1Geochronological,geochemical,and Nd-Hf isotopic studies of the Qinling Complex,central China:Implications for the evolutionary history of the North Qinling Orogenic Belt显示文摘The Qinling Complex of central China is thought to be the oldest rock unit and the inner core of the North Qinling Orogenic Belt(NQOB).Therefore,the Qinling Complex is the key to understanding the prePaleozoic evolution of the NQOB.The complex,which consists of metagraywackes and marbles,underwent regional amphibolite-facies metamorphism.In this study,we constrained the formation age of the Qinling Complex to the period between the late Mesoproterozoic and the early Neoproterozoic(ca.1062-962 Ma),rather than the Paleoproterozoic as previously thought.The LA-ICP-MS data show two major metamorphic ages(ca.499 and ca.420-400 Ma) for the Qinling Complex.The former age is consistent with the peak metamorphic age of the high- and ultra-high pressure(HP-UHP) rocks in the Qinling Complex,indicating that both the HP-UHP rocks and their country rocks experienced intensive regional metamorphism during the Ordovician.The latter age may constrain the time of partial melting in the NQOB between the late Silurian and early Devonian.The Qinling Complex is mostly affiliated with subduction-accretion processes along an active continental margin,and should contain detritus deposited in a forearc basin.The available data indicate that the NQOB was an independent micro-continent at least prior to the Neoproterozoic,and included a portion of the Grenville orogenic belt during the period of 1.2-0.8 Ga.The NQOB has experienced a unique geological history,which is obviously different from that of the North China Craton(NCC) and the Yangtze Craton during the Precambrian.The Neoproterozoic granitoids that intruded the Qinling Complex can be interpreted as the products of assembly of the supercontinent Rodinia.The NQOB was separated from Rodinia at ca.830-740 Ma.Subsequently,the NQOB moved closer to the northern margin of the NCC,and the initial accretion or collision with the NCC occurred from the late Cambrian to the early Ordovician.Chunrong Diwu Yong Sun Yan Zhao BingXiang Liu Shaocong Lai 2014Geoscience Frontiers2014,5,4:27
2High precision in-situ Pb isotopic analysis of sulfide minerals by femtosecond laser ablation multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry显示文摘An in-situ microanalysis of Pb isotopic compositions in sulfide minerals is carried out by using femtosecond laser-ablation multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(fs LA-MC-ICP-MS).High-temperature-activated carbon was used to filter Hg contained in the carrier gas,which reduced the Hg background signal by 48%and also lowered the detection limit of the analysis.Fractionation and mass discrimination effects existing in the ICP-MS analytical processes were corrected using an internal reference Tl in conjunction with an external reference NIST SRM 610.The proposed method was used to analyze the Pb isotopic compositions of chalcopyrite,pyrite,and sphalerite from the Dulong Sn-Zn-In polymetallic ore district.The results showed that in this ore district,the sulfide minerals and different grains of the same sulfide mineral show a large variation in Pb content up to 1000-fold.The studied pyrites show relatively higher Pb contents and homogeneous Pb isotopic compositions,whereas the sphalerites have low Pb contents but most variable Pb isotopic compositions.It is suggested that the large variation of Pb isotopic composition may reflect a late hydrothermal superimposition on the primary sulfide formation.In addition,radiogenic Pb accumulated by radioactive decay of trace amounts of U over time in the host minerals may also be one of the causes for the large variation range of Pb content and Pb isotopic composition of those low-Pb sphalerites.Chalcopyrite and sphalerite grains with Pb content greater than 10 ppm presented a consistent Pb isotopic distribution,whereas all the sulfide grains with Pb content greater than 100 ppm had consistent Pb isotopic composition within 2s measurement uncertainties.The in-situ analysis of Pb isotopic composition agreed well with the results obtained by conventional chemical methods within2s measurement uncertainties,indicating that the data obtained by fs LA-MC-ICP-MS are reliable.Additionally,this study indicates that the Pb isotopic composition could truthfully record the source of ore-forming minerals only for sulfide minerals with high Pb content.On the contrary,the Pb isotopic composition of low-Pb sulfide minerals may be affected by trace amounts of U in the host minerals that may lead to a highly radiogenic Pb isotope ratio.Alternatively,it is also possible that late fluid metasomatic overprinting may alter the Pb isotopic compositions.YUAN HongLin YIN Cong LIU Xu CHEN KaiYun BAO ZhiAn ZONG ChunLei DAI MenNing LAI ShaoCong WANG Rong JIANG ShaoYong 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,10:14

