1Rule-based Fault Diagnosis of Hall Sensors and Fault-tolerant Control of PMSM显示文摘Hall sensor is widely used for estimating rotor phase of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM). And rotor position is an essential parameter of PMSM control algorithm, hence it is very dangerous if Hall senor faults occur. But there is scarcely any research focusing on fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control of Hall sensor used in PMSM. From this standpoint, the Hall sensor faults which may occur during the PMSM operating are theoretically analyzed. According to the analysis results, the fault diagnosis algorithm of Hall sensor, which is based on three rules, is proposed to classify the fault phenomena accurately. The rotor phase estimation algorithms, based on one or two Hall sensor(s), are initialized to engender the fault-tolerant control algorithm. The fault diagnosis algorithm can detect 60 Hall fault phenomena in total as well as all detections can be fulfilled in 1/138 rotor rotation period. The fault-tolerant control algorithm can achieve a smooth torque production which means the same control effect as normal control mode (with three Hall sensors). Finally, the PMSM bench test verifies the accuracy and rapidity of fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control strategies. The fault diagnosis algorithm can detect all Hall sensor faults promptly and fault-tolerant control algorithm allows the PMSM to face failure conditions of one or two Hall sensor(s). In addition, the transitions between health-control and fault-tolerant control conditions are smooth without any additional noise and harshness. 2Evolution Stages of Oasis Economy and Its Dependence on Natural Resources in Tarim River Basin显示文摘This paper examines spatio-temporal characteristics of an oasis economy and its relationship with water and mineral resources in the Tarim River Basin from 1965 to 2005. A spatial autocorrelation model, the center of gravity model, and index system of the regional central city are used to probe the evolution laws of spatial structure of oasis economy. The study finds that: 1) The economic centre of gravity, whose variation track during this period follows linear rate law, was moving from headstream to middle reaches of the Tarim River. 2) Positive spatial autocorrelation which showed a waving and ascending trend of regional economy was significant and the neighbor effect of regional economic growth was strengthened continuously. 3) The regional economic centre was located in Hotan City before 1980, moved to Aksu City during the 1980s and to Korla City after 1990. We conclude that above all, during the recent four decades the evolution of the oasis economy in this region has gone through three stages: a traditional agriculture stage (before 1980), oasis agriculture and agricultural product processing stage (1980–1990) and oasis energy industry stage (after 1990). Furthermore, the dependence degree of the oasis economy on natural resources in different stages are studied by using dominance index, regression model, and grey relation method, which shows that an oasis econ- omy highly depends on water resources in the oasis agriculture and agricultural product processing stage while it de- pends more on mineral resources such as oil and natural gas during the oasis energy industry stage.QIAO Xuning YANG Degang ZHANG Xinhuan 2009Chinese Geographical Science2009,19,2:8
3Progress review of US-China joint research on advanced technologies for plug-in electric vehicles显示文摘The United States and China are the world's largest automobile markets and oil consumers, and both face a severe challenge to conserve energy and reduce tailpipe emissions. Thus, both countries urgently need to transform conventional internal combustion engines to electrified powertrains. Targeting the advanced core technologies of plug-in electric vehicles(PEVs), a joint research collaboration between China and the US, called the 'Clean Vehicle Consortium'(CVC), was set up in 2010. Six years of collaboration on PEV technologies has resulted in significant progress in three technical areas. Based on CVC publications,we review herein the progress made by the CVC research efforts on three key advanced PEV technologies. This includes the development of a safe battery with an energy density of 260 W h kg^(-1) and a systematic method for designing safe traction battery systems. Thus, a breakthrough in high power density and efficient traction motor systems has occurred. In addition to discussing advanced electric-drive powertrains, we also discuss global energy management strategies that aim to improve PEV energy efficiency. 