1Comprehensive power-supply planning for active distribution system considering cooling,heating and power load balance显示文摘An active distribution system power-supply planning model considering cooling,heating and power load balance is proposed in this paper.A regional energy service company is assumed to be in charge of the investment and operation for the system in the model.The expansion of substations,building up distributed combined cooling,heating and power(CCHP),gas heating boiler(GHB)and air conditioner(AC)are included as investment planning options.In terms of operation,the load scenarios are divided into heating,cooling and transition periods.Also,the extreme load scene is included to assure the power supply reliability of the system.Numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model and illustrate the economic benefits of applying distributed CCHP in regional power supply on investment and operation.Xinwei SHEN Yingduo HAN Shouzhen ZHU Jinghong ZHENG Qingsheng LI Jing NONG 2015Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2015,3,4:24
2BAS-ADAM:An ADAM Based Approach to Improve the Performance of Beetle Antennae Search Optimizer显示文摘In this paper,we propose enhancements to Beetle Antennae search(BAS)algorithm,called BAS-ADAIVL to smoothen the convergence behavior and avoid trapping in localminima for a highly noin-convex objective function.We achieve this by adaptively adjusting the step-size in each iteration using the adaptive moment estimation(ADAM)update rule.The proposed algorithm also increases the convergence rate in a narrow valley.A key feature of the ADAM update rule is the ability to adjust the step-size for each dimension separately instead of using the same step-size.Since ADAM is traditionally used with gradient-based optimization algorithms,therefore we first propose a gradient estimation model without the need to differentiate the objective function.Resultantly,it demonstrates excellent performance and fast convergence rate in searching for the optimum of noin-convex functions.The efficiency of the proposed algorithm was tested on three different benchmark problems,including the training of a high-dimensional neural network.The performance is compared with particle swarm optimizer(PSO)and the original BAS algorithm.Ameer Hamza Khan Xinwei Cao Shuai Li Vasilios N.Katsikis Liefa Liao 2020IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2020,7,2:20
3Soil contamination with antibiotics in a typical peri-urban area in eastern China: Seasonal variation, risk assessment, and microbial responses显示文摘The prevalence and persistence of antibiotics in soils has become an emerging environmental issue and an increasing threat to soil security and global public health. The problem is more severe in areas undergoing rapid urbanization; however, the ecological risks of antibiotics,seasonal variability, and associated soil microbial responses in peri-urban soils have not been well-explored. The seasonal soil sampling campaigns were conducted in a typical peri-urban watershed in eastern China to investigate distribution of antibiotics. The results demonstrated higher mean concentrations of most antibiotic compounds in winter than in summer in periurban soils. The seasonal variations of norfloxacin, enrofloxacin, and ciprofloxacin were more significant than those of other antibiotics, due to their higher migration ability and bioavailability.An ecological risk assessment demonstrated that chlortetracycline, ciprofloxacin, doxycycline,and ofloxacin can pose high risks to soil microorganisms. Furthermore, the coexistence of multiple antibiotics obviously poses higher risks than individual compounds. A redundancy analysis demonstrated that tetracyclines mainly showed negative correlations with Firmicutes and Chloroflexi, and quinolones showed obviously negative correlations with Acidobacteria,Gemmatimonadetes, and Nitrospirae, suggesting potential inhibition from antibiotics on biological activities or biodegradation processes. However, the persistence of antibiotics in soil results in a significant decrease in bacterial diversity and a change in dominant species.Our results provide an overview of the seasonal variability of antibiotics and the associated effects on bacterial communities in peri-urban soils. 