| 2 | Development of the CAS-LIBB single-particlemicrobeam for localizedirradiation of living cells显示文摘A single-particle microbeam facility has been constructed at the Key Laboratory of Ion Beam Bioengi- neering (LIBB), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The system was designed to deliver a defined numbers of hydro- gen ions, produced by a van de Graaff accelerator, in an en- ergy range of 2.0—3.0 MeV, into an area smaller than that of the nucleus of an individual living cell. The beam is colli- mated by a borosilicate glass capillary that forms the beam-line exit. An integrated computer program recognizes the cells and locates them one by one over the microbeam exit for irradiation. We present technical details of the CAS-LIBB microbeam facility, particularly on the collimator, hardware, control program, as well as cell irradiation proto- cols available. | 3 | Effects of SiO_2 and TiO_2 on resistance stabilities of flexible indium-tin-oxide films prepared by ion assisted deposition显示文摘Inorganic buffer layers such as SiO2 or TiO2 and transparent conductive indium-tin-oxide (ITO) films were prepared on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates by ion assisted deposition (IAD) at room temperature, and the effects of SiO2 and TiO2 on the bending resistance performance of flexible ITO films were investigated. The results show that ITO films with SiO2 or TiO2 buffer layer have better resistance stabilities compared to ones without the buffer layer when the ITO films are inwards bent at a bending radius more than 1.2 cm and when the ITO films are outwards bent at a bending radius from 0.8 cm to 1.2 cm. ITO films with SiO2 buffer layer have better resistance stabilities compared to ones with TiO2 buffer layer after the ITO films are bent several hundreds of cycles at the same bending radius, for the adhesion of SiO2 is stronger than that of TiO2. The compressive stress resulted from inward bending leads to the formation of more defects in the ITO films compared with the tensile stress arising from outward bending. | 4 | β-Elemene-loaded polymeric micelles intensify anti-carcinoma efficacy and alleviate side effects显示文摘β-Elemene is a volatile oil used for the treatment of cancer,but poor solubility,low bioavailability,and various adverse reactions limit its application.For amelio rating risks of the venous toxicity ofβ-elemene,intravenously injectable micelle ofβ-elemene was prepared using the thin-film hydration method.The results pointed out the micelles were uniformly spherical with about 20.96±0.1966 nm in average diameter and exhibited high entrapment efficiency(99.02%±0.88%).As revealed by drug release studies in vitro,β-elemene micelles had sustained drug release.Compared with freeβ-elemene,the micelles increased the drug cellular uptake and enhanced the anti-tumor effect in vitro through retarding cell cycle and inducing apoptosis.Meanwhile,the elevated se rum stability o fβ-elemene micelles implied less drug leakage and reduced toxicity.The wound healing and tube formation assay in vitro demonstrated the anti-metastasis and anti-angiogenesis effects ofβ-elemene micelles.Moreover,the pharmacokinetics study showed the AUC and T1/2 ofβ-elemene in micelle group were 1.79 and 1.62 times of that in free fi-elemene group,suggesting the circulation time ofβ-elemene in the blood had been prolonged.In addition,β-elemene micelles showed a favorable antitumor response compared with theβ-elemene solution on C26 colon cance r-bearing mice model.Local irritation study investigated in rabbits indicated that theβ-elemene micelles strikingly mitigated the irritation to the injection sites compared with freeβ-elemene.These results proved that the micelle could be a good candidate as an auspicious drug delivery system ofβ-elemene for the prospective clinical treatment of carcinoma. | Qiaoqiao Hu Lan Bai Zejiang Zhu Zhengying Su Peng Bai Minghai Tang Caixia Dou Junfeng Yan Rongsheng Tong Wuyu Zhang Lijuan Chen Lulu Cai | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,3: | 2 |

