| 1 | Effect of dexamethasone on intelligence and hearing in preterm infants: a meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: A meta-analysis of published randomized controlled trials investigating the longterm effect of dexamethasone on the nervous system of preterm infants.DATA SOURCES: Online literature retrieval was conducted using The Cochrane Library(from January 1993 to June 2013), EMBASE(from January 1980 to June 2013), MEDLINE(from January 1963 to June 2013), OVID(from January 1993 to June 2013), Springer(from January 1994 to June 2013) and Chinese Academic Journal Full-text Database(from January 1994 to June 2013). Key words were preterm infants and dexamethasone in English and Chinese.STUDY SELECTION: Selected studies were randomized controlled trials assessing the effect of intravenous dexamethasone in preterm infants. The quality of the included papers was evaluated and those without the development of the nervous system and animal experiments were excluded. Quality assessment was performed through bias risk evaluation in accordance with Cochrane Handbook 5.1.0 software in the Cochrane Collaboration. The homogeneous studies were analyzed and compared using Revman 5.2.6 software, and then effect model was selected and analyzed. Those papers failed to be included in the meta-analysis were subjected to descriptive analysis.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Nervous system injury in preterm infants.RESULTS: Ten randomized controlled trials were screened, involving 1,038 subjects. Among them 512 cases received dexamethasone treatment while 526 cases served as placebo control group and blank control group. Meta-analysis results showed that the incidence of cerebral palsy, visual impairment and hearing loss in preterm infants after dexamethasone treatment within 7 days after birth was similar to that in the control group(RR = 1.47, 95%CI: 0.97–2.21; RR = 1.46, 95%CI: 0.97–2.20; RR = 0.80, 95%CI: 0.54–1.18; P > 0.05), but intelligence quotient was significantly decreased compared with the control group(MD =-3.55, 95%CI:-6.59 to-0.51; P = 0.02). Prete rm infants treated with dexamethasone 7 days after birth demonstrated an incidence of cerebral palsy and visual impairment, and changes in intelligence quotient similar to those in the control group(RR = 1.26, 95%CI: 0.89–1.79; RR = 1.37, 95%CI: 0.73–2.59; RR = 0.53, 95%CI: 0.32–0.89; RR = 1.66, 95%CI:-4.7 to 8.01; P > 0.05). However, the incidence of hearing loss was significantly increased compared with that in the control group(RR = 0.53, 95%CI: 0.32–0.89; P = 0.02).CONCLUSION: Dexamethasone may affect the intelligence of preterm infants in the early stages after birth, but may lead to hearing impairment at later stages after birth. | 2 | Experimental study on the shear performance of quasi-NPR steel bolted rock joints显示文摘Quasi-NPR(negative Poisson’s ratio)steel is a new type of super bolt material with high strength,high ductility,and a micro-negative Poisson’s effect.This material overcomes the contrasting characteristics of the high strength and high ductility of steel and it has significant energy-absorbing characteristics,which is of high value in deep rock and soil support engineering.However,research on the shear resistance of quasi-NPR steel has not been carried out.To study the shear performance of quasi-NPR steel bolted rock joints,indoor shear tests of bolted rock joints under different normal stress conditions were carried out.Q235 steel and#45 steel,two representative ordinary bolt steels,were set up as a control group for comparative tests to compare and analyze the shear strength,deformation and instability mode,shear energy absorption characteristics,and bolting contribution of different types of bolts.The results show that the jointed rock masses without bolt reinforcement undergo brittle failure under shear load,while the bolted jointed rock masses show obvious ductile failure characteristics.The shear deformation ca-pacity of quasi-NPR steel is more than 3.5 times that of Q235 steel and#45 steel.No fracture occurs in the quasi-NPR steel during large shear deformation and it can provide stable shear resistance.However,the other two types of control bolts become fractured under the same conditions.Quasi-NPR steel has significant energy-absorbing characteristics under shear load and has obvious advantages in terms of absorbing the energy released by shear deformation of jointed rock masses as compared with ordinary steel.In particular,the shear force plays a major role in resisting the shear deformation of Q235 steel and#45 steel,therefore,fracture failure occurs under small bolt deformation.However,the axial force of quasi-NPR steel can be fully exerted when resisting joint shear deformation;the steel itself does not break when large shear deformation occurs,and the supporting effect of the jointed rock mass is effectively guaranteed. | Manchao He Shulin Ren Haotian Xu Senlin Luo Zhigang Tao Chun Zhu | 2023 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,2: | 1 |
| 3 | A rapid audio event detection method by adopting 2D-Haar acoustic super feature vector显示文摘For accuracy and rapidity of audio event detection in the mass-data audio processing tasks,a generic method of rapidly recognizing audio event based on 2D-Haar acoustic super feature vector and AdaBoost is proposed.Firstly,it combines certain number of continuous audio frames to be an 'acoustic feature image',secondly,uses AdaBoost.MH or fast Random AdaBoost feature selection algorithm to select high representative 2D-Haar pattern combinations to construct super feature vectors;thirdly,analyzes the commonality and differences between subcategories,then extracts common features and reduces different features to obtain a generic audio event template,which can support the accurate identification of multiple sub-classes and detect and locate the specific audio event from the audio stream accurately.Experimental results show that the use of 2D-Haar acoustic feature super vector can make recognition accuracy 5% higher than ones that MFCC,PLP,LPCC and other traditional acoustic features yielded,and can make the training processing 7-20 times faster and the recognition processing 5-10 times faster,it can even achieve an average precision of 93.38%,an average recall of 95.03% under the optimal parameter configuration found by grid method.Above all,it can provide an accurate and fast mass-data processing method for audio event detection. | L Ying LUO Senlin GAO Xiaofang XIE Erman PAN Limin | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Acoustics2015,34,2: | 1 |

