1A Simple Deep Learning Network for Classification of 3D Mobile LiDAR Point Clouds显示文摘Automatic and accurate classification is a fundamental problem to the analysis and modeling of LiDAR(Light Detection and Ranging)data.Recently,convolutional neural network(ConvNet or CNN)has achieved remarkable performance in image recognition and computer vision.While significant efforts have also been made to develop various deep networks for satellite image scene classification,it still needs to further investigate suitable deep learning network frameworks for 3D dense mobile laser scanning(MLS)data.In this paper,we present a simple deep CNN for multiple object classification based on multi-scale context representation.For the pointwise classification,we first extracted the neighboring points within spatial context and transformed them into a three-channel image for each point.Then,the classification task can be treated as the image recognition using CNN.The proposed CNN architecture adopted common convolution,maximum pooling and rectified linear unit(ReLU)layers,which combined multiple deeper network layers.After being trained and tested on approximately seven million labeled MLS points,the deep CNN model can classify accurately into nine classes.Comparing with the widely used ResNet algorithm,this model performs better precision and recall rates,and less processing time,which indicated the significant potential of deep-learning-based methods in MLS data classification.Yanjun WANG Shaochun LI Mengjie WANG Yunhao LIN 2021Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2021,4,3:8
2Serum macrophage migration inhibitory factor as a potential biomarker to evaluate therapeutic response in patients with allergic asthma:an exploratory study显示文摘Background:Previous studies have shown that macrophage migration inhibitory factor(MIF)is involved in the pathogenesis of asthma.This study aimed to investigate whether serum MIF reflects a therapeutic response in allergic asthma.Methods:We enrolled 30 asthmatic patients with mild-to-moderate exacerbations and 20 healthy controls,analyzing the parameter levels of serum MIF,serum total immunoglobulin E(tIgE),peripheral blood eosinophil percentage(EOS%),and fractional exhaled nitric oxide(FeNO).Lung function indices were used to identify disease severity and therapeutic response.Results:Our study showed that all measured parameters in patients were at higher levels than those of controls.After one week of treatment,most parameter levels decreased significantly except for serum tIgE.Furthermore,we found that serum MIF positively correlated with EOS%as well as FeNO,but negatively correlated with lung function indices.Receiver operator characteristic(ROC)curve analysis indicated that among the parameters,serum MIF exhibited a higher capacity to evaluate therapeutic response.The area under the curve(AUC)of MIF was 0.931,with a sensitivity of 0.967 and a specificity of 0.800.Conclusions:Our results suggested that serum MIF may serve as a potential biomarker for evaluating therapeutic response in allergic asthma with mild-to-moderate exacerbations.Huiyuan ZHU Shaochun YAN Jingshuo WU Zhong ZHANG Xiaolin LI Zheng LIU Xing MA Lina ZHOU Lin ZHANG Mingming FENG Yiwei GENG Aixin ZHANG Sabina JANCIAUSKIENE Aiguo XU 2021Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,6:3

4Efficacy of Carbamazepine Combined with Botulinum Toxin A in the Treatment of Blepharospasm and Hemifacial Spasm显示文摘Purpose:To observe the efficacy of the combined treatment of carbamazepine and botulinum toxin A for blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm. Methods:Fifty-eight patients with either blepharospasm or hemifacial spasm were randomly divided into treatment and control groups. In the treatment group, 30 patients were administered with local intramuscular injections of botulinum toxin A and oral carbamazepine 100 mg/time,3 times/day for 60 days. Twenty-eight subjects in the control group under-went local intramuscular injections of botulinum toxin A only. Results:After combined treatment, the complete remission rate was 90%, which was significantly higher than that of the of the control group (67.9% , P<0.05,χ2 =4.733). However, no statistical significance was noted regarding the duration of therapeutic effects between the treatment group (range 14~40 weeks; 19.2 weeks on average) and control group (range 12~36 weeks; 18 weeks on average). 