| 14 | Design of All-Fused-Ring Electron Acceptors with High Thermal,Chemical,and Photochemical Stability for Organic Photovoltaics显示文摘High-performance donor-acceptor electron acceptors containing 2-(3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-ylidene)malononitrile(INCN)-type terminals are labile toward photooxidation and basic conditions,and new molecular designs toward electron acceptors that can achieve both high power conversion efficiencies and high stability are urgently needed.By replacing the central benzene ring in the classical ladder-type n-type semiconductor,2,2′-(indeno[1,2-b]fluorene-6,12-diylidene)dimalononitrile,with the electron-rich 4,4,9,9-tetrahexyl-4,9-dihydro-s-indaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b′]dithiophene,we report herein the design of 2,2′-(7,7,15,15-tetrahexyl-7,15-dihydro-sindaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b′]diindeno[1,2-d]thiophene-2,10(2H)-diylidene)dimalononitrile(ITYM),a new type of all-fused-ring electron acceptor(AFRA).A threestep reaction including a key Pd-catalyzed double C-H activation/intramolecular cyclization is established for the efficient synthesis of such type of electron acceptors.ITYM is confirmed by singlecrystal X-ray analysis,which shows a planar nonacyclic structure with strongπ-πstacking.Compared with the classical carbon-bridged INCN-type acceptors,ITYM exhibits extraordinary stability with very promising performance.The AFRA concept opens a new avenue toward high-efficiency and-stability organic photovoltaics(OPVs). | Xiaozhang Zhu Songjun Liu Qihui Yue Wuyue Liu Shaoming Sun Shengjie Xu | 2021 | CCS Chemistry2021,3,6: | 1 |
| 15 | Spatial weight matrix in dimensionality reduction reconstruction for microelectromechanical system-based photoacoustic microscopy显示文摘A micro-electromechanical system(MEMS)scanning mirror accelerates the raster scanning of optical-resolution photoacoustic microscopy(OR-PAM).However,the nonlinear tilt angular-voltage characteristic of a MEMS mirror introduces distortion into the maximum back-projection image.Moreover,the size of the airy disk,ultrasonic sensor properties,and thermal effects decrease the resolution.Thus,in this study,we proposed a spatial weight matrix(SWM)with a dimensionality reduction for image reconstruction.The three-layer SWM contains the invariable information of the system,which includes a spatial dependent distortion correction and 3D deconvolution.We employed an ordinal-valued Markov random field and the Harris Stephen algorithm,as well as a modified delay-and-sum method during a time reversal.The results from the experiments and a quantitative analysis demonstrate that images can be effectively reconstructed using an SWM;this is also true for severely distorted images.The index of the mutual information between the reference images and registered images was 70.33 times higher than the initial index,on average.Moreover,the peak signal-to-noise ratio was increased by 17.08%after 3D deconvolution.This accomplishment offers a practical approach to image reconstruction and a promising method to achieve a real-time distortion correction for MEMS-based OR-PAM. | Yuanzheng Ma Chang Lu Kedi Xiong Wuyu Zhang Sihua Yang | 2020 | Visual Computing for Industry,Biomedicine,and Art2020,3,1: | 1 |

| 17 | Near-Infrared All-Fused-Ring Nonfullerene Acceptors Achieving an Optimal Efficiency-Cost-Stability Balance in Organic Solar Cells显示文摘Synergistically achieving stability,cost,and efficiency is crucial for the commercialization of organic solar cells(OSCs).Despite the rapid development of 2-(3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-ylidene)malo nonitriletypenon fullerene acceptors(NFAs),they areinherently unstable due to the vulnerable exocyclic double bond and possess high synthesis complexity(SC).Based on the“all-fused-ring electron acceptor(AFAR)”concept,we report two new near-infrared NFAs,F11 and F13,featuring all fused dodecacyclic rings.By developing a whole set of synthetic procedures,F11 and F13 can be conveniently prepared at a 10 g scale within a notably short period,displaying both the low SC and the lowest costs among reported NFAs,even comparable to the classical photovoltaic material,P3HT.In comparison with the one-dimensional stacking of ITYM(ITYM=2,2′-(7,7,15,15-tetrahexyl-7,15-dihydro-s-indaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b′]diindeno[1,2-d]thiophene-2,10(2H)-diylidene)dimalononitrile),the first AFRA,and mixed J-and H-aggregations in Y6,F-acceptors show a compact honeycomb-type three-dimensional stacking with exclusive J-aggregations,favoring multichannel charge transport.By matching a medium-bandgap polymer donor,F13 delivers greater than 13%power conversion efficiencies,which is the highest performance among non-INCN acceptors,and shows device stability superior to the typical ITIC-and Y6-based OSCs as evidenced by the negligible burn-in losses.This work presents a first and successful example of NFAs achieving an optimal efficiency-cost-stability balance in OSCs. | Wenrui Liu Shengjie Xu Hanjian Lai Wuyue Liu Feng He Xiaozhang Zhu | 2023 | CCS Chemistry2023,5,3: | 0 |
