Optimal electroacupuncture frequency for maintaining astrocyte structural integrity in cerebral ischemia显示文摘The astrocyte is a critical regulator of neuronal survival after ischemic brain injury. Electroacupuncture may be an effective therapy for cerebral ischemia, as electroacupuncture frequency can affect the structural integrity of astrocytes. In this study, a rat model of middle cerebral artery occlusion established using the modified thread embolism method was treated with electroacupuncture of the bilateral Quchi (LI11) and Zusanli (ST36) at 15, 30, and 100 Hz frequencies. Behavioral testing, immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy were used to explore the effect of these electroacupuncture frequencies used on maintaining the structural integrity of ischemic brain tissue. Compared with the model and 100 Hz electroacupuncture groups, the 15 and 30 Hz electroacupuncture groups displayed decreased neurological deficit scores, as evaluated by the 'Longa' method, significantly increased glial fibrillary acidic protein expression, and alleviated ultrastructural damage of astrocytes at the edge of the infarct. Our experimental findings indicate that 15 and 30 Hz electroacupuncture intervention can favorably maintain the structural integrity of astrocytes and play a protective role in cerebral ischemic injury. Astrocyte structural integrity may be the mechanism underlying acupuncture production of ischemic tolerance. | Yicai Xiao Xingui Wu Xiangfa Deng Liping Huang Yuancheng Zhou Xuejie Yang | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,12: | 14
Association of KIR Genotypes and Haplotypes with Susceptibility to Chronic Hepatitis B Virus Infection in Chinese Han Population显示文摘Killer immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) genes can regulate the activation of NK and T cells upon interaction with HLA class I molecules. Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection has been regarded as a multi-factorial disorder disease. Previous studies revealed that KIRs were involved in HCV and HIV infection or clearance. The aim of this study was to explore the possibility of the inheritance of KIR genotypes and haplotypes as a candidate for susceptibility to persistent HBV infection or HBV clearance. The sequence specific primer polymerase chain reaction (SSP-PCR) was employed to identify the KIR genes and pseudogenes in 150 chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients, 251 spontaneously recovered (SR) controls, and 412 healthy controls. The frequencies of genotype G, M, FZ1 increased in CHB patients compared with healthy control subjects. The frequency of genotype AH was higher in SR controls than that in both CHB patients and healthy controls. The carriage frequencies of genotype G and AH were higher; while, the frequencies of AF and AJ were lower in SR controls than those in healthy control subjects. The frequency of A haplotype was lower, whereas, the frequency of B haplotype was higher in CHB patients and SR controls than those in healthy controls. In healthy controls, haplotype 4 was found lower compared with that in CHB patients and SR controls and the frequency of haplotype 5 was higher in SR controls than that in other two groups. Based on these findings, it seems that the genotypes M and FZ1 are HBV susceptive genotypes; AH, on the other hand, may be protective genotypes that facilitate the clearance of HBV. It appears that the haplotype 4 is HBV susceptive haplotype, whereas, haplotype 5 may be the protective haplotype that facilitates the clearance of HBV. | Zhiming Lu Bingchang Zhang Shijun Chen Zhongtao Gai Zhaolei Feng Xiangdong Liu Yiqing Liu Xin Wen Li Li Yulian Jiao Chunyan Ma Song Shao Xiangfa Cui Guojian Chen Jianfeng Li Yneran Zhao | 2008 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2008,5,6: | 13
Al-Si-P master alloy and its modification and refinement performance on Al-Si alloys显示文摘An Al-Si-P master alloy has been developed by an in-situ reaction and the electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA) results show that there are many pre-formed AlP particles contained in the master alloy. Silicon introduced into the system plays an important role in remarkably improving the distribution and content of AlP particles due to their similar crystal structure and lattice parameters. ZL109 alloys have shown fast modification response to the addition of 0.5% Al-15Si-3.5P master alloy at 720°C, with a mass of primary Si precipitating in size of about 15 μm. Also, coarse primary Si grains in Al-30Si alloy can be refined dramatically from 150 μm to 37 μm after the addition of 2.0% Al-15Si-3.5P master alloy at 850°C. The P recovery of the Al-15Si-3.5P master alloy is much higher than that of a Cu-8.5P master alloy due to the pre-formed AlP particles. | ZUO Min LIU Xiangfa DAI Hongshang LIU Xiangjun | 2009 | Rare Metals2009,28,4: | 11
