2A Review of Rotating Stall in Vaneless Diffuser of Centrifugal Compressor显示文摘At present, off-design centrifugal compressor suffers from great instabilities, such as rotating stall and surge, which lead to work failure, strong pressure fluctuations, and violent vibrations of the entire system. One cause of these instabilities is the rotating stall occurring in vaneless diffuser. In this review, recent researches on rotating stall of vaneless diffuser in centrifugal compressor are reviewed, and its inductive mechanism and characteristic description are emphatically introduced. In vaneless diffuser, the rotating stall starts up and fully develops under non-design conditions with the characteristic of increasing pressure fluctuation amplitude. The negative effects of rotating stall include reverse flow and vortex, both of which have significant effects on the instability of centrifugal compressors. Some improvement methods of rotating stall are also introduced, and a lot of examples are given. 3Multi-belts coil longitudinal guided wave magnetostrictive transducer for ferromagnetic pipes testing显示文摘A new ultrasonic transducer with multi-belts coil for generating and receiving longitudinal guided wave in ferromagnetic material pipes is proposed.The theory backgrounds and transduction principle of the proposed transducer are presented and ana- lyzed.To verify the performance of the transducer,several experiments are performed.The performance of inspecting crack, frequency-tuned characteristic,effect of bias static magnetic field and dynamic magnetic field,lift-off effect and effect of the period number of the exciting current are investigated.The results show that the proposed coils not only could tune the center frequency but also could improve the amplitude and signal-to-noise(SNR)of the detected signals.Bias static magnetic field and dynamic magnetic field are two important factors influencing the amplitude of the longitudinal guided wave.The amplitude of the longitudinal guided wave is exponentially decreased versus the lift-off distance of the transmitter and receiver.Period number of excitation signal could influence the amplitude and wave width of the ultrasonic wave.The proposed transducer could easily control the wave modes and would be a better choice for pipes’monitoring and inspection compared to traditional single-belt coil transducer.HAO KuanSheng HUANG SongLing ZHAO Wei WANG Shen 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,2:5
4High-quality genome assembly of 'Cuiguan' pear (Pyrus pyrifolia) as a reference genome for identifying regulatory genes and epigenetic modifications responsible for bud dormancy显示文摘Dormancy-associated MADS-box(DAM)genes serve as crucial regulators of the endodormancy cycle in rosaceous plants.Although pear DAM genes have been identified previously,the lack of a high-quality reference genome and techniques to study gene function have prevented accurate genome-wide analysis and functional verification of such genes.Additionally,the contribution of other genes to the regulation of endodormancy release remains poorly understood.In this study,a high-quality genome assembly for'Cuiguan'pear(Pyrus pyrifolia),which is a leading cultivar with a low chilling requirement cultivated in China,was constructed using PacBio and Hi-C technologies.Using this genome sequence,we revealed that pear DAM genes were tandemly clustered on Chr8 and Chr15 and were differentially expressed in the buds between'Cuiguan'and the high-chilling-requirement cultivar'Suli'during the dormancy cycle.Using a virus-induced gene silencing system,we determined the repressive effects of DAM genes on bud break.Several novel genes potentially involved in the regulation of endodormancy release were identified by RNA sequencing and H3K4me3 chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing analyses of‘Suli'buds during artificial chilling using the new reference genome.Our findings enrich the knowledge of the regulatory mechanism underlying endodormancy release and chilling requirements and provide a foundation for the practical regulation of dormancy release in fruit trees as an adaptation to climate change.Yuhao Gao Qinsong Yang Xinhui Yan Xinyue Wu Feng Yang Jianzhao Li Jia Wei Junbei Ni Mudassar Ahmad Songling Bai Yuanwen Teng 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:5

7From octahedral structure motif to sub-nanosecond phase transitions in phase change materials for data storage显示文摘Phase change random access memory(PCRAM) has been successfully applied in the computer storage architecture, as storage class memory, to bridge the performance gap between DRAM and Flashbased solid-state drive due to its good scalability, 3 D-integration ability, fast operation speed and compatible with CMOS technology. Focusing on phase change materials and PCRAM for decades, we have successfully developed 128 Mb embedded PCRAM chips, which can meet the requirements of most embedded systems.3 D Xpoint(3 D PCRAM), invented by Intel and Micron, has been regarded as a new breakthrough in the last 25 years since the application of NAND in 1989, which represents state-of-the-art memory technology.This technology has some