2Role of CD8^(+) regulatory T cells in organ transplantation显示文摘CD8^(+)T cells are regulatory T cells(Tregs)that suppress both alloimmunity and autoimmunity in many animal models.This class of regulatory cells includes the CD8^(+)CD28^(-),CD8^(+)CD103^(+),CD8^(+)FoxP3^(+)and CD8^(+)CD122^(+)subsets.The mechanisms of action of these regulatory cells are not fully understood;however,the secretion of immunosuppressive cytokines,such as interleukin(IL)-4,IL-10 and transforming growth factor beta(TGF-β)as well as the direct killing of target cells via Fas L/Fas and the perforin/granzyme B pathways have been demonstrated in various models.Further studies are necessary to fully understand the mechanisms underlying the suppressive effects of Tregs and to provide experimental support for potential clinical trials.We recently observed that CD8^(+)CD122^(+)Tregs more potently suppressed allograft rejection compared to their CD4^(+)CD25^(+)counterparts,supporting the hypothesis that CD8^(+)Tregs may represent a new and promising Treg family that can be targeted to prevent allograft rejection in the clinic.In this review,we summarize the progress in the field during the past 7-10 years and discuss CD8^(+)Treg phenotypes,mechanisms of action,and their potential clinical applications;particularly in composite tissue transplants in burn and trauma patients.Jiyan Su Qingfeng Xie Yang Xu Xian C.Li Zhenhua Dai 2014Burns & Trauma2014,2,1:3
3Recent progress on lanthanide complexes/clay minerals hybrid luminescent materials显示文摘The unique luminescent performance of lanthanide complexes/clay minerals hybrid materials has been fascinating many researchers for recent decades.It not only retains the excellent luminescent characteristics of lanthanide complexes but also improves the poor stability of the complexes.In this article,we introduce the luminescence mechanism of lanthanide complexes and point out the necessity of their combination with clay minerals.After the analysis of the structure and interlayer environment differences of 1:1-type and 2:1-type clay minerals,the intercalation methods(covalent grafting and ion exchange)appropriate for different clay minerals are summarized with examples.Based on the luminescence characteristics of the hybrid materials,the applications of these materials as luminescent probes in recognition of specific metal cations and molecules,detection of pH value,and temperature are reviewed.Finally,the current problems in the preparation of lanthanide complexes/clay minerals hybrid luminescent materials and shortcomings that need improvement in their performance are analyzed,and the application prospect is forecast.Ga Zhang Lefu Mei Junjie Ding Ke Su Qingfeng Guo Guocheng Lv Libing Liao 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,9:2
4Contents Variation Analysis ofγ-Amino Butyric Acid in Semen sojae praeparatum Fermentation Using Online Pre-Column Derivatization-HPLC显示文摘This paper reported the contents variation analysis ofγ-amino butyric acid(GABA)in Semen sojae praeparatum(SSP)which is a famous traditional Chinese medicine.High performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)was used and GABA was derivatized by online pre-column derivatization with o-phthalaldehyde(OPA).To validate this method,the precision,stability,repeatability and recovery were discussed.In the concentration range from 0.0125 to 0.400 mg/m L,the calibration curve for GABA was linear and the regression equation was obtained with correlation coefficient(R2)of 0.9999.Relatively high levels of GABA exist in SSP and the content changes of GABA at different time points during the fermenting process were detected.At the'yellow cladding'stage,GABA level was very low or even undetectable;the'secondary fermentation'stage witnessed a rapid increase of GABA content to 1.39-5.52 mg/g,which remained stable after 18 days of'secondary fermentation'.This study demonstrated that GABA was generated at the'secondary fermentation'stage,revealing the significance and rationality of the'secondary fermentation'stage in the fermenting process of SSP.On the other hand,it suggested the downside of taking soy isoflavones as the only measurement in existing quality assessment and optimization approach for the fermenting process of SSP.WENG Meizhi HE Jing REN Jiaxiu LIANG Yonghong CHEN Qingfeng SU Mingsheng WANG Liyuan XIE Xiaomei 2021Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2021,26,1:2
