Titanium mesh for bone augmentation in oral implantology: current application and progress显示文摘Guided bone regeneration(GBR)is an effective and simple method for bone augmentation, which is often used to reconstruct the alveolar ridge when the bone defect occurs in the implant area.Titanium mesh has expanded the indications of GBR technology due to its excellent mechanical properties and biocompatibility,so that the GBR technology can be used to repair alveolar ridges with larger bone defects, and can obtain excellent and stable bone augmentation results.Currently,GBR with titanium mesh has various clinical applications, including different clinical procedures.Bone graft materials, titanium mesh covering methods, and titanium mesh fixing methods are also optional. Moreover, the research of GBR with titanium mesh has led to multifarious progresses in digitalization and material modification. This article reviews the properties of titanium mesh and the difference of titanium mesh with other barrier membranes;the current clinical application of titanium mesh in bone augmentation;common complications and management and prevention methods in the application of titanium mesh;and research progress of titanium mesh in digitization and material modification.Hoping to provide a reference for further improvement of titanium mesh in clinical application and related research of titanium mesh. | Yu Xie Songhang Li Tianxu Zhang Chao Wang Xiaoxiao Cai | 2020 | International Journal of Oral Science2020,12,4: | 22
Effects of tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes on osteoarthritis显示文摘Osteoarthritis, a disorder characterized by articular cartilage deterioration, varying degrees of inflammation, and chondrocyte apoptosis, is the most common chronic joint disease. To slow or reverse its progression, inflammation should be inhibited, and chondrocyte proliferation should be promoted. Tetrahedral framework nucleic acids can be internalized by chondrocytes(even inflammatory chondrocytes) and can enhance their proliferation and migration. Wogonin, a naturally occurring flavonoid, suppresses oxidative stress and inhibits inflammation. In this study, tetrahedral framework nucleic acids were successfully selfassembled and used to load wogonin. We confirmed the effective formation of tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes by dynamic light scattering, zeta potential analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and fluorescence spectrophotometry. Tetrahedral framework nucleic acids, wogonin, and especially tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes effectively alleviated inflammation in vitro and in vivo and prevented cartilage destruction. In addition, these materials remarkably downregulated the expression of inflammatory mediators and matrix metalloproteinases, upregulated chondrogenic markers, and promoted tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1 and B-cell lymphoma 2 expression. In vivo, after treatment with tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes, the bone mineral density in regenerated tissues was much higher than that found in the untreated groups. Histologically, the complexes enhanced new tissue regeneration, significantly suppressed chondrocyte apoptosis, and promoted chondrogenic marker expression. They also inhibited cell apoptosis, increased chondrogenic marker expression, and suppressed the expression of inflammatory mediators in osteoarthritis. Therefore, we believe that tetrahedral framework nucleic acid/wogonin complexes can be used as an injectable form of therapy for osteoarthritis. | Sirong Shi Yang Chen Taoran Tian Songhang Li Shiyu Lin Yuxin Zhang Xiaoru Shao Tao Zhang Yunfeng Lin Xiaoxiao Cai | 2020 | Bone Research2020,8,1: | 9
Hard tissue stability after guided bone regeneration: a comparison between digital titanium mesh and resorbable membrane显示文摘Guided bone regeneration(GBR)uses resorbable and non-resorbable membranes as biological barriers. This study compared the differences in hard tissue stability between GBR using evidence-based digital titanium mesh and resorbable collagen membranes during implant placement.A total of 40 patients(65 implant sites)were enrolled and divided into two groups:resorbable membrane and digital titanium mesh groups. The alveolar bone was analyzed at two-and three-dimensional levels using conebeam computed tomography and by reconstructing and superimposing the hard tissues at four time points:preoperatively, postoperatively, before second-stage surgery, and 1 year after loading. The use of digital titanium mesh showed less alveolar bone resorption in vertical and horizontal directions two-dimensionally before the second-stage surgery and 1 year after loading.Regarding volumetric stability, the percentage of resorption after 6 months of healing with resorbable membrane coverage reached 37.5%.However,it was only 23.4%with titanium mesh.Although postoperative bone volume was greater at all labial sites with resorbable membrane than with digital titanium mesh, after substantial bone resorption within 1 year of loading, the labial bone thickness at the upper part of implants was thinner with resorbable membrane than with digital titanium mesh.Furthermore, digital titanium meshes made according to ideal bone arch contour reduced soft tissue irritation, and the exposure rate was only 10%.Therefore,although both resorbable membrane and digital titanium mesh in GBR were able to successfully reconstruct the bone defect, digital titanium meshes were better at maintaining the hard tissue volume in the osteogenic space. | Songhang Li Junyi Zhao Yu Xie Taoran Tian Tianxu Zhang Xiaoxiao Cai | 2021 | International Journal of Oral Science2021,13,4: | 8
