2Fission-track-age records of the Mesozoic tectonic-events in the southwest margin of the Ordos Basin, China显示文摘Based on the analysis of apatite and zircon fission track (FT), the FT age distribution and the peck-ages of the Mesozoic tectonic events in the southwest margin of the Ordos Basin (OB) were discussed. (1) The early event mainly occurred at 213-194 Ma with a peck-age of 205 Ma, and corresponded to the tectonic uplift and the mega-clastic deposit in the southwest OB during the Late Triassic. (2) The middle event included at least two episodes. One was at 165-141 Ma with a peck-age of 150 Ma, and the other was at 115-113 Ma with a peck-age of 114 Ma, corresponding to the over-thrusting and the mega- clastic deposits in the southwest OB during the Late Jurassic to the Early Cretaceous. (3) The late event mainly demonstrated the regional uplifting and included at least two episodes. One was at 100-81 Ma with a peck-age of 90 Ma, and the other was at 66-59 Ma with a peck-age of 63 Ma. 3Facile metagrating holograms with broadband and extreme angle tolerance显示文摘The emerging meta-holograms rely on arrays of intractable meta-atoms with various geometries and sizes for customized phase profiles that can precisely modulate the phase of a wavefront at an optimal incident angle for given wavelengths.The stringent and band-limited angle tolerance remains a fundamental obstacle for their practical application,in addition to high fabrication precision demands.Utilizing a different design principle,we determined that facile metagrating holograms based on extraordinary optical diffraction can allow the molding of arbitrary wavefronts with extreme angle tolerances(near-grazing incidence)in the visible–near-infrared regime.By modulating the displacements between uniformly sized meta-atoms rather than the geometrical parameters,the metagratings produce a robust detour phase profile that is irrespective of the wavelength or incident angle.The demonstration of high-fidelity meta-holograms and in-site polarization multiplexing significantly simplifies the metasurface design and lowers the fabrication demand,thereby opening new routes for flat optics with high performances and improved practicality.Zi-Lan Deng Junhong Deng Xin Zhuang Shuai Wang Tan Shi Guo Ping Wang Yao Wang Jian Xu Yaoyu Cao Xiaolei Wang Xing Cheng Guixin Li Xiangping Li 2018Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1:17
4Controlled preparation and characterization of nano-sized hexagonal Mg(OH)_2 flame retardant显示文摘Nano-sized hexagonal magnesium hydroxide(Mg(OH)_2) with good dispersibility was synthesized by a double injection-hydrothermal method,utilizing polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) as an additive and with optimized processing parameters.SEM and BET analysis showed that the mean particle size and specific surface area of the Mg(OH)_2 particles were 174 nm and 50.77 m^2/g,respectively.The FT-IR spectra and the XRD patterns showed that PVP was adsorbed on the surface of the Mg(OH)_2 crystal,thus effectively limiting particle agglomeration and hindering crystal growth along the(101) plane.TGA showed a decrease in the decomposition temperature and an increase in the weight loss of the Mg(OH)_2 particles due to addition of PVP.Huaxiong Fang Tao Zhou Xiangping Chen Simin Li Guangshan Shen Xiaoyan Liao 2014Particuology2014,12,3:10
5Near-perfect fidelity polarization-encoded multilayer optical data storage based on aligned gold nanorods显示文摘Encoding information in light polarization is of great importance in facilitating optical data storage(ODS)for information security and data storage capacity escalation.However,despite recent advances in nanophotonic techniques vastly en-hancing the feasibility of applying polarization channels,the data fidelity in reconstructed bits has been constrained by severe crosstalks occurring between varied polarization angles during data recording and reading process,which gravely hindered the utilization of this technique in practice.In this paper,we demonstrate an ultra-low crosstalk polarization-en-coding multilayer ODS technique for high-fidelity data recording and retrieving by utilizing a nanofibre-based nanocom-posite film involving highly aligned gold nanorods(GNRs).With parallelizing the gold nanorods in the recording medium,the information carrier configuration minimizes miswriting and misreading possibilities for information input and output,respectively,compared with its randomly self-assembled counterparts.The enhanced data accuracy has significantly im-proved the bit recall fidelity that is quantified by a correlation coefficient higher than 0.99.It is anticipated that the demon-strated technique can facilitate the development of multiplexing ODS for a greener future.Linwei Zhu Yaoyu Cao Qiuqun Chen Xu Ouyang Yi Xu Zhongliang Hu Jianrong Qiu Xiangping Li 2021Opto-Electronic Advances2021,4,11:9
