1Overexpression of IbPAL1 promotes chlorogenic acid biosynthesis in sweetpotato显示文摘Sweetpotato[Ipomoea batatas(L.)Lam.],a food crop with both nutritional and medicinal uses,plays essential roles in food security and health-promoting.Chlorogenic acid(CGA),a polyphenol displaying several bioactivities,is distributed in all edible parts of sweetpotato.However,little is known about the specific metabolism of CGA in sweetpotato.In this study,IbPAL1,which encodes an endoplasmic reticulum-localized phenylalanine ammonia lyase(PAL),was isolated and characterized in sweetpotato.CGA accumulation was positively associated with the expression pattern of IbPAL1 in a tissue-specific manner,as further demonstrated by overexpression of IbPAL1.Overexpression of IbPAL1 promoted CGA accumulation and biosynthetic pathway genes expression in leaves,stimulated secondary xylem cell expansion in stems,and inhibited storage root formation.Our results support a potential role for IbPAL1 in sweetpotato CGA biosynthesis and establish a theoretical foundation for detailed mechanism research and nutrient improvement in sweetpotato breeding programs.Yang Yu Yingjie Wang Yue Yu Peiyong Ma Zhaodong Jia Xiaoding Guo Yizhi Xie Xiaofeng Bian 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,1:5
2Statistic characteristics of severe convective storm during Warm-Season in the Beijing-Tianjin region and its vicinity显示文摘This study analyzed the climatological characteristics of severe convective storms in the Beijing and Tianjin region and its vicinity based on the Doppler radar data of Tanggu during May―August of 2003― 2007. The climatological characteristics, e.g. storm area, volume, top height, max reflectivity, life time and motion, are analyzed. The results include: 75% of all storms in the Beijing-Tianjin region last no more than 30 minutes, and most storms have a volume less than 400 km3; most storms move from southwest to northeast while the speed is between 10―30 km/h; the mean storm top height is about 6 km, but some strong convective storms can have a top height larger than 15 km; finally, storm area and volume have a similar geographical distribution character showing increasing trends from west to east. Compared with the statistic results based on the conventional surface meteorological observations, the results based on the radar data can present not only 3D spatial statistic results of convective storms (e.g., volume and top height), but also the quantitative climatological characteristics, such as the life-time and speed distributions. 3Characteristics and origin of mafic and ultramafic xenoliths in trachyandesite lavas from Heikongshan volcano,Tengchong,Yunnan Province,China显示文摘The trachyandesite lavas from Heikongshan volcano of the Tengchong volcanic cluster, Yunnan Province contain relatively abundant mafic and ultramafic small xenoliths comprising mainly gabbro, pyroxenite and rare lherzolites, all less than 2.5 cm in size. Gabbro xenoliths are characterized by 'open' texture represented by relatively abundant vesicles and ground-mass fillings, while pyroxenite xenoliths are characterized by equigranular and poikilitic texture. Their mineral compositions (clinopyroxene ± orthopyroxene ± plagioclase) are similar to those of phenocrysts in lavas, and their equilibration temperature (1000-1125°C) is consistent with the crystallization temperature of the phenocrysts (998-1108°C). Thus, the textures and compositions of these xenoliths are different from those of lower crustal and mantle xenoliths, and were derived from the magma chamber. Among them, the gabbroic xenoliths come from the crystal-bubble-liquid zone at the top of the magma reservoir, while the pyroxenite xenoliths come from the cumulates in the bottom of magma reservoir. The studied single lherzolite xenolith with porphyroclastic texture has similar mineral compositions to the mantle xenoliths from eastern China, and is considered to be of upper mantle origin. It was brought into magma reservoir by replenishment magma, and might have experienced a cooling event before eruption. 4Advances in Severe Convection Research and Operation in China显示文摘This article reviews the advances in severe convection research and operation in China during the past several decades.The favorable synoptic situations for severe convective weather(SCW),the major organization modes of severe convective storms(SCSs),the favorable environmental conditions and characteristics of weather radar echoes and satellite images of SCW and SCSs,and the forecasting and nowcasting techniques of SCW,are emphasized.As a whole,Chinese scientists have achieved a profound understanding of the synoptic patterns,organization,and evolution characteristics of SCW from radar and satellite observations,and the mechanisms of different types of convective weather in China.Specifically,in-depth understanding of the multiple types of convection triggers,along with the environmental conditions,structures and organization modes,and maintenance mechanisms of supercell storms and squall lines,has been obtained.The organization modes and climatological distributions of mesoscale convective systems and different types of SCW,and the multiscale characteristics and formation mechanisms of large hail,tornadoes,downbursts,and damaging convective wind gusts based on radar,satellite,and lightning observations,as well as the related features from damage surveys,are elucidated.In terms of operational applications,different types of identification and mesoanalysis techniques,and various forecasting and nowcasting techniques using methods such as the'ingredients-based'and deep learning algorithms,have been developed.As a result,the performance of operational SCW forecasts in China has been significantly improved.Xiaoding YU Yongguang ZHENG 2020Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,2:4
