| 1 | Galectin-3-centered paracrine network mediates cardiac inflammation and fibrosis upon β-adrenergic insult显示文摘Rapid over-activation of β-adrenergic receptors (β-AR) following acute stress initiates cardiac inflammation and injury by activating interleukin-18 (IL-18),however,the process of inflammation cascades has not been fully illustrated.The present study aimed to determine the mechanisms of cardiac inflammatory amplification following acute sympathetic activation.With bioinformatics analysis,galectin-3 was identified as a potential key downstream effector of β-AR and IL-18 activation.The serum level of galectin-3 was positively correlated with norepinephrine or IL-18 in patients with chest pain.In the heart of mice treated with β-AR agonist isoproterenol (ISO,5 mg kg^(-1)),galectin-3 expression was upregulated markedly later than IL-18 activation,and Nlrp3^(-/-)and Il18^(-/-)mice did not show ISO-induced galectin-3 upregulation.It was further revealed that cardiomyocyte-derived IL-18 induced galectin-3 expression in macrophages following ISO treatment.Moreover,galectin-3deficiency suppressed ISO-induced cardiac inflammation and fibrosis without blocking ISO-induced IL-18 increase.Treatment with a galectin-3 inhibitor,but not a β-blocker,one day after ISO treatment effectively attenuated cardiac inflammation and injury.In conclusion,galectin-3 is upregulated to exaggerate cardiac inflammation and injury following acute β-AR activation,a galectin-3 inhibitor effectively blocks cardiac injury one day after β-AR insult. | Guomin Hu Jimin Wu Huijun Gu Xiangning Deng Wenli Xu Shan Feng Shuaixing Wang Yao Song Zhengda Pang Xiuling Deng Aleksandr E.Vendrov Nageswara R.Madamanchi Marschall S.Runge Xinyu Wang Youyi Zhang Han Xiao Erdan Dong | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,5: | 3 |

| 3 | Aeolian dust dynamics in the Fergana Valley, Central Asia, since -30 ka inferred from loess deposits显示文摘Knowledge of the interactions among atmospheric dynamics,dust emissions and climate system is essential to understand the physical mechanisms for the dust lifecycle,their role in loess formation as well as the predictions of future dust concentration.However,these issues still remain relatively poorly known in Central Asia(CA).The extensive loess deposits on the CA pediments provide a promising archive to explore atmospheric dust dynamics and climatic conditions in the past and their association with loess formation.This study investigates the granulometric and magnetic properties of a loess section(named Osh section)in the Fergana Valley,which provides a sensitive record of atmospheric dust dynamics since 30 ka based on radiometric(AMS ^(14)C)dating.The frequency-dependent magnetic susceptibility(χfd)and the mean grain size are used to reconstruct the broadscale effective moisture and summer atmospheric dynamics pattern in CA,respectively.The results show that the precession forcing exerts a huge influence on the wind-regime variabilities in CA,but with different physical processes under the impact of the Northern Hemisphere ice sheet(NHIS)before and after 15 ka.The origin of the sedimentation rate variations in the Osh loess is also linked to the NHIS-modulated changes of the atmospheric circulation patterns.Either the strengthened westerlies or the increased surface roughness from higher vegetation cover in loess-deposition areas have significantly accelerated the loess accumulation.As a result,these complicated influence factors of sedimentation rate change in the Osh loess section,especially during the Holocene epoch,may hamper accessibility of the authentic dust emission flux and atmospheric dust concentration in CA. | Yue Li Yougui Song Dimitris G.Kaskaoutis Jinbo Zan Rustam Orozbaev Liangcheng Tan Xiuling Chen | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,5: | 1 |
