| 1 | Features and Formation Mechanism of Faults and Potash-forming Effect in the Lop Nur Salt Lake,Xinjiang,China显示文摘The Lop Nur Salt Lake, located in the eastern part of the Tarim Basin, Xinjiang, China, has become a playa in the Quaternary. Rhombic in shape, the Lop Nur depression is mainly controlled by the NE-striking and nearly N-S-striking sets of faults. Since 1995, a superlarge brine potash deposit with potash resources of 2.50×108 t has been found in the Luobei subbasin in the northeastern part of the Lop Nur. We intensively studied the features and formation mechanism of faults inside the Lop Nur through satellite images, geomorphologic survey and continuous conductivity imaging and found seven subparallel graben faults formed under the action of nearly N 10o E principal compressional stress during deposition of the Lop Nur Salt Lake. These faults are up to >60 km long and 1–4 km wide and may extend downward for 1000 m or more. It is just under the action of these tensional faults that potash subbasins formed. The largest subbasin is the Luobei subbasin and the smaller ones are the Luoxi hollow, Erbei hollow and Tienan hollow. Investigation also indicates that the graben faults in the Lop Nur not only control the origin of the potash subbasins, but they themselves are also good brine reservoir structures, in which abundant potash-rich brines are stored. | 3 | Effect of Reverse-threaded Pin on Mechanical Properties of Friction Stir Lap Welded Alclad 2024 Aluminum Alloy显示文摘In friction stir welding(FSW), tool geometry plays an important role in joint quality. In order to improve mechanical properties of friction stir lap welding(FSLW) joint, a tool with a reverse-threaded pin was designed in the present study. Using 2024-T4 aluminum alloy as the research object, tools with the fullthreaded pin and reverse-threaded pin were used in FSLW. Results showed that, when using the same parameter combination, FSLW joint using the reverse-threaded pin owned bigger effective sheet thickness(EST), bigger lap width and better lap shear failure strength. Compared with the full-threaded pin,fracture mode of the FSLW joint changed from shear fracture mode to tensile fracture mode when the reverse-threaded pin was used. | 4 | The effect of a secretion-enhanced heavy chain on improving intein-based dual-vector co-delivery of a full-length factor Ⅷ gene显示文摘Treatment of hemophilia A by gene therapy is adversely affected by inefficient FVIII secretion and the large FVIII gene,which is difficult to package in the promising adeno-associated virus (AAV) vectors.Inhibited secretion of FVIII is caused mainly by inefficient secretion of its heavy chain.Previously,we have employed a protein splicing-based dual-vector to co-transfer a B-domain-deleted FVIII (BDD-FVIII) gene,suggesting that the light chain,covalently ligated to a co-expressed heavy chain can improve the secretion of spliced BDD-FVIII.However,its level of secretion was affected by inefficient secretion the heavy chain.Here,we studied the effect of a mutant heavy chain with L303E/F309S substitutions,which enhance FVIII secretion on the heavy chain itself and spliced FVIII when using a protein splicing-based split-delivery of a full-length FVIII gene.Eukaryotic vectors expressing Ssp DnaB intein-fused mutant heavy and light chains were transiently co-transfected into cultured COS-7 cells.A spliced FVIII protein was seen in co-transfected cells by Western blot analysis.The heavy chain was secreted by cells transfected with the mutant heavy chain gene alone at (39±11) ng/mL and this secretion increased to (123±13) ng/mL when cells were co-transfected with the light chain gene,which was greater than the secretion of wild-type heavy chain.The amount of spliced FVIII in the culture supernatant of co-transfected cells was (86±14) ng/mL,with an activity of (0.61±0.08) IU/mL,which was greater than that of wild-type FVIII co-transfected cells.Spliced FVIII and bioactivity were also detected in the combined culture supernatant of cells individually transfected with mutant heavy and light chain gene at a higher level than that of combined wild-type heavy and light chain transfections.This suggested that the heavy chain with improved secretion markedly increased the efficacy of protein splicing-based split delivery of the full-length FVIII gene using a dual-vector.These results encourage the transfer of this technology to an animal model using a dual-AAV vector. | ZHU FuXiang YANG ShuDe LIU ZeLong MIAO Jing QU HuiGe CHI XiaoYan | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,2: | 8 |
