1An efficient range-free localization algorithm for wireless sensor networks显示文摘Node positioning is a fundamental problem in applications of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In this paper, a new range-free algorithm, called spring swarm localization algorithm (SSLA), is proposed for positioning WSNs. To determine the locations of sensor nodes, the proposed algorithm uses network topology information and a small fraction of sensor nodes which know their locations. Numerical simulations show that high positioning accuracy can be obtained by using the algorithm. 2Genome-wide characterization and analysis of b HLH transcription factors in Panax ginseng显示文摘Ginseng(Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) is one of the best-selling herbal medicines, with ginsenosides as its main pharmacologically active constituents. Although extensive chemical and pharmaceutical studies of these compounds have been performed, genome-wide studies of the basic helix-loop-helix(b HLH) transcription factors of ginseng are still limited. The b HLH transcription factor family is one of the largest transcription factor families found in eukaryotic organisms, and these proteins are involved in a myriad of regulatory processes. In our study, 169 bHLH transcription factor genes were identified in the genome of P. ginseng, and phylogenetic analysis indicated that these PGb HLHs could be classified into 24 subfamilies. A total of 21 RNA-seq data sets, including two sequencing libraries for jasmonate(JA)-responsive and 19 reported libraries for organ-specific expression analyses were constructed. Through a combination of gene-specific expression patterns and chemical contents,6 PGbHLH genes from 4 subfamilies were revealed to be potentially involved in the regulation of ginsenoside biosynthesis. These 6 PGbHLHs, which had distinct target genes, were further divided into two groups depending on the absence of MYC-N structure. 3Global Pharmacopoeia Genome Database is an integrated and mineable genomic database for traditional medicines derived from eight international pharmacopoeias显示文摘Genomic data have demonstrated considerable traction in accelerating contemporary studies in traditional medicine. However,the lack of a uniform format and dispersed storage limits the full potential of herb genomic data. In this study, we developed a Global Pharmacopoeia Genome Database(GPGD). The database contains 34,346 records for 903 herb species from eight global pharmacopoeias(Brazilian, Egyptian, European, Indian, Japanese, Korean, the Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China, and U.S. Pharmacopoeia’s Herbal Medicines Compendium). In particular, the GPGD contains 21,872 DNA barcodes from 867 species, 2,203 organelle genomes from 674 species, 55 whole genomes from 49 species, 534 genomic sequencing datasets from 366 species, and 9,682 transcriptome datasets from 350 species. Among the organelle genomes, 534 genomes from 366 species were newly generated in this study. Whole genomes, organelle genomes, genomic fragments, transcriptomes, and DNA barcodes were uniformly formatted and arranged by species. The GPGD is publicly accessible at http://gffzzf938e9d610ce4c4ah55xp6bpxbquq6qkq.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn and serves as an essential resource for species identification, decomposition of biosynthetic pathways, and molecular-assisted breeding analysis. 4Requirement of ultra-high voltage GIS arrester to voltage gradient of metal-oxide varistor显示文摘The surge arrester with excellent protection characteristics would decrease the overvoltage level ap- plied on the power apparatus to reduce their insulation levels and manufacturing bottleneck. The arrester for the 1000-kV ultra-high voltage ac power transmission system is designed as tank-type structure. The field-circuit combination numerical method combining the three-dimensional finite element method with circuit is proposed to analyze the potential distribution of GIS arrester. By comparing several design schemes, the most effective method to improve the potential distribution along the varistor column is to increase the voltage gradient of the ZnO varistor. Synthesizing several influential factors, the suitable voltage gradient of ZnO varistor should be controlled to 435 V/mm, and the resulted nonuniform degree of the potential distribution along the varistor column inside the GIS arrester would be controlled smaller than 10%. 