| 2 | Efficient dark channel based image dehazing using quadtrees显示文摘Using dark channel prior-a kind of statistics of the haze-free outdoor images-to remove haze from a single image input is simple and effective. However, due to the use of soft matting algorithm, the method suffers from massive consumption of both memory and time, which largely limits its scalability for large images. In this paper, we present a hierarchical approach to accelerate dark channel based image dehazing. The core of our approach is a novel, efficient scheme for solving the soft matting problem involved in image dehazing, using adaptively subdivided quadtrees built in image space. Acceleration is achieved by transforming the problem of solving a N-variable linear system required in soft matting, to a problem of solving a much smaller m-variable linear system, where N is the number of pixels and m is the number of the corners in the quadtree. | 3 | Delay-Dependent Exponential Stability for Nonlinear Reaction-Diffusion Uncertain Cohen-Grossberg Neural Networks with Partially Known Transition Rates via Hardy-Poincaré Inequality显示文摘In this paper, stochastic global exponential stability criteria for delayed impulsive Markovian jumping reaction-diffusion Cohen-Grossberg neural networks(CGNNs for short) are obtained by using a novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach, linear matrix inequalities(LMIs for short) technique, It formula, Poincar′e inequality and Hardy-Poincaré inequality, where the CGNNs involve uncertain parameters, partially unknown Markovian transition rates, and even nonlinear p-Laplace diffusion(p > 1). It is worth mentioning that ellipsoid domains in Rm(m ≥ 3) can be considered in numerical simulations for the first time owing to the synthetic applications of Poincar′e inequality and Hardy-Poincar′e inequality. | 4 | Boosted cascade of scattered rectangle features for object detection显示文摘This paper presents a variant of Haar-like feature used in Viola and Jones detection framework,called scattered rectangle feature,based on the common-component analysis of local region feature. Three common components,feature filter,feature structure and feature form,are extracted without concern-ing the details of the studied region features,which cast a new light on region feature design for spe-cific applications and requirements: modifying some component(s) of a feature for an improved one or combining different components of existing features for a new favorable one. Scattered rectangle feature follows the former way,extending the feature structure component of Haar-like feature out of the restriction of the geometry adjacency rule,which results in a richer representation that explores much more orientations other than horizontal,vertical and diagonal,as well as misaligned,detached and non-rectangle shape information that is unreachable to Haar-like feature. | 5 | Defective arginine metabolism impairs mitochondrial homeostasis in Caenorhabditis elegans显示文摘Arginine catabolism involves enzyme-dependent reactions in both mitochondria and the cytosol,defects in which may lead to hyperargininemia,a devastating developmental disorder.It is largely unknown if defective arginine catabolism has any effects on mitochondria.Here we report that normal arginine catabolism is essential for mitochondrial homeostasis in Caenorhabditis elegans.Mutations of the arginase gene argn-1 lead to abnormal mitochondrial enlargement and reduced adenosine triphosphate(ATP)production in C elegans hypodermal cells.ARGN-1 localizes to mitochondria and its loss causes arginine accumulation,which disrupts mitochondrial dynamics.Heterologous expression of human ARGl or ARG2 rescued the mitochondrial defects of argn-1 mutants.Importantly,genetic inactivation of the mitochondrial basic amino acid transporter SLC-25A29 or the mitochondrial glutamate transporter SLC-25A18.1 fully suppressed the mitochondrial defects caused by argn-1 mutations.These findings suggest that mitochondrial damage probably contributes to the pathogenesis of hyperargininemia and provide clues for developing therapeutic treatments for hyperargininemia. | Ruofeng Tang Xin Wang Junxiang Zhou Fengxia Zhang Shan Zhao Qiwen Gan Liyuan Zhao Fengyang Wang Qian Zhang Jie Zhang Guodong Wang Chonglin Yang | 2020 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2020，47，3： | 2 |
| 6 | Much enhanced electromagnetic wave absorbing properties from the synergistic effect of graphene/γ-graphyne heterostructure in both gigahertz and terahertz band ranges显示文摘Exploring advanced electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbers is one of the most feasible ways to solve the increasing electromagnetic pollution in both military and civil fields.In this work,γ-graphyne(γ-GY)is synthesized by a mechanochemical route using CaC2 and hexabromobenzene(PhBr6).Then three-dimensional(3D)reduced graphene oxide/γ-GY(RGO/GY)heterostructures are prepared through facile solvothermal self-assembly and subsequent thermal reduction.The influences of calcination temperature and the content ofγ-GY of the composite on EMW absorption performance are fully investigated.The minimum reflection loss(RL)value of the RGO/GY composite foam is−71.73 dB at 10.48 GHz with the matching thickness of 3.54 mm,and the effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)less than−10 dB is 7.36 GHz.Moreover,excellent terahertz(THz)absorption property is also obtained at 0.2–1.6 THz.The RL of 84.08 dB is acquired,and the EAB covers 100%of the entire measured bandwidth.In addition,the composite is also a promising anticorrosive EMW absorber.This work provides encouraging findings,which are also instructive for the potential advantages of graphyne-based materials as highly efficient EMW absorbers in both gigahertz and terahertz band ranges. | Zhiwei Zhang Zhuo Li Lun Xia Ruofeng Wang Yishu Cao Zheng Cheng Yi Huang | 2023 | Nano Research2023，16，1： | 2 |