5A joint call for actions to advance taxonomy in China显示文摘Taxonomy plays an important role in understanding the origin, evolution, and ecological functionality of biodiversity. There are large number of unknown species yet to be described by taxonomists, which together with their ecosystem services cannot be effectively protected prior to description. Despite this, taxonomy has been increasingly underrated insufficient funds and permanent positions to retain young talents. Further, the impact factordriven evaluation systems in China exacerbate this downward trend, so alternative evaluation metrics are urgently necessary. When the current generation of outstanding taxonomists retires,there will be too few remaining taxonomists left to train the next generation. 6Impact of Untreated Sedimentation Tank Sludge Water Recycle on Water Quality During Treatment of Low Turbidity Water显示文摘The overall purpose of this research is to examine the impact of untreated sedimentation tank sludge water( USTSW) recycle on water quality during treatment of low turbidity water in coagulation—sedimentation processes. 950 m L of raw water and different concentrations of 50 m L USTSW are injected into six 1 000 m L beakers without coagulant.The results indicate that USTSW characterized as accumulated suspended solids and organic matter has active ingredients,which possess the equivalent function of coagulant. The optimal blended water turbidity is in the range of 10-20 NTU,within which USTSW recycle achieves the highest save coagulant rate. The mechanism of strengthening coagulation effect when USTSW recycle mainly depends on the chemical effect and physical effect. What is more,through scanning electron microscopy( SEM),it is found that the floc structures with USTSW recycle are more compact than those without USTSW recycle. 8Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C. 9Promoting near-infrared photocatalytic activity of carbon-doped carbon nitride via solid alkali activation显示文摘Ultrabroad spectral absorption is required for semiconductor photocatalysts utilized for solar-to-chemical energy conversion.The light response range can be extended by element doping,but the photocatalytic performance is generally not enhanced correspondingly.Here we present a solid alkali activation strategy to synthesize near-infrared(NIR)light-activated carbon-doped polymeric carbon nitride(A-cPCN)by combining the copolymerization of melamine and 1,3,5-trimesic acid.The prepared A-cPCN is highly crystalline with a narrowed bandgap and enhanced efficiency in the separation of photogenerated electrons and holes.Under irradiation with NIR light(780 nm≥λ≥700 nm),A-cPCN shows an excellent photocatalytic activity for H_(2)generation from water with rate of 165µmol g^(−1)h^(−1),and the photo-redox activity for H_(2)O_(2)production(109µmol g^(−1)h^(−1))from H_(2)O and O_(2),whereas no observed photocatalytic activity over pure PCN.The NIR photocatalytic activity is due to carbon doping,which leads to the formation of an interband level,and the alkali activation that achieved shrinking the transfer distance of photocarriers.The current synergistic strategy may open insights to fabricate other carbon-nitrogen-based photocatalysts for enhanced solar energy capture and conversion.Qingfeng Li Can Ren Chuntian Qiu Tingchao He Qitao Zhang Xiang Ling Yangsen Xu Chenliang Su 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,11:1
10Molecular cytogenetic analyses of two new wheat-rye 6RL translocation lines with resistance to wheat powdery mildew显示文摘Rye(Secale cereale)is a valuable gene donor for wheat improvement,especially for its resistance to diseases.Developing rye-derived resistance sources is important for wheat breeding.In the present study,two wheat-rye derivatives,designated JS016 and JS110,were produced by crossing common wheat cultivar Yangmai 23 with Pakistani rye accession W2A.Using sequential genomic in situ hybridization(GISH)and multicolor fluorescence in situ hybridization(mc-FISH),JS016 and JS110 were identified as a T6BS.6RL translocation line and a T6BS.6BL6RL translocation line,respectively.Ten newly 6RL chromosome arm-specific markers were developed and used to confirm the 6RL