| 4 | Concurrent silencing of TBCE and drug delivery to overcome platinum-based resistance in liver cancer显示文摘Platinum-based chemotherapy resistance is a key factor of poor prognosis and recurrence in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Herein,RNAseq analysis revealed that elevated tubulin folding cofactor E(TBCE)expression is associated with platinum-based chemotherapy resistance.High expression of TBCE contributes to worse prognoses and earlier recurrence among liver cancer patients.Mechanistically,TBCE silencing significantly affects cytoskeleton rearrangement,which in turn increases cisplatin-induced cycle arrest and apoptosis.To develop these findings into potential therapeutic drugs,endosomal pH-responsive nanoparticles(NPs)were developed to simultaneously encapsulate TBCE siRNA and cisplatin(DDP)to reverse this phenomena.NPs(siTBCE+DDP)concurrently silenced TBCE expression,increased cell sensitivity to platinum treatment,and subsequently resulted in superior anti-tumor effects both in vitro and in vivo in orthotopic and patient-derived xenograft(PDX)models.Taken together,NP-mediated delivery and the co-treatment of siTBCE+DDP proved to be effective in reversing chemotherapy resistance of DDP in multiple tumor models. | Senlin Li Siyu Chen Zhihui Dong Xingdong Song Xiuling Li Ziqi Huang Huiru Li Linzhuo Huang Ganyuan Zhuang Ran Lan Mingyan Guo Wende Li Phei Er Saw Lei Zhang | 2023 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,3: | 1 |

| 6 | Electroacupuncture stimulating Zhongji(CV3),Guanyuan(CV4),and bilateral Dahe(KI12)attenuates inflammation in rats with chronic nonbacterial prostatitis induced by estradiol through inhibiting toll-like receptor 4 pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CP/CPPS),also known as chronic nonbacterial prostatitis(CNP),and explore its underlying mechanism.METHODS:A CNP rat was established by surgical castration combined with 17-βestradiol injection in male Sprague-Dawley rats for thirty consecutive days.The CNP rats received EA treatment once a day for eight days.Chronic pelvic pain was evaluated by mechanical withdrawal threshold measurement.The histological change was assessed by hematoxylin-eosin staining.The inflammatory cytokines in prostates were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays.The expressions of toll-like receptor 4(TLR4),myeloid differentiation factor 88(MyD88),inhibitors of kappa-B alpha(IκBα),and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)were detected by Western blotting.The nuclear translocation of NF-κB and the location of TLR4 were observed with immunofluorescence staining.RESULTS:The results showed that EA decreased the prostate index,upregulated the mechanical withdrawal threshold,restored the histomorphology of the prostate,reduced the inflammatory factor levels,inhibited NF-κB p65 nuclear translocation,and downregulated the expression levels of critical proteins involved in the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway in prostates.CONCLUSIONS:Our findings suggested that EA could relieve pelvic pain and attenuate prostatic inflammation in estradiol-induced CNP rats.The underlying mechanism may be related to the inhibition of the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway. | LI Zhihao HAN Wenjun SONG Xiuling LI Yan CHEN Yuelai | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,5: | 0 |
| 7 | Deep eutectic solvent-based gel electrolytes for flexible electrochromic devices with excellent high/low temperature durability显示文摘With the increasing interest in the application of electrochromism to flexible and wearable electronics in recent years,flexible electrochromic devices(ECDs)that can function at extreme temperatures are required.However,the functionalities of flexible ECDs are severely hampered by the inadequate choice of electrolytes,which might ultimately result in performance fading during low-and high-temperature operations.Here,we develop a deep eutectic solvent(DES)-based gel electrolyte that can maintain its optical,electrical,and mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures(-40 to 150℃),exhibiting an extremely high visible-range transmittance over 90%,ion conductivity of 0.63 mS cm^(-1),and fracture strain exceeding 2000%.Owing to the excellent processability of the DES-based electrolytes,provided by dynamic interactions such as the lithium and hydrogen bonding between the DES and polymer matrix,a directly written patterning in ECDs is realized for the first time.The fabricated ECDs exhibit an excellent electrochromic behavior superior to the behavior of the ECDs fabricated with traditional gel electrolytes.The introduction of such DES-based electrolytes is expected to pave the way for a widespread application of electrochromic products. | Peiyan Sun Jian Chen Yaowu Li Xueqing Tang Hongzhao Sun Ge Song Xinyang Mu Taoyang Zhang Xiuling Zha Feifan Li Yanfeng Gao Shan Cong Zhigang Zhao | 2023 | InfoMat2023,5,2: | 0 |