5Internet of Things to network smart devices for ecosystem monitoring显示文摘Smart, real-time, low-cost, and distributed ecosystem monitoring is essential for understanding and managing rapidly changing ecosystems. However, new techniques in the big data era have rarely been introduced into operational ecosystem monitoring, particularly for fragile ecosystems in remote areas.We introduce the Internet of Things(IoT) techniques to establish a prototype ecosystem monitoring system by developing innovative smart devices and using IoT technologies for ecosystem monitoring in isolated environments. The developed smart devices include four categories: large-scale and nonintrusive instruments to measure evapotranspiration and soil moisture, in situ observing systems for CO2 and d13 C associated with soil respiration, portable and distributed devices for monitoring vegetation variables, and Bi-CMOS cameras and pressure trigger sensors for terrestrial vertebrate monitoring. These new devices outperform conventional devices and are connected to each other via wireless communication networks. The breakthroughs in the ecosystem monitoring IoT include new data loggers and longdistance wireless sensor network technology that supports the rapid transmission of data from devices to wireless networks. The applicability of this ecosystem monitoring IoT is verified in three fragile ecosystems, including a karst rocky desertification area, the National Park for Amur Tigers, and the oasis-desert ecotone in China. By integrating these devices and technologies with an ecosystem monitoring information system, a seamless data acquisition, transmission, processing, and application IoT is created. 8Tracking control of redundant manipulator under active remote center-of-motion constraints: an RNN-based metaheuristic approach显示文摘In this paper, we propose a recurrent neural network(RNN) for the tracking control of surgical robots while satisfying remote center-of-motion(RCM) constraints. RCM constraints enforce rules suggesting that the surgical tip should not go beyond the region of incision while tracking the commands of the surgeon.Violations of RCM constraints can result in serious injury to the patient. We unify the RCM constraints with the tracing control by formulating a single constrained optimization problem using a penalty-term approach.The penalty-term actively rewards the optimizer for satisfying the RCM constraints. We then propose an RNN-based metaheuristic optimization algorithm called 'Beetle Antennae Olfactory Recurrent Neural Network(BAORNN)' for solving the formulated optimization problem in real time. The proposed control framework can track the surgeon’s commands and satisfy the RCM constraints simultaneously. Theoretical analysis is performed to demonstrate the stability and convergence of the BAORNN algorithm. 9Melatonin lowers edema after spinal cord injury显示文摘Melatonin has been shown to diminish edema in rats. Melatonin can be used to treat spinal cord injury. This study presumed that melatonin could relieve spinal cord edema and examined how it might act. Our experiments found that melatonin(100 mg/kg, i.p.) could reduce the water content of the spinal cord, and suppress the expression of aquaporin-4 and glial fibrillary acidic protein after spinal cord injury. 10Porous FeO_x/BiVO_(4-δ)S_(0.08): Highly efcient photocatalysts for the degradation of Methylene Blue under visible-light illumination显示文摘Porous S-doped bismuth vanadate with an olive-like morphology and its supported iron oxide(y wt.% FeOx/BiVO4 δS0.08, y =0.06, 0.76, and 1.40) photocatalysts were fabricated using the dodecylamine-assisted alcohol-hydrothermal and incipient wetness impregnation methods, respectively. It is shown that the y wt.% FeOx/BiVO4 δS0.08photocatalysts contained a monoclinic scheetlite BiVO4 phase with a porous olive-like morphology, a surface area of 8.8–9.2 m2/g, and a bandgap energy of 2.38–2.42 eV. There was co-presence of surface Bi5+, Bi3+, V5+, V3+, Fe3+, and Fe2+species in y wt.% FeOx/BiVO4 δS0.08. The 1.40 wt.% FeOx/BiVO4 δS0.08sample performed the best for Methylene Blue degradation under visible-light illumination. The photocatalytic mechanism was also discussed. 