5Prison Term Prediction on Criminal Case Description with Deep Learning显示文摘The task of prison term prediction is to predict the term of penalty based on textual fact description for a certain type of criminal case.Recent advances in deep learning frameworks inspire us to propose a two-step method to address this problem.To obtain a better understanding and more specific representation of the legal texts,we summarize a judgment model according to relevant law articles and then apply it in the extraction of case feature from judgment documents.By formalizing prison term prediction as a regression problem,we adopt the linear regression model and the neural network model to train the prison term predictor.In experiments,we construct a real-world dataset of theft case judgment documents.Experimental results demonstrate that our method can effectively extract judgment-specific case features from textual fact descriptions.The best performance of the proposed predictor is obtained with a mean absolute error of 3.2087 months,and the accuracy of 72.54%and 90.01%at the error upper bounds of three and six months,respectively.Shang Li Hongli Zhang Lin Ye Shen Su Xiaoding Guo Haining Yu Binxing Fang 2020Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,3:2
6Electrodynamic Tethered Deorbit System Dynamics and Performance Analysis显示文摘Electrodynamic tethered deorbit technology is a novel way to remove abandoned spacecrafts like upper stages or unusable satellites. This paper investigates and analyses the deorbit performance and mission applicability of the electrodynamic tethered system. To do so, the electrodynamic tethered deorbit dynamics with multi-perturbation is firstly formulated, where the Earth magnetic field, the atmospheric drag, and the Earth oblateness effect are considered. Then, the key system parameters, including payload mass, tether length and tether type, are analyzed by numerical simulations to investigate their influences on the deorbit performance and to give the setting principles for choosing system parameters. 7Prediction of solar cycle based on the invariant显示文摘A new method of predicting solar activities has been introduced in this paper. The method can predict both the occurrence time and the maximum number of sunspot at the same time. By studying the variation of sunspot, we find that the combination of the several variables was nearly in-variable during the entire solar cycles, as called invariant. And just only by determining the start time of a cycle, we can predict the occurrence time of cycles peak value accurately. Furthermore, according to observational data of the sunspot cycles, it showed that the sunspot maximum number has correlation not only with the prophase variety of the number in the cycle but also with the anaphase of the previous period. So we can introduce an equivalent regression coefficient, which can dynamically self-adapt to different cycle lengths, and effectively solve the inconsistency between the accuracy and the lead-time of the forecast. It can guarantee the satis-fied accuracy and effectively increases the lead-time of the forecast. This method can predict the maximum sunspot number for solar cycle at the approximate half rise of the period. 12Nanoparticles(NPs)-mediated lncBCMA silencing to promote eEF1A1 ubiquitination and suppress breast cancer growth and metastasis显示文摘Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)play an important role in cancer metastasis.Exploring metastasis-associated lncRNAs and developing effective strategy for targeted regulation of lncRNA function in vivo are of utmost importance for the treatment of metastatic cancer,which however remains a big challenge.Herein,we identified a new functional lncRNA(denoted lncBCM A),which could stabilize the expression of eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1A1(eEF1A1)via antagonizing its ubiquitination to promote triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)growth and metastasis.Based on this regulatory mechanism,an endosomal pH-responsive nanoparticle(NP)platform was engineered for systemic lncBCMA siRNA(siBCMA)delivery.This NPs-mediated siBCMA delivery could effectively silence lncBCMA expression and promote eEF1A1 ubiquitination,thereby leading to a significant inhibition of TNBC tumor growth and metastasis.These findings show that lncBCMA could be used as a potential biomarker to predict the prognosis of TNBC patients and NPs-mediated lncBCMA silencing could be an effective strategy for metastatic TNBC treatment.Ke Yang Lei Xu Ying Xu Qian Shen Tao Qin Yunfang Yu Yan Nie Herui Yao Xiaoding Xu 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,8:0

14Synoptic-Scale Analysis on Development and Maintenance of the 19–21 July 2021 Extreme Heavy Rainfall in Henan,Central China显示文摘In this paper,synoptic-scale analyses of frontogenesis,moisture budget,and tropospheric diabatic heating are performed to reveal the development and maintenance mechanisms for the extreme heavy rainfall in Henan Province of central China from 19 to 21 July 2021,based on station observations and the ECMWF Reanalysis version 5(ERA5)data.The results demonstrate that owing to the blocking effect of local topography,low-level wind convergence in Henan appeared underneath high-level divergence,conducive to development and maintenance of a midtropospheric low-pressure system saddled by the Asian continental high and the western Pacific subtropical high(WPSH),during the extreme heavy rainfall.In the lower troposphere,frontogenesis occurred in the θ_(se) intensive region,as a result of the divergence and horizontal deformation(which play equally important roles),generating frontal secondary circulation with strong vertical motion favorable to heavy rainfall.Moisture budget analysis reveals that 1)with the continuous strengthening of the easterly wind from the north side of Typhoon In-Fa(2106),strong wind shear and orographic uplift led to abnormally strong convergence of water vapor flux in the boundary layer in Henan;2)there occurred extremely strong net inflow of moisture in the boundary layer from the east.Horizontally,both the apparent heat source and the moisture sink coincided with the area of heavy rainfall;vertically,however,Q_(1)exhibited a single peak with the heating center in the middle and upper troposphere,while large Q_(2)values evenly resided over 850–400 hPa;and Q_(1)(Q_(2))was dominated by vertical(horizontal)transport of potential temperature(moisture).These indicate that the latent heat release from condensation of initial heavy rainfall provided a positive feedback,leading to increasingly heavy precipitation.All these synoptic settings sustained the extreme rainfall process.Dorina CHYI Xiuming WANG Xiaoding YU Junhui ZHANG 2023Journal of Meteorological Research2023,37,2:0
