We examined electrophysiological measures during recognition failure in order to determine the influence of retrieval orientation for item versus source information. Recognition failure was associated with brain potentials distinct from those associated with success. Furthermore, source-memory failures were associated with earlier-onset brain potentials with a more anterior distribution compared to item-memory failures. | 6 | 非线性频率压缩助听器对耳聋患者噪声下言语识别的影响显示文摘目的探讨非线性频率压缩(nonlinear frequency compression,NLFC)助听器对以汉语普通话为母语的耳聋患者噪声下言语识别的影响,为耳聋患者助听器选配及助听效果评估提供参考。方法 25例以汉语普通话为母语的感音神经性聋患者,均双耳佩戴助听器,根据患者是否有NLFC助听经验分为A、B两组:A组13例有NLFC助听经验,日常使用NLFC技术;B组12例无NLFC助听经验,日常使用传统放大(conventional process,CP)技术。所有患者分别在NLFC和CP条件下进行噪声下句子识别测试,比较其结果。结果 A组患者在NLFC和CP条件下的噪声下言语识别率分别为82.33%±16.06%、76.70%±18.08%,前者高于后者,差异有显著统计学意义(P<0.01);B组分别为83.04%±12.56%、81.79%±20.07%(P=0.19),差异无统计学意义。A组患者在NLFC和CP条件下的高频(4、6、8kHz)助听听阈分别为53.54±7.30、57.01±6.81dB SPL,B组分别为57.42±8.38和61.21±7.42dB SPL,两组NLFC条件下的助听听阈低于CP条件,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.01)。经统计学回归处理,患者在NLFC和CP条件下的高频助听听阈差值与言语识别率差值呈线性相关(r=0.63,t=3.89,P=0.007)。结论 NLFC技术可改善患者高频可听度及噪声下言语识别,一定的NLFC使用经验可使NLFC助听效果最大化。 | 尤妍颜 陈雪清 徐立 Voss Solveig Christina 孟超 Rehmann Julia 郭倩倩 Kuehnel Volker 钱金宇 | 2017 | 听力学及言语疾病杂志2017,25,3: | 4 |

| 10 | Establishing minimum clinically important difference values for the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System Physical Function, hip disability and osteoarthritis outcome score for joint reconstruction, and knee injury and osteoarthritis out显示文摘AIM To establish minimum clinically important difference(MCID) for measurements in an orthopaedic patient population with joint disorders.METHODS Adult patients aged 18 years and older seeking care for joint conditions at an orthopaedic clinic took the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System Physical Function(PROMIS~? PF) computerized adaptive test(CAT), hip disability and osteoarthritis outcome score for joint reconstruction(HOOS JR), and the knee injury and osteoarthritis outcome score for joint reconstruction(KOOS JR) from February 2014 to April 2017. MCIDs were calculated using anchorbased and distribution-based methods. Patient reports of meaningful change in function since their first clinic encounter were used as an anchor.RESULTS There were 2226 patients who participated with a mean age of 61.16(SD = 12.84) years, 41.6% male, and 89.7% Caucasian. Mean change ranged from 7.29 to 8.41 for the PROMIS~? PF CAT, from 14.81 to 19.68 for the HOOS JR, and from 14.51 to 18.85 for the KOOS JR. ROC cut-offs ranged from 1.97-8.18 for the PF CAT, 6.33-43.36 for the HOOS JR, and 2.21-8.16 for the KOOS JR. Distribution-based methods estimated MCID values ranging from 2.45 to 21.55 for the PROMIS~? PF CAT; from 3.90 to 43.61 for the HOOS JR, and from 3.98 to 40.67 for the KOOS JR. The median MCID value in the range was similar to the mean change score for each measure and was 7.9 for the PF CAT, 18.0 for the HOOS JR, and 15.1 for the KOOS JR.CONCLUSION This is the first comprehensive study providing a wide range of MCIDs for the PROMIS? | 12 | Modulation of tau phosphorylation by environmental copper显示文摘Background:The transition metal copper enhances amyloidβaggregation and neurotoxicity,and in models of concomitant amyloid and tau pathology,copper also promotes tau aggregation.Since it is not clear if the effects of environmental copper upon tau pathology are dependent on the presence of pathological amyloidβ,we tested the effects of copper overload and complexing in disease models which lack pathological amyloidβ.Methods:We used cell culture and transgenic murine models to test the effects of environmental copper on tau phosphorylation.We used oral zinc acetate as a copper lowering agent in mice and examined changes in blood and brain metals through inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy.Behavioral effects of copper lowering were assessed with Morris water maze and novel object recognition tasks.Changes in tau phosphorylation were examined by phosphorylation specific antibodies on Western blots.Results:In human neuroblastoma cells,excess copper promoted tau phosphorylation and a copper complexing agent,tetrathiomolybdate,attenuated tau phosphorylation.In a transgenic mouse model expressing wild type human tau,copper-lowering by oral zinc suppressed plasma and brain levels of copper,and resulted in a marked attenuation of tau phosphorylation.No significant changes in behavior were observed with copper lowering,but a trend to improved recognition of the novel object was observed in zinc acetate treated mice.Conclusions:We propose that reduction of brain copper by blocking uptake of copper from the diet may be a viable strategy for modulating tau pathology in Alzheimer’s disease.The potential benefits of this approach are tempered by the absence of a behavioral benefit and by the health risks of excessive lowering of copper. | Kellen Voss Christopher Harris Martina Ralle Megan Duffy Charles Murchison Joseph F Quinn | 2014 | Translational Neurodegeneration2014,3,1: | 3 |
| 13 | Clinical outcome after orbital floor fracture reduction with special regard to patient's satisfaction显示文摘Purpose: Primary reconstruction via transconjunctival approach is a standardized treatment option for orbital floor fractures. The aim of this study was to compare the findings of specific ophthalmologic assessment with the patient's complaints after fracture reduction. Methods: A retrospective medical chart analysis was performed on patients who had undergone transconjunctival orbital floor fracture reduction for fracture therapy with resorbable foil (ethisorb sheet or polydioxanone foil). A follow-up assessment including ophthalmological evaluation regarding visual acuity (eye chart projector), binocular visual field screening (Bagolini striated glasses test) and diplopia (cover test, Hess screen test) was conducted. Additionally, a questionnaire was performed to assess patients' satisfaction. Results: A total of 53 patients with a mean follow-up of 23 months (ranging from 11 to 72) after surgical therapy were included. Diplopia was present preoperatively in 23 (43.4%) and reduced in follow-up examination (n = 12, 22.6%). Limitations in ocular motility reduced from 37.7% to 7.5%. The questionnaire about the patient's satisfaction revealed excellent outcomes in relation to the functional and esthetical parameters. Conclusion: Transconjunctival approach is a safe approach for orbital fracture therapy.
