1Signaling pathways in cancer-associated fibroblasts:recent advances and future perspectives显示文摘As a critical component of the tumor microenvironment(TME),cancerassociated fibroblasts(CAFs)play important roles in cancer initiation and progression.Well-known signaling pathways,including the transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β),Hedgehog(Hh),Notch,Wnt,Hippo,nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB),Janus kinase(JAK)/signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT),mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK),and phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3K)/AKT pathways,as well as transcription factors,including hypoxia-inducible factor(HIF),heat shock transcription factor 1(HSF1),P53,Snail,and Twist,constitute complex regulatory networks in theTMEtomodulate the formation,activation,heterogeneity,metabolic characteristics and malignant phenotype of CAFs.Activated CAFs remodel the TME and influence the malignant biological processes of cancer cells by altering the transcriptional and secretory characteristics,and this modulation partially depends on the regulation of signaling cascades.The results of preclinical and clinical trials indicated that therapies targeting signaling pathways in CAFs demonstrated promising efficacy but were also accompanied by some failures(e.g.,NCT01130142 and NCT01064622).Hence,a comprehensive understanding of the signaling cascades in CAFs might help us better understand the roles of CAFs and the TME in cancer progression and may facilitate the development of more efficient and safer stroma-targeted cancer therapies.Here,we review recent advances in studies of signaling pathways in CAFs and briefly discuss some future perspectives on CAF research.Zengli Fang Qingcai Meng Jin Xu Wei Wang Bo Zhang Jiang Liu Chen Liang Jie Hua Yingjun Zhao Xianjun Yu Si Shi 2023Cancer Communications2023,43,1:5
2Applying accurate gradients of seismic wave reflection coefficients (SWRC) to the inversion of seismic wave velocities显示文摘Through solving the Zoeppritz's partial derivative equations, we have obtained accurate partial derivatives of reflected coefficients of seismic wave with respect to Pand S-wave velocities.With those partial derivatives, a multi-angle inversion is developed for seismic wave velocities.Numerical examples of different formation models show that if the number of iterations goes over 10, the relative error of inversion results is less than 1%, whether or not there is interference among the reflection waves.When we only have the reflected seismograms of P-wave, and only invert for velocities of P-wave, the multi-angle inversion is able to obtain a high computation precision.When we have the reflected seismograms of both P-wave and VS-wave, and simultaneously invert for the velocities of P-wave and VS-wave, the computation precisions of VS-wave velocities improves gradually with the increase of the number of angles, but the computation precision of P-wave velocities becomes worse.No matter whether the reflected seismic waves from the different reflection interface are coherent or non-coherent, this method is able to achieve a higher computation precision.Because it is based on the accurate solution of the gradient of SWRCs without any additional restriction, the multi-angle inversion method can be applied to seismic inversion of total angles.By removing the difficulties caused by simplified Zoeppritz formulas that the conventional AVO technology struggles with, the multiangle inversion method extended the application range of AVO technology and improved the computation precision and speed of inversion of seismic wave velocities.LIU FuPing MENG XianJun XIAO JiaQi WANG YuMei SHEN GuoQiang 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,12:3

4The Dynamic Experiment on Treating Acid Mine Drainage with Iron Scrap and Sulfate Reducing Bacteria Using Biomass Materials as Carbon Source显示文摘The study is aimed at the problem of high content of Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+)and SO_(4)^(2-)is high and low pH value in acid mine drainage(AMD).Moreover,treatment of AMD by sulfate reducing bacteria(SRB)requires the addition of carbon source,while the treating effectiveness is not good enough on its own.The sugarcane slag,the corn cob and the sunflower straw were selected as the SRB carbon source cooperating with iron scrap to construct the dynamic columns 1,2 and 3.The mechanism of removing Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+),SO_(4)^(2-)and H+and