1Self-induced birefringence of white-light continuum generated by interaction of focused femtosecond laser pulses with fused silica显示文摘White-light continuum can be induced by the interaction of intense femtosecond laser pulses with condensed materials.By using two orthogonal polarizers,a self-induced birefringence of continuum is observed when focusing femtosecond laser pulses into bulk fused silica.That is,the generated white-light continuum is synchronously modulated anisotropically while propagating in fused silica.Time-resolved detection confirms that self-induced birefringence of continuum shows a growth and saturation feature with time evolution.By adjusting laser energy,the transmitted intensity of continuum modulated by self-induced birefringence also varies correspondingly.Morphology analysis with time evolution indicates that it is the focused femtosecond laser pulses that induce anisotropic microstructures in bulk fused silica,and the anisotropic structures at the same time modulate the generated continuum.J.Qian G.D.Wang K.Y.Lou D.Y.Shen Q.Fu Q.Z.Zhao 2020High Power Laser Science and Engineering2020,8,2:2

5通过中微子散散实验提取原子核形状因子显示文摘This year we continued to study experiments that can be performed using neutrinos produced via Decay At Rest(DAR)at spallation sources.In 2017 the COHERENT collaboration was able to measure for the first time Coherent Elastic Neutrino Nucleus Scattering(CENNS)[1]:neutrinos are produced at the Spallation Neutruon Source(SNS)via Pion Decay At Rest(πDAR).The study on CENNS brings us to a new precision era:first of all,any deviation from the Standard Model prediction can be a sign of new physics;moreover,neutrino-nucleus interactions are crucial in the understating of core collapse supernovae,and information on the CENNS cross section can be useful for the next generation dark matter detectors,since they are rapidly approaching to the intrinsic neutrino background floor.E.Ciuffoli J.Evslin Q.Fu H.Mohammed J.Tang 2018IMP & HIRFL Annual Report2018,,1:0
