| 3 | Effects of Friction Heat on the Tribological Properties of the Woven Self-lubricating Liner显示文摘In the dry-sliding process of the woven self-lubricating liner which is used in the self-lubricating spherical plain bearing, the friction heat plays an important role in the tribological performances of the liner. It has important value to study on the relationship between tribological performances of the liner and the friction heat. Unfortunately, up to now, published work on this relationship is quite scarce. Therefore, the effect of friction heat on the tribological performances of the liner was investigated in the present work. The tribological behaviors of the liner were evaluated by using the high temperature end surface wear tester. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was utilized to examine the morphologies of worn surfaces of the liner and study the failure modes. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurement and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis were performed to study the behaviors of the wear debris. The temperature rise on the worn surface was calculated according to classical models. SEM observation shows that the dominating wear mechanism for the liner is mainly affected by friction shear force, contact pressure and friction heat. Higher fusion heat for the wear debris than that for the pure polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE) indicates that the PTFE is the main portion of the wear debris, and, the PTFE in the wear debris shows a higher crystallisation degree owing to the effects of friction shear force and the friction heat. Combining the calculated temperature rise results with the wear rate of the liner, it can be concluded that the effects of temperature rise on the tribological performances of the liner become more obvious when the temperature rise exceeds the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the PTFE. The wear resistance of the liner deteriorates dramatically when the temperature rise approaches to the melting point (Ton) of the PTFE. The tribological performances of the liner can be improved when the temperature rise exceeds Tg but is far lower than Ton. | 6 | Temperature Variable Optimization for Precision Machine Tool Thermal Error Compensation on Optimal Threshold显示文摘Machine tool thermal error is an important reason for poor machining accuracy.Thermal error compensation is a primary technology in accuracy control.To build thermal error model,temperature variables are needed to be divided into several groups on an appropriate threshold.Currently,group threshold value is mainly determined by researchers experience.Few studies focus on group threshold in temperature variable grouping.Since the threshold is important in error compensation,this paper arms to find out an optimal threshold to realize temperature variable optimization in thermal error modeling.Firstly,correlation coefficient is used to express membership grade of temperature variables,and the theory of fuzzy transitive closure is applied to obtain relational matrix of temperature variables.Concepts as compact degree and separable degree are introduced.Then evaluation model of temperature variable clustering is built.The optimal threshold and the best temperature variable clustering can be obtained by setting the maximum value of evaluation model as the objective.Finally,correlation coefficients between temperature variables and thermal error are calculated in order to find out optimum temperature variables for thermal error modeling.An experiment is conducted on a precise horizontal machining center.In experiment,three displacement sensors are used to measure spindle thermal error and twenty-nine temperature sensors are utilized to detect the machining center temperature.Experimental result shows that the new method of temperature variable optimization on optimal threshold successfully worked out a best threshold value interval and chose seven temperature variables from twenty-nine temperature measuring points.The model residual of z direction is within 3 m.Obviously,the proposed new variable optimization method has simple computing process and good modeling accuracy,which is quite fit for thermal error compensation. | ZHANG Ting YE Wenhua LIANG Ruijun LOU Peihuang YANG Xiaolan | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2013,26,1: | 11 |
| 7 | Application of Active Flow Control Technique for Gust Load Alleviation显示文摘A new gust load alleviation technique is presented in this paper based on active flow control. Numerical studies are conducted to investigate the beneficial effects on the aerodynamic characteristics of the quasi 'Global Hawk' airfoil using arrays of jets during the gust process. Based on unsteady Navier-Stokes equations, the grid-velocity method is introduced to simulate the gust influence, and dynamic response in vertical gust flow perturbation is investigated for the airfoil as well. An unsteady surface transpiration boundary condition is enforced over a user specified portion of the airfoil’s surface to emulate the time dependent velocity boundary conditions. Firstly, after applying this method to simulate typical NACA0006 airfoil gust response to a step change in the angle of attack, it shows that the indicial responses of the airfoil make good agreement with the exact theoretical values and the calculated values in references. Furthermore, gust response characteristic for the quasi 'Global Hawk' airfoil is analyzed. Five kinds of flow control techniques are introduced as steady blowing, steady suction, unsteady blowing, unsteady suction and synthetic jets. The physical analysis of the influence on the effects of gust load alleviation is proposed to provide some guidelines for practice. | 15 | Carbon,nitrogen and phosphorus stoichiometry in Pinus tabulaeformis forest ecosystems in warm temperate Shanxi Province,north China显示文摘Although carbon(C), nitrogen(N), and phosphorous(P) stoichiometric ratios are considered good indicators of nutrient excess/limitation and thus of ecosystem