| 1 | Explicit diagnosis of the local ozone production rate and the ozone-NOx-VOC sensitivities显示文摘In the troposphere, ozone is a harmful gas compound to both human health and vegetation. Ozone is produced from the reaction of NO_x(@NO + NO_2) and VOCs(volatile organic compounds) with light. Due to the highly nonlinear relationships between ozone and its precursors, proper ozone mitigation relies on the knowledge of chemical mechanisms. In this study, an observation-based method is used to simulate ozone formation and elucidate its controlling factors for a rural site on the North China Plain. The instantaneous ozone production rate is calculated utilizing a box model using the dataset obtained from the Wangdu campaign. First, the model was operated in a time-dependent mode to calculate the ozone production rate at each time stamp. The calculated ozone formation rate showed a diurnal average maximum value of 17 ppbv/h(1-h diurnal averaged). The contribution of individual peroxy radicals to ozone production was analyzed. In addition, the functional dependence of calculated P(O_3) reveals that ozone production was in a NO_x-limited regime during the campaign. Furthermore, the missing peroxy radical source will further extend NO_x-limited conditions to earlier in the day, making NO_xlimitation dominate more of a day than the current chemical model predicts. Finally, a multiple scenarios mode, also known as EKMA(empirical kinetic modeling approach), was used to simulate the response of P(O_3) to the imaginary change in precursor concentrations. We found that ozone production was in the NO_x-limited region. However, the use of NO_2 measured by the molybdenum converter and/or the absence of a peroxy radical source in the current chemical model could over-emphasize the VOC-limited effect on ozone production. | Zhaofeng Tan Keding Lu Huabin Dong Min Hu Xin Li Yuhan Liu Sihua Lu Min Shao Rong Su Haichao Wang Yusheng Wu Andreas Wahner Yuanhang Zhang | 2018 | Science Bulletin2018,63,16: | 25 |
| 2 | Effect of kidney-reinforcing,blood-activating and stasis-removing recipes on adhesion molecule expression of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells from chronic aplastic anemia patients显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To explore the effect of kidney-reinforcing,blood-activating and stasis-removing recipes on adhesion molecule expression of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) from patients with chronic aplastic anemia(CAA).METHODS:We used threeTraditional Chinese Medicine recipes, namely a kidney-reinforcing recipe(KRR),blood-activating and stasis-removing recipe(BASRR),and kidney-reinforcing,blood-activating and stasis-removing recipe(KRBASRR),and a normal saline control to prepare herbal medicine serum in Sprague Dawley rats.Thirty CAA patients were enrolled in the experimental group, including 17 kidney-Yang deficient patients and 13 kidney-Yin deficient patients.Ten healthy individuals were included in the control group.MSCs were isolated from bone marrow samples, and the cell density was observed to measure their proliferation ability by microscopy on days 2,7,and 14 after isolation. In addition, the expression of adhesion molecules of bone marrow MSCs(CD106,CD49d,CD31 and CD44) were detected by flow cytometry after 48 h of treatment with the four different herbal medicine serums.RESULTS:The proliferation of MSCs from kidney-Yang deficient and kidney-Yin deficient patients was weaker than that of MSCs from the control group. The expression of all adhesion molecules of bone marrow MSCs from CAA patients was obviously lower than that in the control group(P< 0.01).The expression of CD49d and CD31 in MSCs from patients with a kidney-Yin deficiency was lower than in those with a kidney-yang deficiency(P< 0.05 and P<0.01,respectively).For kidney-Yang deficient patients,CD31 expression in the KRBASRR group was significantly higher than that in the BASRR group(P<0.01),while CD44 in the KRBASRR group was significantly higher than that in both KRR and BASRR groups(P<0.01).For kidney-Yin deficient patients,CD106 and CD49d expression in the KRBASRR group was obviously higher than that in the KRR group(P<0.05),while CD31 and CD44 expression in the KRBASRR group was significantly higher than that in both KRR and BASRR groups(P< 0.05 and P<0.01,respectively).CONCLUSION:The bone marrow microenvironment in CAA patients is abnormal. The effect of KRBASRR may be better than that of KRR and BASRR for kidney-Yang deficient and kidney-Yin deficient patients by improving the expression levels of MSC adhesion molecules. | Baodong Ye Dan Chen Dijiong Wu Xiangping Wu Xiang Zhang Yuhong Zhou Yiping Shen Keding Shao Qinhong Yu | 2012 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,4: | 12 |
