays a second peak of 6.1 k W m^(-2)K^(-1)at middle zone during the casting process at a slow speed of 0.3 m s^(-1).Subsequently,when the high speed started,the IHTC curve reached a second peak of 12.9 k W m^(-2)K^(-1)at end zone.Furthermore,under different slow casting speeds,both the calculated initial temperature(TIDS) and the maximum temperature(Tsimax) of shot sleeve surface first decrease from 0.1 m s^(-1)to 0.3 m s^(-1),but increase again from 0.3 m s^(-1)to 0.6 m s^(-1).This result agrees with the experimental results obtained in a series of 'plate-shape' casting experiments under different slow speeds,which reveals that the amount of ESCs decreases to the minimum values at 0.3 m s^(-1)and increase again with the increasing casting slow speed.Wenbo Yu Yongyou Cao Xiaobo Li Zhipeng Guo Shoumei Xiong 2017Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,1:7

3A stable artificial protective layer for high capacity dendrite-free lithium metal anode显示文摘The metallic lithium(Li)is considered as the most promising anode material for high-e nergy batteries.Nevertheless,the uncon trollable growth of Li den drite and un stable electrolyte/electrode in terface still hin der the developme nt of Li-based battery.In this work,a no vel strategy has been proposed to stabilize Li anode by in-situ polymerizing polypyrrole(PPy)layer on Ni foam(PPy@Ni foam)as an artificial protective layer.The PPy protective layer can effectively decrease the contact between Li metal and electrolyte during cycling.In addition,the morphology characterization shows that the PPy layer can help the even Li deposition undemeath the layer,leading to a dendrite-free Li anode.As a result,when deposited 2 mAh-cm-2 Li metal,the PPy@Ni foam can keep stable Coulombic efficiency(99%)during nearly 250 cycles,much better than the pure Ni foam(100 cycles).Even in the case of the Li capacity of 10 mAh-cm-2,the stable cycling performance for 60 cycles can still be achieved.Furthermore,when assembled with LiFePO4 material as the cathode for a full cell,the PPy@Ni foam can keep high capacity retention of 85.5%at 500 cycles.In our work,we provide a simple and effective method to enhanee the electrochemical performances of Li metal-based batteries,and reveal a new avenue to design three-dimensional(3D)metallic curre nt collector for protecting the Li metal ano de.Zhipeng Wen Yueying Peng Jianlong Cong Haiming Hua Yingxin Lin Jian Xiong Jing Zeng Jinbao Zhao 2019Nano Research2019,12,10:6
4Design of Vegetable Pot Seedling Pick‑up Mechanism with Planetary Gear Train显示文摘It has been challenging to design seedling pick-up mechanism based on given key points and trajectories,because it involves dimensional synthesis and rod length optimization.In this paper,the dimensional synthesis of seedling pickup mechanism with planetary gear train was studied based on the data of given key points and the trajectory of the endpoint of seedling pick-up mechanism.Given the positions and orientations requirements of the five key points,the study first conducted a dimensional synthesis of the linkage size and center of rotation.The next steps were to select a reasonable solution and optimize the data values based on the ideal seedling trajectory.The link motion was driven by the planetary gear train of the two-stage gear.Four pitch curves of noncircular gears were obtained by calculating and distributing the transmission ratio according to the data.For the pitch curve with two convex points,the tooth profile design method of incomplete noncircular gear was applied.The seedling pick-up mechanism was tested by a virtual prototype and a physical prototype designed with the obtained parameter values.The results were consistent with the theoretical design requirements,confirming that the mechanism meets the expected requirements for picking seedlings up.This paper presents a new design method of vegetable pot seedling pick-up mechanism for an automatic vegetable transplanter.Zhipeng Tong Gaohong Yu Xiong Zhao Pengfei Liu Bingliang Ye 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,4:6
5Correlation between ionospheric longitudinal harmonic components and upper atmospheric tides显示文摘There is strong correlation among the ionospheric longitudinal structures of wavenumber-3(WN3),wavenumber-4(WN4),and eastward-propagating diurnal tides with zonal wave numbers s = 2 and 3(DE2 and DE3) in the upper atmosphere.The total electron content derived from the Global Ionospheric Maps of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory is used to deduce the latitudinally total electron content(ITEC) in the low-latitude ionosphere,and TIDE/TIMED observations are employed to obtain zonal and meridian winds of the mesopause and lower thermosphere.Through Fourier transformation,various ionospheric longitudinal harmonic components and tidal patterns are derived from the ionospheric and upper-atmospheric observations,and we compare the annual/inter-annual variations in ionospheric harmonic components WN3 and WN4 with those in atmospheric tides(DE2 and DE3).It is found that the annual and inter-annual variations in WN3 and WN4 are consistent with those in DE2 and DE3 zonal wind components respectively,while they are inconsistent with those in the meridian components.We then decompose the harmonic components into 'tidal patterns',finding that the 'DE2' and 'DE3' patterns are the main parts of WN3 and WN4 respectively.Their annual and inter-annual variations are similar to those of atmospheric tidal patterns(DE2 and DE3).Complex correlation results show that correlation between the ionospheric 'DE2' in WN3 and the atmospheric tidal DE2 zonal wind component is quite strong in the Northern Hemisphere,while that between the ionospheric 'DE3' in WN4 and the atmospheric tidal DE3 zonal wind component is much stronger at low latitudes.At the same time,the contribution of the meridian wind component is very weak.Above all,the atmospheric tidal DE2 and DE3 patterns are important factors of the ionospheric WN3 and WN4 structures.MU WenFeng WAN WeiXing REN ZhiPeng XIONG JianGang 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,35:5