| 5 | Efficacy of capecitabine-based combination therapy and singleagent capecitabine maintenance therapy in patients with metastatic breast cancer显示文摘Objective: The purpose of this study was to observe the efficacy and toxicities of capecitabine-based chemotherapy and capecitabine monotherapy as maintenance therapy in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer(MBC).Patients and methods: A total of 98 MBC patients were treated with capecitabine combined with vinorelbine(NX). Results: The median number of treatment was 6 cycles(1-7 cycles). There were two cases of complete remission(CR), 58 partial remission, 27 stable disease(SD), 11 progression disease. The overall response rate(ORR)(CR + PR) was 61.2%. The clinical benefit rate(CBR) was 75.5%. Fifty of effective patients received with capecitabine monotherapy as maintenance therapy. The ORR(CR + PR) was 4%. The CBR was 48%. The median progression-free survival(PFS) was 12 months. In maintenance therapy or not, the median post metastasis survival rate(MSR) was 63 and 28 months, respectively. | 6 | Improving Joint Features and Mechanical Properties of Pinless Fiction Stir Welding of Alcald 2A12-T4 Aluminum Alloy显示文摘As a new solid state welding,pinless friction stir welding(PFSW) can be used to join thin-wall structures.In this study,four new pinless tools with different groove distributions were designed and manufactured in order to enrich technological storage of PFSW and obtain sound joint with high quality of alclad 2A12-T4 alloy.The results show that the small-obliquity tool is detrimental to the transfer of plasticized materials,resulting in the formation of kissing bond defect.For the through-groove tool or the large-curvature tool,bigger flashes form on the joint surface and alclad layer is observed in the nugget zone(NZ),deteriorating mechanical properties.Compared with the above-mentioned three tools,using the six-groove tool with rational curvature and obliquity can not only yield sound joint with small flashes and thickness reduction,but also prevent alclad from flowing into NZ,which has potential to weld thin alclad aluminum alloys.Meanwhile,the tensile strength and elongation of joint using the six-groove tool reach the maximum values of 362 MPa and 8.3%,up to 85.1% and 64% of BM. | Zhenlei Liu Hutao Cui Shude Ji Minqiang Xu Xiangchen Meng | 2016 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2016,32,12: | 7 |
| 7 | Dissimilar Al/Mg alloys friction stir lap welding with Zn foil assisted by ultrasonic显示文摘The Zn-added ultrasonic assisted friction stir lap welding(UaFSLW) was carried out to improve the quality of dissimilar Al/Mg alloys joint. The effects of ultrasonic power on the joint quality were also investigated.The results indicated that the larger effective lap width and mixing region between Mg and Al(Mg/Al MR) were attained by Zn foil addition and external ultrasonic assistance. Compared with the conventional joint, the finer and better-distributed Mg-Zn IMCs placing the continuous Al-Mg IMCs were formed in the Mg/Al MR of the Zn-added UaFSLW joint. The Zn foil addition and external ultrasonic assistance significantly improved the tensile shear load of the joint, and the load was increased with the increase of the ultrasonic power. | 8 | Improving friction stir weldability of Al/Mg alloys via ultrasonically diminishing pin adhesion显示文摘Formation of intermetallic compounds(IMCs) during friction stir welding(FSW) of aluminum/magnesium(Al/Mg) alloys easily results in the pin adhesion and then deteriorates joint formation. The severe pin adhesion transformed the tapered-and-screwed pin into a tapered pin at a low welding speed of 30 mm/min. The pin adhesion problem was solved with the help of ultrasonic.The weldability of Al/Mg alloys was significantly improved due to the good material flow induced by mechanical vibration and the fragments of the IMCs on the surface of a rotating pin caused by acoustic streaming, respectively. A sound joint with ultrasonic contained long Al/Mg interface joining length and complex mixture of Al/Mg alloys in the stir zone, thereby achieving perfect metallurgical bonding and mechanical interlocking. The ultrasonic could broaden process window and then improve tensile properties. | 10 | Improving Joint Morphologies and Tensile Strength of Al/Mg Dissimilar Alloys Friction Stir Lap Welding by Changing Zn Interlayer Thickness显示文摘The pure Zn foils with different thicknesses(0.02, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 mm) were selected as interlayers to improve the quality of friction stir lap welding joint of 7075-T6 Al and AZ31 B Mg dissimilar alloys. The effects of the interlayer thickness on joint formation, microstructure and tensile strength were analyzed. The results displayed that the maximum length of the boundary between stir zone(SZ) and thermo-mechanically affected zone in lower plate was obtained by the addition of the Zn