Influence of extrusion conditions on microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-2Gd-0.3Zr magnesium alloy显示文摘In general, different extrusion conditions will affect the microstructure of magnesium alloys and further determine the mechanical properties. The effects of extrusion parameters and heat treatment processes such as extrusion speed,pre-forging,annealing time, extrusion ratio and cooling rate on the microstructure, texture evolution and tensile properties of Mg-2Gd-0.3Zr alloys were investigated in this study.Compared with the as-cast alloy, the extrusion process significantly refines the grains and exhibit the rare earth texture. With the increase of extrusion speed and annealing time, the growth of recrystallized grains is accelerated, leading to the increase of elongation.Large pre-forging deformation achieves to refine the grains by promoting recrystallization nucleation, resulting in increased strength of Mg-2Gd-0.3Zr alloy.Decreasing the extrusion ratio or increasing the cooling rate will introduce coarse un-DRXed grains, which transformed the texture into the basal texture. In particular, the effect of rapid cooling on refining the recrystallized grains is also obvious.Different extrusion conditions influence the mechanical properties of the Mg-2Gd-0.3Zr alloy through the grain size, proportion of non-recrystallization region and texture type. | Tianshuo Zhao Yaobo Hu Chao Zhang Bing He Tianxu Zheng Aitao Tang Fusheng Pan | 2022 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2022,10,2: | 4

In-situ transformed Mott-Schottky heterointerface in silver/manganese oxide nanorods boosting oxygen reduction, oxygen evolution, and hydrogen evolution reactions显示文摘The development of non-platinum group metal(non-PGM)and efficient multifunctional electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),oxygen evolution reaction(OER),and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)with high activity and stability remains a great challenge.Herein,by in-situ transforming silver manganese composite oxide heterointerface into boosted Mott-Schottky heterointerface through a facile carbon reduction strategy,a nanorod-like silver/manganese oxide with superior multifunctional catalytic activities for ORR,OER and HER and stability was obtained. The nanorod-like silver/manganese oxide with Mott-Schottky heterointerface(designated as Ag/Mn_(3)O_(4))exhibits an ORR half-wave potential of 0.831 V(vs.RHE)in 0.1 M KOH,an OER overpotential of 338 mV and a HER overpotential of 177 mV at the current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)in 1 M KOH,contributing to its noble-metal benchmarks comparable performance in aqueous aluminum-air(Al-air)battery and laboratorial overall water splitting electrolytic cell.Moreover,in-situ electrochemical Raman and synchrotron radiation spectroscopic measurements were conducted to further illustrate the catalytic mechanism of Ag/Mn_(3)O_(4)Mott-Schottky heterointerface towards various electrocatalytic reactions. At the heterointerface, the Ag phase serves as the electron donor and the active phase for ORR and HER,while the Mn_(3)O_(4)phase serves as the electron acceptor and the active phase for OER,respectively. This work deepens the understanding of the Mott-Schottky effect on electrocatalysis and fills in the gap in fundamental physical principles that are behind measured electrocatalytic activity, which offers substantial implications for the rational design of cost-effective multifunctional electrocatalysts with Mott-Schottky effect. | Ruiqi Cheng Kaiqi Li Huanxin Li Fengzhan Sun Xiaoqian He Tianshuo Zhao Jiao Zhang Chaopeng Fu | 2024 | Nano Research2024,17,5: | 0
Atomically Dispersed Iron Active Sites Promoting Reversible Redox Kinetics and Suppressing Shuttle Effect in Aluminum-Sulfur Batteries显示文摘Rechargeable aluminum-sulfur(Al-S)batteries have been considered as a highly potential energy storage system owing to the high theoretical capacity, good safety, abundant natural reserves, and low cost of Al and S.However, the research progress of Al-S batteries is limited by the slow kinetics and shuttle effect of soluble polysulfides intermediates.Herein,an interconnected free-standing interlayer of iron sin-gle atoms supported on porous nitrogen-doped carbon nanofibers(FeSAs-NCF)on the separator is developed and used as both catalyst and chemical barrier for Al-S batteries. The atomically dispersed iron active sites(Fe-N_(4))are clearly identified by aberration-corrected high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy and X-ray absorption near-edge structure. The Al-S battery with the FeSAs-NCF shows an improved specific capacity of 780 mAh g^(−1)and enhanced cycle stability. As evidenced by experimental and theoretical results, the atomically dispersed iron active centers on the separator can chemically adsorb the polysulfides and accelerate reaction kinetics to inhibit the shuttle effect and promote the reversible conversion between aluminum polysulfides, thus improving the electrochemical performance of the Al-S battery. This work provides a new way that can not only promote the conversion of aluminum sulfides but also suppress the shuttle effect in Al-S batteries. | Fei Wang Min Jiang Tianshuo Zhao Pengyu Meng Jianmin Ren Zhaohui Yang Jiao Zhang Chaopeng Fu Baode Sun | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,10: | 0