translocation.The wheat 55K single-nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)array further verified the molecular cytogenetic identification results above and clarified their breakpoints at 430.9 and 523.0 Mb of chromosome 6B in JS016 and JS110,respectively.Resistance spectrum and allelism test demonstrated that JS016 and JS110 possessed novel powdery mildew resistance gene(s)that was derived from the 6RL translocation but differed from Pm20.Moreover,JS016 and JS110 had better agronomic traits than the previously reported 6RL translocation line carrying Pm20.To efficiently transfer and detect the 6RL translocation from JS016 and JS110,one 6RL-specific Kompetitive allele specific PCR(KASP)marker was developed and validated in high throughput marker-assisted selection(MAS).Shanying Zhu Haonan Du Fuyu Su Jin Wang Qingfeng Meng Tianlei Liu Rui Guo Zhaozhao Chen Huanhuan Li Wenxuan Liu Pengtao Ma Huagang He 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,2:1

12Fabrication of taxifolin loaded zein-caseinate nanoparticles and its bioavailability in rats显示文摘Taxifolin loaded zein-caseinate nanoparticles(TZP)were fabricated by the anti-solvent method and were used as an oral delivery vehicle to improve their bioavailability in the rat.The formulations of TZP were optimized.With mass ratio of 1:1:2 between taxifolin,zein and sodium caseinate,the particle size andζpotential of TZP were(168.74±0.35)nm and−(57.67±0.25)mV,while the encapsulation and loading efficiency of taxifolin were(85.83±0.89)%and(17.11±0.88)%,respectively.After freeze-drying,TZP exhibited excellent redispersibility in water without aggregation.Physicochemical characterization showed that taxifolin existed in amorphous form in TZP and its interaction with the protein was observed.After encapsulating in TZP,the excellent dispersion of taxifolin in water signifi cantly improve its diffusion velocity through a semipermeable membrane.After oral administration,taxifolin and its 5 metabolites were identifi ed in rat plasma by ultra high performance liquid chromatography(UPLC)with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-QTOF-MS).The dynamic variation of taxifolin and its metabolites in plasma were then quantifi ed by UPLC with a triple-quadrupole typemass spectroscopy(UPLC-QqQ-MS/MS).A pharmacokinetic study showed that the bioavailability of taxifolin increased from 0.35%to 0.52%through TZP fabrication.The plasma concentration of taxifolin glucuronide and methylated taxifolin glucuronide was much higher than taxifolin.Glucuronidation was the dominating metabolism pathway of taxifolin in vivo.Ying Li Hang Su Wenjun Wang Zhongping Yin Jing’en Li En Yuan Qingfeng Zhang 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,6:1
13A de novo missense mutation in MPP2 confers an increased risk of Vogt–Koyanagi–Harada disease as shown by trio-based whole-exome sequencing显示文摘Vogt–Koyanagi–Harada(VKH)disease is a leading cause of blindness in young and middle-aged people.However,the etiology of VKH disease remains unclear.Here,we performed the first trio-based whole-exome sequencing study,which enrolled 25 VKH patients and 50 controls,followed by a study of 2081 VKH patients from a Han Chinese population to uncover detrimental mutations.A total of 15 de novo mutations in VKH patients were identified,with one of the most important being the membrane palmitoylated protein 2(MPP2)p.K315N(MPP2-N315)mutation.The MPP2-N315 mutation was highly deleterious according to bioinformatic predictions.Additionally,this mutation appears rare,being absent from the 1000 Genome Project and Genome Aggregation Database,and it is highly conserved in 10 species,including humans and mice.Subsequent studies showed that pathological phenotypes and retinal vascular leakage were aggravated in MPP2-N315 mutation knock-in or MPP2-N315 adeno-associated virus-treated mice with experimental autoimmune uveitis(EAU).In vitro,we used clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR‒Cas9)gene editing technology to delete intrinsic MPP2 before overexpressing wild-type MPP2 or MPP2-N315.Levels of cytokines,such as IL-1β,IL-17E,and vascular endothelial growth factor A,were increased,and barrier function was destroyed in the MPP2-N315 mutant ARPE19 cells.Mechanistically,the MPP2-N315 mutation had a stronger ability to directly bind to ANXA2 than MPP2-K315,as shown by LC‒MS/MS and Co-IP,and resulted in activation of the ERK3/IL-17E pathway.Overall,our results demonstrated that the MPP2-K315N mutation may increase susceptibility to VKH disease.Xianyang Liu Jiayu Meng Xingyun Liao Yusen Liu Qian Zhou Zongren Xu Shuming Yin Qingfeng Cao Guannan Su Siyuan He Wanqian Li Xiaotang Wang Guoqing Wang Dali Li Peizeng Yang Shengping Hou 2023Cellular & Molecular Immunology2023,20,11:0
