1Genotype × environmental interaction by AMMI and GGE biplot analysis for the provenances of Michelia chapensis in South China显示文摘A provenance trial of Michelia chapensis Dandy in the south of China was carried out in three sites to assess yield and stability analyses. The trials were conducted as randomized, complete block designs with four replications at each site. Additive main effects and multiplicative interaction(AMMI) and genotype main effect and genotype 9 environment interaction(GGE) were employed in the evaluation of provenances; AMMI analyses showed that significant genotype 9 environment interaction effects(P \ 0.05) existed between provenances, capturing 15.11 % of the total sum of squares. The AMMI stability value revealed that provenance 2 was stable, but had low yield. GGE-biplot models showed that provenances 7, 8, 10, and 11 were more stable and highyielding. 2Recent advances of wearable and flexible piezoresistivity pressure sensor devices and its future prospects显示文摘The human skin inspired soft electronic devices have attracted broadly research attention in the past decades as the promising potential applications in health monitoring and diagnosis,robotics,and prosthetics.The soft wearable piezoresistivity pressure sensor is one of the most attractive candidates for the development of advanced electronic skin for its simple mechanism,compact structure,low cost and power energy consumption and ease of signal acquisition and transforms advantages.In this review,we will explore the recent progress and achievements in the field of piezoresistivity pressure sensor,focusing on the fundamentals of the piezoresistivity pressure sensor and the materials related to the devices,including active materials,substrate materials,and electrode materials.Subsequently,the challenges and outlook are discussed.We list several current challenges perspectives on the development of pressure sensors.Several critical topics for the optimization of the sensitivity and working range of sensing devices toward practical applications are discussed.Finally,perspectives on the slip and force vectors sensors,the developing technologies for multi-function and high-resolution sensor systems and signals process technologies are examined to highlight the near future development tendency in piezoresistivity pressure sensor research field.Jiang He Yufei Zhang Runhui Zhou Lirong Meng Tao Chen Wenjie Mai Caofeng Pan 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,1:9
3Hot spots and future directions of research on the neuroprotective effects of nimodipine显示文摘Calcium antagonists are widely used in the clinical treatment of ischemic cerebrovascular disease because of their vascular and neuroprotective effects. Nimodipine, a typical calcium antagonist, can cross the blood-brain barrier and act selectively at neurons and blood vessels of target tissues, thus exerting neuroprotective effects. The aim of the present study was to explore the hot spots and future trends of research on the neuroprotective effects of nimodipine. We retrieved 425 articles on the neuroprotective effects of nimodipine that were indexed in the Web of the Science database between 2000 and 2014. The retrieved articles were analyzed using document analysis reporting and the derived information function in the Web of Science, and the information visualization software Cite Space III. The reference co-citation network was plotted, and the high frequency key words in these publications were used to analyze the research fronts and development trends for nimodipine neuroprotection. According to these co-citation clusters, the research front of nimodipine neuroprotection is the use of randomized controlled trials to study nimodipine intervention of subarachnoid hemorrhage. 4Effective and biocompatible antibacterial surfaces via facile synthesis and surface modification of peptide polymers显示文摘It is an urgent need to tackle drug-resistance microbial infections that are associated with implantable biomedical devices.Host defense peptide-mimicking polymers have been actively explored in recent years to fight against drug-resistant microbes.Our recent report on lithium hexamethyldisilazide-initiated superfast polymerization on amino acid N-carboxyanhydrides enables the quick synthesis of host defense peptide-mimicking peptide polymers.Here we reported a facile and cost-effective thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU)surface modification of peptide