1Two-step method to extract seismic microwave radiation anomaly:Case study of M_s8.0 Wenchuan earthquake显示文摘The satellite remote sensing has become a promising technique for detecting earthquake and fault activities.But it is still very difficult to exactly extract the earthquake anomaly from the complicated remote sensing information.This paper presented a two-step method to extract the seismic microwave radiation anomaly related with earthquake,which could eliminate the stable influence of geography,terrain,coversphere and seasons, as well as the random influence of weather.Furthermore the two-step method was applied to analyze the anomaly of Wenchuan earthquake based on the data of AMSR-E.Microwave radiation anomalies were effectively detected related to the main shock and aftershocks.The extracted microwave radiation variation showed general features of three-stage:the positive radiation anomaly appeared around the epicenter in the first stage,quiet variation in the second stage,and abnormal area gradually moved to the epicenter in the third stage.After the main shock the microwave radiation anomalies distributed along the Longmenshan faults,and the epicenters of aftershocks were coincident with the anomaly area in space.Yuntao Ma Shanjun Liu Lixin Wu Zhongyin Xu 2011Earthquake Science2011,24,6:5

3Enhancing the Formation of Starch-based Hybrid Hydrogel by Incorporating Carboxyl Groups into Starch Chains显示文摘A novel starch-based hybrid hydrogel was formed by physical and mild steps.Firstly,aqueous solution of a mixture of starch maleic half-ester(SM) and poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) was subjected to freezing-thawing cycles to generate a physical functional SM/PVA hydrogel.Subsequently,the SM/PVA/ HA hybrid hydrogel was obtained through the alternate soaking process.The structure and morphology of the hydrogels were examined with Fourier transform infrared spectra(FTIR),X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis,thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It was found that the existence of carboxylic groups on SM chains not only enabled SM/PVA hydrogel to be pH-sensitive,but also enhanced the formation of hydroxyapatite in the hydrogel via chelating calcium ions onto the matrix.萧聪明 XU Shanjun 2013Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2013,28,5:1
4Alkali-metal(Li, Na, and K)-adsorbed MoSi_(2)N_(4) monolayer: an investigation of its outstanding electronic, optical, and photocatalytic properties显示文摘Single-layer MoSi_(2)N_(4),a high-quality two-dimensional material,has recently been fabricated by chemical vapor deposition.Motivated by this latest experimental work,herein,we apply first principles calculations to investigate the electronic,optical,and photocatalytic properties of alkali-metal(Li,Na,and K)-adsorbed MoSi_(2)N_(4) monolayer.The electronic structure analysis shows that pristine MoSi_(2)N_(4) monolayer exhibits an indirect bandgap(E_(g)=1.89 eV).By contrast,the bandgaps of one Li-,Na-,and K-adsorbed MoSi_(2)N_(4) monolayer are 1.73 eV,1.61 eV,and 1.75 eV,respectively.Moreover,the work function of MoSi_(2)N_(4) monolayer(4.80 eV)is significantly reduced after the adsorption of alkali metal atoms.The work functions of one Li-,Na-,and K-adsorbed MoSi_(2)N_(4) monolayer are 1.50 eV,1.43 eV,and 2.03 eV,respectively.Then,optical investigations indicate that alkali metal adsorption processes substantially increase the visible light absorption range and coefficient of MoSi_(2)N_(4) monolayer.Furthermore,based on redox potential variations after alkali metals are adsorbed,Li-and Na-adsorbed MoSi_(2)N_(4) monolayers are more suitable for the water splitting photocatalytic process,and the Li-adsorbed case shows the highest potential application for CO_(2) reduction.In conclusion,alkali-metal-adsorbed MoSi_(2)N_(4) monolayer exhibits promising applications as novel optoelectronic devices and photocatalytic materials due to its unique physical and chemical properties.Zhiyuan Sun Jing Xu Nsajigwa Mwankemwa Wenxing Yang Xianwen Wu Zao Yi Shanjun Chen Weibin Zhang 2022Communications in Theoretical Physics2022,74,1:1

6Prediction of Newhall navel orange internal quality based on digital microscopy显示文摘The traditional technology for internal quality detection of citrus fruit is believed to be destructive,inefficient,and error-prone.To address these issues,a novel method has been developed to evaluate nondestructively the sugar-acid ratio(SAR)of soluble solids by using the oil glands density(OGD).In this study,a total of 584 samples with different widths were collected.The sample data were correlated that the SAR and OGD decreased with time during storage.The relevance with time was significant between SAR and OGD of citrus positively correlated in the calibration group(R2=0.82),which indicated that OGD could be used to predict the internal quality of citrus.It indicated that a new generation of digital microscopy could provide an alternative to predict nondestructively the internal quality of citrus fruit,as well as some theoretical insight for further studies of online quality detection in the future.Shumin Gao Cong Cao Dingyi Hu Rangwei Xu Yunjiang Cheng Hong Chen Ming Zhu Shanjun Li 2021International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,6:0
7Design and Experiments of a Human-Leg-Inspired Omnidirectional Robotic Leg显示文摘Bionic-based robotic legs enable the legged robots with elegant and agile mobility in multi-terrain environment,just like natural living beings.And the smart design could efficiently improve the performance of a robotic leg.Inspired by the simplified human leg structure,we present a 3-DOF robotic leg—OmniLeg,that is capable of making omnidirectional legged locomotion while keeping constant posture of the foot.Additionally,the concentrated drive mode,in which all the motor actuators are installed in the torso and do not move with the leg,minimizes the inertia of the robotic leg.In this paper,the modular design,the kinematics model,the structural analysis,the workspace,and the performance evaluation of the OmniLeg are discussed.Furthermore,we build a prototype based on the proposed design,and the precision of it is verified by the error calibration experiment which is conducted by tracking the trajectory of the prototype’s endpoint.Then,we present an OmniLeg-based single legged mobile robot.The capability of omnidirectional legged locomotion of the OmniLeg is demonstrated by the experiments.Yuze Xu Zirong Luo Xiangjuan Bai Huixiang Xie Yiming Zhu Shanjun Chen Jianzhong Shang 2023Journal of Bionic Engineering2023,20,6:0
8Design and test of self-propelled citrus seedling pots filling and placing machine显示文摘In order to address the problem of citrus seedling pot filling and transporting which is time-consuming and labor-intensive in China,a scheme for seedling pot filling and placing was proposed,and a self-propelled citrus seedling pot filling and placing machine was designed which can fill and place 48 pots at one time.Firstly,the rotary hopper door mechanism was designed,the movement of the hopper door was analyzed,and the connection between the opening size and the movement time of the hopper door was determined.Then,the transmission system of the machine was designed,the power consumption of the hopper movement and substrate stirring were calculated,and the power requirement of the transmission system was determined.The lifting structure of the seedling pots frame was analyzed,the size of the flipping structure of the cover plate was calculated,and the seedling pots frame was designed.After that,the substrate flow rate curve was measured through the substrate flow rate experiments,and the hopper-controlled movement speed was calculated.Furthermore,the experimental prototype was manufactured and tested.The test results indicate that the filling number of pots was 48 one time,the filling time was 30 s,and the seedling pots were fully filled and placed in order.The average filling mass of the seedling pots was 2.23 kg,and the average mass variation coefficient was 2.7%.The substrate mass which is scraped out is 0.81 kg,accounting for 0.76%of the total filling mass at one time.This designed machine had a reasonable structure and high filling efficiency.The reseach can provide a reference for the development and optimization of the citrus seedling pots filling and transporting machine.Qinchao Xu Shanjun Li Jian Zhang Jiating Zhu Haibing Pan 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,1:0
