| 3 | 1-Pbps orbital angular momentum fibre-optic transmission显示文摘Space-division multiplexing(SDM),as a main candidate for future ultra-high capacity fibre-optic communications,needs to address limitations to its scalability imposed by computation-intensive multi-input multi-output(MIMO)digital signal processing(DSP)required to eliminate the crosstalk caused by optical coupling between multiplexed spatial channels.By exploiting the unique propagation characteristics of orbital angular momentum(OAM)modes in ring core fibres(RCFs),a system that combines SDM and C+L band dense wavelength-division multiplexing(DWDM)in a 34 km 7-core RCF is demonstrated to transport a total of 24960 channels with a raw(net)capacity of 1.223(1.02)Peta-bit s−1(Pbps)and a spectral efficiency of 156.8(130.7)bit s−1 Hz−1.Remarkably for such a high channel count,the system only uses fixed-size 4×4 MIMO DSP modules with no more than 25 time-domain taps.Such ultra-low MIMO complexity is enabled by the simultaneous weak coupling among fibre cores and amongst non-degenerate OAM mode groups within each core that have a fixed number of 4 modes.These results take the capacity of OAM-based fibre-optic communications links over the 1 Pbps milestone for the first time.They also simultaneously represent the lowest MIMO complexity and the 2nd smallest fibre cladding diameter amongst reported few-mode multicore-fibre(FM-MCF)SDM systems of>1 Pbps capacity.We believe these results represent a major step forward in SDM transmission,as they manifest the significant potentials for further up-scaling the capacity per optical fibre whilst keeping MIMO processing to an ultra-low complexity level and in a modularly expandable fashion. | Junyi Liu Jingxing Zhang Jie Liu Zhenrui Lin Zhenhua Li Zhongzheng Lin Junwei Zhang Cong Huang Shuqi Mo Lei Shen Shuqing Lin Yujie Chen Ran Gao Lei Zhang Xiaobo Lan Xinlun Cai Zhaohui Li Siyuan Yu | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,8: | 1 |

| 7 | Doping modulated in-plane anisotropic Raman enhancement on layered or ReS2显示文摘Anisotropic two-dimensional (2D) materials exhibit lattice-orientation dependent optical and electrical properties. Carriers doping of such materials has been used to modulate their energy band structures for opto-electronic applications. Herein, we show that by stacking monolayer rhenium disulfide (ReS2) on a flat gold film, the electrons doping in ReS2 can affect the in-plane anisotropic Raman enhancement of molecules adsorbed on ReS2. The change of enhancement factor and the degree of anisotropy in enhancement with layer number are sensitively dependent on the doping level of ReS2 by gold, which is further confirmed by Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) measurements. | 9 | Oxidation Experiment of Natural Megacrystal Clinopyroxene:Implications for Assignment of Mssbauer Spectra显示文摘The M?ssbauer spectra of natural megacrystal clinopyroxene are usually fitted by 4 sets of symmetric doublets, A-A(, B-B(, C-C( and D-D(, respectively, in terms of increasing Qs value in literature. But the assignments of those doublets are quite different, except the D-D( doublet assigned to Fe3+ at the lattice site M1 in previous papers. Particularly, the assignment and interpretation of the C-C' doublet are diverse. The oxidation experiments of natural megacrystal clinopyroxene collected from the Hannuoba basalt, North China, were performed under controlled conditions of temperature at 1000oC and oxygen fugacity of FMQ buffer in 1, 2, 3 and 5 days respectively. The oxidized samples were then measured by X-ray diffraction spectrometry and M?ssbauer spectrometry. The oxidation of clinopyroxene is characterized by Fe2+ → Fe3+ at M1 under the subsolidus conditions, which is consistent with the increase of the area of the D-D( doublet when the heating time increases. Accordingly, the area of the A-A( and B-B( doublets decreases with the increasing heating time. However, the area of C-C' keeps almost constant. Therefore, the 4 sets of doublets can be assigned correctly as follows: A-A( doublet to Fe+2 at M1, B-B( Fe2+ at M1, C-C( Fe2+ at M2, and D-D( Fe3+ at M1. The M1 site splitting is due to the NNN (Next Nearest Neighbour) effect of the M2 site. | 17 | Integrative analysis of transcriptome and metabolome reveals the effect of DNA methylation of chalcone isomerase gene in promoter region on Lithocarpus polystachyus Rehd flavonoids显示文摘Metabolite biosynthesis is regulated by gene expression,which is altered by DNA methylation in the promoter region.Chalcone isomerase(CHI)gene encodes a key enzyme in the Lithocarpus polystachyus Rehd flavonoid pathway,and the expression of L.polystachyus CHI(LpCHI)is closely related to the synthesis of flavonoid metabolites.In this study,we analyzed the DNA methylation site of the LpCHI promoter and its effect on gene expression and metabolite accumulation.The proportions of three types of LpCHI promoter DNA methylation are 7.5%,68.75%,18.75%,determined by bisulfite sequencing.Transcriptome sequencing shows that LpCHI is strongly up-regulated in LpCHI promoter methylation Type A but down-regulated in LpCHI promoter methylation Type B and Type C.The expression of LpCHI shows no significant difference between Type B and Type C.Moreover,nine kinds of differentially expressed transcription factors(DETFs)bind to seven CpG-sites of the LpCHI promoter region to regulate LpCHI expression.The results of metabolomics show that differentially accumulated flavonoids are higher in LpCHI promoter methylation Type A than in LpCHI promoter methylation Type B and Type C.Additionally,a positive correlation was found between the LpCHI expression and flavonoids accumulation.These results show that the effect of CpG site-specificity on gene transcription is great than that of overall promoter DNA methylation on gene transcription.The mechanisms of flavonoid genes regulating metabolite accumulation are further revealed. | Limei Lin Shuqing Wang Jie Zhang Xin Song Duoduo Zhang Wenwen Cheng Minghui Cui Yuehong Long Zhaobin Xing | 2022 | Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology2022,7,3: | 0 |
| 18 | Soliton frequency comb generation in CMOS-compatible silicon nitride microresonators显示文摘The monolithic integration of soliton microcomb devices with active photonic components and high-frequency electronics is highly desirable for practical applications. Among many materials, silicon nitride(SiN_(x)) waveguide layers prepared by low-pressure chemical vapor deposition(LPCVD) have been the main platform for on-chip optical frequency comb generation. However, the high temperatures involved in LPCVD render it incompatible as a back-end process with complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS) or active Ⅲ-Ⅴ compound semiconductor fabrication flows. We report the generation of coherent soliton frequency combs in micro-ring resonators fabricated in deuterated silicon nitride(SiN_(x):D) waveguides with a loss of 0.09 d B/cm. Deposited at 270℃ by an inductance-coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition(ICP-CVD) process, the material preparation and fabrication flow are fully CMOS-compatible.