remarkable features, such as the confined device structure with 20 nm size, the metal crossbar electrodes to reduce the resistance variations in PCRAM arrays, and the ovonic threshold switching selector that can provide a high drive current and a low leakage current. A good understanding of phase change mechanism is of great help to design new phase change materials with fast operation speed,low power consumption and long-lifetime. In this paper, we firstly review the development of PCRAM and different understandings on phase change mechanisms in recent years, and then propose a new view on the mechanism, which is based on the octahedral structure motifs and vacancies. Octahedral structure motifs are generally found in both amorphous and crystalline phase change materials. They are considered to be the basic units during phase transition, which are severely defective in the amorphous phase. These configurations turn into more ordered ones after minor local rearrangements, the growth of which results in the crystallization of rocksalt(RS) phase with a large amount of vacancies in the cation sites. Further driven by thermodynamic driving force, these vacancies move and layer along certain directions; consequently, the metastable RS structure transforms into the stable hexagonal(HEX) structure. Based on our results, we find that reversible phase transition between amorphous phase and RS phase, without further changing into HEX phase, would greatly decrease the required power consumption. 8Evaluation of Surface Cracks Using Magnetic Flux LeakageTesting显示文摘The magnetic field distribution characteristics of surface cracks with various widths are discussed based on finite element (FEM) results. The crack depth was 0.20 mm, the width range was from 0.02 to 1.00 mm. The results showed that crack width and lift-off (the distance between surface and sensor) will influence signals. Discussed in this paper is the influence of various lift-off parameters on the peak to peak values of the normal component in magnetic flux leakage testing. 9Aerodynamic Noise Characteristics During Evolution of Rotating Stall in Centrifugal Fan显示文摘基于节流阀函数及宽带噪声源模型,对电厂常用的G4?73型后向式离心风机在旋转失速状态下的气动噪声特性进行了数值研究。分析离心风机分别在设计工况、失速先兆的产生过程、失速先兆发展为失速团的三维演化过程及失速团沿周向传播过程中风机内部的气动噪声特性,揭示了旋转失速非稳定流动现象对气动噪声分布的影响规律。结果表明,失速先兆发生后叶轮附近旋涡噪声对应的高噪区经历了沿径向、周向和轴向的三维非定常演化过程,高噪区从两个变为一个;失速发生后,旋涡噪声占主要部分,高噪区保持与失速团相同的速度沿周向传播。文中分析了失速团与蜗舌对离心风机气动噪声的影响机制。研究结果对完善旋转失速的理论体系及通过噪声对旋转失速进行预估具有重要意义。ZHANG Lei WANG Songling HU Chenxing KONG Chuimao 2013中国电机工程学报2013,33,32:3
10Flow Field Investigation in a Trapezoidal Duct with Swirl Flow Induced by Impingement Jets显示文摘An enlarged model of trapezoidal duct near the leading-edge in the blade is built up. The effects of impingement jets, swirl flow, cross flow and effusion flow are considered. Experiments are performed to measure flow fields in this confined passage and exit holes on one of its side walls. Cross flow and effusion flow are induced in the channel by the outflow of side exit hole (SEH) and film cooling hole (FCH), which are oriented on one end wall and bottom wall of the passage. Detailed flow structures are measured for two impingement angles of 35° and 45° with 6 combinations of outflow ratios. Results show that the small jets impinge the target wall effectively while the large jets contribute to inducing and impelling a strong counter-clockwise vortex in the upper part of the passage. Cross flow plays a dominate role for the flow structures in the passage and exit holes. It deflects jets, enhances swirl and deteriorates side exit conditions. Impingement angle is another significant factor for the flow characteristics. Its effect reveals more evidently with cross flow. 11Characterization of polyclonal antibodies against nonstructural protein 9 from the porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus显示文摘Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome(PRRS) is considered to be one of the most important infectious diseases impacting the swine industry and is characterized by reproductive failure in late term gestation in sows and respiratory disease in pigs of all ages.The nonstructural protein 9 gene,Nsp9,encoding the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase,is generally regarded as fairly conserved when compared to other viral proteins.Antibodies against Nsp9 will be of great importance for the diagnosis and treatment of the causal agent,PRRS virus.A study was undertaken to generate polyclonal antibodies against the immunodominant Nsp9.For this purpose,the Nsp9 was expressed in Escherichia coli and subsequently used as an antigen to immunize New Zealand rabbits.Antiserum was identified via an indirect ELISA,and then verified based on the ability to react with both naturally and artificially expressed Nsp9.Results of virus neutralization test showed that this antiserum could not neutralize the PRRSV.Nevertheless,this antiserum as a diagnostic core reagent should prove invaluable for further investigations into the mechanism of PRRS pathogenesis.Mengmeng ZHAO Juanjuan QIAN Jiexiong XIE Tiantian CUI Songling FENG Guoqiang WANG Ruining WANG Guihong ZHANG 2016Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2016,3,2:2