6Enhanced RuBisCO activity and promoted dicotyledons growth with degradable carbon dots显示文摘The ~ 5 nm degradable carbon dots (CDs) were synthesized directly from carbon rod by a one-step electrochemical method at room temperature.The as-prepared CDs can effectively enhance the ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase oxygenase (RuBisCO) activity,and then promote the dicotyledons growth (soybean,tomato,eggplant and so on) and finally increase their yields.Here,we used Arabidopsis thaliana and Trifolium repens L.as model plants to systematically study the beneficial effects of CDs on plant growth.These include:(i) accelerating seed germination;(ii) enlarging root elongation;(iii) increasing metal ions absorption and delivery;(iv) improving enzymes activity;(v) enhancing the carbohydrate content;(vi) degradation into plant hormone analogues and CO2;and finally (vii) enhancing the grain production by about 20%.Hao Li Jian Huang Yang Liu Fang Lu Jun Zhong Yong Wang Shuiming Li Yeshayahu Lifshitz Shuit-Tong Lee Zhenhui Kang 2019Nano Research2019,12,7:8
7Genetic analysis of segregation distortion of mating-type factors in Lentinula edodes显示文摘Analyses of the mating-type ratio of protoplast monokaryons to spores in 28 strains of Lentinula edodes were performed through statistical methods. The results showed that the segregation distortion phenomenon commonly exists in both types of Lentinula edodes, 17 out of the 28 samples did not display the expected 1∶1 ratio of protoplast monokaryons; and among them 8 fruiting strains distorted 1∶1∶1∶1 segregation of spores. The degree of distortion in all tested wild strains was significantly lower than that of cultured strains. In fruiting test of positive-negative parent, predominant spores were those with the mating type identical to dikaryotic parent, indicating that the predominance of nuclei mainly depends on the mating type of dikaryotic parent. 8Two-port network model and startup criteria for thermoacoustic oscillators显示文摘The startup process of a thermoacoustic engine is a self-excited oscillation process generated in inhomogeneous acoustic media. To reveal these coupling relations between various influential factors is an important task of basic research on thermoacoustics. In this paper thermoacoustic engines are regarded as thermoacoustic oscillators consisting of the active network and the passive network. Accordingly, the two-port Y-parameter for relevant component is derived, and standing wave and traveling wave thermoacoustic engine are described by the negative-resistance and feedback model, respectively. The relevant two-port network topology is given as well. The startup criteria for thermoacoustic oscillators are obtained by using Nyquist instability criterion. The model prediction of startup parameters, particularly, startup frequency and mode characteristic are in agreement with that of experimental results reported in the literature. Moreover, with topological graphs it is verified that standing wave engines would start up in a negative-resistance state and there would exist high frequency modes in thermoacoustic-Stirling engines. By investigating into the frequency response of thermoacoustic system, this method proposed can achieve such an objective that these effects of operating and structural parameters of engine on startup modes and startup temperature can be revealed in an analytical way. 9A Comparative Analysis of the Chloroplast Genomes of Four Salvia Medicinal Plants显示文摘Herbgenomics is an emerging field of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)research and development.By combining TCM research with genomics,herbgenomics can help to establish the scientific validity of TCM and bring it into wider usage within the field of medicine.Salvia Linn.(S.Linn.)is a large genus of Labiatae that includes important medicinal plants.In this herbgenomics study,the complete chloroplast(cp)genomes of two Salvia spp.—namely,S.przewalskii and S.bulleyana,which are used as a surrogate for S.miltiorrhiza—were sequenced and compared with those of two other reported Salvia spp.