1An AIEgens and exonuclease Ⅲ aided quadratic amplification assay for detecting and cellular imaging of telomerase activity显示文摘Monitoring telomerase activity with high sensitive and reliable is of great importance to cancer analysis.In this paper, we report a sensitive and facile method to detect telomerase activity using AIEgens modified probe(TPE-Py-DNA) as a fluorescence reporter and exonuclease Ⅲ(Exo Ⅲ) as a signal amplifier.With the aid of telomerase, repeat units(TTAGGG)n are extended from the end of template substrate oligonucleotides(TS primer) that form duplex DNAs with TPE-Py-DNA. Then, Exo Ⅲ catalyzes the digestion of duplex DNAs, liberating elongation product and releasing hydrophobic TPE-Py. The released hydrophobic TPE-Py aggregate together and produce a telomerase-activity-related fluorescence signal.The liberated product hybridizes with another TPE-Py-DNA probe, starting the second cycle. Finally,we obtain the target-to-signal amplification ratio of 1:N^2. This strategy exhibits good performance for detecting clinical urine samples(distinguishing 15 cancer patients' samples from 8 healthy ones) and checking intracellular telomerase activity(differentiating cell lines including He La, MDA-MB-231,MCF-7, A375, HLF and MRC-5 from the cells pretreated with telomerase-related drug), which shows its potential in clinical diagnosis as well as therapeutic monitoring of cancer.Xuehong Min Lei Xia Yuan Zhuang Xudong Wang Jie Du Xiaojin Zhang Xiaoding Lou Fan Xia 2017Science Bulletin2017,62,14:5
2A thermal-flutter criterion for an open thin-walled circular cantilever beam subject to solar heating显示文摘The flexible attachments of spacecraft may undergo Thermally Induced Vibration(TIV)on orbit due to the suddenly changed solar heating. The unstable TIV, called thermal-flutter, can cause serious damage to the spacecraft. In this paper, the coupled bending-torsion thermal vibration equations for an open thin-walled circular cantilever beam are established. By analyzing the stability of these equations based on the first Lyapunov method, the thermal-flutter criterion can be obtained. The criterion is very different form that of closed thin-walled beams because the torsion has great impact on the stability of the TIV for open thin-walled beams. 4NeuroBiometric:An Eye Blink Based Biometric Authentication System Using an Event-Based Neuromorphic Vision Sensor显示文摘The rise of the Internet and identity authentication systems has brought convenience to people's lives but has also introduced the potential risk of privacy leaks.Existing biometric authentication systems based on explicit and static features bear the risk of being attacked by mimicked data.This work proposes a highly efficient biometric authentication system based on transient eye blink signals that are precisely captured by a neuromorphic vision sensor with microsecond-level temporal resolution.The neuromorphic vision sensor only transmits the local pixel-level changes induced by the eye blinks when they occur,which leads to advantageous characteristics such as an ultra-low latency response.We first propose a set of effective biometric features describing the motion,speed,energy and frequency signal of eye blinks based on the microsecond temporal resolution of event densities.We then train the ensemble model and non-ensemble model with our Neuro Biometric dataset for biometrics authentication.The experiments show that our system is able to identify and verify the subjects with the ensemble model at an accuracy of 0.948 and with the non-ensemble model at an accuracy of 0.925.The low false positive rates(about 0.002)and the highly dynamic features are not only hard to reproduce but also avoid recording visible characteristics of a user's appearance.The proposed system sheds light on a new path towards safer authentication using neuromorphic vision sensors.Guang Chen Fa Wang Xiaoding Yuan Zhijun Li Zichen Liang Alois Knoll 2021IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,1:3
5Integrating urban morphology and land surface temperature characteristics for urban functional area classification显示文摘The classification of urban functional areas plays an important role in urban planning and resource management.Although previous studies have confirmed that different urban func-tional areas have different morphological structures and Land Surface Temperature(LST)characteristics,these two types of characteristics have rarely been fully integrated and used for functional area classification.In this paper,a new framework for classifying urban functional areas is proposed by combining urban morphological features and LST features.First,metrics are constructed from three levels,namely,building,road and region,which are used to portray urban morphology;LST is retrieved using thermal infrared remote sensing to reflect LST features with four metrics:the average temperature,maximum temperature,temperature difference and standard deviation of temperature.Then,the functional areas are classified into four categories:service/public land,commercial land,residential land and industrial land.A random forest algorithm is used to effectively fuse the features of these two categories and classify the functional areas.The effectiveness of the proposed framework is tested in the study area of Shenzhen City,Guangdong Province.The results show that the combined classification accuracy of the proposed classification method is 0.85,which is 0.26 higher than that of the classification model based on urban morphology and 0.1 higher than that of the classification model based on LST features.The proposed framework verifies that the integration of LST features into urban functional area classification is reliable and effectively combines urban morphology and LST features for functional area classification.Bin Li Yefei Liu Hanfa Xing Yuan Meng Guang Yang Xiaoding Liu Yaolong Zhao 2022Geo-Spatial Information Science2022,25,2:0
6Recent advances in stimuli-responsive theranostic systems with aggregation-induced emission characteristics显示文摘Theranostic systems by integrating the tumor imaging and tumor therapeutic capabilities into one platform have attracted numerous attentions from worldwide researchers.Despite the great developments,their clinical application is still in the nascent stage,owing to the unsatisfied imaging quality and limited therapeutic efficacy.Fortunately,the emerging of aggregation-induced emission(AIE)molecules with unique fluorescence property offers an opportunity to solve the imaging problem.Besides,further utilizing the tumor microenvironments and external triggers to design the stimuli-responsive imaging-guided therapy could enhance the therapeutic efficacy and reduce the side effects.In this review,the advancements in stimuli-responsive theranostic systems with AIE characteristics are summarized.Theranostic systems are first classified according to their treatment modes,and then subdivided based on various stimuli,including pH,redox,enzyme,and light.In each section,the design strategies and application examples are introduced.At last,the current state of the art,limitations,as well as prospects are also discussed.Jing-Jing Hu Wenlian Jiang Lizhen Yuan Chong Duan Qiming Yuan Zi Long Xiaoding Lou Fan Xia 2021Aggregate2021,2,1:0