12Bud endodormancy in deciduous fruit trees:advances and prospects显示文摘Bud endodormancy is a complex physiological process that is indispensable for the survival,growth,and development of deciduous perennial plants.The timely release of endodormancy is essential for flowering and fruit production of deciduous fruit trees.A better understanding of the mechanism of endodormancy will be of great help in the artificial regulation of endodormancy to cope with climate change and in creating new cultivars with different chilling requirements.Studies in poplar have clarified the mechanism of vegetative bud endodormancy,but the endodormancy of floral buds in fruit trees needs further study.In this review,we focus on the molecular regulation of endodormancy induction,maintenance and release in floral buds of deciduous fruit trees.We also describe recent advances in quantitative trait loci analysis of chilling requirements in fruit trees.We discuss phytohormones,epigenetic regulation,and the detailed molecular network controlling endodormancy,centered on SHORT VEGETATIVE PHASE(SVP)and Dormancy-associated MADS-box(DAM)genes during endodormancy maintenance and release.Combining previous studies and our observations,we propose a regulatory model for bud endodormancy and offer some perspectives for the future.Qinsong Yang Yuhao Gao Xinyue Wu Takaya Moriguchi Songling Bai Yuanwen Teng 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2
13Mensuration of microstructure multi-fractal spectra of calcined limestone particle surfaces显示文摘The microstructure of the surface of a calcined limestone particle is multi-fractal.We develop an analytic method that surveys the boundary curve multi-fractal dimensions with SEM,gets a three-dimensional surface structureα-f(α)curve via zero-sets,and finally calculates the multi-fractal spectrum values of the particle surface's microstructural topography.After analyzing two spectra from limestone particles calcined at 850℃ and 900℃,it was shown that the microstructural topographies of the surfaces of calcined limestone multi-particle system have some degree of self-similarity.This mensuration method is proposed to describe the multi-fractal characteristics of a micro-scale particle's surface topography.Jianyu Shang Songling Wang Chunbo Wang Chunchang Song 2010Particuology2010,8,5:2
14CD38 deficiency alleviates Ang II-induced vascular remodeling by inhibiting small extracellular vesicle-mediated vascular smooth muscle cell senescence in mice显示文摘CD38 is the main enzyme for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD)degradation in mammalian cells.Decreased NAD levels are closely related to metabolic syndromes and aging-related diseases.Our study showed that CD38 deficiency significantly alleviated angiotensin II(Ang ll)-induced vascular remodeling in mice,as shown by decreased blood pressures;reduced vascular media thickness,media-to-lumen ratio,and collagen deposition;and restored elastin expression.However,our bone marrow transplantation assay showed that CD38 deficiency in lymphocytes led to lack of protection against Ang ll-induced vascular remodeling,suggesting that the effects of CD38 on Ang ll-induced vascular remodeling might rely primarily on vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs),not lymphocytes.In addition,we observed that CD38 deficiency or NAD supplementation remarkably mitigated Ang ll-induced vascular senescence by suppressing the biogenesis,secretion,and internalization of senescence-associated small extracellular vesicles(SA-sEVs),which facilitated the senescence of neighboring non-damaged VSMCs.Furthermore,we found that the protective effects of CD38 deficiency on VSMC senescence were related to restoration of lysosome dysfunction,particularly with respect to the maintenance of sirtuin-mediated mitochondrial homeostasis and activation of the mitochondria-lysosomal axis in VSMCs.In conclusion,our findings demonstrated that CD38 and its associated intracellular NAD decline are critical for Ang ll-induced VSMC senescence and vascular remodeling.Lu Gan Demin Liu Jing Liu Erya Chen Chan Chen Lian Liu Hang Hu Xiaohui Guan Wen Ma Yanzi Zhang Yarong He Bofu Liu Songling Tang Wei Jiang Jianxin Xue Hongbo Xin 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,7:2
15Efficient Breeding and Cultivation of Type 2 Red-fleshed Apple Cultivars Using a Search System for Suitable Apple Cultivar Combination显示文摘As apple possesses self-incompatibility, knowledge of the S-genotypes is very important for apple breeding and cultivation. We investigated the S-RNase genotypes of 13 type 2 red-fleshed apple cultivars and 8 lineages. All of the investigated type 2 red-fleshed apples contained the S3-RNase allele closely linked to the red-fleshed trait. We made a search system for ovule parents to efficiently produce new type 2 red-fleshed cultivars based on the S-RNase allele information(http://gffzzd3a1d37479ed4c08hvwfufb0xoxpw6uow.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/~hort/apple/red/). More than 90% of progenies from crossing a selected white-fleshed ovule parent with a type 2 red-fleshed pollen parent are expected to show the red-fleshed phenotype.
