1Grain Size and Wettability of TiO_2/SiO_2 Photocatalytic Composite Thin Filing显示文摘The uniform transparent TiO2/SiO2 photocatalytic composite thin films are prepared by sol-gel method on the soda lime glass substrates, and characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), BET surface area, FTIR spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). It was found that the addition of SiO2 to TiO2 thin films can suppress the grain growth of TiO2 crystal, increase the hydroxyl content on the surface of TiO2 films, lower the contact angle for water on TiO2 films and enhance the hydrophilic property of TiO2 films. 4Effects of disinhibition on spatiotemporal pattern of neuronal first recruitment in neuronal networks显示文摘The propagation of neuronal activities is a key feature to understanding information processing in networks. The analysis based on first-spikes of bursts in turn plays an important role in the research of neuronal activity propagation. Our focus here is to investigate how spatiotemporal patterns of neuronal first-spikes are affected by disinhibition. Multi-electrode arrays were used to record stimulation-evoked bursts of multiple neurons in randomly cultured neuronal networks. Both the precise timing of and the rank relationships between first-spikes were analyzed. Compared with evoked bursts in the network's native state, the precise first-spike latencies in its dis-inhibited state are more consistent and the propagation of its bursting activities is much faster. 6Oxidation Protective C/SiC/Si-SiC Multilayer Coating for Carbon/Carbon Composites Applying at 1873 K显示文摘A C/SiC/Si-SiC multilayer coating for protecting carbon/carbon(C/C) composites against oxidation was prepared by slurry and pack cementation.X-ray diffraction(XRD) and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS) analysis showed that the inner coating obtained from the slurry and pack cementation was a C/SiC gradient layer acting as bonding layer,and the exterior coating formed in the second pack cementation was a Si-SiC double phase coating.Oxidation tests at 1873 K in air showed that the coating exhibited excellent oxidation protective ability and thermal shock resistance.The coating could effectively protect C/C composites from oxidation at 1873 K in air for 170 h and undergo the thermal cycling between 1873 K and room temperature for 8 cycles.The weight loss of the coated C/C composites is due to the formation of cracks and holes in the coating and the volatilization of SiO2 glass at high temperature.Yulei Zhang,Hejun Li,Xinfa Qiang and Kezhi Li C/C Composites Research Center,State Key Laboratory of Solidification Processing,Northwestern Polytechnical University,Xi an 710072,China 2010Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,12:4
7Influences of low-Ti substitution for La and Mg on the electrochemical and kinetic characteristics of AB_3-type hydrogen storage alloy electrodes显示文摘The(La0.67Mg0.33)1-xTixNi2.75Co0.25(x = 0,0.05,0.10,0.15 and 0.20,at%) alloys were synthesized by arc melting and subsequent heat solid-liquid diffusing method.The structure,electrochemical properties and kinetic characteristics of the alloys were investigated systematically.The results showed that all the alloys mainly consisted of the(La,Mg)Ni3,LaNi5 phases,and the lattice parameters and the cell volumes of the(La,Mg)Ni3 and LaNi5 phases decreased with increasing Ti content.The alloy electrodes could be activated to reach their maximum discharge capacity within five cycles.The cycle life after 100 charge/discharge cycles(C100/Cmax) and the high-rate dischargeability at a discharge current density of 1200 mA/g first increased and then decreased.All the results showed that low-Ti content in AB3-type hydrogen storage alloys was beneficial to improvements of the overall electrochemical properties,and the optimum overall electrochemical performance of the alloy electrodes was obtained when x = 0.05.DONG ZhenWei1,2,WU YaoMing1,MA LiQun2,SHEN XiaoDong2 & WANG LiMin1 1 State Key Laboratory of Rare Earth Resource Utilization,Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry,Chinese Academy of Sciences,C hangchun 130022,China 2 College of Material Science and Engineering,Nanjing University of Technology,Nanjing 210009,China 2010Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,1:2
