3稀有鮈鲫物种敏感性及其在生态毒理学与水质基准中的应用显示文摘物种敏感性分析是水质基准及生态毒理学研究的关键环节,稀有鮈鲫(Gobiocypris rarus)作为我国鲤科鱼类的代表性受试鱼种,其对环境污染物的敏感性受到了国内外广泛关注.通过搜集稀有鮈鲫急性毒性数据,使用物种敏感度分布法比较分析稀有鮈鲫对15种典型环境污染物的敏感性,主要包括重金属(Zn^2+、Cu^2+、Cr^6+、Hg^2+)、VOCs(三氯乙烯、四氯乙烯、甲苯、邻苯二甲酸二丁酯)、苯胺类有机物(对氯苯胺、3,4-二氯苯胺)、含氯消毒剂(三氯异氰尿酸)和农药类有机物(毒死蜱、丁草胺、乙草胺、三唑酮),并对稀有鮈鲫在水质基准和生态毒理学研究中作为本土受试生物的适用性进行了讨论.结果表明:稀有鮈鲫对各类环境污染物的敏感性普遍较高(平均累积概率为46%),尤其对重金属和农药类有机物反应灵敏,其中对农药类有机物最为敏感(平均累积概率为26%),表明稀有鮈鲫可作为潜在的水质基准研究的受试生物和水质监测指示生物.在鱼类敏感性排序中,鲤科鱼类对各类环境污染物较为敏感,其中小型鲤科鱼类——稀有鮈鲫在鱼类敏感性排序中位置稳定,对大多数污染物的敏感性超过斑马鱼、黑头呆鱼、日本青鳉等国际标准试验鱼种,并且具有本土性、易人工繁育、生物背景清晰等优点,表明稀有鮈鲫是现阶段我国水质基准及生态毒理学研究的潜在本土受试生物.范博 樊明 刘征涛 李霁 SCOTT Dyer 王晓南 黄云 2019环境科学研究2019,32,7:10

6Modeling of fiber bridging in fluid flow for well stimulation applications显示文摘Accurate acid placement constitutes a major concern in matrix stimulation because the acid tends to penetrate the zones of least resistance while leaving the low-permeability regions of the formation untreated.Degradable materials(fibers and solid particles)have recently shown a good capability as fluid diversion to overcome the issues related to matrix stimulation.Despite the success achieved in the recent acid stimulation jobs stemming from the use of some products that rely on fiber flocculation as the main diverting mechanism,it was observed that the volume of the base fluid and the loading of the particles are not optimized.The current industry lacks a scientific design guideline because the used methodology is based on experience or empirical studies in a particular area with a particular product.It is important then to understand the fundamentals of how acid diversion works in carbonates with different diverting mechanisms and diverters.Mathematical modeling and computer simulations are effective tools to develop this understanding and are efficiently applied to new product development,new applications of existing products or usage optimization.In this work,we develop a numerical model to study fiber dynamics in fluid flow.We employ a discrete element method in which the fibers are represented by multi-rigid-body systems of interconnected spheres.The discrete fiber model is coupled with a fluid flow solver to account for the inherent simultaneous interactions.The focus of the study is on the tendency for fibers to flocculate and bridge when interacting with suspending fluids and encountering restrictions that can be representative of fractures or wormholes in carbonates.The trends of the dynamic fiber behavior under various operating conditions including fiber loading,flow rate and fluid viscosity obtained from the numerical model show consistency with experimental observations.The present numerical investigation reveals that the bridging capability of the fiber–fluid system can be enhanced by increasing the fiber loading,selecting fibers with higher stiffness,reducing the injection flow rate,reducing the suspending fluid viscosity or increasing the attractive cohesive forces among fibers by using sticky fibers.Mehdi Ghommem Mustapha Abbad Gallyam Aidagulov Steve Dyer Dominic Brady 2020Petroleum Science2020,17,3:4

Flower color signals are frequently tuned to the visual capabilities of important pollinators such as either bees or birds, but far less is known about whether flower shape in fluences the choices of pollinators. We tested European honeybee Apis mellifera pref ere nces using novel achromatic (gray-scale) images of 12 insect-pollinated and 12 bird-pollinated native Australian flowers in Germany;thus, avoiding in flue nces of color, odor, or prior experie nee. In depende nt bees were tested with a number of parameterized images specifically desig ned to assess pref ere nces for size, shape, brightness, or the number of flower-like shapes prese nt in an image. We show that honeybees have a pref ere nee for visiti ng images of in sect-polli nated flowers and such a pref ere nee is most-likely mediated by holistic in formati on rather than by in dividual image parameters. 15Psychophysics of the hoverfly: categorical or continuous color discrimination?显示文摘There is increasing interest in flies as potentially important pollinators. Flies are known to have a complex visual system, in eluding 4 spectral classes of photoreceptors that con tribute to the perception of color. Our current understanding of how color signals are perceived by flies is based on data for the blowfly Lucilia sp., which after being conditi oned to rewarded mono chromatic light stimuli, showed evidenee of a categorical color visual system. The resulting opponent fly color space has 4 distinct categories, and has been used to interpret how some fly pollinators may perceive flower colors. However, formal proof that flower flies (Syrphidae) only use a simple, categorical color process remains outstanding. In free-flying experiments, we tested the hoverfly Eristalis tenax, a Batesian mimic of the honeybee, that receives its nutrition by visiting flowers. Using a range of broadband similar-dissimilar color stimuli previously used to test color perception in pollinating hymenopteran species, we evaluated if there are steep changes in behavioral choices with continuously increasing color differences as might be expected by categorical color processing. Our data revealed that color choices by the hoverfly are mediated by a continuous monotonic function. Thus, these flies did not use a categorical processing, but showed evidenee of a color discrimination function similar to that observed in several bee species. We therefore empirically provide data for the minimum color distanee that can be discriminated by hoverflies in fly color space, enabling an improved un derstandi ng of plant-poll in ator interactions with a non-model insect species.Lea Hannah Adrian G.