6Speciation analysis of metals (Tl,Cd and Pb) in Tl-containing pyrite and its cinder from Yunfu Mine,China,by ICP-MS with sequential extraction显示文摘The speciation of heavy metals such as thallium,cadmium and lead existing in pyrite and pyrite cinder was analyzed by ICP-MS with a sequential extraction procedure.The distribution patterns of these metals including exchangeable,reducible,oxidizable and residual fractions were obtained.Tl,Cd and Pb in pyrite and pyrite cinder samples from each extraction step were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS).Under the optimized instrumental conditions,detection limits of Tl,Cd and Pb in different matrices were within the range of 0.006-0.07 μg/L,and the relative standard deviations ranged from 0.8% to 1.2%.The accuracy of Tl,Cd and Pb determination was checked by analyzing two certified reference materials.The results demonstrate that trace Tl,Cd and Pb in the samples can be accurately determined.The sequential extraction results revealed that the percent contents of Tl,Cd and Pb in exchangeable,reducible and oxidizable fractions in pyrite cinder are different from those in pyrite and in pyrite cinder.Tl,Cd and Pb mostly are distributed in residual fraction.Therefore,the mobility of metals in pyrite is higher than that in pyrite cinder.Although distributions of Tl,Cd and Pb in the non-residual fraction are not dominant in pyrite cinder,the total concentrations of them could not be ignored.Consequently,attention must be paid to the risk of potential pollution by pyrite cinder.WANG Chunlin CHEN Yongheng PAN Jianyang ZHANG Ping QI Jianying LIU Juan LI Xiangping WANG Jin 2010Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2010,29,1:9
7Arbitrary polarization conversion dichroism metasurfaces for all-in-one full Poincare sphere polarizers显示文摘The control of polarization,an essential property of light,is of broad scientific and technological interest.Polarizers are indispensable optical elements for direct polarization generation.However,arbitrary polarization generation,except that of common linear and circular polarization,relies heavily on bulky optical components such as cascading linear polarizers and waveplates.Here,we present an effective strategy for designing all-in-one full Poincare sphere polarizers based on perfect arbitrary polarization conversion dichroism and implement it in a monolayer all-dielectric metasurface.This strategy allows preferential transmission and conversion of one polarization state located at an arbitrary position on the Poincare sphere to its handedness-flipped state while completely blocking its orthogonal state.In contrast to previous methods that were limited to only linear or circular polarization,our method manifests perfect dichroism of nearly 100%in theory and greater than 90%experimentally for arbitrary polarization states.By leveraging this attractive dichroism,our demonstration of the generation of polarization beams located at an arbitrary position on a Poincare sphere directly from unpolarized light can substantially extend the scope of meta-optics and dramatically promote state-of-the-art nanophotonic devices.Shuai Wang Zi-Lan Deng Yujie Wang Qingbin Zhou Xiaolei Wang Yaoyu Cao Bai-Ou Guan Shumin Xiao Xiangping Li 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,2:6
8Comparative investigation of three types of ethanol sensor based on NiO-SnO_2 composite nanofibers显示文摘NiO-SnO2 composite nanofibers were synthesized via electrospinning techniques and characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.Three types of sensor were applied to investigate the sensing properties of these nanofibers.Sensors A were fabricated by mixing the nanofibers with deionized water,and then grinding and coating them on ceramic tubes to form indirect heated gas sensors.Microsensors B(with an area of 600 μm×200 μm) were formed by spinning nanofibers on Si substrates with Pt signal electrodes and Pt heaters.Sensors C were fabricated by spinning nanofibers on plane ceramic substrates(with a large area of 13.4 mm×7 mm) with Ag-Pd signal electrodes only.The operating temperatures of sensors A and B were controlled by adjusting heater currents,and the operating temperatures of sensors C were controlled by adjusting an external temperature control device.Experimental results show that sensors C possess the highest sensing properties,such as high response values(about 42 to 100 μL/L ethanol),quick response/recovery speeds(the response and recovery times were 4 and 7 s,respectively),and excellent consistencies.These phenomena were explained by the retained fiber morphology and suitable sensor area.The presented results can provide some useful information for the design and optimization of one-dimensional nanomaterial-based gas sensors.SHEN RenSheng LI XiangPing XIA XiaoChuan LIANG HongWei WU GuoGuang LIU Yang CHENG ChuanHui DU GuoTong 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,17:5