| 5 | Microblog Summarization via Enriching Contextual Features Based on Sentence-Level Semantic Analysis显示文摘A novel microblog summarization approach via enriching contextual features on sentencelevel semantic analysis is proposed in this paper. At first,a Chinese sentential semantic model( CSM) is employed to analyze the semantic structure of each microblog sentence. Then,a combination of sentence-level semantic analysis and latent dirichlet allocation is utilized to acquire extra features and related words to enrich the collection of microblog messages. The simlilarites between the two sentences are calculated based on the enriched features. Finally,the semantic weight and relation weight are calculated to select the most informative sentences,which form the final summary for microblog messages. Experimental results demonstrate the advantages of our proposed approach.The results indicate that introducing sentence-level semantic analysis for context enrichment can better represent sentential semantic. The proposed criteria,namely,semantic weight and relation weight enhance summary result. | 7 | Investigation of the impact of hydrodynamic conditions on sediment resuspension in shallow lakes显示文摘In this study,we sampled the original sediment columns from three points located in the eastern,central,and western areas of Chaohu Lake,and then investigated sediment resuspension under hydraulic disturbances in the laboratory. The results showed that when the hydraulic disturbance is weak and sediment surface shear stress is small (<0.02 N/m²),sediment surface layer moves alone. When the hydraulic disturbance is moderate and sediment surface shear stress is within a threshold (3.7 N/m²),only a small proportion of the surface sediments begins to move. However,when the hydraulic disturbance is further strengthened and sediment surface shear stress is larger than the threshold value,surface sediments move smoothly. By the experimental results,we found that the plankton layer is about 1 mm (1.56% of the maximum content of suspended matter (SSCmax)),which is the major contribution of individual sediment initiation. The new sediment layer is about 19–22 mm (20.9% of the SSCmax),which considerably affects sediment resuspension in shallow lakes. The consolidated layer is about 22 mm below the bed surface,which requires high shear stress and is hard to be transferred to the water column. | 9 | Electrocatalytic reduction of nitrate using Pd-Cu modified carbon nanotube membranes显示文摘Excessive nitrate in water is harmful to the ecological environment and human health.Electrocatalytic reduction is a promising technology for nitrate removal.Herein,a Pd-Cu modified carbon nanotube membrane was fabricated with an electrodeposition method and used to reduce nitrate in a flowthrough electrochemical reactor.The optimal potential and duration for codeposition of Pd and Cu were-0.7 V and 5 min,respectively,according to linear scan voltammetry results.The membrane obtained with a Pd:Cu ratio of 1:1 exhibited a relatively high nitrate removal efficiency and N_(2)selectivity.Nitrate was almost completely reduced(~99%)by the membrane at potentials lower than-1.2 V.However,-0.8 V was the optimal potential for nitrate reduction in terms of both nitrate removal efficiency and product selectivity.The nitrate removal efficiency was 56.2%,and the N_(2)selectivity was 23.8%for the Pd:Cu=1:1 membrane operated at-0.8 V.Nitrate removal was enhanced under acidic conditions,while N_(2)selectivity was decreased.The concentrations of Cl-ions and dissolved oxygen showed little effect on nitrate reduction.The mass transfer rate constant was greatly improved by 6.6 times from 1.14×10^(-3)m/h at a membrane flux of 1 L/(m^(2)·h)to 8.71×10^(-3)m/h at a membrane flux of 15 L/(m^(2)·h),which resulted in a significant increase in the nitrate removal rate from 13.6 to 133.5 mg/(m^(2)·h).These findings show that the Pd-Cu modified CNT membrane is an efficient material for nitrate reduction. | Zhijun Liu Xi Luo Senlin Shao Xue Xia | 2023 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,4: | 0 |

| 11 | Byte-Level Function-Associated Method for Malware Detection显示文摘The byte stream is widely used in malware detection due to its independence of reverse engineering.However,existing methods based on the byte stream implement an indiscriminate feature extraction strategy,which ignores the byte function difference in different segments and fails to achieve targeted feature extraction for various byte semantic representation modes,resulting in byte semantic confusion.To address this issue,an enhanced adversarial byte function associated method for malware backdoor attack is proposed in this paper by categorizing various function bytes into three functions involving structure,code,and data.The Minhash algorithm,grayscale mapping,and state transition probability statistics are then used to capture byte semantics from the perspectives of text signature,spatial structure,and statistical aspects,respectively,to increase the accuracy of byte semantic representation.Finally,the three-channel malware feature image is constructed based on different function byte semantics,and a convolutional neural network is applied for detection.Experiments on multiple data sets from 2018 to 2021 show that the method can effectively combine byte functions to achieve targeted feature extraction,avoid byte semantic confusion,and improve the accuracy of malware detection. | Jingwei Hao Senlin Luo Limin Pan | 2023 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,46,7: | 0 |