14基于激光三角法的电装后PCB成像系统设计显示文摘With the increasing miniaturisation and integration of electronic products and the increase of heat, it is necessary to design and introduce heat sinks and install fans. The volume of electronic components, especially the height, is very important for the structural and thermal design of electronic devices. This paper presents a design scheme of an online height measurement device based on laser triangulation and commercial charge coupled device(CCD). It analyzes the principles of electronic component height measurement, and expounds the composition and working principle of the laser measurement system. In addition, the commonly used methods to determine the center position are compared and analysed. These methods include circle fitting, gray centroid and extension method or Gaussian fitting. These methods usually lead to different results. The experimental results show that the fitting speed of the gray centroid is faster. 17LncFASA promotes cancer ferroptosis via modulating PRDX1 phase separation显示文摘Ferroptosis, a unique type of non-apoptotic cell death resulting from iron-dependent lipid peroxidation, has a potential physiological function in tumor suppression, but its underlying mechanisms have not been fully elucidated. Here, we report that the long non-coding RNA(lncRNA) LncFASA increases the susceptibility of triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC) to ferroptosis. As a tumor suppressor, LncFASA drives the formation of droplets containing peroxiredoxin1(PRDX1), a member of the peroxidase family, resulting in the accumulation of lipid peroxidation via the SLC7A11-GPX4 axis. Mechanistically, LncFASA directly binds to the Ahpc-TSA domain of PRDX1, inhibiting its peroxidase activity by driving liquid-liquid phase separation, which disrupts intracellular ROS homeostasis. Notably, high LncFASA expression indicates favorable overall survival in individuals with breast cancer, and LncFASA impairs the growth of breast xenograft tumors by modulating ferroptosis. 20Multifunctionalized carbon-fiber-reinforced polyetheretherketone implant for rapid osseointegration under infected environment显示文摘Carbon fiber reinforced polyetheretherketone(CFRPEEK)possesses a similar elastic modulus to that of human cortical bone and is considered as a promising candidate to replace metallic implants.However,the bioinertness and deficiency of antibacterial activities impede its application in orthopedic and dentistry.In this work,titanium plasma immersion ion implantation(Ti-PⅢ)is applied to modify CFRPEEK,achieving unique multi-hierarchical nanostructures and active sites on the surface.Then,hybrid polydopamine(PDA)@ZnO-EDN1 nanoparticles(NPs)are introduced to construct versatile surfaces with improved osteogenic and angiogenic properties and excellent antibacterial properties.Our study established that the modified CFRPEEK presented favorable stability and cytocompatibility.Compared with bare CFRPEEK,improved osteogenic differentiation of rat mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)and vascularization of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)are found on the functionalized surface due to the zinc ions and EDN1 releasing.In vitro bacteriostasis assay confirms that hybrid PDA@ZnO NPs on the functionalized surface provided an effective antibacterial effect.Moreover,the rat infected model corroborates the enhanced antibiosis and osteointegration of the functionalized CFRPEEK.Our findings indicate that the multilevel nanostructured PDA@ZnO-EDN1 coated CFRPEEK with enhanced antibacterial,angiogenic,and osteogenic capacity has great potential as an orthopedic/dental implant material for clinical application.Xiao Wang Lisha Pan Ao Zheng Lingyan Cao Jin Wen Tingshu Su Xiangkai Zhang Qingfeng Huang Xinquan Jiang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,6:0