4A critical survey of technologies of large offshore wind farm integration: summary, advances, and perspectives显示文摘Offshore wind farms(OWFs)have received widespread attention for their abundant unexploited wind energy poten-tial and convenient locations conditions.They are rapidly developing towards having large capacity and being located further away from shore.It is thus necessary to explore effective power transmission technologies to connect large OWFs to onshore grids.At present,three types of power transmission technologies have been proposed for large OWF integration.They are:high voltage alternating current(HVAC)transmission,high voltage direct current(HVDC)transmission,and low-frequency alternating current(LFAC)or fractional frequency alternating current transmission.This work undertakes a comprehensive review of grid connection technologies for large OWF integration.Compared with previous reviews,a more exhaustive summary is provided to elaborate HVAC,LFAC,and five HVDC topologies,consisting of line-commutated converter HVDC,voltage source converter HVDC,hybrid-HVDC,diode rectifier-based HVDC,and all DC transmission systems.The fault ride-through technologies of the grid connection schemes are also presented in detail to provide research references and guidelines for researchers.In addition,a comprehensive evalu-ation of the seven grid connection technologies for large OWFs is proposed based on eight specific indicators.Finally,eight conclusions and six perspectives are outlined for future research in integrating large OWFs.Bo Yang Bingqiang Liu Hongyu Zhou Jingbo Wang Wei Yao Shaocong Wu Hongchun Shu Yaxing Ren 2022Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems2022,7,1:4
5Early–Middle Triassic Intrusions in Western Inner Mongolia, China: Implications for the Final Orogenic Evolution in Southwestern Xing-Meng Orogenic Belt显示文摘The end-Permian to Early–Middle Triassic magmatic rocks in Inner Mongolia can provide valuable insights into the relationships between the collisional processes and the magmatic responses during the final orogenic evolution of Xing-Meng orogenic belt(XMOB). This paper presents zircon U-Pb ages and Hf isotopes, whole rock geochemical and Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic data for the Early–Middle Triassic diabases and monzogranites from the Langshan area, southwestern XMOB. Our results suggest that the studied diabases and monzogranites were respectively formed during Early Triassic and Middle Triassic. The Early Triassic diabases are characterized by 'arc-like' geochemical signatures, including enrichment in Rb, U and K, and depletion in Nb, Ta, P and Ti. They have negative to weak positive εNd(t) values(-3.1 to +1.5) and relatively high initial ratios of 208 Pb/204 Pb(35.968–37.346), 207 Pb/204 Pb(15.448–15.508) and 206 Pb/204 Pb(16.280–17.492), indicating a subduction-metasomatized enriched lithospheric mantle source. Their low Ba/Rb(2.72–6.56), Ce/Y(0.97–1.39) and(Tb/Yb)N ratios(1.31–1.45) suggest that the parental magma was likely originated from low degree partial melting of the phlogopite-bearing lherzolite in a spinel-stability field. The Middle Triassic monzogranites show high Sr/Y ratios, low Mg O, Cr and Ni contents, high Zr/Sm ratios(40–64), negative zircon εHf(t) values(-25.8 to-8.8), as well as relatively flat heavy rare earth element patterns. They were likely derived from low degree partial melting of a moderately thickened ancient lower crust. The diabases and the slightly postdated high Sr/Y granites in this study represent the magmatic responses to the final orogenic evolution in the southwestern XMOB. 6Geochemical characteristics of Bikou volcanic group and Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic composition: Evidence for breakup event in the north margin of Yangtze plate, Jining era显示文摘The geodynamic setting of the Bikou volcanic group is a critical question to trace the