| 3 | Development and utilization of a new chemically-induced soybean library with a high mutation density显示文摘Mutagenized populations have provided important materials for introducing variation and identifying gene function in plants. In this study, an ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS)-induced soybean(Glycine max) population,consisting of 21,600 independent M_2 lines, was developed.Over 1,000 M_(4(5))families, with diverse abnormal phenotypes for seed composition, seed shape, plant morphology and maturity that are stably expressed across different environments and generations were identified. Phenotypic analysis of the population led to the identification of a yellow pigmentation mutant, gyl, that displayed significantly decreased chlorophyll(Chl) content and abnormal chloroplast development. Sequence analysis showed that gyl is allelic to Minn Gold, where a different single nucleotide polymorphism variation in the Mg-chelatase subunit gene(ChlI1a) results in golden yellow leaves. A cleaved amplified polymorphic sequence marker was developed and may be applied to marker-assisted selection for the golden yellow phenotype in soybean breeding. | 4 | Effect of pH,temperature and heating time on the formation of furan in sugar–glycine model systems显示文摘Furan(C4H4O)has been classified as a possible animal and human carcinogen by many international agencies.The formation of furan in three sugar–glycine models using glucose,fructose,and sucrose was investigated using headspace gas chromatography mass spectrometry method(HSGC–MS)with various dual combinations of three important heat processing conditions,i.e.pH,temperature,and heating time.Results indicated that furan levels from sugar–glycine model systems during the thermal processing can be attributed to selective sugar types,pH,temperature,and heating time.In glucose–glycine and fructose–glycine system,the lowest furan level was detected in acid condition but in sucrose–glycine system furan formed significantly lower(P<0.05)in acidic conditions the lowest furan level was found in alkaline conditions.The furan levels were observed to increase with heating time in all three model systems.Furthermore,less furan was generated in non-reducing sugar system(sucrose)than in reducing sugar system(glucose and fructose).Therefore,they demonstrate the possibility of limiting the formation of furan in heat processed foods by both the careful selection of carbohydrates(i.e.non-reducing sugars and reducing sugars)ingredients and appropriate processing conditions.©2013 Beijing Academy of Food Sciences.Production and hosting by Elsevier B.V.All rights reserved. | Shaoping Nie Jungen Huang Jielun Hu Yanan Zhang Sunan Wang Chang Li Massimo Marcone Mingyong Xie | 2013 | Food Science and Human Wellness2013,2,2: | 4 |
| 5 | Interference-Driven Designs of Nonlinear-Phase FIR Filter with Application in FBMC System显示文摘In the forthcoming 5G systems, new technologies, such as amorphous networks and non-orthogonal filter bank multicarriers(FBMC), provide an effective way to accommodate high-rate transmissions. Meanwhile, the prototype filter affects the adjacent channel interference, and therefore is important for FBMC systems. Besides, once the amorphous network is taken into account, the requirement for interference controlmust be much stricter. Accordingly, this paper focuses on the design of prototype filter with better ability of interference controlling, where we exploit the nonlinear phase FIR filter(NLPFF) instead of traditional linear phase FIR filter(LPFF) to achieve more optimization spaces under a small sacrifice of linear phase. In ourdesigns, both the amplitude and phase responsesare handled independently to approach the stopband performance enhancements, in while the nearly perfect reconstruction(NPR) conditionsare relaxed by pre-specified thresholds. | 6 | Identification of a novel seed size associated locus SW9-1 in soybean显示文摘Seed size is one of the vital traits determining seed appearance, quality, and yield. Untangling the genetic mechanisms regulating soybean 100-seed weight (100-SW), seed length and seed width across environments may provide a theoretical basis for improving seed yield. However, there are few reports related to QTL mapping of 100-SW across multiple ecological regions. In this study, 21 loci associated with seed size traits were identified using a genome-wide association of 5361 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) across three ecoregions in China, which could explain 8.12%–14.25% of the phenotypic variance respectively. A new locus, named as SW9-1 on chromosome 9 that explained 10.05%–10.93% of the seed weight variance was found significantly related to seed size traits, and was not previously reported. The selection effect analysis showed that SW9-1 locus has a relatively high phenotypic effect (13.67) on 100-SW, with a greater contribution by the accessions with bigger seeds (3.69) than the accessions with small seeds (1.66). Increases in seed weight were accompanied by increases in the frequency of SW9-1T allele, with >90% of the bred varieties with a 100-SW >30 g carrying SW9-1T. Analysis of SW9-1 allelic variation in additional soybean accessions showed that SW9-1T allele accounting for 13.83% of the wild accessions, while in 46.55% and 51.57% of the landraces and bred accessions, respectively, this results indicating that the SW9-1 locus has been subjected to artificial selection during the early stages of soybean breeding, especially the utilization of SW9-1T in edamame for big seed. These results suggest that SW9-1 is a novel and reliable locus associated with seed size traits, and might have an important implication for increasing soybean seed weight in molecular design breeding. | 8 | Comparative population genomics dissects the genetic basis of seven domestication traits in jujube显示文摘Jujube(Ziziphus jujuba Mill.)is an important perennial fruit tree with a range of interesting horticultural traits.It was domesticated from wild jujube(Ziziphus acidojujuba),but the genomic variation dynamics and genetic changes underlying its horticultural traits during domestication are poorly understood.Here,we report a comprehensive genome variation map based on the resequencing of 350 accessions,including wild,semi-wild and cultivated jujube plants,at a>15×depth.Using the combination of a genome-wide association study(GWAS)and selective sweep analysis,we identified several candidate genes potentially involved in regulating seven domestication traits in jujube.For fruit shape and kernel shape,we integrated the GWAS approach with transcriptome profiling data,expression analysis and the transgenic validation of a candidate gene to identify a causal gene,ZjFS3,which encodes an ethyleneresponsive transcription factor.Similarly,we identified a candidate gene for bearing-shoot length and the number of leaves per bearing shoot and two candidate genes for the seed-setting rate using GWAS.In the selective sweep analysis,we also discovered several putative genes for the presence of prickles on bearing shoots and the postharvest shelf life of fleshy fruits.This study outlines the genetic basis of jujube domestication and evolution and provides a rich genomic resource for mining other horticulturally important genes in jujube. | Mingxin Guo Zhongren Zhang Yanwei Cheng Sunan Li Peiyin Shao Qiang Yu Junjie Wang Gan Xu Xiaotian Zhang Jiajia Liu Linlin Hou Hanxiao Liu Xusheng Zhao | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 2 |

| 11 | Remote plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition of gallium oxide thin films with NH_3 plasma pretreatment显示文摘High quality gallium oxide(Ga_2O_3) thin films are deposited by remote plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition(RPEALD) with trimethylgallium(TMG) and oxygen plasma as precursors. By introducing in-situ NH3 plasma pretreatment on the substrates, the deposition rate of Ga_2O_3 films on Si and GaN are remarkably enhanced, reached to 0.53 and 0.46 ?/cycle at 250 °C,respectively. The increasing of deposition rate is attributed to more hydroxyls(–OH) generated on the substrate surfaces after NH3 pretreatment, which has no effect on the stoichiometry and surface morphology of the oxide films, but only modifies the surface states of substrates by enhancing reactive site density. Ga_2O_3 film deposited on GaN wafer is crystallized at 250 °C, with an epitaxial interface between Ga_2O_3 and GaN clearly observed.