polymer(DLL:BLG=90:10)using plasma surface activation and substitution reaction between thiol and bromide groups.The peptide polymer-modified TPU surfaces exhibited board-spectrum antibacterial property as well as effective contact-killing ability in vitro.Furthermore,the peptide polymer-modified TPU surfaces showed excellent biocompatibility,displaying no hemolysis and cytotoxicity.In vivo study using methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)for subcutaneous implantation infectious model showed that peptide polymer-modified TPU surfaces revealed obvious suppression of infection and great histocompatibility,compared to bare TPU surfaces.We further explored the antimicrobial mechanism of the peptide polymer-modified TPU surfaces,which revealed a surface contact-killing mechanism by disrupting the bacterial membrane.These results demonstrated great potential of the peptide-modified TPU surfaces for practical application to combat bacterial infections that are associated with implantable materials and devices.Ziyi Lu Yueming Wu Zihao Cong Yuxin Qian Xue Wu Ning Shao Zhongqian Qiao Haodong Zhang Yunrui She Kang Chen Hengxue Xiang Bin Sun Qian Yu Yuan Yuan Haodong Lin Meifang Zhu Runhui Liu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,12:5
5PK-tailored tertiary prophylaxis in patients with severe hemophilia A at beijing Children’s Hospital显示文摘Importance:Tertiary prophylaxis using a low-dose regimen is usually insufficient to prevent recurrent joint bleeding and deterioration in joint diseases in children with severe hemophilia A.Pharmacokinetic(PK)dosing is a useful approach to increase the precision and efficiency of prophylaxis.Objective:To explore the efficacy of PK-tailored tertiary prophylaxis in children with severe hemophilia A.Methods:We implemented a PK-tailored tertiary prophylaxis program for 15 boys with severe hemophilia A aged 5-16 years at Beijing Children’s Hospital.Following PK testing and a 6-month evaluation period(phase I),15 patients were divided in two groups according to individual PK data and actual bleeding:(1)a PK-tailored group[modified prophylaxis regimen according to PK data for the next 6 months(phase II);n=8]and(2)a maintenance group(continued the original regimen for the next 6 months;n=7).We compared the bleeding rate,infusion frequency,and factor VIII(FVIII)consumption between the two groups.results:In the PK-tailored group,the median annual joint bleeding rate was reduced from 7.8 in phase I to 1.4 in phase II,mean annual total factor consumption increased from 1619.0 IU/kg in phase I to 2401.9 IU/kg in phase II,and median infusion frequency for prophylaxis increased from 104 times/year in phase I to 156 times/year in phase II(P<0.05).Although the FVIII consumption increased,it remained at approximately half of the standard method.Interpretation:PK-tailored prophylaxis may represent a more efficient approach to individual prophylaxis in China,but further studies are required to verify this.Peijing Li Zhenping Chen Xiaoling Cheng Yan Wang Ningning Zhang Yingzi Zhen Xinyi Wu Runhui Wu 2019Pediatric Investigation2019,3,1:3
6Impact of dissolved humic acid on the bioavailability of acenaphthene and chrysene assessed by membrane-based passive samplers显示文摘Dissolved organic carbon (DOC) is known to reduce the bioavailability of hydrophobic organic compounds (HOCs) in aqueous environments. This reduction occurs as a result of adsorption to DOC, apparently reducing the freely dissolved concentration of HOCs. In the present study, triolein-embedded cellulose acetate membrane (TECAM) and Japanese medaka (Oryzias latipes) were used to measure the uptake of acenaphthene and chrysene in the presence of commercial humic acid (HA) at different concentrations (0―15 mg C·L-1) under controlled laboratory conditions. Apparent uptake rate constants for PAHs in TECAM and medaka were compared and DOC-water partition coefficients (KDOCs) of two PAHs were calculated with different sampling methods by model fit. Results showed that HA present in water significantly reduced the uptake of PAHs in TECAM and medaka. The obtained values of log KDOC of acenaphthene and chrysene measured by TECAM were 4.63 and 5.83, respectively, whereas biologically determined values were 4.52 and 5.76, respectively. These log KDOC values were comparable to earlier published KDOCs toward commercial HA, thereby indicating that TECAM accumulated only the freely dissolved fraction of chemicals and uptake PAHs in a