11Response of Microbial Community to Petroleum Stress and Phosphate Dosage in Sediments of Jiaozhou Bay, China显示文摘The dynamic microcosms were used to evaluate the effect of oil spills on microbial ecological system in marine sediment and the enhancement of nutrient on the oil removal. The function and structure of microbial community caused by the oil pollution and phosphate dosage were simultaneously monitored by dehydrogenase activity assay and PCR-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE) techniques. The results indicated that the amount of total bacteria in all dynamic microcosms declined rapidly with incubation time. The number of petroleum-degrading bacteria and the activity of sediment dehydrogenase were gradually enhanced by petroleum in the oil-treated microcosms, while they both showed no obvious response to phosphate dosage. In comparison, phosphate spiked heterotrophic bacteria and they showed a significant increase in amount. DGGE profiles indicated that petroleum dosage greatly changed community structure, and the bacteria belonged to class Deltaproteobacteria, and phyla Bacteroidetes and Chlorobi were enriched. This study demonstrated that petroleum input greatly impacted the microbial community structure and consequently the marine sediment petroleum-degrading activity was enhanced. 12PDCD5 regulates iNKT cell terminal maturation and iNKT1 fate decision显示文摘Invariant natural killer T1(iNKT1)cells are characterized by the preferential expression of T-box transcription factor T-bet(encoded by Tbx21)and the production of cytokine IFN-γ,but the relationship between the developmental process and iNKT1 lineage diversification in the thymus remains elusive.We report in the present study a crucial role of programmed cell death 5(PDCD5)in iNKT cell terminal maturation and iNKT1 fate determination.Mice with T cell-specific deletion of PDCD5 had decreased numbers of thymic and peripheral iNKT cells with a predominantly immature phenotype and defects in response toα-galactosylceramide.Loss of PDCD5 also selectively abolished the iNKT1 lineage by reducing T-bet expression in iNKT cells at an early thymic developmental stage(before CD44 upregulation).We further demonstrated that TOX2,one of the high mobility group proteins that was highly expressed in iNKT cells at stage 1 and could be stabilized by PDCD5,promoted the permissive histone H3K4me3 modification in the promoter region of Tbx21.These data indicate a pivotal and unique role of PDCD5/TOX2 in iNKT1 lineage determination.They also suggest that the fate of iNKT1 may be programmed at the developmental stage of iNKT cells in the thymus.Ke Wang Xinwei Zhang Yifan Wang Gaowen Jin Mingyang Li Shusong Zhang Jie Hao Rong Jin Xiaojun Huang Hounan Wu Jun Zhang Yingyu Chen Qing Ge 2019Cellular & Molecular Immunology2019,16,9:4

14Quantum beetle antennae search:a novel technique for the constrained portfolio optimization problem显示文摘In this paper,we have formulated quantum beetle antennae search(QBAS),a meta-heuristic optimization algorithm,and a variant of beetle antennae search(BAS).We apply it to portfolio selection,a well-known finance problem.Quantum computing is gaining immense popularity among the scientific community as it outsmarts the conventional computing in efficiency and speed.All the traditional computing algorithms are not directly compatible with quantum computers,for that we need to formulate their variants using the principles of quantum mechanics.In the portfolio optimization problem,we need to find the set of optimal stock such that it minimizes the risk factor and maximizes the mean-return of the portfolio.To the best of our knowledge,no quantum meta-heuristic algorithm has been applied to address this problem yet.We apply QBAS on real-world stock market data and compare the results with other meta-heuristic optimization algorithms.The results obtained show that the QBAS outperforms swarm algorithms such as the particle swarm optimization(PSO)and the genetic algorithm(GA).Ameer Tamoor KHAN Xinwei CAO Shuai LI Bin HU Vasilios N.KATSIKIS 2021Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,5:4
15Ferritin as a diagnostic, differential diagnostic, and prognostic marker for immune-related adverse events显示文摘Objective:Distinguishing immune-related adverse events(irAEs)caused by immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)from the AEs caused by chemotherapy,targeted therapy,or infection is highly difficult.This study offers new insights into evaluating the diagnosis,differential diagnostic,and prognostic value of ferritin for irAEs induced by ICIs.Methods:From December 1,2018,to April 1,2019,we examined 318 patients with malignant tumors who received serum ferritin monitoring.The cohort comprised 231 patients treated with PD-1 inhibitor or combination with chemotherapy,and 87 patients treated with chemotherapy.Of the 231 patients,90 had irAEs(irAE group),70 had non-irAEs(non-irAE group),67 had no AEs(no irAE-non irAE group),and 4 had unclassified AEs.In the 87 patients,60 had AEs(AE group),and 27 had no AEs(no AE group).Statistical analyses were conducted with nonparametric