1HIV,HCV,and HBV Co-Infections in a Rural Area of Shanxi Province with a History of Commercial Blood Donation显示文摘Background:Unhygienic blood collection in the early 1990s led to blood‐borne infections in Central China.This study aimed to estimate human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) co‐infection with hepatitis C and B viruses (HCV and HBV) and their risk factors in a rural area of Shanxi Province with a history of commercial blood donation.Methods:A cross‐sectional study was conducted in 2004.All adult residents in the target area were invited to participate in the study.Face‐to‐face interviews were completed and blood specimens were tested for HIV,HCV,and HBV surface antigen (HBsAg).Results:Prevalence rates of HIV,HCV,and HBsAg were 1.3% (40/3 062),12.7% (389/3 062),and 3.5% (103/2982),respectively.Of the 40 HIV‐positive specimens,85% were HCV positive and 2.5% were HBsAg positive.The history of commercial blood donation was positively associated with HIV,HCV,and HIV/HCV co‐infections,but was negatively associated with HBsAg seropositivity.Migration for employment in the last 5 years was positively related to HIV,HBsAg,and HIV/HCV co‐infections.Univariate logistic analysis showed that illegal drug use,number of sex partners,extramarital sex behavior,commercial sex behavior,and condom use rate were not related to anti‐HIV,anti‐HCV,HBsAg seropositivity or their co‐infections.Conclusion:The history of commercial blood donation was the main risk factor for HIV,HCV,and HIV/HCV co‐infections in this former commercial blood donation area.HIV and HCV prevention and treatment interventions are important in this area.DONG RuiLing QIAO Xiao Chun JIA WangQian WONG Michelle QIAN HanZhu ZHENG XiWen XING WenGe LAI ShengHan WU ZhengLai JIANG Yan WANG Ning 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,3:1
2A novel FGFR1 inhibitor CYY292 suppresses tumor progression,invasion,and metastasis of glioblastoma by inhibiting the Akt/GSK3β/snail signaling axis显示文摘Glioblastoma(GBM)is a malignant brain tumor that grows quickly,spreads widely,and is resistant to treatment.Fibroblast growth factor receptor(FGFR)1 is a receptor tyrosine kinase that regulates cellular processes,including proliferation,survival,migration,and dif-ferentiation.FGFR1 was predominantly expressed in GBM tissues,and FGFR1 expression was negatively correlated with overall survival.We rationally designed a novel small molecule CYY292,which exhibited a strong affinity for the FGFR1 protein in GBM cell lines in vitro.CYY292 also exerted an effect on the conserved Ser777 residue of FGFR1.CYY292 dose-depen-dently inhibited cell proliferation,epithelial-mesenchymal transition,stemness,invasion,and migration in vitro by specifically targeting the FGFR1/AKT/Snail pathways in GBM cells,and this effect was prevented by pharmacological inhibitors and critical gene knockdown.In vivo experiments revealed that CYY292 inhibited U87MG tumor growth more effectively than AZD4547.CYY292 also efficiently reduced GBM cell proliferation and increased survival in orthotopic GBM models.This study further elucidates the function of FGFR1 in the GBM and reveals the effect of CYY292,which targets FGFR1,on downstream signaling pathways directly reducing GBM cell growth,invasion,and metastasis and thus impairing the recruitment,activation,and function of immune cells.Yanran Bi Ruiling Zheng Jiahao Hu Ruiqing Shi Junfeng Shi Yutao Wang Peng Wang Wenyi Jiang Gyudong Kim Zhiguo Liu Xiaokun Li Li Lin 2024Genes & Diseases2024,11,1:0
3Fabrication of CuO_x thin-film photocathodes by magnetron reactive sputtering for photoelectrochemical water reduction显示文摘The CuO_x thin film photocathodes were deposited on F-doped Sn O_2 (FTO)transparent conducting glasses by alternating current(AC)magnetron reactive sputtering under different Ar:O_2 ratios.The advantage of this deposited method is that it can deposit a CuO_x thin film uniformly and rapidly with large scale.From the photoelectrochemical(PEC)properties of these CuO_x photocathodes,it can be found that the CuO_x photocathode with Ar/O_2 30:7 provide a photocurrent density ofà3.2 m A cm^(à2)under a bias potentialà0.5 V(vs.Ag/Ag Cl),which was found to be twice higher than that of Ar/O_2 with 30:5.A detailed characterization on the structure,morphology and electrochemical properties of these CuO_x thin film photocathodes was carried out,and it is found that the improved PEC performance of CuO_x semiconductor photocathode with Ar/O_230:7 attributed to the less defects in it,indicating that this Ar/O_230:7 is an optimized condition for excellent CuO_x semiconductor photocathode fabrication.Tian Xie Tao Zheng Ruiling Wang Yuyu Bu Jin-Ping Ao 2018Green Energy & Environment2018,3,3:0
4Characteristic and effect analysis of protein and peptide in Cantonese cured meat processing显示文摘The aim of this work was to explore the physicochemical and structural properties,lipid oxidation and antioxidant capacity of the peptides extracted from Cantonese cured meat and as well as to investigate the effect of drying time on the sarcoplasmic and myofibrillar proteins of Cantonese cured meat.The results suggested that salting out,protein oxidation and heat treatment were closely related to surface hydrophobicity and the secondary structure of peptides was changed by processing.And the peroxide value and the value of tributyltin compounds were different in evaluating the degree of lipid oxidation.Glu and His were the major amino acid.The approximate molecular weights of the sarcoplasmic proteins and myofibrillar proteins ranged from 31 kDa to 50 kDa and 66 kDa,respectively.The results indicated that reducing the levels of protein oxidation and improvement of the antioxidant properties should be of great interest to preserve the nutritional quality of meat products and prolong preservation period.Zhi Qu Chunqian Feng Ruiling Li Nan Liu Shanqing Zheng 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,5:0
