| 1 | Identification and Validation of an Immune-related Prognostic Signature for Hepatocellular Carcinoma显示文摘Background and Aims:The immune system plays vital roles in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)initiation and progression.The present study aimed to construct an immune-gene related prognostic signature(IRPS)for predicting the prognosis of HCC patients.Methods:Gene expression data were retrieved from The Cancer Genome Atlas database.The IRPS was established via least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)and multivariate Cox regression analysis.The prognostic values of the IRPS were further validated using the International Cancer Genome Consortium(ICGC)dataset.Results:A total of 62 genes were identified as candidate immune-related prognostic genes.According to the results of Lasso and multivariate Cox regression analysis,we established an IRPS and confirmed its stability and reliability in the ICGC dataset.The IRPS was significantly associated with advanced clinicopathological characteristics.Both Cox regression analyses revealed that the IRPS could be independent risk factors influencing prognosis of HCC patients.The relationships between the IRPS and infiltration of immune cells demonstrated that the IRPS was associated with immune cell infiltration.Furthermore,a nomogram was constructed to estimate the survival probability of HCC patients.Conclusions:The IRPS was effective for predicting prognosis of HCC patients,which might serve as novel prognostic and therapeutic biomarkers for HCC. | Xinxin Xia Ping Tang Hui Liu Yuejun Li | 2021 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,6: | 3 |
| 2 | Protein identification and mRNA analysis of phyto-chrome-regulated genes in Arabidopsis under red light显示文摘Phytochromes are a family of plant photoreceptors that mediate physiological and developmental re- sponses to red and far-red light. According to the affymetrix ATH1 microarray, phytochrome A (phyA) and phytochrome B (phyB) together play a key role in transducing the Rc signals to light-responsive genes. In order to select those red light-responsive genes associated with phyA or phyB, a proteomic approach based on two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) was used to compare the protein ex- pression patterns of the phyAphyB double mutant and the wild type of Arabidopsis thaliana (col-4) which grew under constant red light conditions for 7 d. Thirty-two protein spots which exhibited dif- ferences in protein abundance were identified by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight/time of flight mass spectrometry. The expression of ten genes corresponding to ten protein spots was analyzed by a semiquantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. Two of the ten genes were confirmed by quantitative PCR (Q-PCR). The results showed that phytochromes may exert their function by regulating mRNA or protein expressions. | 8 | Soft Soil Site Characterization on the Coast of Yantai and Its Effect on Ground Motion Parameters显示文摘According to the Chinese GB50011-2001 code and the recommended provisions of FEMA-NEHRP and EUROCODE 8, by using shear wave velocity and borehole data, the site classification is evaluated for a typical soft soil site on the Yantai seacoast. The site seismic ground motion effect is analyzed and the influence of the coastal soil on design ground motion parameters is discussed. The results show that the brief site classification can not represent the real conditions of a soft soil site; the soft soil on the coast has a remarkable impact on the magnitude and spectrum of ground motion acceleration. The magnification on peak acceleration is bigger, however, due to the nonlinear deformation of the soil. | 9 | Statistical Analysis of the Dynamic Parameters of Silty Clay in the Beijing Area显示文摘Soil dynamic parameters,including dynamic shear modulus ratio and damping ratio,have important effects on the results of layered soil earthquake response. In this paper,the mean parameter values of silty clay in different depths are obtained after statistical analysis of the experimental soil dynamic data from 20 recent site seismic safety evaluation reports in the Beijing area. Furthermore,based on two typical engineering sites,the influence of four different soil dynamic parameters,the statistic mean values,experimental values, values recommended by Yuan Xiaoming,and the values recommended in the code for seismic safety evaluation of engineering sites( DB001-94) are analyzed. | 10 | A self-healing coating based on facile pH-responsive nanocontainers for corrosion protection of magnesium alloy显示文摘The preparation of pH-responsive nanocontainers by typical silane modification of the mesoporous silica nanoparticle(MSN)surface is usually high-cost,complex,and time-consuming,which remains a great challenge for effective corrosion protection of magnesium alloy.Here,a new strategy to construct pH-responsive nanocontainers(MSN-MBT@LDH)is demonstrated.The nanocontainers consist of corrosion inhibitor(2-mercaptobenzothiazole,MBT)loaded MSN core and layered double hydroxide(LDH)nanosheet shell serving as gatekeepers.The successful loading of MBT and encapsulation by LDH nanosheets were confirmed by a series of characterization such as scanning transmission electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(STEM-EDS)and N2 adsorption/desorption isotherms.The pH-responsive feature of the nanocontainers was demonstrated by determination of the MBT concentration in buffer solutions with different pH values.A smart corrosion protection system on Mg alloy is obtained by incorporating the synthesized nanocontainers into a self-assembled nanophase particle(SNAP)coating.The electrochemical tests and visual observations show that the hybrid coating has the best barrier properties and robustness in corrosion protection in NaCl corrosive solutions in comparison with the control coatings.The present method simplifies the synthesis processes of nanocontainers and eliminates the potential detrimental effect of excess gatekeepers on the coating.The findings provide new insights into the preparation of scalable nanocontainers.The self-healing coatings are expected to have widespread applications for corrosion protection of Mg alloy and other metals. | Yuejun Ouyang Lin-Xin Li Zhi-Hui Xie Lili Tang Fuhui Wang Chuan-Jian Zhong | 2022 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2022,10,3: | 0 |