9Band structure engineering in metal halide perovskite nanostructures for optoelectronic applications显示文摘Metal halide perovskite nanostructures have emerged as low-dimensional semiconductors of great significance in many fields such as photovoltaics,photonics,and optoelectronics.Extensive efforts on the controlled synthesis of perovskite nanostructures have been made towards potential device applications.The engineering of their band structures holds great promise in the rational tuning of the electronic and optical properties of perovskite nanostructures,which is one of the keys to achieving efficient and multifunctional optoelectronic devices.In this article,we summarize recent advances in band structure engineering of perovskite nanostructures.A survey of bandgap engineering of nanostructured perovskites is firstly presented from the aspects of dimensionality tailoring,compositional substitution,phase segregation and transition,as well as strain and pressure stimuli.The strategies of electronic doping are then reviewed,including defect-induced self-doping,inorganic or organic molecules-based chemical doping,and modification by metal ions or nanostructures.Based on the bandgap engineering and electronic doping,discussions on engineering energy band alignments in perovskite nanostructures are provided for building high-performance perovskite p-n junctions and heterostructures.At last,we provide our perspectives in engineering band structures of perovskite nanostructures towards future low-energy optoelectronics technologies.Qingdong Ou Xiaozhi Bao Yinan Zhang Huaiyu Shao Guichuan Xing Xiangping Li Liyang Shao Qiaoliang Bao 2019Nano Materials Science2019,1,4:5
10CO_2 absorption with ionic liquids at elevated temperatures显示文摘CO_2 capture with ionic liquids(ILs) has attracted many attentions, and most works focused on absorption ability at ambient temperatures, while seldom research was concerned at elevated temperatures.This not only limits the CO_2 absorption application at elevated temperature, but also the determination of the operation condition of the CO_2 desorption generally occurring at higher temperature. This work mainly reported CO_2 solubilities in ILs at elevated temperatures and related properties were also provided. 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide([CnMIm][Tf_2N]) ILs were selected as physical absorbents for CO_2 capture in this work due to their relative higher CO_2 absorption capacities and good thermal stabilities. The long-term stability tests showed that [CnMIm][Tf_2N] is thermally stable at 393.15 K for long time. CO_2 solubilities in [CnMIm][Tf_2N] were systematically determined at temperatures from 353.15 K to 393.15 K. It demonstrated that CO_2 solubility obviously increases with the increase of pressure while slightly decreases with increase of temperature. As the length of alkyl chain on the cation increases, CO_2 solubility in ILs increases. 11Multifunctional metasurface:from extraordinary optical transmission to extraordinary optical diffraction in a single structure显示文摘We show that a metasurface composed of a subwavelength metallic slit array embedded in an asymmetric dielectric environment can exhibit either extraordinary optical transmission(EOT) or extraordinary optical diffraction(EOD). The cascaded refractive indices of the dielectrics can leverage multiple decaying passages into variant subsections with different diffraction order combinations according to the diffraction order chart in the k-vector space, providing a flexible mean to tailor resonance decaying pathways of the metallic slit cavity mode by changing the wavevector of the incident light. As a result, either the zeroth transmission or-1 st reflection efficiencies can be enhanced to near unity by the excitation of the localized slit cavity mode, leading to either EOT or EOD in a single structure, depending on the illumination angle. Based on this appealing feature, a multifunctional metasurface that can switch its functionality between transmission filter, mirror, and off-axis lens is demonstrated. 12Dual-shot dynamics and ultimate frequency of all-optical magnetic recording on GdFeCo显示文摘Although photonics presents the fastest and most energy-efficient method of data transfer,magnetism still offers the cheapest and most natural way to store data.The ultrafast and energy-efficient optical control of magnetism is presently a missing technological link that prevents us from reaching the next evolution in information processing.The discovery of all-optical magnetization reversal in GdFeCo with the help of 100fs laser pulses has further aroused intense interest in this compelling problem.Although the applicability of this approach to high-speed data processing depends vitally on the maximum repetition rate of the switching,the latter remains virtually unknown.Here we experimentally unveil the ultimate frequency of repetitive all-optical magnetization reversal through time-resolved studies of the dual-shot magnetization dynamics in Gd27 Fe63.87 C09.T3.Varying the intensities of the shots and the shotto-shot separation,we reveal the conditions for ultrafast writing and the fastest possible restoration of magnetic bits.It is shown that although magnetic writing launched by the first shot is completed after 100 ps,a reliable rewriting of the bit by the second shot requires separating the shots by at least 300 ps.Using two shots partially overlapping in space and minimally separated by 300 ps,we demonstrate an approach for GHz magnetic writing that can be scaled down to sizes below the diffraction limit.Sicong Wang Chen Wei\Yuanhua Feng Hongkun Cao Wenzhe Li Yaoyu Cao Bai-Ou Guan Arata Tsukamoto Andrei Kirilyuk Alexey VKimel Xiangping Li 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,1:3