manner similar to that of fish. 7Stem cell transplantation for treating Parkinson's disease Literature analysis based on the Web of Science显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To identify global research trends of stem cell transplantation for treating Parkinson's disease using a bibliometric analysis of the Web of Science.DATA RETRIEVAL:We performed a bibliometric analysis of data retrievals for stem cell transplantation for treating Parkinson's disease from 2002 to 2011 using the Web of Science.SELECTION CRITERIA:Inclusion criteria:(a) peer-reviewed articles on stem cell transplantation for treating Parkinson's disease which were published and indexed in the Web of Science;(b) type of articles:original research articles,reviews,meeting abstracts,proceedings papers,book chapters,editorial material and news items;(c) year of publication:2002-2011.Exclusion criteria:(a) articles that required manual searching or telephone access;(b) we excluded documents that were not published in the public domain;(c) we excluded a number of corrected papers from the total number of articles.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:(1) Type of literature;(2) annual publication output;(3) distribution according to journals;(4) distribution according to subject areas;(5) distribution according to country;(6) distribution according to institution;(7) comparison of countries that published the most papers on stem cell transplantation from different cell sources for treating Parkinson's disease;(8) comparison of institutions that published the most papers on stem cell transplantation from different cell sources for treating Parkinson's disease in the Web of Science from 2002 to 2011;(9) comparison of studies on stem cell transplantation from different cell sources for treating Parkinson's disease RESULTS:In total,1 062 studies on stem cell transplantation for treating Parkinson's disease appeared in the Web of Science from 2002 to 2011,almost one third of which were from American authors and institutes.The number of studies on stem cell transplantation for treating Parkinson's disease had gradually increased over the past 10 years.Papers on stem cell transplantation for treating Parkinson's disease appeared in journals such as Stem Cells and Experimental Neurology.Although the United States published more articles addressing neural stem cell and embryonic stem cell transplantation for treating Parkinson's disease,China ranked first for articles published on bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell transplantation for treating Parkinson's disease.CONCLUSION:From our analysis of the literature and research trends,we found that stem cell transplantation for treating Parkinson's disease may offer further benefits in regenerative medicine.Runhui Li 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,16:3
8Effectiveness of intravenous r- tPA versus UK for acute ischaemic stroke: a nationwide prospective Chinese registry study显示文摘Background Intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator(r-tPA)and urokinase(UK)are both recommended for the treatment of acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)in China,but with few comparative outcome data being available.We aimed to compare the outcomes of these two thrombolytic agents for the treatment of patients within 4.5 hours of onset of AIS in routine clinical practice in China.Methods A pre-planned,prospective,nationwide,multicentre,real-world registry of consecutive patients with AIS(age≥18 years)who received r-tPA or UK within 4.5 hours of symptom onset according to local decision-making and guideline recommendations during 2017-2019.The primary effectiveness outcome was the proportion of patients with an excellent functional outcome(defined by modified Rankin scale scores 0 to 1)at 90 days.The key safety endpoint was symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage according to standard definitions.Multivariable logistic regression was used for comparative analysis,with adjustment according to propensity scores to ensure balance in baseline characteristics.Results Overall,4130 patients with AIS were registered but 320 had incomplete or missing data,leaving 3810 with available data for analysis of whom 2666 received r-tPA(median dose 0.88(IQR 0.78-0.90)mg/kg)and 1144 received UK(1.71(1.43-2.00)×104 international unit per kilogram).There were several significant intergroup differences in patient characteristics:r-tPA patients were more educated,had less history of stroke,lower systolic blood pressure,greater neurological impairment and shorter treatment times from symptom onset than UK patients.However,in adjusted analysis,the frequency of excellent outcome(OR 1.18,95%CI 1.00 to 1.40,p=0.052)and symptomatic intracranial haemorrhage(OR 0.70,95%CI 0.33 to 1.47,p=0.344)were similar between groups.Conclusions UK may be as effective and carry a similar safety profile as r-tPA in treating mild to moderate AIS within guidelines in China.Registration http://gffzzd5593dd32ed44506ho9ocvupwknpn6xpp.