1Evaluation of photosynthesis, physiological, and biochemical responses of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L. cv. Pirouz) under water deficit stress and use of vermicompost fertilizer显示文摘One goal in the face of drought stress conditions is to increase growth and yield through the reduction of negative effects of stress. Vermicompost can play an effective role in plant growth and development and in reducing harmful effects of various environmental stresses on plants due to its porous structure, high water storage capacity, having hormone-like substances, plant growth regulators, and high levels of macro and micro nutrients. This study considered the physiological, biochemical, and photosynthetic responses of the chickpea to different combinations of vermicompost and water stress in a greenhouse environment. Two factors were involved, addition of vermicompost to soil at four ratios: control(100 wt%(weight percentage) soil); 10 wt% vermicompost+90% soil; 20 wt% vermicompost+80 wt% soil; 30 wt% vermicompost+70 wt% soil weight percentage, and treatment of water stress at three levels including 75, 50, and 25% of field capacity. The results showed that vermicompost had a significant effect on all traits under stress and non-stress conditions. Application of vermicompost in soil, especially at the levels of 20 and 30 wt% significantly increased all studied traits under non-stress conditions. Under moderate stress conditions, vermicompost at 30 wt% treatment resulted in a significant increase in the photosynthetic pigments, CO_2 assimilation rate, internal leaf CO_2 concentration, transpiration, the maximal quantum yield of photosystem II(PSII) photochemistry(F_v/F_m), concentrations of Ca and K in root and leaf tissues, proline and soluble protein contents in root tissues. Peroxidase(POX) and catalase(CAT) enzyme activities decreased significantly with increasing proportions of vermicompost, but the activity of superoxide dismutase was not significantly different. 2Accumulation of heavy metal in Platanus orientalis, Robinia pseudoacacia and Fraxinus rotundifolia显示文摘Plants are capable of reducing environmental pollutions through uptaking contaminants in their tissues. In the study site, twenty one-year-old leaves and shoots as well as twenty soil samples were sampled and analyzed by Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP). We investigated the uptaking ability of lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) by the leaves and shoots of Platanus orientalis, Robinia pseudoacacia and Fraxinus rotundifolia in Karaj city, the western Tehran, Iran. We also evaluated the total metal accumulation capacity by using metal accumulation index (MAI). Results indicated that there was no significant difference in uptaking contents of Cd and Pb in the leaves among the trees. However accumulation of Cd in shoots of F. rotundifolia and R. pseudoacacia was significantly higher than that of P. orientalis. The accumulation of Pb in shoots of R. pseudoacacia was significantly higher than the other species. The amount of Pb in the soil of the study area was significantly higher than Cd. Concentrations of Cd and Pb in leaves of the three species are in the ranges of 2.4 2.7 mg Kg-1 and 7.1 14.4 mg Kg-1 , respectively. 3Preparation of transparent nanostructured N-doped TiO_2 thin films by combination of sonochemical and CVD methods with visible light photocatalytic activity显示文摘Pollution of water resources with pesticide compounds has raised serious environmental problems,and for photocatalytic degradation of these pollutants,thin film photocatalysts are preferred to colloidal ones due to the separation problem of colloidal nanoparticles.In this work,nanostructured TiO_2 and N-doped TiO_2 thin films with high transparency were deposited on glass and quartz substrates through sonochemical–chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method.The films prepared on glass and quartz substrates had nanocubic and nanospherical morphology,respectively.The presence of N atoms in the structure of TiO_2 resulted in a decrease in the band gap energy of TiO_2 and also in the reduction of photogenerated electron–hole recombination rate.Furthermore,the presence of N atoms induced the formation of Ti^(3+)species which can act as hole trapping centers.The prepared thin films were also used for the visible light photocatalytic degradation of paraoxon pesticide.According to these results among the prepared thin films,the N-doped TiO_2 thin films have higher photocatalytic activity than pure TiO_2 thin films.Moreover,in comparison with the thin films deposited on quartz substrate,the films on glass substrate have higher photocatalytic performance,which can be related to the special nanocubic morphology of these samples.Hossein RASOULNEZHAD Ghader HOSSEINZADEH Reza HOSSEINZADEH Naser GHASEMIAN 2018Journal of Advanced Ceramics2018,7,3:4
