Damage evolution and dynamic response of cement asphalt mortar layer of slab track under vehicle dynamic load显示文摘The damage evolution and dynamic performance of a cement asphalt(CA)mortar layer of slab track subjected to vehicle dynamic load is investigated in this paper.Initially,a statistical damage constitutive model for the CA mortar layer is developed using continuous damage mechanics and probability theory. In this model, the strength of the CA mortar elements is treated as a random variable, which follows the Weibull distribution. The inclusion of strain rate dependence affords considering its influence on the damage development and the transition between viscosity and elasticity.Comparisons with experimental data support the reliability of the model.A three-dimensional finite element(FE)model of a slab track is then created with the commercial software ABAQUS,where the devised model for the CA mortar is implemented as a user-defined material subroutine. Finally,a vertical vehicle model is coupled with the FE model of the slab track, through the wheel-rail contact forces, based on the nonlinear Hertzian contact theory. The evolution of the damage and of the dynamic performance of the CA mortar layer with various initial damage is investigated under the train and track interaction. The analysis indicates that the proposed model is capable of predicting the damage evolution of the CA mortar layer exposed to vehicle dynamic load. The dynamic compressive strain, the strain rate, and the induced damage increase significantly with an increase in the initial damage, whereas the dynamic compressive stress exhibits a sharp decrease with the increasing initial damage. Also,it is found that the strain rate dependence significantly influences the damage evolution and the dynamic behavior of the CA mortar layer.ZHU ShengYang FU Qiang CAI ChengBiao SPANOS Pol D 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,10:19
Engineering Multi‑field‑coupled Synergistic Ion Transport System Based on the Heterogeneous Nanofluidic Membrane for High‑Efficient Lithium Extraction显示文摘The global carbon neutrality strategy brings a wave of rechargeable lithium‐ion batteries technique development and induces an ever-growing consumption and demand for lithium(Li).Among all the Li exploitation, extracting Li from spent LIBs would be a strategic and perspective approach, especially with the low energy consumption and eco-friendly membrane separation method. However, current membrane separation systems mainly focus on monotonous membrane design and structure optimization, and rarely further consider the coordination of inherent structure and applied external field, resulting in limited ion transport. Here,we propose a heterogeneous nanofluidic membrane as a platform for coupling multi-external fields(i.e.,lightinduced heat, electrical, and concentration gradient fields)to construct the multi-field-coupled synergistic ion transport system(MSITS)for Li-ion extraction from spent LIBs.The Li flux of the MSITS reaches 367.4 mmol m^(−2)h^(−1),even higher than the sum flux of those applied individual fields, reflecting synergistic enhancement for ion transport of the multi-field-coupled effect.Benefiting from the adaptation of membrane structure and multi-external fields, the proposed system exhibits ultrahigh selectivity with a Li^(+)/Co^(2+)factor of 216,412,outperforming previous reports.MSITS based on nanofluidic membrane proves to be a promising ion transport strategy,as it could accelerate ion transmembrane transport and alleviate the ion concentration polarization effect. This work demonstrated a collaborative system equipped with an optimized membrane for high-efficient Li extraction, providing an expanded strategy to investigate the other membrane-based applications of their common similarities in core concepts.Lin Fu Yuhao Hu Xiangbin Lin Qingchen Wang Linsen Yang Weiwen Xin Shengyang Zhou Yongchao Qian Xiang‑Yu Kong Lei Jiang Liping Wen 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,8:1
Microglial glutaminase 1 mediates chronic restraint stress-induced depression-like behaviors and synaptic damages显示文摘Dear Editor,Major depressive disorder(MDD)is one of the most common psychiatric illnesses that significantly increase the risk of suicide.1 Stress-triggered dysfunctions of microglia have been identified as a commonly occurred pathological feature of MDD.1–3 Microglial dysfunction contributes to the pathogenesis of MDD via immunoresponses/neuroinflammation-mediated neural damage and pathological synapse loss-mediated neural circuit disruption.1 Although the involvement of microglia in MDD has been widely investigated, the molecular mechanisms underlying microglial dysfunction remain largely unknown.Recently,we identified glutaminase 1(Gls1)as one key protein that participates in microglial dysfunction.4–6 Gls1 catalyzes the hydrolysis of glutamine to produce glutamate in the brain.4 Besides its well-known role in excitatory neurotoxicity,we found Gls1 up-regulation in microglia in animal models of Alzheimer’s disease and ischemic stroke.4,7 Gls1 activates microglia to overproduce cytokines and release inflammatory extracellular vesicles, therefore leading to neuroinflammation in animal models of Alzheimer’s disease and ischemic stroke.4–6 More importantly,Gls1 has been found to be up-regulated in the brains of MDD patients, and microglial Gls1 deficiency mitigated LPS-induced depression-like behaviors.8 However,LPS exposure is not an appropriate model to mimic MDD phenotypes, leaving the involvement of Gls1 in MDD an undetermined question.Huili Chen Shengyang Fu Xiangyu Li Meng Shi Jiazhen Qian Shu Zhao Ping Yuan Lu Ding Xiaohuan Xia Jialin C.Zheng 2024Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2024,9,1:0
Neural stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles mitigate Alzheimer’s disease-like phenotypes in a preclinical mouse model显示文摘Dear Editor,Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is the most common neurodegenerative disorder and the No.1 cause of dementia in elderly with no effective treatments.1 The application of stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles(EVs)has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy for AD.2 EVs are small bilipid layer-enclosed vesicles that display blood-brain barrier(BBB)penetrating ability and similar potency to their parental cells.Ge Gao Congcong Li Yizhao Ma Zhanping Liang Yun Li Xiangyu Li Shengyang Fu Yi Wang Xiaohuan Xia Jialin C.Zheng 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,7:0
Selective and stable Au-Cu bimetallic catalyst for CO-PROX显示文摘Gold-based catalysts are promising in CO preferential oxidation(CO-PROX)reaction in H_(2)-rich stream on account of their high intrinsic activity for CO elimination even at ambient temperature. However, the decrease of CO conversion at elevated temperature due to the competition of H_(2)oxidation,together with the low stability of gold nanoparticles, has posed a dear challenge.Herein,we report that Au-Cu bimetallic catalyst prepared by galvanic replacement method shows a wide temperature window for CO total conversion(30-100℃)and very good catalyst stability without deactivation in a 200-h test.Detailed characterizations combined with density functional theory(DFT)calculation reveal that the synergistic effect of Au-Cu,the electron transfer from Au to Cu,leads to not only strengthened chemisorption of CO but also weakened dissociation of H_(2),both of which are helpful in inhibiting the competition of H_(2)oxidation thus widening the temperature window for CO total conversion.Feng Hong Guanjian Cheng Weihao Hu Shengyang Wang Qike Jiang Junhong Fu Botao Qiao Jiahui Huang 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