—namely,S.miltiorrhiza and S.japonica.The genome organization,gene number,type,and repeat sequences were compared.The annotation results showed that both Salvia plants contain 114 unique genes,including 80 protein-coding,30 transfer RNA(tRNA),and four ribosomal RNA(rRNA)genes.Repeat sequence analysis revealed 21 forward and 22 palindromic sequences in both Salvia cp genomes,and 17 and 21 tandem repeats in S.przewalskii and S.bulleyana,respectively.A synteny comparison of the Salvia spp.cp genomes showed a high degree of sequence similarity in the coding regions and a relatively high divergence of the intergenic spacers.Pairwise alignment and single-nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)analyses found some candidate fragments to identify Salvia spp.,such as the intergenic region of the trnV–ndhC,trnQ–rps16,atpI–atpH,psbA–ycf3,ycf1,rpoC2,ndhF,matK,rpoB,rpoA,and accD genes.All of the results—including the repeat sequences and SNP sites,the inverted repeat(IR)region border,and the phylogenetic analysis—showed that S.przewalskii and S.bulleyana are extremely similar from a genetic standpoint.The cp genome sequences of the two Salvia spp.reported here will pave the way for breeding,species identification,phylogenetic evolution,and cp genetic engineering studies of Salvia medicinal plants.Conglian Liang Lei Wang Juan Lei Baozhong Duan Weisi Ma Shuiming Xiao Haijun Qi Zhen Wang Yaoqi Liu Xiaofeng Shen Shuai Guo Haoyu Hu Jiang Xu Shilin Chen 2019Engineering2019,5,5:5
10Analysis of the Prevalence and Situation of Myopia in Adolescents from South China显示文摘Purpose: To conduct dynamic detection of refraction changes in adolescents with myopia and analyze the correlation between different reexamination times and factors that included age of onset, initial refractive power, and rate of myopia progression.Methods: A total of 900 adolescents(aged 6-15 years) with myopia admitted to Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center between2009 and 2013 were randomly selected in this investigation.All participants underwent objective refraction measurement with an autorefractometer(Topcon 8900) or streak retinoscopy and subjective refraction detection with an autorefractor(Nidek).or minus-lens procedures at different time intervals(6months, 1, and 2 years). Accurate refractive power was obtained..All data were analyzed with SPSS 18.0 statistical software.Results:.The mean refractive power was increased by 0.56 ±0.37 diopters(D) after 6 months,.by 0.83±0.45 D after 1 year,.and by 1.50±0.70 D after 2 years..Among the 900 adolescents,.the most rapid increase in refractive power was observed at the age of 8 years at the 6-month reexamination, at the age of8 and 9 years at the 1-year reexamination,.and at the age of 7-9 years at the 2-year reexamination..The increase in index of refraction tended to diminish with aging..The different cycles of reexamination revealed a slowing of the rate of myopia progression along with the increase in the initial index of refraction..The highest rate of myopia progression was noted in low-myopic adolescents with initial refractive power ranging from-0.25 to 2.75 D.Conclusion:.No positive correlation was documented between different cycles of reexamination and the refractive power. 11Approximate computation of Madaline sensitivity based on discrete stochastic technique显示文摘The computation of the sensitivity of a Madaline's output to its parameter perturbation is system- atically discussed. Firstly, according to the discrete feature of Adalines, a method based on discrete stochastic technique is proposed, which derives some analytical formulas for the computation of Adalines' sensitivity. The method can theoretically solve some problems that are unsolvable by the existing methods based on continu- ous stochastic techniques, release some unpractical constraints, and make it available to theoretically analyze the approximation error of Adalines' sensitivity. Secondly, on the basis of the sensitivity of Adalines and the structural characteristics of Madalines, a new selection strategy depending on a type of dedication degree for computing Madalines' sensitivity is proposed, which is superior to current popular way of simply averaging in both precision and complexity. 