The protective effect of tetrahedral framework nucleic acids on periodontium under inflammatory conditions显示文摘Periodontitis is a common disease that causes periodontium defects and tooth loss.Controlling inflammation and tissue regeneration are two key strategies in the treatment of periodontitis.Tetrahedral framework nucleic acids can modulate multiple biological behaviors, and thus, their biological applications have been widely explored. In this study,we investigated the effect of tFNAs on periodontium under inflammatory conditions.Lipopolysaccharide and silk ligature were used to induce inflammation in vivo and in vitro. The results displayed that tFNAs decreased the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and levels of cellular reactive oxygen species in periodontal ligament stem cells, which promoted osteogenic differentiation.Furthermore, animal experiments showed that tFNAs ameliorated the inflammation of the periodontium and protect periodontal tissue, especially reducing alveolar bone absorption by decreasing inflammatory infiltration and inhibiting osteoclast formation. These findings suggest that tFNAs can significantly improve the therapeutic effect of periodontitis and have the great potential significance in the field of periodontal tissue regeneration. | Mi Zhou Shaojingya Gao Xiaolin Zhang Tianxu Zhang Tao Zhang Taoran Tian Songhang Li Yunfeng Lin Xiaoxiao Cai | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,6: | 5
Prediction Model of Coal Reservoir Pressure and its Implication for the Law of Coal Reservoir Depressurization显示文摘The main methods of coalbed methane(CBM)development are drainage and depressurization, and a precise prediction of coal reservoir pressure is thus crucial for the evaluation of reservoir potentials and the formulation of reasonable development plans. This work established a new reservoir pressure prediction model based on the material balance equation(MBE)of coal reservoir, which considers the self-regulating effects of coal reservoirs and the dynamic change of equivalent drainage area(EDA).According to the proposed model, the reservoir pressure can be predicted based on reservoir condition data and the actual production data of a single well.Compared with traditional reservoir pressure prediction models which regard EDA as a fixed value, the proposed model can better predict the average pressure of reservoirs. Moreover, orthogonal experiments were designed to evaluate the sensitivity of reservoir parameters on the reservoir pressure prediction results of this proposed model. The results show that the saturation of irreducible water is the most sensitive parameter, followed by Langmuir volume and reservoir porosity, and Langmuir pressure is the least sensitive parameter. In addition, the pressure drop of reservoirs is negatively correlated with the saturation of irreducible water and the Langmuir volume, while it is positively correlated with porosity. This work analyzed the reservoir pressure drop characteristics of the CBM wells in the Shizhuangnan Block of the Qinshui Basin, and the results show that the CBM reservoir depressurization can be divided into three types,i.e.,rapidly drop type,medium-term stability type, and slowly drop type. The drainage features of wells were reasonably interpreted based on the comprehensive analysis of the reservoir depressurization type;the latter was coupled to the corresponding permeability dynamic change characteristics, eventually proving the applicability of the proposed model. | YAN Xinlu ZHANG Songhang TANG Shuheng LI Zhongcheng WANG Kaifeng YI Yongxiang DANG Feng HU Qiuping | 2019 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3: | 2
Paleoenvironment controls on organic matter accumulation in transitional shales from the eastern Ordos Basin,China显示文摘To investigate the paleoenvironmental controls on organic matter accumulation of Upper Paleozoic shales in the eastern Ordos Basin,China,26 shale samples were collected from two wells drilled into the Shanxi and Taiyuan Formations. The total organic carbon(TOC)content, mineral compositions and elemental geochemistry of the samples were analyzed.Quartz(35.42%)and clay minerals(48.34%)are the dominant minerals and trace elements(Li,Cs,Cu,V,Co,and Cr)are commonly enriched in the shale samples compared to the Upper Continental Crust.C-values(ranging from 0.2 to 4.5),chemical indices of weathering(CIW)values(48.82 to 99.11),and Sr/Cu ratios(1.00 to 11.05)suggest that the paleoclimate was humid in the study area during the Late Paleozoic.Elemental redox indices(e.g.,Al_(2)O_(3)/(Al_(2)O_(3)+Fe_(2)O_(3)),V/Cr,Ni/Co,V/(V+Ni)and U/Th)indicate a dysoxic to oxic paleoenvironment characterized by transi-tional sedimentary deposits in a continental margin setting. In addition, chemical index of alteration(CIA,ranging from 77.92%to 98.36%)and CIW(89.19%to 99.11%)values suggest that there was intense chemical weathering in the study area, while the Al_(2)O_(3)-CaO^(*)+Na_(2)O-K_(2)O(A-CN-K)ternary diagram demonstrates that the shales were not subjected to potassium metasomatism during diagen-esis.Al_(2)O_(3)/TiO_(2)and TiO_(2)/Zr ratios,as well as REE characteristics suggest a felsic source rocks and discount seawater as an REE source.Ce anomalies indicate an oxic environment with terrigenous input during black shale deposition, and LREE enrichment with negative Eu anomalies suggests that both shale formations were affected by detrital input rather than hydrothermal fluids. The correlation of TOC(ranging from 1.10%to 6.39%,with an average of 2.77%)with trace elemental redox indices(Sr/Cu,Sr/Ba,V/Cr,and U/Th)indicates that a warm-humid,dysoxic to oxic environment preserved much of the organic matter. | Jianwei LV Songhang ZHANG Ning YANG Chunbo FU Xinlu YAN Yang LI | 2021 | Frontiers of Earth Science2021,15,4: | 1

