| 1 | Effects of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and inflammation显示文摘Glucagon-like peptide1(GLP-1)is secreted from Langerhans cells in response to oral nutrient intake.Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists(GLP-1RAs)are a new class of incretin-based anti-diabetic drugs.They function to stimulate insulin secretion while suppressing glucagon secretion.GLP-1-based therapies are now well established in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM),and recent literature has suggested potential applications of these drugs in the treatment of obesity and for protection against cardiovascular and neurological diseases.As we know,along with change in lifestyles,the prevalence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)in China is rising more than that of viral hepatitis and alcoholic fatty liver disease,and NAFLD has become the most common chronic liver disease in recent years.Recent studies further suggest that GLP-1RAs can reduce transaminase levels to improve NAFLD by improving blood lipid levels,cutting down the fatcontent to promote fat redistribution,directly decreasing fatty degeneration of the liver,reducing the degree of liver fibrosis and improving inflammation.This review shows the NAFLD-associated effects of GLP-1RAs in animal models and in patients with T2DM or obesity who are participants in clinical trials. | Xing-Chun Wang Aaron M Gusdon Huan Liu Shen Qu | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，40： | 23 |
| 2 | Susceptibility variations of multiple origins of loess from the Ily Basin(NW China)显示文摘The magnetic susceptibility of loess from the Ily Basin,northwestern China shows maximum values in S0 paleosols but minimum values in other paleosols,the mechanism of which has been well debated.In this work,systematic magnetic measurements were made on a representative section from Neleke county.The results show that the loess horizons(L1,L2 and L3) have multi-domain magnetite grains of aeolian origin,S0 is characterized by production of pedogenetic ultrafine-grained ferrimagnetic minerals,and the other paleosols(S1,S2,and S3) are characterized by the formation of nonferrimagnetic minerals associated with waterlogging.The correlation between the low concentration of ferrimagnets,high paramagnetic content,high magnetic coercivity remanence,fine ferrimagnetic grain size and intensified pedogenesis suggest two competing processes of pedogenetic enhancement and pedogenetic depletion in the lower paleosols.Pedogenetic depletion dominates and is responsible for the low susceptibility.Changes in magnetic grain size distribution occur during pedogenetic depletion.The susceptibility variations are of multiple origins in the loess of the Ily Basin.Pedogenetic enhancement,pedogenetic depletion,and allochthonous input of magnetic minerals should all be taken into account to explain the variations of magnetic parameters. | CHEN Qu LIU XiuMing HELLER F HIRT Ann M LU Bin GUO XueLian MAO XueGang ZHAO GuoYong FENG Hua GUO Hui | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012，57，15： | 9 |

| 4 | The potential drivers in forming avian biodiversity hotspots in the East Himalaya Mountains of Southwest China显示文摘Little has been published to describe or interpret Asian biodiversity hotspots,including those in the East Himalayan Mountains of Southwest China(HMSC),thus making necessary a review of the current knowledge.The Pliocene and Pleistocene geological and glacial histories of the Asian continent differ from those of Europe and North America,suggesting different mechanisms of speciation and extinction,and,thus,different responses to climate changes during the Quaternary glaciations.This short review summarizes potential drivers in shaping and maintaining high species richness and endemism of birds in the HMSC.The geographical location at the junction of different biogeographical realms,the wide range of habitats and climates along the extensive elevational range,the complex topography and the distinct geological history of this region have probably contributed to the evolution of an exceptionally species-rich and endemic-rich,specialized montane avian fauna.The Mountain systems in the HMSC may have provided refugia where species survived during the glacial periods and barriers for preventing species dispersal after the glacial periods.More studies are required to further test this refugia hypothesis by comparing more cold-tolerent and warm-tolerent species. | Fumin LEI Yanhua QU Gang SONG Per ALSTRÖM Jon FJELDSÅ | 2015 | Integrative Zoology2015，10，2： | 3 |
| 5 | Cross-talk between the thyroid and liver:A new target for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease treatment显示文摘Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)has been recognized as the most common liver metabolic disease,and it is also a burgeoning health problem that affects one-third of adults and is associated with obesity and insulin resistance now.Thyroid hormone(TH)and its receptors play a fundamental role in lipid metabolism and lipid accumulation in the liver.It is found that thyroid receptor and its isoforms exhibit tissue-specific expression with a variety of functions.TRβ1 is predominantly expressed in the brain and adipose tissue and TRβ2 is the major isoform in the liver,kidney and fat.They have different functions and play important roles in lipid metabolism.Recently,there are many studies on the treatment of NAFLD with TH and its analogues.We review here that thyroid hormone and TR are a potential target for pharmacologic treatments.Lipid metabolism and lipid accumulation can be regulated and reversed by TH and its analogues. | Yue-Ye Huang Aaron M Gusdon Shen Qu | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013，19，45： | 3 |

| 7 | Successful operation of a cooperative SLR station of China and Argentina in San Juan显示文摘We introduced the observations and researches using a Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) system with high precision, which was designed and made in China and installed in the Observatory of San Juan Uni- versity, Argentina, the capability of the system and the achievement of the cooperative procedure be- tween China and Argentina. The SLR station in San Juan, set up by China and Argentina, is quite sig- nificant for improving the distribution of SLR stations and enhancing the orbital coverage of the whole earth. Since the SLR system started to work in the Observatory of San Juan University in the beginning of 2006, the operation is rather good, and rich data with high precision have been obtained.