Precambrain tectonic framework and evolution for the Yangtze plate. This study has suggested that the Bikou volcanic group is composed of several residual oceanic crust units: MORB (mid-ocean ridge basalt), Alk-OIB (alkaline ocean island basalt) and Th-OIB (tholeiitic ocean island basalt) as well as subduction-related volcanic rocks. According to field observation, those distinct rocks occurred collectively in form of tectonic contact, implying that the Bikou volcanic group was an ophiolitic mélange. Coupled with geochronological data, a perished oceanic basin at the northern margin of the Yangtze block during Neoproterozoic was tested by this ophiolitic mélange. Meanwhile, the isogeochemical data suggest that the ocean occurred in the Southern Hemisphere identical to Indian, South Atlantic and South Pacific oceans in terms of their Dupal anomalies, and the original source of the rocks could be probably mixing by EMⅠand EMⅡ component caused by dehydration melting of subducting oceanic crust during subduction process. 7Cenozoic volcanic rocks in the Belog Co area, Qiangtang, northern Tibet, China: Petrochemical evidence for partial melting of the mantle-crust transition zone显示文摘Neogene volcanic rocks in the Belog Co area, Qiangtang, northern Tibet, are represented by a typical intermediate-basic and intermediate alkaline rock association, with latite-trachyte as the main rock type. The results of chemical analysis are: SiO2=52%–62%, Al2O3>15%, Na2O/K2O>1 and MgO<3.30%. In addition, the volcanic rocks are LREE-enriched with LREE/HREE=10–13, (La/Yb)N=15–19, and show a weak negative Eu anomaly with δEu=0.71–0.89. The close relationship between Mg# and SiO2 and the co-variation of the magmatophile elements and ultra-magmatophile elements such as La/Sm-La and Cr-Tb indicate that this association of volcanic rocks is the product of comagmatic fractional crystallization. The rock association type and lower Sm/Yb values (Sm/Yb=3.23–3.97) imply that this association of volcanic rocks should have originated from partial melting of spinel lherzolite in the lithospheric mantle. On the other hand, the weak negative Eu anomaly and relative depletion in Nb, Ta and Ti reflect the features of terrigenous magma. 13Constructing the latest Neoproterozoic to Early Paleozoic multiple crust-mantle interactions in western Bainaimiao arc terrane,southeastern Central Asian Orogenic Belt显示文摘Identifying the crust-mantle interactions in association with the evolution of the Precambrian microcontinents provides critical constraints on the accretionary evolution in the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB).The Bainaimiao arc terrane(BAT)is one of the most important Precambrian microcontinents in southeastern CAOB,however,few studies have paid attention to the types and the evolving processes of the crust-mantle interactions that occurred before its final accretion onto the northern North China Craton.This study presents an integrated study of geochronology,zircon Hf isotope and whole-rock geochemistry on the latest Neoproterozoic diabases and the Early Paleozoic arc intrusions in the western BAT.The latest Neoproterozoic(ca.546 Ma)diabases display low SiO2(46.52-49.24 wt.%)with high MgO(8.23-14.41 wt.%),Cr(66-542 ppm)and Ni(50-129 ppm),consisting with mantle origin.Their highly negative zirconεHf(t)(-12.0 to-24.7)and high Fe/Mn ratios(62.1-81.7)further indicate a significantly enriched mantle source.Considering that the BAT maybe initially separated from the Tarim Craton with a thickened crustal root,we propose that these diabases were generated through partial melting of an enriched lithospheric mantle source that had been hybridized by lower-crustal eclogites during foundering of the BAT lower crust.The Early Paleozoic(ca.475-417 Ma)arc intrusions in western BAT can be divided into PeriodsⅠandⅡat approximately 450 Ma.The PeriodⅠ(>450 Ma)intrusions contain abundant mafic minerals like hornblende and pyroxene,and show positive zirconεHf(t)(+1.5 to+10.9).They are predominantly medium-K calc-alkaline with broad correlations of SiO2 versus various major and trace elements,which correlate well with the experimental melts produced by the fractional crystallization of primitive hydrous arc magmas at 7 kbar.We assume they were formed through mid-crustal differentiation of the mantle wedge-derived hydrous basaltic melts.By contrast,the PeriodⅡ(≤450 Ma)intrusions are characterized by variable zircon