| 3 | Efficacy and advantages of modified Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments based on'kidney reinforcing'for chronic aplastic ane-mia:a randomized controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To compare the efficacy of modified treatments based on 'kidney reinforcing' in the management of chronic aplastic anemia(CAA),and explore their advantages and specialties.METHODS:One hundred and eleven patients with CAA were randomly divided into three groups:kidney reinforcing alone(KA),'kidney reinforcing and Qi tonifying'(KQ),and 'kidney reinforcing and blood circulation invigorating'(KC).Normal and positive control groups were also formed. All patients were treated for 6 months(two courses).Hemograms,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndrome scores, and therapeutic effects were assessed, and changes in T-lymphocyte subsets, regulatory T cells and cytokines were detected.RESULTS:The KQ and KC groups had lower TCM syndrome scores than the positive control group after 6 months(P < 0.05).The KQ group had a higher overall efficacy than the positive control group after 3 months(P < 0.05),while platelet counts increased in the KC group after 6 months(P < 0.05).CD3+ T-lymphocyte ratios decreased only in the KQ group, while CD3 + CD4 + CD8-Tlymphocytes increased only in the KC group after 6 months(P <0.05).Levels of interferon-γ,tumor necrosis fac-tor-α,interleukin(IL)-2 and IL-6 decreased and levels of IL-4 and IL-10 increased in all treated groups after 6 months.Levels of IL-6 in the KQ and KC groups were lower than those in the positive control group(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Treatments based on kidney reinforcing have a rebalancing effect on cytotoxic and T helper cells, and regulate expression of interferon-γ,IL-2,IL-6 and IL-4.KQ may be more effective in treating CAA,and KC may have an advantage in platelet recovery. | Wu Dijiong Shen Yiping Ye Baodong Fang Bingmu Lin Shengyun Chen Zhilu Jiang Huifang Feng Changwei He Lüyuan Gao Yanting Liu Yonglin Liu Yonghua Zhu Jiajia Wu Liqiang Shao Keding Zhou Yuhong | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4: | 6 |
| 4 | Recent Progress in Atmospheric Chemistry Research in China: Establishing a Theoretical Framework for the “Air Pollution Complex”显示文摘Atmospheric chemistry research has been growing rapidly in China in the last 25 years since the concept of the“air pollution complex”was first proposed by Professor Xiaoyan TANG in 1997.For papers published in 2021 on air pollution(only papers included in the Web of Science Core Collection database were considered),more than 24000 papers were authored or co-authored by scientists working in China. In this paper,we review a limited number of representative and significant studies on atmospheric chemistry in China in the last few years, including studies on(1)sources and emission inventories,(2)atmospheric chemical processes,(3)interactions of air pollution with meteorology, weather and climate,(4)interactions between the biosphere and atmosphere,and(5)data assimilation. The intention was not to provide a complete review of all progress made in the last few years, but rather to serve as a starting point for learning more about atmospheric chemistry research in China. The advances reviewed in this paper have enabled a theoretical framework for the air pollution complex to be established, provided robust scientific support to highly successful air pollution control policies in China, and created great opportunities in education, training, and career development for many graduate students and young scientists. This paper further highlights that developing and low-income countries that are heavily affected by air pollution can benefit from these research advances, whilst at the same time acknowledging that many challenges and opportunities still remain in atmospheric chemistry research in China,to hopefully be addressed over the next few decades. | Tong ZHU Mingjin TANG Meng GAO Xinhui BI Junji CAO Huizheng CHE Jianmin CHEN Aijun DING Pingqing FU Jian GAO Yang GAO Maofa GE Xinlei GE Zhiwei HAN Hong HE Ru-Jin HUANG Xin HUANG Hong LIAO Cheng LIU Huan LIU Jianguo LIU Shaw Chen LIU Keding LU Qingxin MA Wei NIE Min SHAO Yu SONG Yele SUN Xiao TANG Tao WANG Tijian WANG Weigang WANG Xuemei WANG Zifa WANG Yan YIN Qiang ZHANG Weijun ZHANG Yanlin ZHANG Yunhong ZHANG Yu ZHAO Mei ZHENG Bin ZHU Jiang ZHU | 2023 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,8: | 2 |