4Internal short circuit evaluation and corresponding failure mode analysis for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Internal short circuit(ISC)is the major failure problem for the safe application of lithium-ion batteries,especially for the batteries with high energy density.However,how to quantify the hazard aroused by the ISC,and what kinds of ISC will lead to thermal runaway are still unclear.This paper investigates the thermal-electrical coupled behaviors of ISC,using batteries with Li(Ni_(1/3)CO_(1/3)Mn_(1/3))O_(2) cathode and composite separator.The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of customized battery that has no LiPF6 salt is utilized to standardize the resistance of ISC.Furthermore,this paper compares the thermal-electrical coupled behaviors of the above four types of ISC at different states-of-charge.There is an area expansion phenomenon for the aluminum-anode type of ISC.The expansion effect of the failure area directly links to the melting and collapse of separator,and plays an important role in further evolution of thermal runaway.This work provides guidance to the development of the ISC models,detection algorithms,and correlated countermeasures.Lishuo Liu Xuning Feng Christiane Rahe Weihan Li Languang Lu Xiangming He Dirk Uwe Sauer Minggao Ouyang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10:5
5Inhibitory effects of reserpine and carbonyl cyanide m-chloro-phenylhydrazone on fluoroquinolone resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii显示文摘Mechanisms of bacterial resistance to fluoro-quinolones may be grouped into three principal categories: gene mutations of DNA topoisomerase Ⅱ (GyrA or GyrB), DNA topoisomerase Ⅳ (ParC or ParE), decrease of outer membrane permeation and upregulation of multi-drug efflux pump (active efflux system). 1 Efflux pumps are transport proteins removing toxic substrates (including virtually all classes of clinically relevant antibiotics) from cells to the external environment. These proteins exist in both Gram positive bacteria and Gram negative bacteria as well as in fungi and mammalian (tumour) cells. 2-4 It has been reported that alkaloid reserpine and carbonyl cyanide m-chlorophenylhydrazone (CCCP) can inhibit NorA multi-drug efflux. 5,6 In order to explore the universality of drug efflux in microorganisms, 85 strains of Acinetobacter baumannii (A. baumannii) were tested using reserpine and CCCP. The quinolone-resistant-determining region (QRDR) of gyrA and parC genes in 35 isolates of A. baumannii were amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and sequenced by DNA sequencer. 6Trade-offs and Synergies of Ecosystem Services in the Taihu Lake Ba- sin of China显示文摘Understanding the spatial interactions among multiple ecosystem services is crucial for ecosystem services management. Ecosystem services, including crop production, freshwater supply, aquatic production, net primary production, soil conservation, water conservation, flood regulation, forest recreation, were measured at 1-km grid scale covering the Taihu Lake Basin(TLB) of China. Our objective is to get a comprehensive understanding of the spatial distributions, trade-offs, synergies of multiple ecosystem services across the TLB. Our results found that: 1) majority of ecosystem services were clustered in space and had a similar spatial distribution pattern with the geographical resource endowment. Most of the landscape contributed a high supply of no services, one or two, and a low supply of three to seven services. 2) There were high correlation between forest recreation and freshwater supply and regulating services. Aquatic production had low correlation with other services. 3) The changes of provisioning services led to trade-offs between regulating services and cultural services in the TLB, while synergies mainly occurred among the provisioning service. 4) The spatial relationships of multiple services are consistent at 1-km spatial scale, counties and provinces. 7Gleaning insights from German energy transition and large-scale underground energy storage for China’s carbon neutrality显示文摘The global energy transition is a widespread phenomenon that requires international exchange of experiences and mutual learning.Germany’s success in its first phase of energy transition can be attributed to its adoption of smart energy technology and implementation of electricity futures and spot marketization,which enabled the achievement of multiple energy spatial–temporal complementarities and overall grid balance through energy conversion and reconversion technologies.While China can draw from Germany’s experience to inform its own energy transition efforts,its 11-fold higher annual electricity consumption requires a distinct approach.We recommend a clean energy system based on smart sector coupling(ENSYSCO)as a suitable pathway for achieving sustainable energy in China,given that renewable energy is expected to guarantee 85%of China’s energy production by 2060,requiring significant future electricity storage capacity.Nonetheless,renewable energy storage remains a significant challenge.We propose four large-scale underground energy storage methods based on ENSYSCO to address this challenge,while considering China’s national conditions.These proposals have culminated in pilot projects for large-scale underground energy storage in China,which we believe is a necessary choice for achieving carbon neutrality in China and enabling efficient and safe grid integration of renewable energy within the framework of ENSYSCO.Yachen Xie Xuning Wu Zhengmeng Hou Zaoyuan Li Jiashun Luo Christian Truitt Lüddeke Liangchao Huang Lin Wu Jianxing Liao 2023International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2023,33,5:4
