| 1 | Phytochemical screening and free radical scavenging activity of Citrullus colocynthis seeds extracts显示文摘Objective:To study the phytochemical screening of different extracts from Citrullus colocynthis(C.colocynthis)seeds extracts and to assess their antioxidant activity on the DPPH free radical scavenging.Methods:Phytochemical screening,total content of polyphenols and flavonoids of C.colocynthis seeds extracts,including a crude aqueous extract(E1),a defatted aqueous extract(E2),a hydromethanolic extract(HM),an ethyl acetate extract(EA)and a n-butanol extract(n-B)was carried out according to the standard methods and to assess their corresponding effect on the antioxidant activity of this plant.Results:None of these extracts contained detectable amount of alkaloid,quinone,antraquinone,or reducing sugar.Catechic tannins and flavonoids were abundant in E1,MM and EA,whilst terpenoids were abundantly present in E1 and n-B but only weekly in HM.Coumarins were found in E2,EA and n-B.Polyphenols,expressed as gallic acid equivalent,amounted,per 100 g plant matter,to 329,1002 and 150 mg in EA,HM an E1 respectively.Flavonoids,expressed as catechin equivalent,amounted.per 100 g plant matter to 620,241 and 94 mg in EA,HM and E1 respectively.Comparable values were found in n-B and E1,with lower values in E2.Quercetin,myricetin and gallic acid were found in the EA and HM extracts by thin layer chromatography,The antioxidative effect of these extracts yielded,when tested at a concentration of 2000μg/mL in a 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl assay,a reducing percentage of 88.8%with EA,74.5%with HM and 66.2%with E1,and corresponding IC_(50)of 350,580and 500μg/mL as compared to 1.1μg/mL for ascorbic acid.Conclusions:These qualitative and quantitative analytical data document the presence in C.colocynthis extracts of such chemical compounds as flavonoids responsible for the antioxidant activity,as well as other biological activities of this plant. | Nabila Benariba Rabeh Djaziri Wafaa Bellakhdar Nacera Belkacem Marcel Kadiata Willy J.Malaisse Abdullah Sener | 2013 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013,3,1: | 3 |

| 13 | Using 3-D magnetic modeling to evaluate subsurface structures of the Siwa Oasis,Western Desert,Egypt显示文摘This work was designed to study the subsurface structures in the Siwa Oasis area of the Western Desert in Egypt and to determine their effects on surface geologic structures. A detailed land magnetic survey was performed in traverses covering about 400 km2 of the study area. The measured total magnetic field was corrected and reduced to the north magnetic pole. The reduction-to-pole aeromagnetic and Bouguer anomaly maps were used to obtain regional extensions of these subsurface structures, study the continuation of these structures in sedimentary rocks, and delineate the depths to the basement rocks. Data analysis was performed using trend analysis, Euler deconvolution, Werner deconvolution, the Hilbert transform of the analytical signal, and 3-dimensional magnetic modeling methods. The results indicate that the area is affected by tectonic forces in the E-W, N45°-65°E, and N35°-45°W trends, which are correlated with the directions of surface geologic lineaments. The depth to the basement rocks increases from 3.2 km in the southern part to about 3.6 km in the northern part of the area. | 19 | Structural Morphological and Optical Properties of SnSb_2S_4 Thin Films Grown by Vacuum Evaporation Method显示文摘SnSb_2S_4 thin films were prepared from powder by thermal evaporation under vacuum of 1.33 x 10^(-4) Pa(10^(-6) Torr)on unheated glass substrates.The effect of thickness on the structural,morphological and optical properties of SnSb_2S_4 thin films was investigated.Films thickness measured by interference fringes method varied from 50 to 700 nm.X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that all the SnSb_2S_4 films were polycrystalline in spite without heating the substrates and the crystallinity was improved with increasing film thickness.The microstructure parameters:crystallite size,strain and dislocation density were calculated.It was observed that the crystallite size increased and the crystal defects decreased with increasing film thickness.In addition,by increasing the film thickness,an enhancement in the surface roughness root-mean-square(RMS) increased from 2.0 to6.6 nm.The fundamental optical parameters like band gap,absorption and extinction coefficient were calculated in the strong absorption region of transmittance and reflectance spectrum.The optical absorption measurements indicated that the band(E_g) gap of the thin films decreased from 2.10 to 1.65 eV with increasing film thickness.The refractive indexes were evaluated in transparent region in terms of envelope method,which was suggested by Swanepoul.It was observed that the refractive index increased with increasing film thickness. | N.Khedmi M.Ben Rabeh M.Kanzari | 2014 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,10: | 0 |
| 20 | Performance Enhancement of Adaptive Neural Networks Based on Learning Rate显示文摘Deep learning is the process of determining parameters that reduce the cost function derived from the dataset.The optimization in neural networks at the time is known as the optimal parameters.To solve optimization,it initialize the parameters during the optimization process.There should be no variation in the cost function parameters at the global minimum.The momentum technique is a parameters optimization approach;however,it has difficulties stopping the parameter when the cost function value fulfills the global minimum(non-stop problem).Moreover,existing approaches use techniques;the learning rate is reduced during the iteration period.These techniques are monotonically reducing at a steady rate over time;our goal is to make the learning rate parameters.We present a method for determining the best parameters that adjust the learning rate in response to the cost function value.As a result,after the cost function has been optimized,the process of the rate Schedule is complete.This approach is shown to ensure convergence to the optimal parameters.This indicates that our strategy minimizes the cost function(or effective learning).The momentum approach is used in the proposed method.To solve the Momentum approach non-stop problem,we use the cost function of the parameter in our proposed method.As a result,this learning technique reduces the quantity of the parameter due to the impact of the cost function parameter.To verify that the learning works to test the strategy,we employed proof of convergence and empirical tests using current methods and the results are obtained using Python. | Swaleha Zubair Anjani Kumar Singha Nitish Pathak Neelam Sharma Shabana Urooj Samia Rabeh Larguech | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,1: | 0 |