Mann-Whitney tests.Results:At the onset of AEs in the irAE group,ferritin(normal range,35–150μg/L)rose to a median of 927μg/L(range,117–17,825μg/L)from 86μg/L at baseline(range,29–421μg/L)(P<0.001).Ferritin levels at the onset of AEs in the irAE group were significantly higher than those in the non-irAE group(median,81μg/L;range,32–478μg/L)(P<0.001)and the AE group(median,103μg/L;range,23–712μg/L)(P<0.001).After treatment in the irAE group,ferritin continuously decreased to a normal range in recovered patients,showed no significant changes in stable patients,and continued to rise in patients who died.Conclusions:Ferritin can be used as a diagnostic,differential diagnostic,and prognostic marker for irAEs in patients treated with ICIs.Weihong Zhang Yuan Meng Lin Yang Meng Shen Li Zhou Runmei Li Yang Wang Weijiao Du Yanjuan Xiong Ying Han Xinwei Zhang Liang Liu Xiubao Ren 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,4:4
16A two-stage reduction process for the production of high-purity ultrafine Ni particles in a micro-fluidized bed reactor显示文摘A novel two-stage reduction process for synthesis of ultrafine nickel powder with a high purity and low density in a fluidized bed reactor has been developed in this work.The raw ultrafine NiO particles are first pre-reduced using hydrogen at lower temperatures(340-400 ℃),followed by further reduction at higher temperatures(500-600 ℃).The self-agglomeration of Ni particles formed during low-temperature reduction decreases the sintering activity of the newly formed ultrafine Ni particles,leading to good fluidization quality,even for the subsequent high-temperature reduction process.The agglomerated Ni particles have a high Ni content(above 99wt%),a low density(0.78 g/cm^3) and a uniform particle size(approximately 100μm).A concept design for a novel two-stage fluidized bed reactor process used to produce high-purity Ni powder was also proposed.This approach may be extended to the synthesis of other ultrafine/nanosized metals or metal oxides through a fluidization method.Jun Li Xinwei Liu Li Zhou Qingshan Zhu Hongzhong Li 2015Particuology2015,13,2:4
17Effectiveness of flesh-moistening paste in psoriasis vulgaris patients with symptom pattern of blood stasis:a randomized and parallel-controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of flesh-moistening paste for treating psoriasis vulgaris in patients with blood stasis pattern in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).METHODS:Eudipleural rashes on both the left and right side of the same patients with psoriasis vulgaris,diagnosed via TCM as blood stasis pattern,were selected as the targeted skin lesions.A randomized,double-blind,parallel-controlled,multicenter controlled trial was conducted.The targeted skin lesions were categorized into either the treatment or control group.The treatment group used the flesh-moistening paste;the control group used a placebo.Both the paste and the placebo were topically applied twice daily for eight weeks.The patients were examined biweekly to evaluate the effects.The two groups were compared in terms of the psoriasis area and severity index(PASI)of the targeted skin lesions,which is scored according to erythema,desquamation,infiltration,area,pruritus,and improvement of skin barrier function.Adverse events were recorded during the study period.SPSS 21.0 was used to analyze the data.RESULTS:Fifty-six patients were enrolled between February 2016 and October 2017.Two were complicated by cardio-cerebrovascular disease and were excluded;thus,54 outpatients were finally enrolled in the study.Four dropped out during the study period:three failed to complete their follow-up visits for unknown reasons,and one exited due to an adverse event.The final trial comprised 50 of the 56 originally selected patients,with a 92.6%completion rate.After 8 weeks of treatment,the targeted skin lesion scores differed significantly(P<0.05).The PASI scores of the targeted skin lesions differed significantly beginning at week 6(P<0.05).The treatment group presented better results than those of the control group.Only one patient had an adverse reaction associated with the treatment.Improvements in skin barrier function differed significantly(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The flesh-moistening paste demonstrated a reliable curative effect and safety for treating psoriasis vulgaris in patients with blood stasis patterns.The topical paste improved the barrier function of the skin lesions.Guo Xinwei Lang Na Li Guanru Li Ping Qu Jianhua Zhou Dongmei Wang Ping Cang Zhang Deng BingXu Lou Weihai Xu Jingna Lan Haibing Liu Yumin Zhang Weishu Sun Liyun 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6:4