8A Comparative Study of Charging Voltage Curve Analysis and State of Health Estimation of Lithium-ion Batteries in Electric Vehicle显示文摘Lithium-ion(Li-ion)cells degrade after repeated cycling and the cell capacity fades while its resistance increases.Degra-dation of Li-ion cells is caused by a variety of physical and chemical mechanisms and it is strongly influenced by factors including the electrode materials used,the working conditions and the battery temperature.At present,charging voltage curve analysis methods are widely used in studies of battery characteristics and the constant current charging voltage curves can be used to analyze battery aging mechanisms and estimate a battery’s state of health(SOH)via methods such as incremental capacity(IC)analysis.In this paper,a method to fit and analyze the charging voltage curve based on a neural network is proposed and is compared to the existing point counting method and the polynomial curve fitting method.The neuron parameters of the trained neural network model are used to analyze the battery capacity relative to the phase change reactions that occur inside the batteries.This method is suitable for different types of batteries and could be used in battery management systems for online battery modeling,analysis and diagnosis.Xuebing Han Xuning Feng Minggao Ouyang Languang Lu Jianqiu Li Yuejiu Zheng Zhe Li 2019Automotive Innovation2019,2,4:3
9Glial scar size, inhibitor concentration, and growth of regenerating axons after spinal cord transection显示文摘A mathematical model has been formulated in accordance with cell chemotaxis and relevant experimental data. A three-dimensional lattice Boltzmann method was used for numerical simulation. The present study observed the effects of glial scar size and inhibitor concentration on regenerative axonal growth following spinal cord transection. The simulation test comprised two parts: (1) when release rates of growth inhibitor and promoter were constant, the effects of glial scar size on axonal growth rate were analyzed, and concentrations of inhibitor and promoters located at the moving growth cones were recorded. (2) When the glial scar size was constant, the effects of inhibitor and promoter release rates on axonal growth rate were analyzed, and inhibitor and promoter concentrations at the moving growth cones were recorded. Results demonstrated that (1) a larger glial scar and a higher release rate of inhibitor resulted in a reduced axonal growth rate. (2) The axonal growth rate depended on the ratio of inhibitor to promoter concentrations at the growth cones. 10Implementation of 1.7 kV Silicon Carbide Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors in Auxiliary Power Supplies for Industrial Applications显示文摘An auxiliary power supply(Aux-PS)has become an essential component of electronic equipment for many industrial applications,such as in motor drives,photovoltaic(PV)inverters,uninterruptible power supply(UPS)systems and modular multilevel converters.The introduction of 1700 V silicon carbide(SiC)metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors(MOSFETs)is useful for such applications,providing benefits with respect to a low on-state resistance,smaller package,low switching loss and single-switching implementation.A single end flyback Aux-PS is designed for industrial applications with a wide input voltage range using 1.7 kV SiC MOSFETs.The special design tradeoffs involved in the usage of SiC MOSFETs are discussed in detail,such as those with regard to gate driving voltage selection,isolation transformer design considerations,and clamping circuit design details.A 60 W demonstration hardware is developed and tested under different working conditions.The results verify the higher efficiency and better thermal performance of the proposed hardware relative to those of traditional Si solutions.Xuning Zhang Gin Sheh 2020Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2020,6,3:2