health, few reports have discussed the trends and the reciprocal effects of C:N:P stoichiometry in plant–litter–soil systems. The present study analyzed C:N:P ratios in four age groups of Chinese pine, Pinus tabulaeformis Carr., forests in Shanxi Province, China: plantation young forests(AY,<20 year-old); plantation middle-aged forests(AM, 21–30 year-old); natural young forests(NY,<30 year-old); and natural middle-aged forests(NM,31–50 year-old). The average C:N:P ratios calculated for tree, shrub, and herbaceous leaves, litter, and soil(0–100 cm) were generally higher in NY followed by NM,AM, and AY. C:N and C:P ratios were higher in litter than in leaves and soils, and reached higher values in the litter and leaves of young forests than in middle-aged forests;however, C:N and C:P ratios were higher in soils of middle-aged forests than in young forests. N:P ratios were higher in leaves than in litter and soils regardless of stand age; the consistent N:P<14 values found in all forests indicated N limitations. With plant leaves, C:P ratios were highest in trees, followed by herbs and shrubs, indicating a higher efficiency in tree leaf formation. C:N ratios decreased with increasing soil depth, whereas there was no trend for C:P and N:P ratios. C:N:P stoichiometry of forest foliage did not exhibit a consistent variation according to stand age. | 17 | Timing Advanced Estimation Algorithm of Low Complexity Based on DFT Spectrum Analysis for Satellite System显示文摘In satellite mobile communication system, relative movement of the satellite and the terminal will cause a large Doppler offset. Timing advanced estimation with Zadoff-Chu sequence is sensitive to the frequency offset. When the frequency offset is larger than one times subcarrier spacing, the value of peak cannot be detected at the receiving end. To suppress the larger Doppler frequency shift, this paper proposes a novel timing advanced estimation scheme(TAE-MCD) for satellite communication system. In this algorithm, t r a n s m i t t e d s i g n a l i s d i v i d e d i n t o Z C sequence and its conjugate sequence. Using multiplication and DFT operation to find the estimated peak at the receiving end, and make subtraction with the obtained sequences at last. The scheme can not only inhibit the adverse effects of large Doppler frequency shift in timing estimation effectively, but also reduce the computational complexity at the receiving end and improve the work efficiency of the hardware. | 18 | Effect of Anodization Parameters on Morphology and Photocatalysis Properties of TiO_2 Nanotube Arrays显示文摘Highly ordered TiO2 nanotube arrays were fabricated via electrochemical anodization of high purity Ti foil in fluoride-containing electrolyte. The effects of applied anodization potential, anodization time on the formation of TiO2 nanotube arrays and the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue(MB) were discussed. The TiO2 nanotube arrays calcined at 500 °C for 2 h show pure anatase phase. The pore diameters of TiO 2 nanotube arrays can be adjusted from 30 to 90 nm using a different anodization voltage.Anodization time mainly influenced TiO 2 tube length, and by increasing the anodization time, the nanotube length became longer gradually. When the anodization potential was 40 V, the average growth rate of TiO 2 nanotube was about 4.17 μm/h. Both anodization potential and time had important effects on the photocatalytic efficiency. | 19 | Widely tunable 2.3μm III-V-on-silicon Vernier lasers for broadband spectroscopic sensing显示文摘Heterogeneously integrating III-V materials on silicon photonic integrated circuits has emerged as a promising approach to make advanced laser sources for optical communication and sensing applications. Tunable semiconductor lasers operating in the 2–2.5 μm range are of great interest for industrial and medical applications since many gases(e.g., CO_2, CO, CH_4) and biomolecules(such as blood glucose) have strong absorption features in this wavelength region. The development of integrated tunable laser sources in this wavelength range enables low-cost and miniature spectroscopic sensors. Here we report heterogeneously integrated widely tunable III-V-on-silicon Vernier lasers using two silicon microring resonators as the wavelength tuning components. The laser has a wavelength tuning range of more than 40 nm near 2.35 μm. By combining two lasers with different distributed Bragg reflectors, a tuning range of more than 70 nm is achieved. Over the whole tuning range, the side-mode suppression ratio is higher than 35 dB. As a proof-of-principle, this III-V-on-silicon Vernier laser is used to measure the absorption lines of CO. | 20 | CaMKIIα-driven,phosphatase-checked postsynaptic plasticity via phase separation显示文摘Ca^(2+)/calmodulin-dependent kinase Ila(CaMKIla)is essential for synaptic plasticity and learning by decoding synaptic Ca^(2+)oscillations.Despite decades of extensive research,new mechanisms underlying CaMKIIa's function in synapses are still being discovered.Here,we discover that Shank3 is a specific binding partner for autoinhibited CaMKIla.We demonstrate that Shank3 and GluN2B,via combined actions of Ca^(2+)and phosphatases,reciprocally bind to CaMKIla.Under basal condition,CaMKIla is recruited to the Shank3 subcompartment of postsynaptic density(PSD)via phase separation.Rise of Ca^(2+)concentration induces GluN2Bmediated recruitment of active CaMKIla and formation of the CaMKIIa/GluN2B/PSD-95 condensates,which are autonomously dispersed upon Ca^(2+)removal.Protein phosphatases control the Ca^(2+)-dependent shuttling of CaMKIla between the two PSD subcompartme nts and PSD condensate formation.Activation of CaMKIla further enlarges the PSD assembly and in duces structural LTP.Thus,Ca^(2+)-induced and phosphatase-checked shuttling of CaMKIla between distinct PSD nano-domains can regulate phase separation-mediated PSD assembly and synaptic plasticity. | Qixu Caic Menglong Zeng Xiandeng Wu Haowei Wu Yumeng Zhan Ruijun Tian Mingjie Zhang | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,1: | 3 |