eHf(t)(-15.0 to+11.5)with irregular variations in most major and trace elements,which are more akin to the arc magmas generated in an open system.The general occurrence of elder inherited zircons,along with the relatively high Mg#(>45)of some samples,call upon a derivation from the reworking of the previously subduction-modified BAT lower crust with the input of mantle-derived mafic components.In combination with the Early Paleozoic tectonic melanges flanking western BAT,we infer that the compositional transition from PeriodⅠtoⅡcan be attributed to the tectonic transition from south-dipping subduction of Solonker ocean to north-dipping subduction of South Bainaimiao ocean in southeastern CAOB.The above results shed light not only on the latest Neoproterozoic to Early Paleozoic multiple crust-mantle interactions in western BAT,but also on the associated crustal construction processes before the final arc-continent accretion.Min Liu Shaocong Lai Da Zhang Renzhi Zhu Jiangfeng Qin Guangqiang Xiong Haoran Wang 2020Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,5:1
14Ground-Based Hyperspectral Stereoscopic Remote Sensing Network: A Promising Strategy to Learn Coordinated Control of O_(3) and PM_(2.5) over China显示文摘With the coming of the“14th Five-Year Plan,”the coordinated control of particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter no greater than 2.5 lm(PM_(2.5))and O_(3) has become a major issue of air pollution prevention and control in China.The stereoscopic monitoring of regional PM_(2.5) and O_(3) and their precursors is crucial to achieve coordinated control.However,current monitoring networks are currently inadequate for monitoring the vertical profiles of both PM_(2.5) and O_(3) simultaneously and support air quality control.The University of Science and Technology of China(USTC)has established a nationwide ground-based hyperspectral stereoscopic remote sensing network based on multi-axis differential optical absorption spectroscopy(MAX-DOAS)since 2015.This monitoring network provides a significant opportunity for the regional coordinated control of PM_(2.5) and O_(3) in China.One-year vertical profiles of aerosol,NO_(2) and HCHO monitored from four MAX-DOAS stations installed in four megacities(Beijing,Shanghai,Shenzhen,and Chongqing)were used to characterize their vertical distribution differences in four key regions,Jing–Jin–Ji(JJJ),Yangtze River Delta(YRD),Pearl River Delta(PRD),and Sichuan Basin(SB),respectively.The normalized and yearly averaged aerosol vertical profiles below 400 m in JJJ and PRD exhibit a box shape and a Gaussian shape,respectively,and both show exponential shapes in YRD and SB.The NO_(2) vertical profiles in four regions all exhibit exponential shapes because of vehicle emissions.The shape of the HCHO vertical profile in JJJ and PRD was Gaussian,whereas an exponential shape was shown in YRD and SB.Moreover,a regional transport event occurred at an altitude of 600–1000 m was monitored in the southwest–northeast pathway of the North China Plain(NCP)by five MAX-DOAS stations(Shijiazhuang(SJZ),Wangdu(WD),Nancheng(NC),Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences(CAMS),and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences(UCAS))belonging to the above network.The aerosol optical depths(AOD)in these five stations decreased in the order of SJZ>WD>NC>CAMS>UCAS.The short-distance regional transport of NO2 in the 700–900 m layer was monitored between WD and NC.As an important precursor of secondary aerosol,the peak of NO_(2) air mass in WD and NC all occurred 1 h earlier than that of aerosol.This was also observed for the short-distance regional transport of HCHO in the 700–900 m layer between NC and CAMS,which potentially affected the O_(3) concentration in Beijing.Finally,CAMS was selected as a typical site to determine the O_(3)–NO_(x)–volatile organic compounds(VOCs)sensitivities in vertical space.We found the production of O_(3) changed from predominantly VOCs-limited conditions to mainly mixed VOCs–NO_(x)-limited condition from the 0–100 m layer to the 200–300 m layer.In addition,the downward transport of O_(3) could contribute to the increase of ground surface O_(3) concentration.This ground-based hyperspectral stereoscopic remote sensing network provide a promising strategy to support management of PM_(2.5) and O_(3) and their precursors and conduct attribution of sources.Cheng Liu Chengzhi Xing Qihou Hu Qihua Li Haoran Liu Qianqian Hong Wei Tan Xiangguang Ji Hua Lin Chuan Lu Jinan Lin Hanyang Liu Shaocong Wei Jian Chen Kunpeng Yang Shuntian Wang Ting Liu Yujia Chen 2022Engineering2022,,12:0