12Topotactically constructed nickel-iron(oxy)hydroxide with abundant in-situ produced high-valent iron species for efficient water oxidation显示文摘The low efficiency of oxygen evolution reaction(OER) is regarded as one of the major roadblocks for metal-air batteries and water electrolysis.Herein,a high-performance OER catalyst of NiFe_(0.2)(oxy)hydroxide(NiFe_(0.2)-O_(x)H_(y)) was developed through topotactic transformation of a Prussian blue analogue in an alkaline solution,which exhibits a low overpotential of only 263 mV to reach a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2) and a small Tafel slope of 35 mV dec-1.Ex-situ/operando Raman spectroscopy results indicated that the phase structure of NiFe_(0.2)-O_(x)H_(y) was irreversibly transformed from the type of α-Ni(OH)_(2) to γ-NiOOH with applying an anodic potential,while ex-situ/operando 57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopic studies evidenced the in-situ production of abundant high-valent iron species under OER conditions,which effectively promoted the OER catalysis.Our work elucidates that the amount of high-valent iron species in-situ produced in the NiFe(oxy)hydroxide has a positive correlation with its water oxidation reaction performance,which further deepens the understanding of the mechanism of NiFe-based electrocatalysts.Zhichong Kuang Song Liu Xuning Li Meng Wang Xinyi Ren Jie Ding Rile Ge Wenhui Zhou Alexandre IRykov Moulay TSougrati Pierre-Emmanuel Lippens Yanqiang Huang Junhu Wang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,6:2

15Thermal Runaway of Lithium-Ion Batteries Employing Flame-Retardant Fluorinated Electrolytes显示文摘Fluorinated electrolytes possess good antioxidant capacity that provides high compatibility to high-voltage cathode and flame retardance;thus,they are considered as a promising solution for advanced lithium-ion batteries carrying both high-energy density and high safety.Moreover,the fluorinated electrolytes are widely used to form stable electrolyte interphase,due to their chemical reactivity with lithiated graphite or lithium.However,the influence of this reactivity on the thermal safety of batteries is seldom discussed.Herein,we demonstrate that the flame-retardant fluorinated electrolytes help to reduce the flammability,while the lithium-ion batteries with flame-retardant fluorinated electrolytes still undergo thermal runaway and disclose their different thermal runaway pathway from that of battery with conventional electrolyte.The reduction in fluorinated components(e.g.,LiPF 6 and fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC))by fully lithiated graphite accounts for a significant heat release during battery thermal runaway.The 13%of total heat is sufficient to trigger the chain reactions during battery thermal runaway.This study deepens the understanding of the thermal runaway mechanism of lithium-ion batteries employing flame-retardant fluorinated electrolytes,providing guidance on the concept of electrolyte design for safer lithium-ion batteries.Junxian Hou Li Wang Xuning Feng Junpei Terada Languang Lu Shigeaki Yamazaki Anyu Su Yoshiko Kuwajima Yongjiang Chen Tomoya Hidaka Xiangming He Hewu Wang Minggao Ouyang 2023Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,1:1

18A novel transgenic mouse model of Chinese CharcotMarie-Tooth disease type 2L显示文摘We previously found that the K141N mutation in heat shock protein B8(HSPB8) was responsible for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2L in a large Chinese family.The objective of the present study was to generate a transgenic mouse model bearing the K141N mutation in the human HSPB8 gene,and to determine whether this K141NHSPB8 transgenic mouse model would manifest the clinical phenotype of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2L,and consequently be suitable for use in studies of disease pathogenesis.Transgenic mice overexpressing K141NHSPB8 were generated using K141N mutant HSPB8 cDNA cloned into a pCAGGS plasmid driven by a human cytomegalovirus expression system.PCR and western blot analysis confirmed integration of the K141NHSPB8 gene and widespread expression in tissues of the transgenic mice.The K141NHSPB8 transgenic mice exhibited decreased muscle strength in the hind limbs and impaired motor coordination,but no obvious sensory disturbance at 6 months of age by behavioral assessment.Electrophysiological analysis showed that the compound motor action potential amplitude in the sciatic nerve was significantly decreased,but motor nerve conduction velocity remained normal at 6 months of age.Pathological analysis of the sciatic nerve showed reduced myelinated fiber density,notable axonal edema and vacuolar degeneration in K141NHSPB8 transgenic mice,suggesting axonal involvement in the peripheral nerve damage in these animals.These findings indicate that the K141NHSPB8 transgenic mouse successfully models Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2L and can be used to study the pathogenesis of the disease.Ruxu Zhang Fufeng Zhang Xiaobo Li Shunxiang Huang Xiaohong Zi Ting Liu Sanmei Liu Xuning Li Kun Xia Qian Pan Beisha Tang 2014Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,4:1
