2Shaking table experimental study of recycled concrete frame-shear wall structures显示文摘In this study, four 1/5 scaled shaking table tests were conducted to investigate the seismic performance of recycled concrete frame-shear wall structures with different recycled aggregates replacement rates and concealed bracing detail. The four tested structures included one normal concrete model, one recycled coarse aggregate concrete model, and two recycled coarse and fi ne aggregate concrete models with or without concealed bracings inside the shear walls. The dynamic characteristics, dynamic response and failure mode of each model were compared and analyzed. Finite element models were also developed and nonlinear time-history response analysis was conducted. The test and analysis results show that the seismic performance of the recycled coarse aggregate concrete frame-shear wall structure is slightly worse than the normal concrete structure. The seismic resistance capacity of the recycled concrete frame-shear wall structure can be greatly improved by setting up concealed bracings inside the walls. 3Neofusicoccum parvum causing canker of seedlings of Juglans regia in China显示文摘Cankered, dying seedlings of Juglans regia were observed in Shaanxi province in the northwest region of China. Neofusicoccum parvum was isolated from these cankered tissues, with the identification based on morphology and an ITS-nr DNA sequence. In order to demonstrate how cultures of N. parvum could cause the expected symptoms, artificial infection, using these isolates and re-isolation of the pathogen, was used. 4Location and size regulation of manganese oxides within mesoporous silica for enhanced antibiotic degradation显示文摘Refractory antibiotics in domestic wastewater are hard to be completely eliminated by conventional methods,and then lead to severe environmental contamination and adverse effects on public health.In present work,advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)are adopted to remove the antibiotic of sul-fachloropyridazine(SCP).Nanosized Mn_(2)O_(3) was fabricated on the SBA-15 material to catalytically acti-vate potassium peroxydisulfate(PDS)to generate reactive oxygen radicals of.OH and SO_(4).for SCP degradation.The effects of location and size of Mn_(2)O_(3) were explored through choosing either the as-made or template free SBA-15 as the precursor of substrate.Great influences from the site and size of Mn_(2)O_(3) on the oxidation activity were discovered.It was found that Mn_(2)O_(3) with a large size at the exterior of SBA-15(Mn-tfSBA)was slightly easier to degrade SCP at a low manganese loading of 1.0-2.0 mmol.g;however,complete SCP removal could only be achieved on the catalyst of Mn_(2)O_(3) with a refined size at the interior of SBA-15(Mn-asSBA).Moreover,the SO_(4).species were revealed to be the decisive radicals in the SCP degradation processes.Exploring the as-made mesoporous silica as a support provides a new idea for the further development of environmentally friendly catalysts.Min Lu Mengxuan Liu Chunli Xu Yu Yin Lei Shi Hong Wu Aihua Yuan Xiao-Ming Ren Shaobin Wang Hongqi Sun 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,8:3

8Photocatalytic fuel cell for simultaneous antibiotic wastewater treatment and electricity production by anatase TiO_(2) nanoparticles anchored on Ni foam显示文摘Photocatalytic fuel cell (PFC) holds great potential for the sustainable production of electricity and degradation of organic pollutants for solving global energy and environmental problems.However,the efficient photodegradation of organic dyes and antibiotic drugs,such as ciprofloxacin (CIP) and methylene blue(MB),remains challenging.Aiming at improving the separation efficiency of hole and electron for electricity generation in the PFC system,TiO_(2)-NPs@NF-x photoanode was fabricated by a cost-effective and laborsaving hydrothermal approach.The as-fabricated photoanode demonstrated abundant active sites,enhanced light harvesting capacity and photogenerated charge carrier separation.At a CIP-HCl concentration of 10 mg/L and p H value of about 7,85%of CIP-HCl can be efficiently removed after 3 h irradiation by 300 W Xe lamp.TiO_(2)-NPs@NF-20 photoelectrode based PFC system exhibited an impressed ability to simultaneously degrade ciprofloxacin and generate electricity under light irradiation with an open circuit voltage of 1.021 V,short circuit current density and maximum power density of 2.4 mA/cm^(2),0.357 mW/cm^(2),respectively.This work provided a cost-effective method for the treatment of organic waste and generation of electrical power.Jinhan Li Xicheng Li Shaobin Yu Shuai Gao Yang Zhang Yan Li Changzheng Wang Qiang Wang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,2:0
9Direct-acting Antiviral-induced Transient Recovery of NK Cells in Early-stage Treatment of Chronic Hepatitis C Patients显示文摘Background and Aims:The rapid clearance of hepatitis C virus induced by direct-acting antivirals(DAAs)affects natural killer(NK)cells,but the reported results are not consistent,and the relative mechanism was unclear.This study focused on the dynamic changes of NK cells during and after DAA treatment and analyzed the reasons.Meth-ods:Peripheral blood from 35 chronic hepatitis C patients who were treated with DAAs were collected at baseline and weeks 1,2,4,12,and post-treatment week-12.The fre-quency,subset,and phenotype of NK cells were assayed by flow cytometry.Lactate dehydrogenase assays were used to evaluate the cytotoxicity of NK cells.Cytokine concentra-tions were measured with Luminex kits.Results:All pa-tients achieved a sustained viral response(SVR),and the NK cell frequencies were not changed significantly during DAA therapy.However,the cytotoxicity of NK cells recov-ered significantly early in week 1,and then continuously decreased below normal levels.The changes of genotypes including NKp30+,NKp46+,and NKG2A+NK cells were par-allel to NK function.The subset of CD56dim NK cells con-tinuously increased and did not return to normal even at 12 weeks after treatment.Interleukin(IL)-2,IL10,IL15,interferon-gamma,and tumor necrosis factor-alpha all in-creased after week 4,peaked at the end of therapy,and then exhibited varying degrees of reduction with time.Con-clusions:DAA treatment led to transient functional recov-ery of NK cells in the early stage of treatment,and then continuously decreased to below normal levels.Alterations of NK subsets,phenotypes,and the microenvironment may be involved in the changes.Xiaohui Zhang Yingying Jiang Shaobin Li Dandan Bian Mei Liu Ming Kong Yu Chen Zhongping Duan Sujun Zheng 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,6:0
10Two-dimensional nanomaterials confined single atoms: New opportunities for environmental remediation显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)supports confined single-atom catalysts(2D SACs)with unique geometric and electronic structures have been attractive candidates in different catalytic applications,such as energy conversion and storage,value-added chemical synthesis and environmental remediation.However,their environmental appli-cations lack of a comprehensive summary and in-depth discussion.In this review,recent progresses in synthesis routes and advanced characterization techniques for 2D SACs are introduced,and a comprehensive discussion on their applications in environmental remediation is presented.Generally,2D SACs can be effective in catalytic elimination of aqueous and gaseous pollutants via radical or non-radical routes and transformation of toxic pollutants into less poisonous species or highly value-added products,opening a new horizon for the contami-nant treatment.In addition,in-depth reaction mechanisms and potential pathways are systematically discussed,and the relationship between the structure-performance is highlighted.Finally,several critical challenges within this field are presented,and possible directions for further explorations of 2D SACs in environmental remediation are suggested.Although the research of 2D SACs in the environmental application is still in its infancy,this review will provide a timely summary on the emerging field,and would stimulate tremendous interest for designing more attractive 2D SACs and promoting their wide applications.Yu Yin Lei Shi Shu Zhang Xiaoguang Duan Jinqiang Zhang Hongqi Sun Shaobin Wang 2023Nano Materials Science2023,5,1:0
