| 1 | Component analysis of Chinese medicine and advances in fuming-washing therapy for knee osteoarthritis via unsupervised data mining methods显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To analyze the component law of Chinese medicines in fuming-washing therapy for knee osteoarthritis(KOA), and develop new fuming-washing prescriptions for KOA through unsupervised data mining methods.METHODS: Chinese medicine recipes for fuming-washing therapy for KOA were collected and recorded in a database. The correlation coefficient among herbs, core combinations of herbs, andnew prescriptions were analyzed using modified mutual information, complex system entropy cluster, and unsupervised hierarchical clustering, respectively.RESULTS: Based on analysis of 345 Chinese medicine recipes for fuming-washing therapy, 68 herbs occurred frequently, 33 herb pairs occurred frequently, and 12 core combinations were found.Five new fuming-washing recipes for KOA were developed.CONCLUSION: Chinese medicines for fuming-washing therapy of KOA mainly consist of wind-dampness-dispelling and cold-dispersing herbs, blood-activating and stasis-resolving herbs,and wind-dampness-dispelling and heat-clearing herbs. The treatment of fuming-washing therapy for KOA also includes dispelling wind-dampness and dispersing cold, activating blood and resolving stasis, and dispelling wind-dampness and clearing heat. | 2 | Interplay between Kitaev interaction and single ion anisotropy in ferromagnetic CrI_(3) and CrGeTe_(3) monolayers显示文摘Magnetic anisotropy is crucially important for the stabilization of two-dimensional(2D)magnetism,which is rare in nature but highly desirable in spintronics and for advancing fundamental knowledge.Recent works on CrI3 and CrGeTe_(3) monolayers not only led to observations of the long-time-sought 2D ferromagnetism,but also revealed distinct magnetic anisotropy in the two systems,namely Ising behavior for CrI3 versus Heisenberg behavior for CrGeTe_(3).Such magnetic difference strongly contrasts with structural and electronic similarities of these two materials,and understanding it at a microscopic scale should be of large benefits.Here,firstprinciples calculations are performed and analyzed to develop a simple Hamiltonian,to investigate magnetic anisotropy of CrI3 and CrGeTe_(3) monolayers.The anisotropic exchange coupling in both systems is surprisingly determined to be of Kitaev-type.Moreover,the interplay between this Kitaev interaction and single ion anisotropy(SIA)is found to naturally explain the different magnetic behaviors of CrI3 and CrGeTe_(3).Finally,both the Kitaev interaction and SIA are further found to be induced by spin–orbit coupling of the heavy ligands(I of CrI3 or Te of CrGeTe_(3))rather than the commonly believed 3d magnetic Cr ions. | Changsong Xu Junsheng Feng Hongjun Xiang Laurent Bellaiche | 2018 | npj Computational Materials2018,,1: | 10 |

| 4 | Genetic analysis of fertility restoring genes for AL-type male sterility in wheat显示文摘In order to screen molecular markers linked to fertility restoring genes and further improve the breeding efficiency of restorer lines,in this study,wheat varieties 18A,18B and 99AR144-1 were used as experimental materials to establish F2 fertility-segregating population. Plant quantitative trait'major gene + polygene mixed model'separation analysis method and simple sequence repeat(SSR) molecular markers were adopted for genetic analysis of four generations,including the parents(P1 and P2),and hybrid(Fl and F2) populations. The results show that AL-type fertility restoring gene is controlled by two pairs of additive-dominant-epistatic genes and additive-dominant polygene;two primers linked to fertility restoring genes were selected by SSR molecular markers, including Xgwm95 on chromosome 2A and Barc61 on chromosome 1B,with the linkage distance of 15.0 cM and 18.0 cM,respectively. | 6 | Dissection of heterosis for yield and related traits using populations derived from introgression lines in rice显示文摘Despite the great success achieved by the exploitation of heterosis in rice,the genetic basis of heterosis is still not well understood.We adopted an advanced-backcross breeding strategy to dissect the genetic basis of heterosis for yield and eight related traits.Four testcross(TC) populations with 228 testcross F1 combinations were developed by crossing57 introgression lines with four types of widely used male sterile lines using a North Carolina II mating design.Analysis of variance indicated that the effects of testcross F1 combinations and their parents were significant or highly significant for most of the traits in both years,and all interaction effects with year were significant for most of the traits.Positive midparent heterosis(HMP) was observed for most traits in the four TC populations in the two years.The relative HMPlevels for most traits varied from highly negative to highly positive.Sixty-two dominant-effect QTL were identified for HMPof the nine traits in the four TC populations in the two years.Of these,22 QTL were also identified for the performance of testcross F1.Most dominant-effect QTL could individually explain more than 10% of the phenotypic variation.Four QTL clusters were observed including the region surrounding the RM9–RM297 region on chromosome 1,the RM110–RM279–RM8–RM5699–RM452 region on chromosome 2,the RM5463 locus on chromosome 6 and the RM1146–RM147 region on chromosome 10.The identified QTL for heterosis provide valuable information for dissecting the genetic basis of heterosis. | Chao Xiang Hongjun Zhang Hui Wang Shaobo Wei Binying Fu Jiafa Xia Zefu Li Yongming Gao Guoyou Ye | 2016 | The Crop Journal2016,4,6: | 3 |
| 7 | Multi-objective Dynamic Reconfiguration for Urban Distribution Network Considering Multi-level Switching Modes显示文摘The increasing integration of photovoltaic generators(PVGs) and the uneven economic development in different regions may cause the unbalanced spatial-temporal distribution of load demands in an urban distribution network(UDN). This may lead to undesired consequences, including PVG curtailment, load shedding, and equipment inefficiency, etc. Global dynamic reconfiguration provides a promising method to solve those challenges. However, the power flow transfer capabilities for different kinds of switches are diverse, and the willingness of distribution system operators(DSOs) to select them is also different. In this paper, we formulate a multi-objective dynamic reconfiguration optimization model suitable for multi-level switching modes to minimize the operation cost, load imbalance, and the PVG curtailment. The multi-level switching includes feeder-level switching, transformer-level switching, and substation-level switching. A novel load balancing index is devised to quantify the global load balancing degree at different levels. Then, a stochastic programming model based on selected scenarios is established to address the uncertainties of PVGs and loads. Afterward, the fuzzy c-means(FCMs) clustering is applied to divide the time periods of reconfiguration. Furthermore, the modified binary particle swarm optimization(BPSO)and Cplex solver are combined to solve the proposed mixed-integer second-order cone programming(MISOCP) model.