16C-X3-C motif chemokine ligand 1/receptor 1 regulates the M1 polarization and chemotaxis of macrophages after hypoxia/reoxygenation injury显示文摘Background:Macrophages play an important role in renal ischemia reperfusion injury,but the functional changes of macrophages under hypoxia/reoxygenation and the related mechanism are unclear and need to be further clarified.Methods:The effects of hypoxia/reoxygenation on functional characteristics of RAW264.7 macrophages were analyzed through the protein expression detection of pro-inflammatory factors TNF-αand CD80,anti-inflammatory factors ARG-1 and CD206.The functional implications of C-X3-C motif chemokine receptor 1(CX3CR1)down-regulation in hypoxic macrophages were explored using small interfering RNA technology.Significance was assessed by the parametrict-test or nonparametric Mann-Whitney test for two group comparisons,and a one-way ANOVA or the Kruskal-Wallis test for multiple group comparisons.Results:Hypoxia/reoxygenation significantly increased the protein expression of M1-related pro-inflammatory factors TNF-α,CD80 and chemokine C-X3-C motif chemokine ligand 1(CX3CL1)/CX3CR1 and inhibited the protein expression of M2-related anti-inflammatory factors ARG-1 and CD206 in a time-dependent manner in RAW264.7 cells.However,the silencing of CX3CR1 in RAW264.7 cells using specific CX3CR1-siRNA,significantly attenuated the increase in protein expression of TNF-α(P<0.05)and CD80(P<0.01)and the inhibition of ARG-1(P<0.01)and CD206(P<0.01)induced by hypoxia/reoxygenation.In addition,we also found that hypoxia/reoxygenation could significantly enhance the migration(2.2-fold,P<0.01)and adhesion capacity(1.5-fold,P<0.01)of RAW264.7 macrophages compared with the control group,and CX3CR1-siRNA had an inhibitory role(40%and 20%reduction,respectively).For elucidating the mechanism,we showed that the phosphorylation levels of ERK(P<0.01)and the p65 subunit of NF-κB(P<0.01)of the RAW264.7 cells in the hypoxic/reoxygenation group were significantly increased,which could be attenuated by down-regulation of CX3CR1 expression(P<0.01,both).ERK inhibitors also significantly blocked the effects of hypoxic/reoxygenation on the protein expression of M1-related pro-inflammatory factors TNF-α,CD80 and M2-related anti-inflammatory factors ARG-1 and CD206.Moreover,we found that conditioned medium from polarized M1 macrophages induced by hypoxia/reoxygenation,notably increased the degree of apoptosis of hypoxia/reoxygenation-induced TCMK-1 cells,and promoted the protein expression of pro-apoptotic proteins bax(P<0.01)and cleaved-caspase 3(P<0.01)and inhibited the expression of anti-apoptotic protein bcl-2(P<0.01),but silencing CX3CR1 in macrophages had a protective role.Finally,we also found that the secretion of soluble CX3CL1 in RAW264.7 macrophages under hypoxia/reoxygenation was significantly increased.Conclusions:The findings suggest that hypoxia/reoxygenation could promote M1 polarization,cell migration,and adhesion of macrophages,and that polarized macrophages induce further apoptosis of hypoxic renal tubular epithelial cells by regulating of CX3CL1/CX3CR1 signaling pathway.Shuiming Guo Lei Dong Junhua Li Yuetao Chen Ying Yao Rui Zeng Nelli Shushakova Hermann Haller Gang Xu Song Rong 2021Chronic Diseases and Translational Medicine2021,7,4:1

20Optimizing the Extraction of Anthocyanins from Pitaya(Hylocereus undatus)Pericarp显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to confirm the existence of anthocyanins in pitaya(Hylocereus undatus)pericarp and optimize the extraction condition.[Methods]Single-factor tests were carried out on five factors:ethanol concentration,extraction temperature,ultrasonic power,solid-to-liquid ratio and extraction time.Based on the single-factor test results,four factors and three levels of process conditions were optimized by Box-Behnken design test.[Results]Anthocyanins exist in the pericarp of pitaya,and the optimum conditions were extraction temperature 49℃,ultrasonic power 120 W,extracted time 2 h and ethanol concentration 60%.Under these conditions,the average yield of anthocyanins was 80 mg/100g.[Conclusions]This study provides a theoretical basis for the extraction of anthocyanins from the pericarp of red-flesh pitaya.Shuiming CHENG Xia ZENG Guoyu ZHOU Caimei YAN 2020Agricultural Biotechnology2020,9,4:1