13Altitudinal patterns of stand structure and herb layer diversity of Picea schrenkiana forests in the central Tianshan Mountains,Northwest China显示文摘Altitude is a useful indicator to examine patterns of forest structure and species diversity in relation to environmental factors.In this study,the altitude patterns of forest stand structure and species diversity were analyzed across 20 plots in the Tianchi Nature Reserve,Northwest China.The results showed that mean stem height(Hm),maximum stem height(Hmax) and mean stem diameter at breast height(Dm) of Picea schrenkiana trees all decreased significantly with increasing altitude.Potential tree height(H*) decreased while stem taper increased significantly as altitude increased,suggesting remarkable altitudinal changes in biomass allocation between the diameter and height growth of Picea schrenkiana.Understory herbaceous richness increased significantly with increasing altitude,or with decreasing total basal area(TBA),Hm and stand volume(Volume).High light availability for understory herbs might account for the higher species richness at high altitude.Sorensen Index decreased significantly with the increase in altitude intervals,while the Cody Index demonstrated a converse pattern,suggesting greater differences in species composition with larger distances.LiPing LI XiangPing WANG Stefan ZERBE LiYun ZHANG JingYun FANG 2011Journal of Arid Land2011,3,4:3
14Cylindrical vector beams reveal radiationless anapole condition in a resonant state显示文摘Nonscattering optical anapole condition is corresponding to the excitation of radiationless field distributions in open resonators,which offers new degrees of freedom for tailoring light-matter interaction.Conventional mechanisms for achieving such a condition relies on sophisticated manipulation of electromagnetic multipolar moments of all orders to guarantee superpositions of suppressed moment strengths at the same wavelength.In contrast,here we report on the excitation of optical radiationless anapole hidden in a resonant state of a Si nanoparticle utilizing a tightly focused radially polarized(RP)beam.The coexistence of magnetic resonant state and anapole condition at the same wavelength further enables the triggering of resonant state by a tightly focused azimuthally polarized(AP)beam whose corresponding electric multipole coefficient could be zero.As a result,high contrast inter-transition between radiationless anapole condition and ideal magnetic resonant scattering can be achieved experimentally in visible spectrum.The proposed mechanism is general which can be realized in different types of nanostructures.Our results showcase that the unique combination of structured light and structured Mie resonances could provide new degrees of freedom for tailoring light-matter interaction,which might shed new light on functional meta-optics.Yudong Lu Yi Xu Xu Ouyang Mingcong Xian Yaoyu Cao Kai Chen Xiangping Li 2022Opto-Electronic Advances2022,5,4:3

17Atacamite and Nantokite in Kaerqueka Copper Deposit of Qimantag Area:Evidence for Cenozoic Climate Evolution of the Qaidam Basin显示文摘Using a mineralogy method to reflect climate evolution is a new approach to research Cenozoic environmental progression of the Qaidam Basin. In this paper, we present the chemical composition and crystallographic parameter of atacamite, nantokite, and tenorite in cryptocrystalline aggregates from the Kaerqueka copper deposit of Qimantag metallogenic belt by means of electron microprobe and in-situ X-ray diffraction analyses. Atacamite and nantokite occur in an intimate intergrowth as the secondary precipitation of chalcopyrite and bornite filling in the interstitial space of andradite in the Kaerqueka copper deposit, with an average composition of Cl: 12.38 wt.%, Cu: 63.76 wt.%, O: 21.46 wt.%. X-ray microdiffraction shows that the intergrowth contains nantokite with a cubic unit cell a=5.403(2) ? and atacamite with an orthorhombic unit cell a=6.030(3), b=6.883(2), c=9.114(1) ?. XRD quantitative calculation shows that the nanometric aggregate contains 36.07 wt.% tenorite, 18.41 wt.% atacamite, and 45.52 wt.% nantokite. The presence of nantokite and atacamite requires saline solutions for their formation and hyper-arid climate conditions for their preservation. Combined with the data of salt lakes and the pollen sequence of western China, we suggest that during the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the retreat of the Paratethys, saline water was forced to the surface through a basal fracture zone. In the hyper-arid climate of the Qaidam Basin, the recharge of groundwater by direct precipitation is negligible, and groundwater is derived from inflow from the salt lakes. Thus, atacamite is preserved.