A tetrahedral framework nucleic acid based multifunctional nanocapsule for tumor prophylactic mRNA vaccination显示文摘Synthetic antigen-encoding mRNA plays an increasingly significant role in tumor vaccine technology owing to its antigen-specific immune-activation. However, its immune efficacy is challenged by inferior delivery efficiency and demand for suitable adjuvants. Here, we develop a novel mRNA nanovaccine based on a multifunctional nanocapsule, which is a dual-adjuvant formulation composed of cytosine-phosphateguanine motifs loaded tetrahedral framework nucleic acid(CpG-tFNA) and an immunopeptide murine β-defensin 2(mDF2β). This m RNA nanovaccine successfully achieves intracellular delivery, antigen expression and presentation of dendritic cells, and proliferation of antigen-specific T cells. In a tumor prophylactic vaccination model, it exerts an excellent inhibitory effect on lymphoma occurrence through cellular immunity. This mRNA nanovaccine has promising prophylactic applications in tumors and many other diseases. | Yuhao Liu Songhang Li Shiyu Lin Sirong Shi Taoran Tian Bowen Zhang Tao Zhang Yunfeng Lin | 2023 | Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,7: | 0
Minimally invasive techniques for lateral maxillary sinus floor elevation: small lateral window and one-stage surgery—a 2–5-year retrospective study显示文摘This study aimed to introduce a minimally invasive technique for maxillary sinus floor elevation using the lateral approach(lSFE)and to determine the factors that influence the stability of the grafted area in the sinus cavity.Thirty patients(30 implants)treated with lSFE using minimally invasive techniques from 2015 to 2019 were included in the study.Five aspects of the implant(central, mesial, distal, buccal, and palatal bone heights[BHs])were measured using cone-beam computed tomography(CBCT)before implant surgery, immediately after surgery(T0),6 months after surgery(T1),and at the last follow-up visit(T2).Patients’characteristics were collected.A small bone window(height,(4.40±0.74)mm;length,(6.26±1.03)mm)was prepared. No implant failed during the follow-up period(3.67±1.75)years.Three of the 30 implants exhibited perforations.Changes in BH of the five aspects of implants showed strong correlations with each other and BH decreased dramatically before second-stage surgery.Residual bone height(RBH)did not significantly influence BH changes, whereas smoking status and type of bone graft materials were the potentially influential factors.During the approximate three-year observation period,lSFE with a minimally invasive technique demonstrated high implant survival rate and limited bone reduction in grafted area.In conclusion,lSFE using minimally invasive techniques was a viable treatment option.Patients who were nonsmokers and whose sinus cavity was filled with deproteinized bovine bone mineral(DBBM)had significantly limited bone resorption in grafted area. | Shaojingya Gao Yao Jiang Yangxue Yao Songhang Li Xiaoxiao Cai | 2023 | International Journal of Oral Science2023,15,3: | 0
Geochemical Characteristics and Development Significances of Constant and Trace Elements from Coalbed Methane Co-Produced Water:A Case Study of the Shizhuangnan Block, the Southern Qinshui Basin显示文摘As an unconventional natural gas resource, coalbed methane(CBM)development releases a large amount of CBM wells co-produced water.Geochemical characteristics of the co-produced water provide an essential foundation for the production dynamics of CBM reservoirs if the impacts of fracturing fluids and other aquifers can be ignored. In the Shizhuangnan Block of the southern Qinshui Basin, constant and trace elements in CBM co-produced water from the wellheads were collected and determined, which is applied to assess water source, fracturing fluid effect, and CBM production.Based on principle component analysis and hierarchical clustering analysis, the water samples are divided into four categories. It suggests that different characteristics affected by water-rock interaction, reservoir environment, aquifer recharge, and hydraulic fracturing result in the various ratios of Na^(+)/Cl^(-),alkalinity(HCO_(3)^(-)+CO_(3)^(2-))/Cl^(-)and other specific rules.Moreover,Cl^(-)is selected as a dividing line for complete fracturing fluid flow back, associated with organic-bound chlorine complexes in the original coal seam water.Compared to constant elements, there is a significant correlation between Li and Sr concentrations and CBM productivity,so templates regarding trace elements can be used to distinguish various sources of the co-produced water. | Yang Li Shuheng Tang Jian Chen Songhang Zhang Zhaodong Xi | 2024 | Journal of Earth Science2024,35,1: | 0