17Surface Patterning of Metal Zinc Electrode with an In‑Region Zincophilic Interface for High‑Rate and Long‑Cycle‑Life Zinc Metal Anode显示文摘The undesirable dendrite growth induced by non-planar zinc(Zn)deposition and low Coulombic efficiency resulting from severe side reactions have been long-standing challenges for metallic Zn anodes and substantially impede the practical application of rechargeable aqueous Zn metal batteries(ZMBs).Herein,we present a strategy for achieving a high-rate and long-cycle-life Zn metal anode by patterning Zn foil surfaces and endowing a Zn-Indium(Zn-In)interface in the microchannels.The accumulation of electrons in the microchannel and the zincophilicity of the Zn-In interface promote preferential heteroepitaxial Zn deposition in the microchannel region and enhance the tolerance of the electrode at high current densities.Meanwhile,electron aggregation accelerates the dissolution of non-(002)plane Zn atoms on the array surface,thereby directing the subsequent homoepitaxial Zn deposition on the array surface.Consequently,the planar dendrite-free Zn deposition and long-term cycling stability are achieved(5,050 h at 10.0 mA cm^(−2)and 27,000 cycles at 20.0 mA cm−2).Furthermore,a Zn/I_(2)full cell assembled by pairing with such an anode can maintain good stability for 3,500 cycles at 5.0 C,demonstrating the application potential of the as-prepared ZnIn anode for high-performance aqueous ZMBs.Tian Wang Qiao Xi Kai Yao Yuhang Liu Hao Fu Venkata Siva Kavarthapu Jun Kyu Lee Shaocong Tang Dina Fattakhova‑Rohlfing Wei Ai Jae Su Yu 2024Nano-Micro Letters2024,16,6:0
18Intracontinental Orogenic Igneous Rocks and Orogenic Processes in Qinghai-Xizang-Himalaya显示文摘Based on the discussion on the intracontinental orogenic igneous rocks formed after India- Asia collision (40 or 45 Ma ),the intracontinemal orogenic processes of Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet)-Himalaya are traced . Muscovite/two mica granite is considered as a petrological record of intracontinental subduction. Volcanic rocks of shoshonite series are believed to be the products of the orogenic and outside cratonic lithosphere convergence . The intracontinental orogenic igneous rocks are developed only on the margins of the orogenic belt. The pairing phenomenon of the igneous rock zones is regarded as one of the best signs to recognize the special range of orogenic belt . The stage of magmatic activity is a representation and indicator of orogenic episode . 19Structural plasticity-based hydrogel optical Willshaw model for one-shot on-the-fly edge learning显示文摘Autonomous one-shot on-the-fly learning copes with the high privacy,small dataset,and in-stream data at the edge.Implementing such learning on digital hardware suffers from the well-known von-Neumann and scaling bottlenecks.The optical neural networks featuring large parallelism,low latency,and high efficiency offer a promising solution.However,ex-situ training of conventional optical networks,where optical path configuration and deep learning model optimization are separated,incurs hardware,energy and time overheads,and defeats the advantages in edge learning.Here,we introduced a bio-inspired material-algorithm co-design to construct a hydrogel-based optical Willshaw model(HOWM),manifesting Hebbian-rule-based structural plasticity for simultaneous optical path configuration and deep learning model optimization thanks to the underlying opto-chemical reactions.We first employed the HOWM as an all optical in-sensor AI processor for one-shot pattern classification,association and denoising.We then leveraged HOWM to function as a ternary content addressable memory(TCAM)of an optical memory augmented neural network(MANN)for one-shot learning the Omniglot dataset.The HOWM empowered one-shot on-the-fly edge learning leads to 1000boost of energy efficiency and 10boost of speed,which paves the way for the next-generation autonomous,efficient,and affordable smart edge systems.Dingchen Wang Dingyao Liu Yinan Lin Anran Yuan Woyu Zhang Yaping Zhao Shaocong Wang Xi Chen Hegan Chen Yi Zhang Yang Jiang Shuhui Shi Kam Chi Loong Jia Chen Songrui Wei Qing Wang Hongyu Yu Renjing Xu Dashan Shang Han Zhang Shiming Zhang Zhongrui Wang 2023InfoMat2023,5,4:0