15Optimization of inter-helix spacing for helical piles in sand显示文摘The optimization of the inter-helix spacing is a key issue of the axial bearing capacity of helical piles.In this paper,based on the cavity expansion,an analytical approach considering the small-strain stiffness,strength,compressibility and stress level of sand around the helical pile was proposed to analyze the influence zone of the helices to determine the optimal inter-helix spacing in sand.The calculation results of the proposed method were verified using the centrifuge test data and finite element analysis for helical pile in Congleton HST95 sand.They were also compared with those using the Meyerhof pile foundation theory.The results show that the optimal inter-helix spacing based on Meyerhof pile foundation theory differs significantly from the measurement.The range of the influence zone for the helices in sand calculated by the cavity expansion theory matches with the data from literature.The calculation results with the proposed method are consistent with the range of the optimal spacing ratio inferred in the centrifuge tests.The results based on the two-dimensional(2D)finite element model(FEM)are also basically consistent with the calculated analytical solution.Kang Shao Qian Su Junwei Liu Kaiwen Liu Zhipeng Xiong Tengfei Wang 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,3:0

19Propolis inspired sunscreens for efficient UV-protection and skin barrier maintenance显示文摘The direct use of naturally occurring,small molecular ingredients in bioinspired sunscreens has raised several concerns due to the instability,photocytotoxicity,and potential blood toxicity of those ingredients.In this work,we have employed natural ultraviolet(UV)-blocking molecule caffeic acid phenethyl ester(CAPE)from propolis to prepare poly(CAPE)nanoparticles(NPs)as the main bioactive ingredient to fabricate propolis-inspired hydrogel sunscreens.Compared with small molecular CAPE,poly(CAPE)NPs exhibited better dispersion and stability in water,as well as lower physiological toxicity and skin permeability.And the resulting composite hydrogels demonstrated promising properties including water-resistant whereas can be easily erased by warm water as well as safety when interacting with skin.More importantly,the hydrogel sunscreens showed excellent UV protection properties both in vitro and in vivo,and the positive effects in maintaining skin barrier functions.This work provides new strategies towards the facile construction of nature-inspired robust sunscreens in the future.Yu Fu Ruoyu Wan Lei Yang Lidan Xiong Junfei Hu Jie Tang Hailun He Zhipeng Gu Li Li Yiwen Li 2022Nano Research2022,15,9:0
20A Non-toxic and Efficient Method for Extracting DNA and RNA from Peanut显示文摘[Objectives]To establish a non-toxic and efficient method for extracting DNA and total RNA from peanuts and laying a solid foundation for the molecular biology study of peanuts.[Methods]Based on the principle and method of purifying nucleic acids by silica gel adsorption at high salt and low pH condition,a non-toxic and efficient method to extract peanut DNA and total RNA using cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB)extraction solution was designed.The quality and purity of nucleic acids were detected by agarose gel electrophoresis and nucleic acids protein analyzer,respectively.The quality of DNA was further verified by enzyme digestion and PCR amplification using molecular marker techniques.The quality of total RNA was further verified by reverse transcription(RT)-PCR of actin gene and cDNA-SCoT gene differential display technique.[Results]The agarose gel electrophoresis test showed that the peanut DNA extracted by a low-toxic and effective method is free of contamination and degradation.Through the detection by the nucleic acid protein analyzer,the DNA concentration,yield,A260/A280 and A260/A230 of 5 peanut varieties were 419.6-498.2 ng/μL,20.98-24.91μg/g,1.89-1.96 and 2.03-2.28,respectively.The DNA was of high quality and can be completely digested by EcoRI restriction enzymes,and also can be used for SCoT and SRAP molecular marker technology analysis.The RNA extracted from different tissues of peanuts showed no visible DNA bands by non-denaturing agarose gel electrophoresis.The separated 28S bands were brighter than 18S.The ratio of A260/A280 and A260/A230 showed that the RNA quality was good and can be used for reverse transcription,RT-PCR of actin gene and amplification of cDNA-SCoT gene differential display technique.[Conclusions]This experiment established a low-toxic and effective method for extracting DNA and total RNA from peanuts.Compared with traditional methods,this method is more time-saving and cheaper than commercial kits.The most important point is that this method does not use toxic reagents such as phenol,chloroform and isopropanol.Thus,it is expected to be widely applied in molecular biology research.Jing LIU Congcong WANG Jing JIANG Zhuqiang HAN Xiumei TANG Lihang QIU Liangqiong HE Ruichun ZHONG Zhipeng HUANG Haining WU Ronghua TANG Junxian LIU Faqian XIONG 2021Asian Agricultural Research2021,13,1:0