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn identifier:NCT02854592.Xinhong Wang Xiaoqiu Li Yuming Xu Runhui Li Qingcheng Yang Yong Zhao Fengyun Wang Baoying Sheng Runqing Wang Shaoyuan Chen Lihua Wang Liying Shen Xiaowen Hou Yu Cui Duolao Wang Bin Peng Craig S Anderson Huisheng Chen On behalf of INTRECIS Investigators 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,4:2
9DEM simulation of particle flow and separation in a vibrating flip-flow screen显示文摘Vibrating flip-flow screens(VFFS)with stretchable polyurethane sieve mats have been widely used in screening fine-grained materials in recent years.In this work,the discrete element method(DEM)is used to study the screening process in VFFS to explain particle flow and separation behavior at the particle scale.Unlike traditional vibrating screens,for VFFS,the amplitude response of each point on the elastic sieve mat is different everywhere.This study measures the kinematics of the elastic sieve mat under different conditions such as different stretched lengths and material loads.To establish the elastic sieve mat model in a DEM simulation,the continuous elastic sieve mat is discretized into multiple units,and the displacement signal of each unit tested is analyzed by Fourier series.The Fourier series analysis results of each unit are used as the setting parameters for motion.In this way,the movement of the elastic sieve mat is approximately simulated,and a DEM model of VFFS is produced.Through the simulation,the flow and separation of different-sized particles in VFFS are studied,and the reasonability of the simulation is verified by a pilot-scale screening experiment.The present study demonstrates the potential of the DEM method for the analysis of screening processes in VFFS.Chi Yu Dongdong Lin Ningning Xu Xinwen Wang Kunwei Pu Zhenghao Wang Guofeng Zhao Runhui Geng Sanpeng Gong 2023Particuology2023,,2:2

14Breaking or following the membrane-targeting mechanism:Exploring the antibacterial mechanism of host defense peptide mimicking poly(2-oxazoline)s显示文摘Peptides exert important biological functions but their application is hindered by their susceptibility to proteolysis and poor stability in vivo.Thus,functional peptide mimics have drawn a great deal of attention to address this challenge.Poly(2-oxazoline)s,a class of biocompatible and proteolysis-resistant polymer,can work as host defense peptide mimics without following the general membrane-targeting mechanism as shown in our previous work.This observation encouraged us to figure out if poly(2-oxazoline)s are special and break the general membrane-targeting mechanism of host defense peptides and their mimics.In this study,we aimed at the connection between structure and antibacterial mechanism of poly(2-oxazoline)s.A new γ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)-pendent poly(2-oxazoline)was synthesized and investigated to compare with glycine-pendent poly(2-oxazoline)in our previous study,with the former polymer has two extra CH2 groups in the sidechain to increase the hydrophobicity and amphiphilicity.Membrane depolarization assay suggested that incorporating two more CH2 groups into the sidechain of poly(2-oxazoline)resulted in a mechanism switch from DNA-targeting to membrane-targeting,which was supported by the slow time-kill kinetics and slightly distorted and sunken membrane morphology.Besides,GABA-pendent poly(2-oxazoline)showed potent activity against methicillin-resistant S.aureus and low hemolysis on human red blood cells.Moreover,repeated use of the antimicrobial poly(2-oxazoline)did not stimulate bacteria to obtain resistance,which was an obvious advantage of membrane-targeting antimicrobial agents.Chengzhi Dai Min Zhou Weinan Jiang Ximian Xiao Jingcheng Zou Yuxin Qian Zihao Cong Zhemin Ji Longqiang Liu Jiayang Xie Zhongqian Qiao Runhui Liu 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,59,24:1
