| 2 | Blockade of Tim-3 Pathway Ameliorates Interferon-γ Production from Hepatic CD8^+ T Cells in a Mouse Model of Hepatitis B Virus Infection显示文摘T cell immunoglobulin-and mucin-domain-containing molecule-3(Tim-3) has been reported to participate in the pathogenesis of inflammatory diseases. However,whether Tim-3 is involved in hepatitis B virus(HBV) infection remains unknown. Here,we studied the expression and function of Tim-3 in a hydrodynamics-based mouse model of HBV infection. A significant increase of Tim-3 expression on hepatic T lymphocytes,especially on CD8+ T cells,was demonstrated in HBV model mice from day 7 to day 18. After Tim-3 knockdown by specific shRNAs,significantly increased IFN-γ production from hepatic CD8+ T cells in HBV model mice was observed. Very interestingly,we found Tim-3 expression on CD8+ T cells was higher in HBV model mice with higher serum anti-HBs production. Moreover,Tim-3 knockdown influenced anti-HBs production in vivo. | 5 | Evidences of rapid erosion driven by climate in the Yarlung Zangbo (Tsangpo) Great Canyon,the eastern Himalayan syntaxis显示文摘Climate and tectonism are both particularly intense in the Yarlung Zangbo (Tsangpo) Great Canyon in the eastern Himalayan syntaxis,which is characterized by the most rapid landscape evolution of anywhere in the world.Thus,the eastern Himalayan syntaxis is one of the best locations to study the interactions between climate and tectonics.This paper investigates the cooling ages of the Doxong La-Baibung profile using apatite fission track (AFT) dating on 11 bedrock samples at elevations ranging from 4210 to 710 m.There are topographic,climatic,metamorphic,and thermochronological gradients in the profile,providing good conditions to study interactions between climate and tectonics.AFT ages ranged from 4.6±0.6 Ma to 1.7±0.3 Ma,and the mean fission track lengths ranged from 11.0 to 12.4 μm.It was found that the cooling rates revealed by AFT ages increased with decreasing elevation.However,the tendency of the cooling rates revealed by the 40 Ar-39 Ar ages was different from that indicated by the AFT ages.Moreover,for most districts of the eastern Himalayan syntaxis,the compiled AFT age distribution correlates well with the annual average precipitation,indicating the coupling of the cooling and erosion rates of the near-surface rock and precipitation.The geothermal history modeling results indicate an obvious increase in the cooling and erosion rate between 1.0 and 0.5 Ma.This age is consistent with other research findings for this time,when the vapor channel of the Yarlung Zangbo Great Canyon began to take effect.These evidences suggest that climate,especially precipitation,has acting as a key factor influencing the rapid cooling and erosion in the Yarlung Zangbo Great Canyon since 1-0.5 Ma. | YU XiangJiang JI JianQing GONG JunFeng SUN DongXia QING JianChun WANG LiNing ZHONG DaLai ZHANG ZhiCheng | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,11: | 11 |
| 6 | Design of a control system for a macro-micro dual-drive high acceleration high precision positioning stage for IC packaging显示文摘A macro-micro dual-drive positioning system showing good potential for high acceleration and high precision positioning required in IC packaging applications is devised in this paper. The dual-drive positioning stage uses a VCM (voice coil motor) driven macro positioning stage and a PZT piezo-electric driven micro positioning stage. The coupling characteristics of the system are analyzed to produce a control structure with a micro positioning stage that can dynamically compensate for the positioning error produced by the macro positioning stage. Models of the two positioning stages are described. The models cover both the mechanism and the actuator. For the macro positioning stage, friction characteristics are taken into account, and a controller with an LQG (linear-quadratic-Gaussian) control algorithm combining a feed-forward compensation algorithm is derived. A PID controller is used to control the micro positioning stage. | 11 | An in-pipe micro robot actuated by piezoelectric bimorphs显示文摘A novel in-pipe micro robot providing stable and accurate locomotion inside a tubular structure with diameters ranging from 16 mm to 18 mm is presented in this paper. Driven by impulsive voltages, deflections of the piezoelectric bimorphs are generated and then converted into translational locomotion by the principle of the Impact Drive Mechanism (IDM). Theoretical analysis of the proposed system is performed based on a simplified mechanical model. Then dynamic simulations of the dynamic behavior are performed. Finally, an experiment is conducted to investigate the moving ability of this device. The results demonstrate that a maximum translational velocity of 3.5 mm/s can be obtained under an impulsive driving voltage with peak value at 50 V and frequency of 1100 Hz.
