| 3 | Heterosis and heritability estimates for the survival of the Pacific white shrimp(Litopenaeus vannamei) under the commercial scale ponds显示文摘The aim of the present study is to detect the potential of the base population from diallel crosses of eight introduced strains of the Pacific white shrimp(Litopenaeus vannamei) for improving the yield. Heterosis and heritability were estimated for pond survival at commercial farm conditions for the base population that included 207 full-sib families from a nested mating design by artificial insemination. Among all the hybrids,the heterosis ranged from –11.37%(UA1×UA2) to 20.53%(UA3×SIN) with an average of 0.953%. The results showed that more than half of the hybrids(51.85%) have negative heterosis for survival rate, but most of the hybrids with positive heterosis have high estimates. The high proportion of negative heterosis for survival rate reminders us that the survival trait also should be considered in the crossbreeding program to avoid yield decrease. However, high positive heterosis manifested in most of the hybrids for survival indicates the usefulness of these hybrids for improving the survival to obtain higher yield by crossbreeding in this breeding program. The heritability estimate for pond survival was 0.092±0.043 when genetic groups were included in the pedigree, and it was significantly different from zero(P<0.05). | 5 | Genome Size of Alexandrium catenella and Gracilariopsis lemaneiformis Estimated by Flow Cytometry显示文摘Flow cytometry(FCM) technique has been widely applied to estimating the genome size of various higher plants. However, there is few report about its application in algae. In this study, an optimized procedure of FCM was exploited to estimate the genome size of two eukaryotic algae. For analyzing Alexandrium catenella, an important red tide species, the whole cell instead of isolated nucleus was studied, and chicken erythrocytes were used as an internal reference. The genome size of A. catenella was estimated to be 56.48 ± 4.14 Gb(1C), approximately nineteen times larger than that of human genome. For analyzing Gracilariopsis lemaneiformis, an important economical red alga, the purified nucleus was employed, and Arabidopsis thaliana and Chondrus crispus were used as internal references, respectively. The genome size of Gp. lemaneiformis was 97.35 ± 2.58 Mb(1C) and 112.73 ± 14.00 Mb(1C), respectively, depending on the different internal references. | 11 | Preparation, Structure and Performances of Cross-Linked Regenerated Cellulose Fibers显示文摘Cross-linked regenerated cellulose fibers(CRCFs) were prepared by wet spinning firstly and then treated by high temperature curing. Cellulose dissolved in ionic liquid together with wrinkle proofing agent and cross-linking agent was employed as spinning solution. The properties and structure of CRCFs were investigated. Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis show that CRCFs were prepared successfully and the crystal form of the fibers remained the same before and after cross-linking. | 12 | Analysis of DNA Methylation of Gracilariopsis lemaneiformis Under Temperature Stress Using the Methylation Sensitive Amplification Polymorphism(MSAP) Technique显示文摘Gracilariopsis lemaneiformis is an economically important agarophyte, which contains high quality gel and shows a high growth rate. Wild population of G. lemaneiformis displayed resident divergence, though with a low genetic diversity as was revealed by amplified fragment length polymorphism(AFLP) and simple sequence repeat(SSR) analyses. In addition, different strains of G. lemaneiformis are diverse in morphology. The highly inconsistence between genetic background and physiological characteristics recommends strongly to the regulation at epigenetic level. In this study, the DNA methylation change in G. lemaneiformis among different generation branches and under different temperature stresses was assessed using methylation sensitive amplified polymorphism(MSAP) technique. It was shown that DNA methylation level among different generation branches was diverse. The full and total methylated DNA level was the lowest in the second generation branch and the highest in the third generation. The total methylation level was 61.11%, 60.88% and 64.12% at 15℃, 22℃ and 26℃, respectively. Compared with the control group(22℃), the fully methylated and totally methylated ratios were increased in both experiment groups(15℃ and 26℃). All of the cytosine methylation/demethylation transform(CMDT) was further analyzed. | 15 | A Distinguishing Method and Distribution Characteristics of Fog and Haze Days in Fuzhou显示文摘For data of atmospheric composition missing,fog and haze days were distinguished based on the standard of meteorological industry Observation and Forecasting Levels of Haze( QX /T113-2010) and four user-defined standards,and using data of surface meteorological factors in Fuzhou City,China from 2005 to 2011,temporal distributions of fog and haze days were analyzed respectively to provide methods for fog and haze forecast. The results showed that there were 28. 9 fog days and 89. 7 haze days per year in Fuzhou. Both fog and haze days were variable,and there might be a day difference of twice to thrice among the years. They were the most in 2007,and then decreased in recent years. Both fog and haze days were more in winter and spring,accounted for 94. 1% and 70. 1% respectively,while in summer and autumn,they only accounted for5. 9% and 29. 9% respectively. In a day,fog mainly occurred from night to early morning,while haze occurred mainly at about noon,which demonstrated that fog and haze are different synoptic phenomena.