Highly uniform Co-Cu bimetallic sulfides for rechargeable alkaline aqueous zinc batteries显示文摘Rechargeable alkaline aqueous zinc batteries(RAZBs)have attracted increasing attention. However, most RAZBs are hindered by the limited availability of cathode materials. The practical electrochemical performance of most cathode materials is lower than the theoretical value due to their poor electrical conductivity and low utilization capacity. In this work,we develop a facile hydrothermal procedure to prepare highly uniform bimetallic sulfides as novel cathode materials for RAZBs.Copper-cobalt binary metallic oxides materials possess higher conductivity and larger capacity compared with their mono-metal oxides compounds due to bimetallic synergistic effects and multiple oxidation states.Furthermore, bimetallic sulfide compounds have smaller bond energy and longer bond length than their oxides, leading to less structural damage, faster kinetics of electrochemical reactions, and better stability. The as-prepared Co-Cu bimetallic sulfides show enhanced electrochemical performance due to various valences of Co and Cu as well as the existence of S.As a result, aqueous Zn/CuCo_(2)S_(4) battery shows a high specific capacity of 117.4 mAh/g at 4 A/g and a good cycle life of over 8000 cycles.Based on PANa hydrogel electrolytes,a flexible Zn/CuCo_(2)S_(4) battery demonstrates excellent cycling stability. This battery can also meet the requirements of electronic devices with different shapes and performs well in extreme environments, such as freezing, drilling, and hammering. This work opens new avenues to obtain high-rate and long-life cathode materials for RAZBs by utilizing the synergistic effects of bimetallic sulfides and provides a new platform for flexible energy storage devices. | Xiaofang Bai Yuwei Zhao Mangwei Cui Tianshuo Guo Zijie Tang Chuan Li Heng Gao Shuo Yang Lingzhi Zhao Chunyi Zhi Hongfei Li | 2024 | Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,2: | 0
Rational design of vitamin C/defective carbon van der Waals heterostructure for enhanced activity, durability and storage stability toward oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘Metal-free defective carbon materials with abundant active sites have been widely studied as low-cost and efficient oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalysts in metal-air batteries. However, the active sites in defective carbon are easily subjected to serious oxidation or hydroxylation during ORR or storage, leading to rapid degradation of activity.Herein,we design a van der Waals heterostructure comprised of vitamin C(VC)and defective carbon(DC)to not only boost the activity but also enhance the durability and storage stability of the DC-VC electrocatalyst. The formation of VC van der Waals between DC and VC is demonstrated to be an effective strategy to protect the defect active sites from oxidation and hydroxylation degradation, thus significantly enhancing the electrochemical durability and storage anti-aging performance. Moreover, the DC-VC van der Waals can reduce the reaction energy barrier to facilitate the ORR.These findings are also confirmed by operando Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations. It is necessary to mention that the preparation of this DC-VC electrocatalyst can be scaled up,and the ORR performance of the largely produced electrocatalyst is demonstrated to be very consistent.Furthermore, the DC-VC-based aluminum-air batteries display very competitive power density with good performance maintenance. | Ruiqi Cheng Kaiqi Li Huanxin Li Tianshuo Zhao Yibo Wang Qingyue Xue Jiao Zhang Chaopeng Fu | 2024 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,88,1: | 0
A Rhythmic Motion Control Method Inspired by Board Shoe Racing for a Weight-Bearing Exoskeleton显示文摘To ensure the flexible walking of the weight-bearing exoskeleton robot, most researchers control the exoskeleton to follow the wearer’s movements and provide force to maintain the current dynamic state. However, due to the limitation of sensing information and computing power,it is difficult for the exoskeleton to provide the wearer reasonable and stable force only based on the dynamic model, especially in switching between swing phase and stance phase.Inspired by China’s traditional sport named board shoe racing,a walking control method based on the cooperation of the human and the exoskeleton is proposed in this paper for a lower-limb exoskeleton named PALExo.Under certain conditions, the exoskeleton itself can walk stably depending on the rhythm signals generated by the Central Pattern Generator(CPG).With certain initiative during walking,it can make proper adjustments according to the human movement. With the help of dynamic simulation software and Genetic Algorithm(GA),the optimized CPG parameters are obtained.Impedance control is introduced to increase the comfort of the wearer. The impedance parameters as well as the CPG parameters are tuned in real time based on feedback. The experiments were conducted with PALExo.The results demonstrate that PALExo can effectively assist the wearer walking with a 45-kg payload benefiting from the proposed method. | Tianshuo Wang Jie Zhao Dongbao Sui Sikai Zhao Yanhe Zhu | 2022 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2022,19,2: | 0