4Cu(II)salen配合物催化三组分偶联反应合成炔丙胺(英文)显示文摘A one pot three‐component coupling reaction of phenylacetylene, aldehyde, and amine derivatives in the presence of Cu(II) Salen complex as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst under solvent‐free conditions is reported. The catalyst displayed high activity and afforded the corresponding propargylamines in good to excellent yields. This method provides a wide range of substrate applicability. 5A review of major non-sulfide zinc deposits in Iran显示文摘The numerous non-sulfide zinc ore deposits were the historical basis for the development of zinc mining in Iran.They include the Mehdiabad,Irankouh and Angouran world-class deposits,as well as the Zarigan and Haft-har deposits.These deposits were formed by supergene oxidation of primary sulfide minerals during the complex interplay of tectonic uplift,karst development,changes in the level of the water table,and weathering.Zn(Pb)carbonates,Zn-hydrosilicates and associated hydrated phases directly replace the primary ore bodies or fill cavities along fractures related to uplift tectonics.Direct replacement of primary sulfides is accompanied by distal precipitation of zinc non-sulfide minerals in cavities or internal sediments filling.The mineralogy of the non-sulfide mineralization in all six deposits is generally complex and consists of smithsonite,hydrozincite,and hemimorphite as the main economic minerals,accompanied by iron and manganese oxy-hydroxides and residual clays.Commonly,non-sulfide minerals in these deposits consist of two types of ore:red zinc ore(RZO),rich in Zn,Fe,Pb-(As)and white zinc ore(WZO),typically with very high zinc grades but low concentrations of iron and lead.Typical minerals of the RZO are Fe-oxyhydroxides,goethite,hematite,hemimorphite,smithsonite and/or hydrozincite and cerussite.Common minerals of the WZO are smithsonite or hydrozincite and only minor amounts of Fe-oxyhydroxides and hemimorphite.Sajjad Maghfouri Mohammad Reza Hosseinzadeh Abdorrahman Rajabi Flavien Choulet 2018Geoscience Frontiers2018,9,1:2

8A Randomized Trial to Assess the Long-term Safety of NeuroAiD among Caucasian Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke显示文摘Objective:To assess the long-term(up to 6 months)safety profile of a 3-month regimen of NeuroAiD for acute ischemic stroke.Methods:A total of 190 patients with acute ischemic stroke were identified for eligibility in a randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled clinical trial,of which 150 patients allocated to either receiving NeuroAiD(80 cases)or placebo(70 cases)were analyzed after dropouts due to absence of baseline data,early death,or noncompliance.Both groups received treatment for three months and followed up for another three months after the completion of the treatment.Occurrence of clinical adverse events and laboratory parameters were assessed at 1 month,3 months(while under treatment)and 6 months(3 months after the completion of treatment).Statistical comparisons between groups were performed using chi-square test or t-test whenever appropriate.Results:The two groups had comparable baseline characteristics.Mild nausea was more commonly reported in patients taking NeuroAid compared with placebo(P=0.01),of which 9 out of10 were observed only during the first month of treatment.However,none of the adverse events reported were considered severe or required discontinuation of the study drug.There was no significant change observed in mean arterial blood pressure,haemoglobin,renal and liver laboratory parameters during treatment with NeuroAid and up to 3 months after completion of a 3-month regimen.Conclusion:NeuroAiD is safe and does not affect hematologic,hepatic,and renal functions during and long after completion of treatment.Reza Bavarsad shahripour Ahmad Hemati Ana Hosseinzadeh maleki 2014Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2014,20,11:1