the regularity of sustained release of carbon source and TFe release was studied in AMD.The removal efficiency of heavy metal ions,the ability of sustained release of carbon source,and the ability of adjusting acid by the three dynamic columns were compared.The result shows that the average removal rates of Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+)and SO_(4)^(2-)in effluent of dynamic column 1,filled by sugarcane slag,iron scrap and SRB,were 96.9%,67.1%and 54.3%.The average release of TFe and chemical oxygen demand(COD)were 4.4 and 287.3 mg/L.Its average pH was 6.98.Compared with the performance of dynamic columns 1,2 and 3,dynamic column 1 performed best in removing Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+)and SO_(4)^(2-)from AMD and controlling the release of COD and TFe,adjusting the pH of the solution.The study is of significance in treatment of AMD by taking for biomass materials as SRB carbon source in cooperation with iron scrap.Xianjun Wang Junzhen Di Yanrong Dong Yu Yang Bing Liang Fankang Meng Tingting Wang Wenbo An Zengxin Li Jianzhi Guo 2021Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,1:2
5Jacobian matrix for the inversion of P-and S-wave velocities and its accurate computation method显示文摘The optimization inversion method based on derivatives is an important inversion technique in seismic data processing,where the key problem is how to compute the Jacobian matrix.The computation precision of the Jacobian matrix directly influences the success of the optimization inversion method.Currently,all AVO(Amplitude Versus Offset) inversion techniques are based on approximate expressions of Zoeppritz equations to obtain derivatives.As a result,the computation precision and application range of these AVO inversions are restricted undesirably.In order to improve the computation precision and to extend the application range of AVO inversions,the partial derivative equation(Jacobian matrix equation(JME) for the P-and S-wave velocities inversion) is established with Zoeppritz equations,and the derivatives of each matrix entry with respect to Pand S-wave velocities are derived.By solving the JME,we obtain the partial derivatives of the seismic wave reflection coefficients(RCs) with respect to P-and S-wave velocities,respectively,which are then used to invert for P-and S-wave velocities.To better understand the behavior of the new method,we plot partial derivatives of the seismic wave reflection coefficients,analyze the characteristics of these curves,and present new understandings for the derivatives acquired from in-depth analysis.Because only a linear system of equations is solved in our method,the computation of Jacobian matrix is not only of high precision but also is fast and efficient.Finally,the theoretical foundation is established so that we can further study inversion problems involving layered structures(including those with large incident angle) and can further improve computational speed and precision.LIU FuPing MENG XianJun WANG YuMei SHEN GuoQiang YANG ChangChun 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,5:2
6Blueberry malvidin-3-galactoside modulated gut microbial dysbiosis and microbial TCA cycle KEGG pathway disrupted in a liver cancer model induced by HepG2 cells显示文摘HCC(Hepatocellular Carcinoma)is a critical health issue worldwide.Our previous animal experiment has confirmed that blueberry malvidin-3-galactoside(M3G)can regulate the progression of HCC.In this study,feces samples from the same batch of mice were collected to explore the regulatory mechanism of M3G on intestinal microbiota and microbial TCA cycle metabolism KEGG pathway in HCC mice based on 16S rRNA sequencing and metagenomics.Our results showed that blueberry M3G increased the microbial diversity and regulated the structure of intestinal microbiota in mice,such as increasing the abundance of Clostridia(butyric acid-producing bacteria),Oscillospira and Ruminococcus,and reducing the abundance of pathogenic Erysipelotrichi.Compared with the group of liver cancer and 5-fluorouracil,blueberry M3G significantly regulated microbial TCA cycle KEGG pathway via improving the expression of key proteins(porA,DLAT,aceE,PC and OGDH).Additionally,we found which the abundance of Muribaculum intestinale increased by blueberry M3G may be an important factor affecting the microbial TCA cycle KEGG pathway via the pearson correlation(R)analysis of protein and microbiota.Taken together,these results demonstrate that the blueberry M3G has the potential to be an intestinal microbiota regulator and an adjuvant to HCC therapy.Zhen Cheng Jie Lin Ningxuan Gao Xiyun Sun Xianjun Meng Ruihai Liu Yunen Liu Weisheng Wang Bin Li Yuehua Wang 2020Food Science and Human Wellness2020,9,3:2