18Flexible mica films for high-temperature energy storage显示文摘Dielectrics used for energy storage are highly desired for power electronics and pulse power applications and the polymer capacitors are the main commercial ones available.The development of flexible electronics and wearable devices require the relative materials being flexible.Besides,high temperature resistance is also desired because of the rising demand for high power devices and large electricity under elevated temperature.The polymer dielectrics for polymer capacitors are flexible but with relatively low working temperature normally less than 100℃.Therefore,fabricating a dielectric material to satisfy the flexibility and high working temperature simultaneously is still a great challenge.Here we propose one solution by demonstrating a hand-exfoliated fluorophlogopite film with micrometer scale thickness.Among which,the mica film with a thickness of around 10μm(Mica-10)exhibits the inorganic-like temperature stability even polymer-like flexibility.From 25℃to 200℃,Mica-10 has an energy density of around 11.27 J/cm^(3)with a variation within 2%,accompanied by a charge-discharge efficiency of around 95%at an electric field of 500 MV/m.Meanwhile,the thin thickness makes Mica-10 flexible,enabling its excellent flexibility and durability.This work revives the traditional material,mica,providing a way for high-temperature energy storage applications.Xinwei Xu Wenlong Liu Yi Li Yifei Wang Qibin Yuan Jie Chen Rong Ma Feng Xiang Hong Wang 2018Journal of Materiomics2018,4,3:3
19Ultralight and ordered lamellar polyimide-based graphene foams with efficient broadband electromagnetic absorption显示文摘The development of high-performance microwave absorption materials with strong absorption capacity and broad bandwidth is highly desirable in the field of electromagnetic pollution protection.Herein,ultralight polyimide-based graphene foam with ordered lamellar structure is precisely designed and controllably constructed by bidirectional freezing process.More lamellar interfaces formed inside the foam per unit volume effectively facilitate the layer-by-layer dissipation for the vertical incident electromagnetic waves,thereby endowing the foam with efficient broadband electromagnetic absorption performance.More importantly,electromagnetic absorption performance can be controllably adjusted by optimizing impedance distribution and microstructure of skeletons.As a result,the optimized foam with an ultralow density of 9.10 mg/cm^(3)presents a minimum reflection loss value of-61.29 dB at 9.25 GHz and an effective absorption bandwidth of 5.51 GHz(7.06-12.57 GHz,covering the whole X band) when the thickness is 4.75 mm.Yawei Zhang Shuangshuang Li Xinwei Tang Wei Fan Qianqian Lan Le Li Piming Ma Weifu Dong Zicheng Wang Tianxi Liu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,7:3
20Fragment spatial distribution of prismatic casing under internal explosive loading显示文摘Non-cylindrical casings filled with explosives have undergone rapid development in warhead design and explosion control.The fragment spatial distribution of prismatic casings is more complex than that of traditional cylindrical casings.In this study,numerical and experimental investigations into the fragment spatial distribution of a prismatic casing were conducted.A new numerical method,which adds the Lagrangian marker points to the Eulerian grid,was proposed to track the multi-material interfaces and material dynamic fractures.Physical quantity mappings between the Lagrangian marker points and Eulerian grid were achieved by their topological relationship.Thereafter,the fragment spatial distributions of the prismatic casing with different fragment sizes,fragment shapes,and casing geometries were obtained using the numerical method.Moreover,fragment spatial distribution experiments were conducted on the prismatic casing with different fragment sizes and shapes,and the experimental data were compared with the numerical results.The effects of the fragment and casing geometry on the fragment spatial distributions were determined by analyzing the numerical results and experimental data.Finally,a formula including the casing geometry parameters was fitted to predict the fragment spatial distribution of the prismatic casing under internal explosive loading.Tianbao Ma Xinwei Shi Jian Li Jianguo Ning 2020Defence Technology(防务技术)2020,16,4:3