9Analysis of channel bank erosion rate using exposed roots of trees: a case study of lavij stream, northern Alborz Mountains, Iran显示文摘Powerful alluvial rivers in the northern Alborz mountain ranges erode river banks due to having high slopes.Most of these rivers flow in forest areas.In this research,the rate of the river bank erosion was examined using the exposed roots of the trees.For this purpose,8 reaches of Lavij Stream were investigated.To determine the first year of root exposure,two sets of macroscopic and microscopic indicators were utilized.Accordingly,the rate of the stream bank erosion was estimated.The results were analyzed by using statistical test,which showed insignificant differences between the two groups of indicators.Due to its more abundance(frequency)on the margins and easy detection of its root through the exposure(macroscopic and microscopic)indicators,Alnus glutinosa(black alder)species could be more easily and accurately analyzed as compared with any other tree species in the region.The mean erosion rate of the riverbank using the extruded roots was estimated to be 0.08 m/yr.The hydrological analyses of flood flows showed that 95%of Lavij Stream bank erosion was caused by the river bank full discharges with a return period of 1-3 years.Mohammad Mehdi HOSSEINZADEH Saeedeh MATSH BEYRANVAND Reza ESMAILI 2020Journal of Mountain Science2020,17,5:0

11The Herpetofauna of Iran: Checklist of Taxonomy, Distribution and Conservation Status显示文摘We present an annotated checklist for a total 241 reptiles and 22 amphibians including 5 frogs, 9 toads, 7 newts and salamanders, 1 crocodile, 1 worm lizard, 148 lizards, 79 snakes and 12 turtles and tortoises, includes the most scientific literature up to August 2014 and also based on several field surveys conducted in different Provinces of Iran from 2009 to 2014. We present an up-to-dated checklist of reptiles and amphibians in Iran. We provide a comprehensive listing of taxonomy, names, distribution and conservation status of all amphibians and reptiles of Iran. This checklist includes all recognized named taxa, English names for classes, orders, families, species, subspecies along with Persian names for species, including indication of native and introduced species. For the first time we report two non-native introduced reptiles from natural habitats of Iran. Of the total 22 species of amphibians in Iran, 6(27.2%) are endemic and of the total 241 species of reptiles, 55(22.8%) are endemic. Of the 22 amphibians species in Iran, 3(13%) are Critically Endangered, 2(9%) are Vulnerable and of the 241 reptile species 3(1.2%) are Critically Endangered, 4(1.6%) are Endangered and 10(4.1%) are Vulnerable. 12Optimization of synchronized frequency and voltage control for a distributed generation system using the Black Widow Optimization algorithm显示文摘A distributed generation network could be a hybrid power system that includes wind-diesel power generation based on induction generators(IGs)and synchronous generators(SGs).The main advantage of these systems is the possibility of using renewable energy in their structures.The most important challenge is to design the voltage-control loop with the frequency-control loop to obtain optimal responses for voltage and frequency deviations.In this work,the voltage-control loop is designed by an automatic voltage regulator.A linear model of the hybrid system has also been developed with coordinated voltage and frequency control.Dynamic frequency response and voltage deviations are compared for different load disturbances and different reactive loads.The gains of the SG and the static volt-ampere reactive compensator(SVC)controllers in the IG terminal are calculated using the Black Widow Optimization(BWO)algorithm to insure low frequency and voltage deviations.The BWO optimization algorithm is one of the newest and most powerful optimization methods to have been introduced so far.The results showed that the BWO algorithm has a good speed in solving the proposed objective function.A 22%improvement in time adjustment was observed in the use of an optimal SVC.Also,an 18%improvement was observed in the transitory values.Baran Sadeghi Nima Shafaghatian Reza Alayi Mamdouh El Haj Assad Farhad Zishan Hasan Hosseinzadeh 2022Clean Energy2022,6,1:0