7Cell cycle dysregulation with overexpression of KIF2C/MCAK is a critical event in显示文摘Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is a common malignant carcinoma of the head and neck,and the biological mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of NPC remain not fully understood.In the present study,we systematically analyzed four independent NPC transcriptomic datasets and focused on identifying the critical molecular networks and novel key hub genes implicated in NPC.We found totally 170 common overlapping differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in the four NPC datasets.GO and KEGG pathway analysis revealed that cell cycle dysregulation is a critical event in NPC.Protein-protein interaction(PPl)network analysis identified a 15 hub-gene corenetwork with overexpressedkinesin family member2C(KIF2C)as a central regulator.Loss-of-function study demonstrated that knockdown of KiF2C significantly inhibited cell growth and cell motility,and delayed cell cycle progression,accompanied with dramatic mitotic defects in spindle formation in NPC cells.RNA-seq analysis revealed that KIF2c knockdown led to deregulation of various downstream genes.KiF2C could also regulate the AKT/mTOR pathways,and enhance paclitaxel sensitivity in NPC cells.Taken together,our results suggest that cell cycle dysregulation is a critical event during NPC pathogenesis and KIF2C is a novel key mitotic hub gene with therapeutic potential in NPC.Xiaofeng Zuo Peixin Meng Yuxin Bao Chuntao Tao Yitao Wang Xianjun Liu Youquan Bu Jiang Zhu 2023Genes & Diseases2023,10,1:1
8The Goos-Hnchen shift of wide-angle seismic reflection wave显示文摘The partial derivative equations of Zoeppritz equations are established and the derivatives of each matrix entry with respect to wave vectors are derived in this paper.By solving the partial derivative equations we obtained the partial derivatives of seismic wave reflection coefficients with respect to wave vectors,and computed the Goos-Hnchen shift for reflected P-and VS-waves.By plotting the curves of Goos-Hnchen shift,we gained some new insight into the lateral shift of seismic reflection wave.The lateral shifts are very large for glancing wave or the wave of the incidence angle near the critical angle,meaning that the seismic wave propagates a long distance along the reflection interface before returning to the first medium.For the reflection waves of incidence angles away from the critical angle,the lateral shift is in the same order of magnitude as the wavelength.The lateral shift varies significantly with different reflection interfaces.For example,the reflected P-wave has a negative shift at the reflection interface between mudstone and sandstone.The reflected VS-wave has a large lateral shift at or near the critical angle.The lateral shift of the reflected VS-wave tends to be zero when the incidence angle approaches 90°.These observations suggest that Goos-Hnchen effect has a great influence on the reflection wave of wide-angles.The correction for the error caused by Goos-Hnchen effect,therefore,should be made before seismic data processing,such as the depth migration and the normal-moveout correction.With the theoretical foundation established in this paper,we can further study the correction of Goos-Hnchen effect for the reflection wave of large incidence angle.LIU FuPing MENG XianJun XIAO JiaQi WANG AnLing YANG ChangChun 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,5:1

13Effect of acupuncture on rabbit bladder with urodynamic indexes显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of acupuncture on rabbit bladder with urodynamic indexes. METHODS: New Zealand male rabbits were divided into control group, model group, treatment group 1 treated by acupuncture at Shenshu (BL 23) and treatment group 2 treated by acupuncture at Zhongji (CV 3). The urine dynamic parameters through the urethral catheter were detected in each group in order: fluctuation of pressure at filling phase of urinary bladder and flow rate in urination phase, which were used as quantification indexes of urinary bladder function. The urinary bladder abnormal model was prepared by administration of cholinergic stimulant; Regulatory effects of acupuncture at Shenshu (BL 23) and Zhongji (CV 3) on the abnormal state of the urinary bladder were respectively observed. RESULTS: 1) In the filling phase of urinary bladder and in the urination phase, the intravesical pressure wave in infilling (IPWI) and intravesical discharge rate (IDR) could be respectively recorded. 