Effects of individual and combined additions of phosphorus, boron and cerium on primary and eutectic silicon in an Al-30Si alloy显示文摘The modification of silicon in an Al-30Si alloy was studied using optical microscopy, electron probe micro-analysis, transmission electron microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. It is found that phosphorus master alloys combined with boron master alloys have good modification effect on primary silicon but no evident modification effect on eutectic silicon, while boron combined with cerium has good modification effect on eutectic silicon. The results of differential scanning calorimetry show that phosphorus, boron or cerium addition and their combined addition have different undercooling effects on eutectic silicon. Many scholars thought that AlP particles were the nuclei of eutectic silicon when phosphorus was enough in the alloy. Our results show that β-(Al,Si,Fe) can still be the nucleus of plate-like eutectic silicon while AlP is the nucleus of primary silicon when there is enough phosphorus in the melt. In addition, the mechanism about the modification was also discussed. | DAI Hongshang LIU Xiangfa | 2009 | Rare Metals2009,28,6: | 9

Influence of C/Ti stoichiometry in TiC_x on the grain refinement efficiency of Al–Ti–C master alloy显示文摘TiC_x contained Al–Ti–C is a kind of grain refiner for Al alloys. In this work, the influence of C/Ti stoichiometry, i.e. the x value in TiC_x on grain refinement efficiency was investigated. TiC_x particles have been obtained in five Al–5Ti–m C(m = 0.1, 0.5, 0.8, 1, 1.25) master alloys and the x values were measured to be0.72, 0.75, 0.79, 0.81 and 0.8, respectively. It was found that the refinement performance of the master alloys had a close relationship with the x value of TiC_x . The Al–5Ti–m C alloy with lower-x TiC_x shows better refinement efficiency and anti-fading capability. It is supposed that TiC_x particles with lower x are more preferred to release Ti atoms during nucleating process and have a better Ti-absorbing capability. This contributes to the Ti-rich zone formation at TiC_x /melt interface, thus enhancing the refinement and anti-fading capability. | Huabing Yang Tong Gao Haichao Wang Jinfeng Nie Xiangfa Liu | 2017 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2017,33,7: | 6
Role of C and Fe in Grain Magnesium Alloy by Al-C Refinement of an AZ63B Master Alloy显示文摘In this study, grain refining effect of AI-1.5C master alloy was examined on an AZ63B magnesium alloy, and therefining mechanism was studied through investigating the role of C and Fe in this process. The results show thataddition of AI-1.5C master alloy leads to significant decrease of the mean grain size from about 270 μm to 50 μmat the center of the AZ63 alloy ingot. Grain refinement by carbon addition is mainly due to the heterogeneitynucleation on the AI-, C-, O-, Fe- and Mn-rich particles, but not constitutional undercooling caused by the carbonsolute element. Fe plays an important role in the formation of the nucleating particles, but not acts as an inhibitingelement. | Yichuan PAN+, Xiangfa LIU and Hua YANG Key Laboratory of Liquid Structure and Heredity of Materials, Ministry of Education, Shandong University,Jinan 250061, China | 2005 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2005,21,6: | 5
Eutectic nucleation in Al-25wt.% Si alloy through DSC显示文摘Eutectic nucleation in hypereutectic Al-25wt.%Si alloy with the addition of P was studied by calculating the activation energy and nucleation work. The results indicate that P refinement, which can decrease the activation energy as well as nucleation work of eutectic solidification, can increase the eutectic nucleation frequency of Al-25wt.%Si alloy, so the addition of P can refine the eutectic structures of hypereutectic Al-Si alloys. According to the calculations, there is a certain relationship between the precipitation of primary silicon and eutectic solidification, and the eutectic nucleation mode is independent of morphology transition. | WU Yuying LIU Xiangfa JIANG Binggang HUANG Chuanzhen | 2010 | Rare Metals2010,29,1: | 5
THREE-DIMENSIONAL ELLIPTIC CRACK UNDER IMPACT LOADING显示文摘The dynamic stress intensity factor of a three-dimensional elliptic crack under impact loadingis determined with the finite element method. The computation results can take into account the influence oftime and the ratio of the wave speeds on the stress intensity factor. The present method is suitable not onlyfor three-dimensional dynamic crack, but also for three-dimensional dynamic contact. | Sun Zhufeng Wu Xiangfa Fan Tianyou | 2001 | Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2001,14,4: | 4
Influence of Deformation on the Microstructure and Low-temperature Refining Behavior of Al-3.5P Master Alloy显示文摘In this paper, the influence of deformation on the microstructure and low-temperature refining behavior of Al-3.5P master alloy was investigated. The results show that the average size of AIP particles can be reduced obviously from 15.3 μm to about 2.1 μm by deformation. However,it exhibits entirely opposite influence on refining performance when A1-3.5P master alloy was deformed at room temperature and high temperature, respectively.Only when Al-3.5P master alloy was subjected to thermal deformation, can an improvement of low-temperature refining performance be obtained. In this condition, primary Si in A390 alloy can be refined from 137 to 21 μm,making it a potential candidate for die casting production.A mechanism associated with the transformation of particle-matrix interface during deformation has been proposed and further experiment has been designed to validate it. | Huan Qiao Xiangzhen Zhu Tong Gao Yuying Wu Xiangfa Liu | 2015 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,4: | 3