| 8 | Multi-Environmental Genetic Analysis of Grain Size Traits Based on Chromosome Segment Substitution Line in Rice(Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Grain size traits are critical agronomic traits which directly determine grain yield,but the genetic bases of these traits are still not well understood.In this study,a total of 154 chromosome segment substitution lines(CSSLs)population derived from a cross between a japonica variety Koshihikari and an indica variety Nona Bokra was used to investigate grain length(GL),grain width(GW),length-width ratio(LWR),grain perimeter(GP),grain area(GA),and thousand grain weight(TGW)under four environments.QTL mapping analysis of six grain size traits was performed by QTL IciMapping 4.2 with an inclusive composite interval mapping(ICIM)model.A total of 64 QTLs were identified for these traits,which mapped to chromosomes 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,10,11,and 12 and accounted for 1.6%–27.1%of the total phenotypic variations.Among these QTLs,thirty-six loci were novel and seven QTLs were identified under four environments.One locus containing the known grain size gene,qGL3/GL3.1/OsPPKL1,also have been found.Moreover,five pairs of digenic epistatic interactions were identified except for GL and GP.These findings will facilitate fine mapping of the candidate gene and QTL pyramiding to genetically improve grain yield in rice. | Yujia Leng Shuilian Wang Ruoan Wang Tao Tao Shuwen Jia Tao Song Lina Xu Xiuling Cai Sukui Jin Jiping Gao | 2022 | Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2022,91,5: | 0 |
| 9 | Electronic interaction and oxygen vacancy engineering of g-C_(3)N_(4)/α-Bi_(2)O_(3) Zscheme heterojunction for enhanced photocatalytic aerobic oxidative homo-/hetero-coupling of amines to imines in aqueous phase显示文摘Photocatalytic oxidation coupling of amines represents a green and cost-effective method for the synthesis of highly value-added imines under visible light irradiation.However,the catalytic efficiency was severely limited by poor visible light response and easy recombination of photogenerated charge carriers.Herein,we report a g-CgN_(4)/α-Bi_(2)O_(3)Z-scheme heterojunction via electrostatic self-assembly of g-C_(3)N_(4)nanosheets and oxygen-va-cancy-rich aα-Bi_(2)O_(3)microsphere for visible-light driven oxidative coupling of amines to imines in H_(2)0 as green solvent at room temperature.Amines with diverse functional groups were efficiently converted into the corre-sponding imines in good to excellent yields.Impressively,this photocatalytic protocol is applicable for the challenging hetero-coupling of two structurally different amines to construct complicated asymmetric imines,which is the first report of photocatalytic hetero-coupling of amines to imines to our knowledge.Furthermore,the Z-scheme heterojunction also demonstrated high stability and could be readily separated and reused without obvious decay in activity and selectivity.Comprehensive characterizations and control experiments reveal the construction of Z-scheme heterojunction with intimate interface between g-CgN4 and a-Bi_(2)O_(3)greatly boosts the transfer and separation of photogenerated charge carries and enhances the redox capability.Meanwhile,the surface oxygen vacancies in a-Biz_(2)O_(3)also benefits the separation of photogenerated charge carriers and acti-vation of reactants.These jointly contributed to an enhanced photocatalytic performance for oxidative coupling of amines to imines. | Yanhua Gao Tao Song Xiuling Guo Yan Zhang Yong Yang | 2023 | Green Carbon2023,1,2: | 0 |