interlayer with 0.05 mm thickness. The Mg–Zn intermetallic compounds(IMCs) were discontinuously distributed in the SZ, replacing the continuous Al–Mg IMCs. The size of Mg–Zn IMCs increased with the increase in the thickness of the Zn interlayer. | 11 | A general strategy for the reliable joining of Al/Ti dissimilar alloys via ultrasonic assisted friction stir welding显示文摘Ultrasonic assisted friction stir welding(UaFSW) was used to join 6061-T6 aluminum and Ti6Al4 V alloys.A small plunge depth endowed with the low heat input was used and the sound joints without obvious thickness reduction were achieved. A diffusion-type bonding without the intermetallic compounds layer was observed at the joint interface. The ultrasonic improved the diffusion thickness and decreased the average size of grains and titanium alloy fragments. A hook-like structure was formed at the bottom interface of the UaFSW joint, which improved the bonding length and the mechanical interlocking. The microhardness of the stir zone was increased because of the further grain refinement induced by ultrasonic. In order to verify the correctness of the relation, the investigation was done from the view of the welding experiment and the numerical simulation about the simulative component and the practical component. The results show that the distribution of welding residual stress of the simulative component is the same as that of the practical component. The ratio of welding residual stress attained by the experiment or the simulation method between the practical runner and the simulative component was compared with the ratio obtained by the similitude principles. Moreover, the error is less than 10%. | 14 | Changes of visceral properties and digestive enzymes in the herbivorous marine teleost Siganus canaliculatus fed on different diets显示文摘The rabbitfish Siganus canaliculatus is one of the few cultured herbivorous marine teleosts. To better understand the digestive physiology of this fish and provide data for designing formulated feed using macroalgae as an ingredient, the changes of visceral properties and digestive enzyme activities were investigated after the juveniles were fed on different types of food including raw fish(RF), formulated diet(FD) or macroalgae Enteromorpha prolifra(EP) and Gracilaria lemaneiformis(GL) for eight weeks. The results showed that the hepatosomatic and viscerosomatic indices in the RF and FD groups, as well as the relative intestine length(RIL) in the EP and GL groups, were significantly higher than those in other groups. Additionally, differences in the histological structure of the liver and anterior intestine were also observed among different dietary groups. The hepatic nuclei were displaced to the periphery by lipid inclusions in fish fed RF. The highest levels of mucosal folds were found in the anterior intestines of fish fed macroalgae. Digestive enzyme activity profiles showed obvious fluctuations in the first three weeks, and then leveled off in the following weeks. The levels of protease, lipase and α-amylase in the alimentary tract showed changes related to the levels of dietary protein, lipid and carbohydrate, respectively.Although macroalgae significantly inhibited the activity of protease in the stomach, it increased RIL and the number of mucosal folds in the anterior intestine so as to compensate for the influences on protease activities in the stomach. | 19 | Numerical simulation of effect of rotational tool with screw on material flow behavior of friction stir welding of Ti6Al4V alloy显示文摘The rotational tool is put forward, which is composed of the one-spiral-flute shoul-der and the rotational pin with screw. Using the turbulent model of the FLUENT software, material plastic flow behavior during the process of friction stir welding of Ti6Al4V alloy is researched by the numerical simulation method and then the effect of rotational tool geometry on material flow during the welding process is attained. The results show that the flow direction of the material near the rotational tool is mainly the same as the rotational direction of the tool while the material near tool flows more violently than the other regions. For the tapered rotational pin, the flow velocity of material inside the workpiece decreases with the increase of the distance away from the workpiece surface because of the change of pin diameter. For the rotational tool, the flute added to the shoulder and the screw added to the pin can greatly increase the flow velocity of material during the welding process while the peak value of the flow velocity of material appears on the flute or the screw. Moreover, the rotational tool with the one-spiral-flute shoulder is better than the tool with the concentric-circles-flute shoulder.