A novel heat-resistant Al–Si–Cu–Ni–Mg base material synergistically strengthened by Ni-rich intermetallics and nano-AlN_p microskeletons显示文摘In this work, nano-AlN particle(nano-AlN_p) microskeletons were introduced into an Al–Si–Cu–Ni–Mg alloy by Al–8 AlN master alloy in which the nano-AlN_p reinforcements connect with each other to form three-dimensional networks. It is found that these nano-AlN_p microskeletons mainly distribute in the binary Al–Si eutectic zones resulting in flaky eutectic Si phases being modified to particulates. Meanwhile, the microskeletons strengthen the matrix synergistically with semi-continuous Ni-rich intermetallics in three dimensions. The tensile mechanical properties, micro-hardness and thermal expansion properties of the alloy at different temperatures are significantly improved. Especially, the ultimate tensile strength(UTS) at 350℃ increases from 85MPa to 106MPa, rising by 24.7%, which is ascribed to nano-AlN_p microskeletons assisting intermetallics with undertaking mechanical loading, and to the modification of eutectic Si phases to reduce the stress concentration at elevated temperatures. | Kaiqi Hu Qingfei Xu Xia Ma Qianqian Sun Tong Gao Xiangfa Liu | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,3: | 3
Morphologically templated nucleation of primary Si on AlP in hypereutectic Al-Si alloys显示文摘AlP has been widely used as an effective heterogenous nucleus for primary Si phase in hypereutectic AlSi alloys, but the morphological correlation between AlP and primary Si is still confusing. In the present work, the morphologies of AlP crystals were studied comprehensively by experimental observation and theorical prediction. It is found that AlP collected from an Al-0.03 P melt could be divided into two categories:spinel twin crystals and non-twin crystals.During the nucleation process, these two kinds of AlP crystals triggered morphologically templated nucleation of primary Si phase, resulting in the formation of hexagonal primary Si twin and octahedral non-twin crystals, respectively. As such, the percentage of primary Si twin crystals in the experimental Al-18 Si alloy was also increased obviously after the morphologically templated nucleation via Al P.The morphologically templated nucleation also eliminated the dendritic growth of primary Si phase and the formation of hopper structures inside primary Si,forcing primary Si to maintain to be faceted solid crystals through layer-by-layer growing mechanism. The insight into morphologically templated nucleation offers a new view in understanding the mechanism of heterogeneous nucleation of primary Si phase on AlP nuclei. | Xiangzhen Zhu Shihao Wang Xixi Dong Xiangfa Liu Shouxun Ji | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,5: | 2

Enhanced age-hardening behavior in Al–Cu alloys induced by in-situ synthesized TiC nanoparticles显示文摘The influence of in-situ synthesized TiC nanoparticles on age-hardening behavior of Al–Cu alloys was investigated in Al–4.5 Cu–1.5 TiC alloy. It was found that TiC nanoparticles decrease the peak-age time effectively, from about 20 h for Al–4.5 Cu alloy decreasing to about 12 h for the Al–4.5 Cu–1.5 TiC. Mechanical property test shows that the age-hardening effect has been improved by the TiC nanoparticles. The increment of yield strength before and after aging is about 84 MPa for Al–4.5 Cu, while, it reaches to about113 MPa for the Al–4.5 Cu–1.5 TiC. After aging heat treatment, precipitates have been observed both in matrix and around TiC nanoparticles. Due to the difference of coefficient of thermal expansion between TiC and Al, high density dislocations in the Al–4.5 Cu–1.5 TiC were generated during water quenching after solution. Dislocations play a role of diffusion path for Cu atoms during aging, which reduces the peak-age time. Alpha-Al lattice distortion resulted from lattice mismatch of TiC/Al interface induces the precipitation of θ' phase around TiC nanoparticles, which increases the number density of θ' and improves the age-hardening effect. This finding is supposed to be also applicable to alloy systems of Al–Cu–Mg,Al–Cu–Mg–Li, Al–Cu–Mg–Ag, etc. | Huabing Yang Tong Gao Huaning Zhang Jinfeng Nie Xiangfa Liu | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,3: | 2

Instability of TiC and TiAl3 compounds in Al-10Mg and Al-5Cu alloys by addition of Al-Ti-C master alloy显示文摘The performance of Al-Ti-C master alloy in refining Al-10Mg and Al-5Cu alloys was studied by using electron probe mi-cro-analyzer (EPMA) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD) analysis. The results indicate that there are obvious fading phenomena in bothAl-10Mg and Al-5Cu alloys with the addition of Al-5Ti-0.4C refiner which contains TiC and TiAl3 compounds. Mg element has noinfluence on the stability of TiC and TiAl3, while TiC particles in Al-10Mg alloy react with Al to form Al4C3 particles, resulting in therefinement fading. However, TiC particles are relatively stable in Al-5Cu alloy, while TiAl3 phase reacts with Al2Cu to produce a newphase Ti(Al, Cu)2, which is responsible for the refinement fading in Al-5Cu alloy. These indicate that the refinement fading will notoccur only when both the TiC particles and TiAl3 compound of Al-Ti-C refiner are stable in Al alloys. | Lina Yu Xiangfa Liu Zhenqing Wang Jianwen Liu | 2006 | Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2006,13,2: | 1