2)IPWI and IDR could become abnormality by neostigmine methyl sulfate [stability type IPWI: the control group (n=20, 80%) vs the model group (n=15, 14.3%), P<0.01; IDR and time regression equation: the control group (n=20, y=24.3 - 0.878x) vs the model group (n=15, y=40.0-5.15x), P<0.01]. 3) Abnormal IPWI's could be normalized respectively by acupuncture at Shenshu (BL 23) and Zhongji (CV 3) [the stability type IPWI wave: the model group (n= 2, 14.3%) vs the treatment group 1 (n=3, 30%), P> 0.05; the instability type IPWI wave: the model group (n=13, 85.7%) in vs the treatment group 2 (n=6, 60%), P>0.05]; 4) Abnormal IDR also could be turned to normality by acupuncture at Shenshu (BL 23) and Zhongji (CV 3), respectively [IDR and the time regression equation: the model group (n=15, y=40.0-5.15x) vs the treatment group 1 (n=10, y= 18.9-0.499x), P<0.01; the model group (n=15, y= 40.0-5.15x) vs the treatment group 2 (n=10, y= 17.5-0.251x), P<0.01]. 14Classification and antioxidant assays of polyphenols:a review显示文摘Polyphenols are widely recognized as the effective antioxidants,which are divided into flavonoids,phenolic acids,stilbenes,lignans,tannins and so on.They could regulate internal functions and protect the body from diseases related to oxidative damage.Due to the fact that their antioxidant capacity is influenced by the structure,stability and bioavailability,the detection of their bioactivity should be considered comprehensively.Currently,the methods for measuring the antioxidant capacity of phenolic compounds are divided into chemical,cell-based and in vivo assays.The chemical assays include 2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazyl(DPPHI),2,2'-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)(ABTS),ferric reducing/antioxidant power(FRAP),oxygen radical absorbance capacity(ORAC),peroxyI radical scavenging capacity(PSC),which are rapid identification method,but their reaction mechanism has a great gap with the internal body response.The cell-based assays are more consistent with biological reaction,but still do not take the bioavailability into consideration.The in vivo assays,which commonly utilized Caenorhabditis elegans or rats as models,are more representative,but these methods are more complex and spend longer.This review summarizes the antioxidant evaluation methods of phenolic compounds and discusses their advantages and limitations comparatively,which could help discriminate and select the appropriate assay in the actual operation,and facilitate the development of comprehensive approaches as well.Yuxi Lang Ningxuan Gao Zhihuan Zang Xianjun Meng Yang Lin Shufang Yang Yiyun Yang Zhufeng Jin Bin Li 2024Journal of Future Foods2024,4,3:0
15SNX6 predicts poor prognosis and contributes to the metastasis of pancreatic cancer cells via activating epithelial-mesenchymal transition显示文摘Pancreatic cancer remains a challenging disease with an overall cumulative 5-year survival rate around 6%.Though significant progress has been made in the availability of diagnostic techniques and treatment strategies,pancreatic cancer remains a disease of high mortality rate.Therefore, there is an urgent need for a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms that governs the oncogenesis and metastasis process of pancreatic cancer.In the present study,by using the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA)dataset analysis,we demonstrated that sorting nexin 6 (SNX6) serves as a biomarker for predicting prognosis of pancreatic cancer.In vitro studies demonstrated that silencing of SNX6 expression reduced cell proliferation,colony formation,invasion,and metastasis.Higher level of SNX6 helps maintain the mesenchymal properties,which renders migration and invasive capacities to pancreatic cancer cells.Moreover,in the process of TGF-β- induced epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT),the expression level of SNX6 was increased, and silencing of SNX6 expression could inhibit the TGF-β-induced EMT program.These results collectively uncovered a novel predictive marker for pancreatic cancer and provided the possible underlying molecular mechanism.Pengfei Hu Yun Liang Qiangsheng Hu Hongwei Wang Zhiwei Cai Jiaqi He Jianhua Cai Meng Liu Yi Qin Xianjun Yu Chongyi Jiang Bo Zhang Wei Wang 2018Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2018,50,11:0
