| 2 | The Muruntau gold deposit(Uzbekistan)--A unique ancient hydrothermal system in the southern Tien Shan显示文摘The Muruntau gold deposit in the Central Kyzylkum,Uzbekistan is one of the largest single gold deposits worldwide.Data available from the literature are reviewed with the aim to(1) integrate the present knowledge on this unique deposit from Russian and English literature;(2) show the considerable progress made in the understanding of the genesis of the Muruntau deposit during the last decades;and(3) point to problems still open for future research.Deposit formation occurred through a multi-stage process involving sedimentation,regional metamorphism including thrusting,magmatism with formation of hornfels aureoles and several stages of hydrothermal activity.According to recent knowledge,synsedimentary or pure metamorphic formation of gold mineralization seems unlikely.The role of granite magmatism occurring roughly within the same time interval as the main hydrothermal gold precipitation remains uncertain.There are no signs of interaction of matter between the magma(s) and the hydrothermal system(s).On the other hand,there was an intense,high-temperature(above 400 ℃)fluid- wall rock interaction resulting in the formation of gold-bearing,cone-like stockworks with veins,veinlets and gold-bearing metasomatites.Several chemical and isotope indicators hint at an involvement of lower-crustal or mantle-related sources as well as of surface waters in ore formation.Deposit formation through brecciation involving explosion,hydrothermal or tectonic breccias might explain these data.Further investigations on breccia formation as well as on the exact timing of relevant sedimentary,metamorphic,magmatic and hydrothermal events are recommended. | Ulf Kempe Torsten Graupner Reimar Seltmann Hugo de Boorder Alla Dolgopolova Maarten Zeylmans van Emmichoven | 2016 | Geoscience Frontiers2016，7，3： | 7 |

| 17 | Listen to the sound of moving sediment in a small gravel-bed river显示文摘In order to assess the dynamics of rivers,a reliable characterization of bedload transport particularly during unsteady flow regimes is required.In contrast to highly energetic cases in hillslope areas,we aim to answer the question whether the usage of acoustic measurements can improve the characterization of bedioad in small rivers draining low land mountains with comparatively low water discharge and bedioad.In addition to the investigation of natural flood events,controlled floods were generated by releasing water from a reservoir into a small gravel-bed stream.The controlled releases allow for an evaluation of bedioad solely from channel storage or bank erosion.For acoustical in-situ characterization of bedioad transport,hydrophones were mounted onto the bottom side of steel plates,thus recording the impacts of sediments via the acoustic vibrations on the surface of the plates while at the same time minimizing the disturbing noise resulting from water turbulence.Corresponding bedioad traps are removable boxes with open lids fixed in the riverbed so that bedioad material registered by the hydrophone is trapped.The acoustic signals correlate well with the quantity of the transported material.During summer flood events the highest transport rates occur at the beginning of the rising limb featuring clockwise hysteresis.This is due to the rising transport energy of the flow and the presence of loose,unconsolidated material.During typical winter flood events bedioad shows anticlockwise loops.The intensification of bedioad conveyance after the runoff peak can be explained by a decreasing stability of the bed material from the beginning to the end of a transport event.Anticlockwise behavior also results from a combination of bedioad exhaustion in the vicinity of the monitoring station with a delayed arrival of new material from distal sources later in the hydrograph. | Andreas Krein Reimar Schenkluhn Andreas Kurtenbach Reinhard Bierl Julien Barriere | 2016 | International Journal of Sediment Research2016，31，3： | 1 |