6Caspase-3 mRNA expression in rats with apoptosis of retinal photoreceptor cells显示文摘BACKGROUND: Apoptosis of retinal photoreceptor cells is a commonly pathological characteristic of various eye diseases, while caspase-3 is an important regulating gene and plays a key role in apoptosis. OBJECTIVE: To measure the expression of caspase-3 mRNA in rats with apoptosis of retinal photoreceptor cells by using real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction and compare with those of the normal rats. DESIGN: Randomized controlled animal study. SETTING: Zhongshan Ophthalmological Center of Sun Yat-sen University. MATERIALS: A total of 36 female SD rats of 50 days old and clean grade and weighing (150±10) g were provided by Experimental Animal Center of Northern Area of Sun Yat-sen University. All rats were randomly divided into normal control group (n =6) and N-methyl-N-nitrosourea (MNU) group (n =30), and they were observed at 12 hours, 1, 2, 3 and 5 days after model establishment, with 6 rats at each time point. METHODS: The experiment was carried out at Zhongshan Ophthalmological Center, Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology by State Ministry of Education from March to December 2004. Rats in the normal control group were intraperitoneally injected with saline and rats in the MNU group were intraperitoneally injected with 40 mg/kg MNU. And then, retinal photoreceptor injured models were established. At 12 hours, 1, 2, 3 and 5 days after model establishment, the rats were sacrificed for enucleating right eyeballs, isolating retina immediately and extracting total RNA. The expression of caspase-3 mRNA in retina was measured with real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Expression of caspase-3 mRNA in retina of rats in the two groups. RESULTS: A total of 36 SD rats were involved in the final analysis. The expressions of caspase-3 mRNA in the rat retina of both groups at the five time points (12 hours, 1, 2, 3 and 5 days) after model establishment were 1.52×105, 18.35×105, 25.14×105, 29.25×105, 13.72×105 and 12.24×105, respectively. The expression of caspase-3 mRNA in the MNU group increased after 12 hours of intraperitoneal injection, and rose to the top on the 2nd day, which was 19 times as many as that of the normal control group. Then, it decreased gradually and was still 8 times as many as that of the normal control group on the 5th day. 7Application of FLUPD-DD-PCR to the study of mRNA expression of glioma cells cultured under the condition of serum starvation显示文摘Fluorescently labeled universal primer directed differential display polymerase chain reaction technique (FLUPD-DD-PCR), an improved DD-PCR, is reported for the study of mRNA expression of glioma cells cultured with the serum starvation. The fluorescently labeled universal primer (FLUP) facilitates analysis of PCR products on an auto-sequencer. Compared with the traditional DD-PCR, FLUPD-DD-PCR has advantages of separation of target bands and measurement of mRNA expression quantitatively by adopting Cy5-labeled universal primer. And then the silver staining method has been used to recover the bands for use as template in re-pcr. in this study, 4 differential ESTs, of which 3 are novel ESTs, have been obtained. 8Study on Properties of Blue-Brick Masonry Materials for Historical Buildings显示文摘There are a large number of historic buildings which were mainly made of blue-brick masonry in today’s world.However,for the natural and man-made reasons,these historic buildings have been damaged in different degrees.In order to protect historic buildings more scientifically and learn about the preservation state of existing historic buildings,it is necessary to ascertain the material properties of blue brick in historic buildings.The article takes the blue bricks of historical buildings in Kaifeng area of the Central Plains as an example to study.Through the analysis of physical properties,X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy of blue brick specimens,the physical properties such as the apparent density,moisture content,porosity,and material structure composition are understood.The results show that the apparent density of blue brick is 1.64 g/cm^(3),the moisture content is 10.23%,the 24 h atmospheric water absorption is 17.86%,and the porosity is 20.99%.The smaller the apparent density is,the larger the porosity is,and the water absorption performance is better.From the microscopic point of view,bonding ability between blue brick mineral particles is relatively weak.The pores between skeletons are large and the pore structure is obvious.From the perspective of material phase,the elements of blue brick are mainly O,Si,Al,Fe,and the composition of blue brick is mainly composed of quartz and feldspar.The softening coefficient of blue brick is 0.80,and the deformation and stability of the structure should be paid special attention in the rainy season or wet environment.Through the frost test,there are salt substances in the internal pores of the brick,and the surface of the blue brick is eroded and pulverized.In this paper,the experimental process and analysis methods for testing the material properties of blue brick can provide reference for the research on the material properties of the same kind of blue-brick masonry in historic buildings and masonry relics.The relevant material property parameters obtained in this paper can provide guidance for making protection schemes and scientific repairs for historic buildings in Central China,enrich the evaluation criteria for maintaining and reinforcing historic buildings,and provide theoretical support for studying the damage and health detection technology related to historic buildings.Shaochun Ma Lin Wang Peng Bao 2022Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,7:0
